Izuku had destroyed eight three pointers which looked like american military tanks. They had the ability to shoot, what he assumed, hoped, were rubber bullets.
'I'm I bullet proof? I have to be with the force I'm exerting but that would mean most strength enhanced individuals would be bulletproof and they aren't... but they don't have One For All.' The greenette thought as he quickly obliterated seven two pointers that resembled massive scorpions with two stingers and crawled on two massive, metal plates. 'I should ask Toshinori-Sensei."
'Thirty nine points.' Izuku heard footsteps and realized the other competitors were catching up to him.
The freckled teen looked around for more villian bots, tilting his head, he heard a bunch of noise on the seventh floor of a nearby building. Izuku crouched down and leaped, shattering the floor in the process of diving through the closet window.
The emerald eyed teen quickly counted around ten one pointers, four two pointers and four three pointers. "Why here? Most of the other participants wouldn't even think to look inside the buildings." Izuku muttered to himself, demolishing all of them in a single minute.
...
Within a room, a dozen Quirk wielding individuals were watching the exam, taking place by would-be students of U.A. "Listen well, young ones! You have been invited along with your guardians to watch the practical exam. You may be asking 'why?' We'll that is because on a practical level the recommendation exam does not test on what a Pro-Hero should be. We assume that because you were recommended by a Pro Hero, you would know but it doesn't hurt to be safe, now does it?" A two foot and nine inch white furred creature that looked like a mix between mouse, dog, and bear wearing a white button up shirt, a black vest, matching pants, along with a red tie and brown shoes, stated.
"Now as you can see, there are many ways for a test takers to obtain points; some use sheer speed.'' Nezu pointed towards two screens.
One showed a brown furred beast that blitzed several villain bots, the second screen showed a muscular, blue haired boy wearing square glasses and kicking through a group of villain bots with his engine-like legs.
"Others use reconnaissance to gather information and then use what they gather to defeat their enemies." The white furred animal switched over to two different recordings; one showing Kyoka plugging her earphones into the ground and the second with a tall, tan white haired teen with six arms, each one having large ears at the end of them, standing on the edge of a building, clearly listening for something.
"And of course, there are those who use sheer combat ability to stand ahead of the crowd.'' Nezu pointed at two other monitors that showed Katsuki surrounded by broken and burning robots with a bloodthirsty grin across his face and a fair skinned girl with thick, green vines for hair that were piercing several villain bots all around her person, never moving an inch.
"But the greatest way to obtain many points is to use a combination of all these skills." The principal of U.A pointed towards the middle monitor, showing Izuku glowing with sparks of electricity jumping off his form and bright red veins pulsating across his entire body surrounding by destroyed villain bots, he walked towards a slim blonde boy with feminine features who was on his back with wide, fearful eyes and helped him up to his feet.
After a moment Izuku turned his head slightly, as if he heard something and he ran with speed almost unmatched.
He appeared in front of a whimpering student trying to defend himself against a three pointer and quickly destroy it. "Future students of U.A meet Midoriya Izuku, the only student in our school's history to obtain over a hundred and fifty points in the practical exam." The four recommended students' eyes widened at the information.
"You might be wondering 'how?' Well truthfully he's only gathered around seventy points for destroying the villain bots. Impressive but it has been done plenty of times!" The short stature principal grinned with manic energy. "Except of course we're a Hero school! What kind of institution would this be, if we didn't recognize and reward the action that Heroes are literally trained to do?" Nezu questioned with a smirk, frightening both children and faculty alike.
"You see, this young man has also gathered eighty rescue points. Again it has been done before but still impressive." he stroked his whiskered chin. "The thing is, no examiner has ever obtained this amount of points together before!" He exclaimed with a bright, hungry smile causing one person to whimper.
"Midoriya-San does not only have a strong body but a Hero's spirit. While others run around trying to destroy as many villian bots as they can, he has defended his fellow participants without a second's thought or hesitation, almost completely forging, gaining any more points since the second minute of the exam." The suit wearing animal pointed towards the skin. 'He is what you all should aim to be." Izuku's glowing green eyes seem to pierce through the camera making the four students sit a little straighter.
The beady eyed principal looked at his wristwatch and smirked. "Now it's time for the final test." He stated and all the U.A teachers stood straight, causing slight confusion amongst the recommendation students.
The suited animal pressed a button and the ground began to shake, a grin stretched across Nezu's face.
...
Izuku's eyes widened in horror as a twelve story large villianbot appread, shaking the ground with each step. "What the fuck.." the fifteen year old muttered, standing completely still, while several people bumped into him, running away in fear.
The robot raised it's fist up in the air and brought it down, destroying the surrounding buildings.
'My Kami, that's the zero pointer?!' Izuku looked at the damage but as he did, the freckled teen saw several participants either knocked out, in pain and unable to move, and/or trying to escape from under rumble.
Izuku's eyes burnt with power as ran towards the possible U.A students and started tossing the ruble off the teenagers and ran them to safety.
The greenette was only halfway done with his impromptu evacuation when the monstrosity's multiple red eyes began glowing with energy aimed towards them.
Izuku knew that even if he could rapt up One For All to his upper limit of twelve percent, he wouldn't be able to save them all, so he didn't.
The greenette leaped off the ground and channeled a hundred percent of his power towards his right arm and punched the laser head on. "AAGGHHHH!" Izuku screamed, feeling his arm shatter and burnt along with his shirt but like he thought, the energy was being pushed back and canceled out.
After a moment the energy seemed to run out and Izuku fell to the ground, cracking the concrete around him.
Once the freckled teen resituated himself, Izuku immediately restarted his evacuation of the U.A hopefuls, ignoring the agony that was his right arm.
As Izuku finished, he stood in front of the zero pointer ready for round two. The fair skinned teen looked towards his burned and shattered right arm and decided against using it again.
The ninth One For All user channeled about twenty percent of One For All in his left appendage instead.
The greenette leaped towards the robot again, which blasted him with the destructive red energy but unlike before, he had nothing to protect and twisted his body to avoid the blast.
Izuku landed on its head and caved it in with his fist, breaking his arm in the process.
...
"Looks like we have a new record holder for most rescue points earned!" The white furred creature laughed with a high pitched cackle that sounded like a Lion's roar or a mad scientist who just discovered a way to cheat death. Nezu's laugh would haunt many people in the room for years to come.
The four recommended students looked at each other and silently wondered who Midoriya Izuku was.
...
Izuku smiled with guilt as Shuzenji-San kissed him on the forehead. "I thought you had your power under control?" she questioned the bare chested boy who flexed his unburnt, unbroken arms.
"I do! It's just that... well ten percent wasn't going to destroy the robot!" Izuku exclaimed, as he waved his arms around the destruction the giant villain bot caused.
"Mmmmm." the older woman hummed in what the greenette knew was doubt. "You could have just ran after you saved everyone." Chiyo stated with narrowed eyes.
"Yeah sure and let the robot rampage? The best way to protect everyone is to destroy the machine before it could cause anymore damage." The greenette firmly spoke and the healer raised a skeptical eyebrow.
"You do know this is a test right?" The short woman questioned the freckled teen, as Izuku was about to retort, nothing came out of his mouth.
"The exam's over!" Present Mic's voice called out.
"I'm going to find more irresponsible kids to heal. Have a good day Midoriya-Kun." She bid the teen a farewell as she hobbled over to a groaned blonde Izuku saved earlier.
"You too, Shuzenji-San." Izuku called back and then dropped his face into his hands, shaking his head at his idiocy.
...
"I definitely passed, Izuku-Kun! You should have seen me, I was destroying villain bots left and right." Itsuka hugged the taller boy with a large smile.
"Me too but I might have over done it though, just a little." Itsuka looked confused but waved the greenette off.
"I'm sure it wasn't that bad." The orangette comforted the boy who simply smiled and shrugged.
...
Izuku sat across from his predecessor as he ate an American cheeseburger with curly fries on the side and a vanilla milkshake to drown the food down. "So, how well do you think you did?" Toshinori asked as he drank some water.
"Well, I definitely passed the written exam with no problem and got around eighty points before the practical exam ended." Izuku told the blonde, emaciated man who grinned with pride.
"That's great! Congrats Izuku-Shounen!" Toshinori sighed with an easy grin before it slipped off his face. "I. .. also have some news that I have neglected to tell you." Izuku looked at his mentor's frown and hard blue eyes, the teen laid down his half eaten burger, paying absolute attention to the man.
"I'm not sure if you noticed but I've been spending a lot more time training you this last year." Izuku nodded, the greenette had realized that unlike the other two years, Toshinori had been with him every single day to supervise and help him control One For All. "It's because after I transferred my Quirk to you all that I was left with were ambers that disappeared faster and faster the more I used them. Izuku-Kun I, I can't be a Hero anymore." Izuku's eyes widened in disbelief and he started to breathe heavily.
"We both knew this was going to happen. Frankly, I'm surprised it hadn't happened sooner but I can only use One For All for five minutes now and with you entering U.A, I think it's the best time to announce you are here." Izuku flinched at the suggestion.
"If I just disappear without saying anything the people of Japan will come to the worst conclusion, so in a week I will be in an interview where I will announce my retirement and then, well then, it's up to you." Toshinori stated with a smile which Izuku didn't think he deserved at the moment, fear was crawling through his body. "And you'll do great." The soon to be retired Hero assured his successor.
...
Izuku got his acceptance letter in the mail a few days before Itsuka and with all his friends begging, the greenette decided to wait until they both could open it together.
The orangette shook the greenette on Mirio's couch as they stared at their U.A letters, "My Kami, Izuku-Kun aren't you excited?!" Itsuka exclaimed as she looked at her letter with Mirio, Nejire and Tamaki sitting below them on the ground looking on with excitement.
"I was... three days ago." Itsuka pouted until Izuku poked her cheek. "Stop that, you're going to give me beehives with your cuteness." he teased the girl who blushed causing both Mirio and Tamaki to laugh and Nejire to pout.
"Nejire-Chan has rubbed off on you too much." Itsuka stated and Izuku shrugged his shoulders and looked towards the periwinkle haired girl and smiled brightly.
"Yes, she has." Nejire blushed and suddenly hugged the boy.
"You've rubbed off on me too, Izu-Kun." Nejire said with Mirio and Tamaki joining in on the hug, causing the quartet to fall onto the ground.
"Ha! Karma." Itsuka giggled slightly at the pile of limbs who took a moment to untangle themselves and stand up again.
"Okay, let's stop messing around! I want to see if you two got in?!" Mirio exclaimed with unadulterated excitement and both teens nodded.
Once Izuku sat down, the duo opened their letters and took out it's contents; a hologram disk which suddenly turned on revealing a hobo-like man and a white haired, tan man with large fangs protruding from his lower jaw." " "Aizawa-Sensei and Kan-Sensei!" " " The three highschool students exclaimed at the same time.
"Hello, I'm going to get straight to the point. you passed, Congrats.'' Aizawa's voice was rough and flat with no enthusiasm.
"Hello, Kendo-San! You've really impressed us with your performance. You received a seventy seven on the written exam and placed sixth on the practical exam." Kan-Sensei exclaimed with a smile.
"Well he hasn't changed." Izuku muttered remembering the man who gave Mirio and Tamaki their results and feeling a little jealous that Itsuka's was so much better.
"Midoriya Izuku." Izuku grinned.
"Kendo Itsuka." Itsuka felt like she could do anything.
"Welcome to Class 1-A."
"Welcome to Class 1-B."
The holograms turned off and the duo hugged each other as their friends cheered. As they separated, Itsuka looked straight into Izuku's eyes.
"Izuku-Kun there's something I've wanted to tell you for a whi-" Izuku's head was forcibly turned and the greenette felt his lips being assaulted by a pair of soft, plump ones.
As they separated, Izuku felt his entire face catch on literal fire. "I like you. I like you alot, go out with me." Nejire asked and Itsuka couldn't believe her ears while Mirio and Tamaki couldn't, actually they could.
Nejire never hesitated to demean what she wanted.
"Whh..what?" Izuku questioned with utter confusion and Nejire giggled.
"I like you, Izu-Kun. I've liked you for almost as long as I've known you but I knew you weren't ready. That training and getting into U.A would take up every single drop of your attention and having a girlfriend would just get in the way, so I waited. I'm done waiting. Go out with me?" Izuku opened and closed his mouth several times.
"Why me?" The freckled teen asked with a small voice and Nejire rolled her eyes.
"Because you're sweet and in your own dorky way, charming. You're incredibly intelligent and surprisingly sarcastic. You pay attention to me even when I'm talking a million miles per minute but saying nothing and your Heroic heart and drive is incredibly hot." she giggled and Izuku laughed along with her.
"Yeah! Okay, I would love to." Izuku answered, Nejire threw her arms in the air and cheered, before kissing the boy again.
Itsuka sighed, closing her eyes.'I should have gotten straight to the point.' she thought to herself in disbelief and hurt.
...
Izuku felt the weight of the world on his shoulders but that was nothing new. Ever since his master told him what he was training for, the weight just became a part of him.
What was new was how every Hero he saw looked the same way. Two weeks ago Toshinori announced he was retiring and the entire world cried in shock. His mom passed out when she heard, Mirio seemed almost catatonic, even Katsuki was less livelier.
All that in turn made the greenette want to train harder. Izuku had four months until he started U.A and he was going to use every spare minute to unlock the secrets of One For All and become the next Symbol of Peace.
...
Inko smiled widely at the dinner table as they ate the lunch she made, Izuku looked at the woman who gave him birth with suspicion. "Why are you so happy?" The greenette questioned with narrowed eyes.
"Oh no reason~~!"Inko hummed and Izuku felt something click.
"That patient of yours asked you out, didn't he?!" the teen exclaimed with a grin and his mom confirmed with a blushing face.
"Yes! He told me that after today he was going to ask if he could switch nurses because he had developed feelings for me and as I was stammering in reply he asked me out!" She squealed and Izuku got up from his seat and moved around the table to hug his mother.
"That's amazing mom! Ok when's the date?" the emerald eyed teen asked.
"Saturday." Inko stated, her voice muffled in his shirt.
"I can't wait to meet him." Izuku said with a grin as he kissed his mother's forehead.
...
"Zuzu!" Nejire cheered, immediately kissing the greenette as she opened the door, leaving Izuku red in the face and stammering. "You look amazing!" She complimented the teen as she entered the hallway and closed the door of her apartment.
Izuku couldn't say a word as he stared at his girlfriend. Her hair seemed perfectly curled, surrounding her like a guardian angel, she wore a green sun dress that ended at the middle of her creamy white thighs and showed some cleavage of her almost 'D' cup breasts, it almost made Izuku's heart stop.
"You're so beautiful..." Izuku muttered and Nejire grinned at the taller teen and kissed him again, a light blush on her cheeks.
The freckled teen himself felt a little underdressed and looked down at his open, yellow dress shirt that was folded up to his elbows, a plain purple t-shirt underneath, and black jeans with his red sneakers. "I'm so.." he tried to apologize but Nejire put a single finger on his lips.
"I don't care." She smiled brightly. "I'm just happy to be with you, Zuzu." Izuku sighed with a smile before his face exploded red.
"Di..di...did yo..yo..you call me Zuzu!?" The ninth One For All user exclaimed in surprise with a stutter he felt he hadn't had in years.
"Yep! You're my boyfriend now! I need to mark my territory." Izuku blinked in disbelief and laughed a little at how serious she said that. "You should come up with a cute nickname for me too!" She stretched to her tippy toes and leaned in, whispering in his left ear. "That way everybody knows I'm your girl." Izuku shivered at her low and raspy voice.
When she pulled away Izuku saw her half lidded eyes and slightly open mouth. Nejire's pink tongue lightly poked out and licked her upper lip, as she stared at the boy. "Oh my Kami, you're hot." The bushy haired teen stated in disbelief, getting an innocent look from the bluenette. "I thought you were just a cute, bubbly girl but you're actually a minx!" All Might's successor accused the girl who softly bit her lip and looked up at the boy with large, blue eyes as she held onto his hands.
"I have no idea what you mean, Zuzu." Nejire softly and innocently said before a large grin broke onto her face. "Let's go! I'm getting hungry!" she exclaimed and began pulling along Izuku.
"I've been fooled." The greenette muttered to himself as he stared at the back of Nejire, after a moment his eyes went lower before immediately snapping back to their original position, his face containing a large blush. 'I need a grown up!' he screamed internally.
...
Izuku grinned at the girl with a tired but fulfilled expression. "I had an amazing time tonight Nene-Chan." Nejire pouted at the boy.
"Just Nene, Zuzu." She nodded with a serious expression, the taller teen felt his face blush once again but nodded.
"Okay, Nene." Nejire let out a large cheer and pulled the boy into another searing kiss that lasted a few more seconds then normal.
"I.. need… um.." Izuku's mind blanked for a moment. "I should..."
"Do you want to watch a movie?" Nejire asked as she held the greenette hands with curious eyes that Izuku now knew held mischief. "But be warned I'm a cuddler..." The periwinkle haired girl stretched forward towards his ear. "And we probably won't be watching much of the movie." Izuku swallowed thickly and nodded.
Nejire pulled him into her apartment and slammed the door closed.
...
Izuku rolled under a high kick performed by Itsuka and quickly swept under her legs. He moved in closer to strike her face but the orangette wrapped her lower appendages around his arm and neck, forcing his face into her chest.
The orangette struck him several times on top of his head but Izuku forced himself to kneel, lifting her several inches off the ground and slammed her back onto the mat. "Oof!" Itsuka's grip lessened on the greenette and when given the chance, he slammed his palm into her nose.
"Kami, damn it!" The teal eyed girl held her now bleeding nose. "You win." She muttered as she pushed herself onto her butt and looked at the smiling boy.
"Why are you grinning?" she questioned with narrowed eyes and Izuku looked away from her piercing glare.
"I won against you the fourth time this week, isn't that enough reason to smile." The freckled teen rhetorically asked, clearly lying as he refused to even look her in the eye.
"Fine, don't tell me." Itsuka pouted. "It's not like you almost broke my nose or anything." she sniffed lightly and winched.
Izuku's face twisted in guilt. "Nejire and I went out yesterday and... well a lot of good stuff happened after words." he blushed, looking down not noticing the heart broken expression on Itsuka's face.
You, you had sex with her? Already." she whispered and Izuku's face exploded into a bright red mess.
"What?! No!" he denied looking at orangette like she was insane and Itsuka breathed easier at his expression. "We made out for... a, a couple hours." he laughed with a lost, happy expression.
Itsuka's mood immediately soured after that and bit her lip, in slight depression and anger. "That could have been us." she mumbled and Izuku snapped his head over to the girl.
"What?" The ninth One For All user asked with surprise and Itsuka's face burned, realizing she said that outloud.
"Nothing! I said nothing! I have to go, you can let yourself out!" The teal eyed girl forced her body to move, climbing up the stairs where she and her father lived.
Izuku looked at the empty spot beside him. "Di..did she?" Izuku shook his head. "No… no! I must have misheard her!" he nodded in reassurance but he soon stopped as he thought back on years of shared memories. "Oh Kami, I'm in trouble." he whispered to himself as his eyes darted to the staircase.
"Ehhhh, I have to talk to her." Izuku whimpered to himself and walked up the stairs. He silently moved towards his friend's room and lightly knocked.
"Go away please!" Itsuka exclaimed and Izuku shook his head. "I can tell you shook your head Izuku-Kun but I don't want to talk, so please leave!" Izuku bit his lip and took a breath, after a moment he opened the door.
He immediately caught a pillow thrown at his face. "Leave!" she screamed at the boy as she laid in bed and Izuku shook his head.
"No. You're my best friend and you're hurting." Itsuka felt tears run down her red face.
"I'm fine." She wiped away the salty water from her eyes and Izuku gave her a look, causing the teal eyed girl to groan.
"I'm hurting because of you!" She pointed at the teen and Izuku winced. "I've had a crush on you since I've known you! I waited and waited because I 'knew' we couldn't work while you trained for U.A but when you got accepted my heart soared!" she collapsed onto her bed. "Not only because you and I were a step closer to our dreams but I could finally tell you how I feel and, and the moment I was about to confess that 'Bitch' Nejire kissed you!" The young Martial Artist screamed, throwing her hands up in heartbreak.
"And, and now I'm stuck watching on the sidelines while you and Nejire get your happily ever after." Izuku felt like the biggest monster on the planet as Itsuka cried in her arms. He didn't know how to help.. so he decided to be honest.
"I wouldn't have said yes." Izuku told the girl who looked at the boy in surprise and hurt. "Not because I didn't like you!" he tried softening the blow. " But because I did, do! I, I do like you! I had, have, a crush on you but you're my best friend and I... wouldn't risk that for anything." He admitted, looking towards his feet while the orangette felt a new wave of tears come down.
"I'm not sure if you realize this or not but I didn't have a good school life. A good life in general. Mirio and Tamaki were my first friends in a long time but despite how much I love them and they love me, those two have a bond that can never be shared. But you, you were my first friend who was a girl. The first girl to ever smile at me, the first to ever laugh with me, you're the best thing to ever, 'ever' happen to me! So if you had asked me out, despite what I felt for you... I would have said no." The greenette looked up from the ground and saw the shorter girl standing in front of him.
He felt her small, thin lips lightly touch his own and Izuku immediately pulled away. "Itsuka.." the orangette sighed, wiping away her tears filled face.
"I'm sorry but I needed to do that just once." She rubbed her pale arm. "I, I wanted you to be my first but I promise, I will never kiss you again." Izuku felt the resolve through her eyes. "From this day forward you're just my friend and that's all you'll ever be." Izuku nodded and hugged the girl who returned the gesture tightly.
...
Izuku waited with his mother for her date. She was wearing a dark purple dress with a yellow cardigan and had a light sheen sweat that told him how nervous she truly was despite her smile.
"KNOCK, KNOCK!" Inko leaped onto her feet and with an almost robotic walk headed towards the door. She opened it and almost instantaneously her nervousness evaporated and a warm smile stretched across her face.
"Hello, Hikitsuga-San." a deep voice greeted the woman and entered Izuku's ears.
'I, I know that voice.' The freckled teen thought to himself in surprise as Inko stepped aside and let her date in.
He was tall, blonde, and thin wearing a yellow pinstripe suit. "Toshinori-Sensei!" Izuku exclaimed in surprise, causing the blonde to jump and turn in surprise.
"Izuku-Shounen! What are you doing here?!" The emaciated retired Hero asked and Izuku stood.
"I live here! What are you doing here?!" Toshinori opened his mouth but it clamped down at a sudden cough. The tanned man turned to see a confused frown on Inko's face.
"How do you two know each other?" She asked with suspicion, especially with how they used each other's first names.
"Um, um, um?" Izuku blanked but luckily, like always, Toshinori saved the day.
"I'm his tutor." The blue eyed eighth All For User stated and the green haired duo looked at the blonde in surprise. "Yes, I'm sure I've already told you but I'm a licensed Quirk trainer and a few months ago, young Izuku-Shounen contacted Might Tower in hopes of getting into contact with me which he did. Once he described his troubles at controlling his new and dangerous Quirk. I Looked over his records and decided he had too much potential to waste, so I agreed to help him." Inko looked heartbroken at the explanation and stared at her son who looked towards the ground.
"You, you said everything was fine. That you were having no trouble controlling your Quirk at all?" Izuku bit his lip and looked at the blonde who shrugged his shoulders.
"I'm sorry mom, I just didn't want to worry you but I'm fine now! Thanks to Toshinori-Sensei, whatever problems I may have had are under control." The fair skinned teen smiled at the woman who sighed.
"That's, that's not the point, Izuku! I'm your mom and I have a right to know if you're having problems, if you need help!" The plump greenette told her son with a hard glare and a disappointed frown, which would have made Izuku feel guilty if this situation actually happened.
Maybe he should feel guilty anyway. The actual situation was much worse.
In the end Izuku nodded, like he agreed with what she was saying. "You'll, you'll come to me next time, right?" Inko asked and Izuku said nothing as he nodded.
"So... why do you two have different last names?" Toshinori asked, trying to break the thick tension in the air.
"Oh! Well, after my ex husband and I divorced, I had decided to change my last name back but Izuku wanted to keep his because in his words, 'It sounds better.' " Inko rolled her eyes while Izuku nodded.
"It does." Toshinori laughed and both Izuku and inko chuckled along with him.
...
"Welcome back, class!" a pale balding, blonde man stood in front of his class with a large smile on his face. "I want to congratulate all of you on a job well done but especially two students in particular." Izuku sighed knowing where this was heading and prepared himself to run.
"Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku have both been accepted in U.A's Hero course!" He revealed the news and the class exploded into chaos.
"What?!" "How the fuck did that Qurikless nothing get In and I didn't!" "He must have cheated!" "There is no way he could have gotten in by himself." Izuku rolled out of his desk as Katsuki jumped from his seat and exploded the furniture.
"Deku!" Izuku was forced to run out of the classroom as Katsuki chased him in fury. "Get back here and explain yourself!" he screamed.
"You were doing so good, Kacchan!"
'I hope you shit blood for a week, you fucking evolutionary hiccup!' the teacher continued to smile as he wrote down today's lesson plan. 'Taking the spot of a Quriked individual, what the fuck is wrong with that nuisance.'
...
"No." Toshinori said as he looked over the boy's sketch for his hero costume and looked away from the boy's devastating face.
"But, but..." Izuku tried to reason with the man but the blonde simply raised his hand.
"Izuku-Shounen, you are trying too hard to emulate me. The mask that looks like a smile, the cowl that looks like my hairstyle. If you want to take a few cues from my costume, fine but at the moment you're basically a green All Might." Izuku hung his head.
"That's what Mirio, Tamaki, Nejire, Itsuka, and mom said." Izuku said with a sad low tone, not noticing the wide eyes of his mentor.
"Dear Kami, my boy! They all said that and you still tried to pass it off to me!" Toshinori shook his head at his successors fanboyness.
"Listen to your friends and come up with a new design by the weekend, i'll send it to David and he can whip you up a costume that will be able to withstand One For All." he told the greenette who nodded and then giggled with excitement.
"I still can't believe my costume is being made by David Shield! The greatest support item inventor and Quirk scientist in all the world!" Izuku squealed and Toshinori laughed at his awed face.
...
Tamaki felt a smile split across his face as all his closest friends cheered as he blew out his birthday candles. "Happy Birthday Amajiki Tamaki!" he friends exclaimed.
"Now, let's eat some cake!" Nejire exclaimed as she held onto Izuku's arm.
...
Izuku felt sweat pour off his body and cursed at how sore he was. "Come on Izuku-Shounen!" Toshinori cheered from the ground as the greenette destroyed several buildings at twelve percent of One For All.
"I still can't believe how much of a difference just two percent makes." Izuku muttered as he stood on top of the rumble, after a moment he felt a large land on his shoulder and looked up at his mentor and father figure.
"Are you ready for Tomorrow, my boy? You must be shaking with excitement!" Izuku smiled and nodded.
"I am!" The freckled teen confirmed and took the emaciated man's hand, standing up. The greenette tried dusting off the concrete remains from his pants but Toshinori still held his hand in a tight grip, causing Izuku's face to twist into a confused frown.
"Great! Now I know you want to make a good first impression, so how about a haircut!" Toshinori reached behind his back for a pair of scissors, a comb.
Izuku's face twisted in horror and panic.
"No! My hair is my most attractive feature!" The bushy haired greenette took a step back but Toshinori held a tight grip on his wrist. "Don..don't do this, master!" Izuku begged but the seven foot and two inch man simply shook his head.
"You'll thank me one day." Toshinori said to the boy, whose emerald orbs widened as the blonde slowly inflated.
"Please." Izuku whimpered a final time but it was ignored.
...
Izuku pouted at his mother who wiped a stray tear from her eye. "I don't know how you did it Toshi bu..but thank you." Inko hugged the sickly thin blonde. "I've tried for years to convince him to cut that, literally mop of hair and now my little boy looks like a man." The youngest greenette closed his eyes at the clear insult but ignored it, as the three of them ate breakfast together.
Izuku's hair was cleanly shaven at the sides and back, leaving only stubble. The top was much shorter than the day before, leaving only a fluff of hair that was styled to the side and barely touched the middle of his forehead.
The freckled teen wore a tight white dress shirt and a red tie that Toshinori helped him tie, after he came out with it only an inch long, and thicker than his arm. He wore a gray blazer that had two green stripes on the lower part of his collar and on his wrists with form fitting, green dress slacks, that his shirt was tucked into.
The ninth One For All users even wore dark brown dress shoes instead of his red sneakers he loved. "Did my uniform have to be so form fitting?" Izuku asked, as he tried to make a little more breathing room for his neck.
"Yes. I know you like wearing baggy clothes but trust me, people will judge you for just about anything, everything really. So best try and not give them more ammunition then they need." Izuku sighed but nodded at his mentor's advice, while his mother hugged the blonde again.
As Izuku finished, he got up and sat his empty plate in the sink. The freckled teen kissed his mom on the cheek and patted the blue eyed man on the back in goodbye. "See you guys later." He grabbed his yellow backpack that sat on the couch and walked towards the door.
"Hey Izuku." The greenette turned towards the couple; Inko was laying her head on Toshinori's chest and the man held her hands. "You look really cool." Inko spoke proudly and the blonde nodded in agreement, causing Izuku to blush.
"Thanks! See you guys tomorrow!" The fifteen year old exclaimed and walked out the door, leaving the couple alone.
"I don't think he noticed the extra stuff." Inko stated with a slight pout and Toshinori shook his head with a laugh.
"Nope. That boy has his head so far up the cloud at the moment, I'll be surprised if he even notices the engagement ring until we point it out to him." he kissed the woman who hummed into his lips before lightly pushing the man away.
"Do you think we're moving too fast?" Toshinori thought about it for a moment. "I mean we only started dating a little less than four months ago."
After a moment the emaciated retired Hero shook his head. "Nah." he deeply kissed the woman he loved again who eagerly returned the gesture.
...
"Zuzu!" Nejire ran towards the greenette and hugged him while Mirio and Tamaki patted his back in greeting. "I love the haircut, it makes you look incredibly sexy!" The periwinkle haired girl exclaimed and kissed the boy who returned the gesture.
"Yeah man you look powerful!" Mirio elbowed the greenette. "I'm going to be honest, the mop you had was getting out of hand. You really were starting to look like broccoli." Tamaki nodded in agreement.
"Hey guys, wait up!" Itsuka screamed and the four of them turned and smiled in greeting at the orangette who blushed slightly at the taller teen before gaining control of herself. "You look good, Izuku-Kun." The freckled teen blushed slightly.
"Thanks." Izuku smiled at his friend but turned towards the bluenette who squeezed his arm slightly, as they made eye contact, he simply raised an eyebrow and Nejire pouted at her boyfriend.
"Thank you too Nene... and, and, " he leaned down towards her ear and steeled his resolve. "You look sexy too." he whispered and the older teen blushed with a happy expression as Izuku's face became as hot as fire.
"So..." Itsuka coughed at the exchange. "Ready?" The four nodded and the group walked through the gate of U.A and through its halls.
After quickly dropping off Itsuka at her class the three third years left Izuku in front of 1-A. "See you at lunch Zuzu." Nejire leaned in and peaked at the boy who immediately deepened the kiss, surprising the girl for a moment.
"See you, Nene.'' Izuku separated from the fair skinned third year with a light smile and opened the classroom door. "See you Mirio-Kun, Tamaki-Kun." The greenette entered the room and closed the door behind him.
"You're really rubbing off on him, Nejire-Chan." Mirio commented and patted the periwinkle haired teen on the shoulder, who simply smiled with a light laugh and skipped away.
...
" "It's you!" " a five foot and ten inch teen with navy blue hair and square glasses that hid orangish red eyes and a familiar brunette called out.
The action surprised the greenette and gaining the attention of several of their classmates, especially a ravenette girl that had her hair pulled into a fan-like ponytail and a stoic boy with evenly split colored hair; white on the right side and red on the left with a burn scar laid ontop of his left eye.
"Midoriya-Kun! I knew you would make it in!" Ochako exclaimed with a smile and hugged the freckled teen while the taller teen introduced himself.
"Hello, I'm Ida Tenya! It is an honor to meet a Hero-in-training such as yourself. I saw several of your takedowns and how you saved several participants who chewed off more than they could chew," Tenya bowed at a perfect ninety degree angle. "Including myself. Thank you, Midoriya-San!" Izuku took a step back in surprise at how serious the taller teen was but soon smiled.
"No problem, Ida-San. I did what any Hero-in-training would do." The greenette patted the taller boy on the back. "I'm sure if our situations were reversed, you would have done the same thing." The freckled teen told the navy bluenette who looked conflicted but nodded.
Izuku was about to continue but was interrupted. "If you're here to talk and make idle chit chat, then leave." Eraserhead or otherwise known as Aizawa Shota stated. The three teens immediately went silent along with the rest of the class they all looked at the long haired man with a five o'clock shadow and a black jumpsuit with dull yellow goggles.
"You have a minute to change into your gym wear located in your designated briefcase," He pointed towards the several rows that were stationed in the corner of the class, near the blackboard. "and meet me in P.E grounds." he left the classroom as he grabbed a apply jelly pouch off his desk and headed out of the room. "Anyone not there on time is expelled." Shota closed the door behind him
After a moment of stunned silence where everyone looked at each other in shock, Izuku channeled One For All and ran towards the number one briefcase and jumped out of the classroom window, shattering it.
"FUCK!" Katsuki exploded out of his desk towards the rows of briefcases and grabbed the number two briefcase before exploding out the window, following the greenette as the rest of the class scrambled out of their seats, not wanting to be left behind.
...
The twenty students of class 1-A stood in front of their teacher. "I can't believe we jumped out a window." a pink haired and skinned student with two small, yellowish hook-like horns sticking out of her fluffy hair, muttered to herself.
"Hate to admit it but it was a good choice. I doubt anyone without a physical Quirk could change and make it to the P.E grounds without taking a shortcut." Shota drank the last of his jelly juice as he walked up to the group of students who beat him to the grounds.
"So, so you weren't serious about us being expelled!" A three foot and six inch boy exclaimed with purple balls sticking out of his head.
"No. I was deadly serious... in a way. I wanted you guys to get here as fast as you possibly could because as a Hero, every second counts." Class 1-A homeroom teacher explained in a dull tone. "Now if you wore a minute of so late, that's fine. Still acceptable but let's say you took a whole five minutes to get change and get here, I would have expelled you." The class gulped at his frank and unforgiving tone.
"Now, let's get to business, we will be doing a Quirk apprehension test." The ravenette stated and most of the class eyes widened in excitement. "We will do eight fitness tests, where you will be expected to push your Quirks in creative and/or interesting ways." the pink haired girl squealed in excitement.
"That sounds so fun!" She exclaimed and a red haired boy with matching eyes, who styled his hair up and away from his head, nodded in agreement.
"You think this is fun." Shota asked with a hard tone and glare, that made both teens flinch. "You have three years to make yourselves into proper Pro Heros, you do not have time for fun." The class as a whole wilted at how hard his tone was. "So... let's make this interesting, whoever comes in last is expelled." Most of the class gritted their teeth and glared at the pinkette who seemed to shrink in on herself.
"But that's... " Ochako was about to argue but lost her nerve as their teacher glared at her.
"If you were about to tell me my decision is unfair you better start packing." Ochako shook her head quickly. "Good, because life is unfair. Natural disaster, Villian attacks, murder, rape. Now that's unfair and if you want to be a Pro, you better get fucking use to it." The coal eyed man stated before turning towards Izuku.
"Midoriya-San!" The greenette stood at attention. "You got first place in the practical exam," Izuku's eyes widened in surprise along with half the class while the ash blonde felt his anger boil in the pit of his stomach, which doubled when he remembered the emerald lighting that surrounded the boy before he jumped out the window. "You go first." The freckled teen nodded.
"Step into the circle." Shota pointed towards the white tapped ground which Izuku quickly entered. "How far can you throw a softball?" Izuku thought about it for a moment.
"Well um, two hundred and twenty feet, I think?" The fair skinned greenette stated, with a frown. "Honestly, I don't remember." The teacher nodded and tossed a ball towards the teen, taking out a distance measuring device.
"Shatter it." Izuku nodded, after a second his skin began to glow and the veins in his body burned red, sparks of electricity surrounded his body.
"He looks like the protagonist of an anime." Denki whispered to Kyoka who laughed and nodded in agreement.
"Hey, you better be careful though. it looks like he's stealing your theme." The punk rocker told the blonde who gasped at the realization.
"BOOM!" The entire class felt some wind hit their face, Izuku created a sonic boom throwing the softball. Shota nodded and showed the class his numbers.
[three thousand, nine hundred and sixty four feet.]
"Whoa!" The entire class mouth dropped at the number.
"That's amazing!" "Super manly!" "He's a fucking monster!" Izuku held onto the broken tip of his finger where he channeled one hundred percent of One For All. 'Well he said we needed to find creative ways to push our Quirks!' he thought as he stepped off to the side, shaking slightly as he pushed himself to his new upper limit of fifteen percent.
"Dude!" Izuku felt somebody slam onto him, as he looked, he saw Denki. "That. Was. Amazing!" he exclaimed with awe dripping from his tone, making Izuku blush.
"Thanks." The greenette mumbled, rubbing his head. "I didn't notice you earlier, it's great to see you again Kaminari-San." he shot out his good hand for the blonde to shake which he did.
"Same to you." The blonde smiled brightly at the greenette. "So honest question, what's with the lightning?" Izuku brightened at the question.
"Well my Quirk stockpiles energy from intense movements like exercise, which is basically kinetic energy. So what you just saw wasn't actually electricity but kinetic power. My friends tell me, they feel a little more lively after they touch it but that's it." Denki nodded and sighed, wiping his forehead in relief.
"Thank Kami! There only needs to be one lightning boy in this household." Izuku looked confused but chuckled at the blonde's goofy smile.
"So your Quirk has something to do with electricity?" The greenette asked with curiosity and the blonde nodded while Kyoka sighed.
"Yep! It's called Electrification. I can discharge electricity out of any part of my body." Izuku nodded with an impressed smile.
"But he can't control it at all and if he goes past his limit, he fries his brain making him stupid as a doornail." Kyoka added on and Denki pouted at the girl, while Izuku looked confused.
"What's your limit?" Izuku asked, biting his lip in interest.
"One million, three hundred volts." Denki smiled as he said the large number which turned into a grin, as Izuku choked on air.
"Don't be too impressed, it will go straight to his head." The gold eyed teen nodded in agreement.
"It will." Izuku looked up and down the blonde with a frown on his face.
"How do you use your Quirk? '' Izuku asked with an interested tone and the duo looked at the greenette in confusion, as his forehead creased and his emerald eyes began to glow.
"W..well, uh, I usually use it like an aura, so when people touch me they pass out and I can create also a big blast of electricity but like Jirou-Chan said... I lose most of my brain functions." Izuku's eyes glowed brighter and both teens took a step back.
"How do you normally charge your electricity? Does it gather towards whatever bodypart you're focusing on or do you guide it from within?" Denki took a moment to think about it.
"From within, definitely!" The fair skinned blonde answered and Izuku's eyes seemed to brighten further. "But I wouldn't say I guide it, it's like, when I use my Quirk on certain body parts the power just comes out." Izuku hummed with great interest and Denki smiled, most people just say how cool his Quirk was and leave it at that, maybe make a joke or two when they find out his limits.
"Hmm, you have trouble focusing don't you? Can't sit still even if you're focusing your entire body into it, have a million thoughts fly through your brain?" The golden eyed teen felt shock run through him at how accurate the greenette question was with his attention span. "You probably were diagnosed with ADHD haven't you?" Denki nodded in confirmation with widened.
"Hmm," Izuku hummed with what the duo was sure was hidden wisdom. "Your Quirk is most likely a generator type, it doesn't gather energy like mine but naturally makes it, it is part of the body's normal day to day function, it never really turns off except when you discharge everything, what your experience isn't an overload but a breakdown. You can't function unless a high amount of electricity is running through your body." Both Kyoka and Denki looked at one each other in shock, it made sense.
"And the reason why you can't control the direction of your electricity is because you're summoning it where you want to discharge it, there's no…" Izuku struggled to find the right word. "Guide!" He exclaimed, ignoring the startled looks he received from his surrounding classmates. "Instead of simply discharging electricity from the outside of your limbs, discharge from the inside, through your fingers or arms. That should allow you to increase your overall control."Denki narrowed his eyes and looked at his arms, in thought.
"Kaminari Denki. Your turn." The blonde lost focus as the teacher called him and decided better to try it out now.
"Thanks for the advice, Midoriya-Kun!" The blonde ran towards their teacher and Kyoka stepped forward looking at the freckled teen and simply stared, making Izuku uncomfortable.
"You just helped my best friend with a problem that has been plaguing him his entire life in a," She took out her phone and looked at the time. "five minute conversation."
"I really like Quirks." Izuku simply said and the purple haired girl shook her head and smirked at the boy.
"Thank you for helping him, maybe you can help me with my Quirk sometime?" Kyoka asked and Izuku nodded enthusiastically with a bright smile.
"I would love, too!" The greenette exclaimed. "I just find Quirks so interesting, you know." Kyoka shook her head.
"Nope, sorry but all the power to you, man." The punk rocker punched his arm and shook her hand in pain. "What are you made of? Iron!" Izuku looked away in embarrassment.
The freckled teen saw the ball Denki held in the palm of his hand and shot hundreds of feet away from him by a strike of yellow electricity-like lightning, coming out of his hand.
Denki's face broke into a grin, without even looking at his score, he ran towards his friends and threw himself into the greenette's arms."Wow you guys seem really close! How long have you known each other?" Izuku turned to the voice to answer but was left flabbergasted at the mass of bright changing colors, each more beautiful and amazing than the last.
The mass of colors was compressed into the form of Hagakure Toru, a five foot girl with neck length, messy hair, a somewhat angular face, thick eyelashes, a cute button nose, and round expressive eyes.
Honestly the girl in front of him was drop dead gorgeous, someone Izuku was sure could become a supermodel in the future and most likely will have a cult-like following once she became a Pro-Hero.
Fuck, it might happen once she shown in the sports festival. "Wha..." Izuku felt his entire face caught on fire and he began to hyperventilate.
He covered his freckled face with his arms and crouched down. "IhavealovinggirlfriendIhavealovingirlfriendIhavealovinggirlfriend." The greenette mumbled to himself, picturing Nejire in his mind with her cute smile, that sometimes became so damn sexy he was sure he was about to have a heart attack.
"Wow." Kyoka muttered as she looked at the boy breaking down and then at the invisible girl that tried talking to them.
"Oh my Kami, what happened?!" the bubbly voice asked in concern, crouching down to help the greenette who squealed as she touched him.
"Hey Midoriya-San, your Quirk doesn't just increase your strength does it? It increases everything. Like you speed and your senses."Izuku nodded and tried to keep his blush down and looked up, only to see the angel staring right at him and went back covering his burning face, repeating his mantra that Kyoka could clearly hear.
"Wait are you say..." the invisible girl looked at the purplette and then at the greenette. "Hey mumbling dude! What do I look like?!" Toru asked with an excited tone and grabbed his shoulders and his face began burning as hot as the sun.
His actions started gaining some attention but lucky for them they were in the back of the group. "Please, you have to snap out of it!" she begged the boy, shaking him violently. "I've been invisible since I was four! I need to know what I look like!" Izuku hearing her voice break and bright tears fall down her angel-like face, he took a deep breath and slapped his face as hard as he could, surprising everyone watching.
"Your.. you, invisible… makes sense." The freckled teen stated as he pulled One For All away from his brain and the angel teen disappeared, leaving only floating clothes behind. "Um, um you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. 'Ever'."
"I'm pretty sure that you could walk up to any modeling agency and they would hire you on the spot, no questions asked." The invisible girl seemed surprised and her sleeves moved up slightly, as her shirt twisted side-to-side, in what Izuku thought was embarrassment.
The fair skinned greenette stared at the mass of clothes and something clicked. "Wait... your Quirk can't be invisibility." Izuki stated, she froze in place. "If it was, then light would be passing through you and even with my enhanced vision, I still wouldn't be able to see you."
"Okay, onto the next test!" Shota stated. "We will be doing a fifty meter dash; Midoriya and Ida, please come forward." Izuku nodded and turned towards the invisible girl, looking at her where he knew her eyes were.
"I would very much like to continue this conversation after I'm finished." The ninth One For All user told the short haired girl that no one could see.
"Yes please!" Toru immediately agreed and Izuku nodded with a smile.
As the muscular Midoriya stood beside the tall, teen with exhaust pipes sticking out his legs, he channeled twelve percent of One For All and decided to continue pushing past his limits, increasing the power to fifteen percent, where he felt his bones shake. "Ugh." he grunted in discomfort as he bent his knees and prepared to race.
Shota looked at the two students, "When I say go, well you should know what to do." he deadpanned at the duo. "Go." Izuku disappeared with Ida far behind him.
[One point fifteen seconds.] A robotic voice called out his score but Izuku didn't stop and appeared in the back of the group. two seconds later he heard. [Three point zero four seconds.] 'That's pretty fast, expected with his Quirk.'
"Okay, so I've been thinking about it and I have a few questions?" Izuku tried focusing on the angel's forehead as he continued to channel his power through his brain, ignoring the startled looks his companions gave him. "Do you ever feel abnormally hot?" the girl shook her head. "I don't mean like sweating but like you're just a few degrees warmer then you know you should be?" The constantly changing color girl bit her finger in thought.
"Yeah, I guess? Sometimes, during winter I don't really feel the need to wear sweaters despite my parents telling me I should be freezing." Toru answered the glowing eyed teen.
"Do you ever feel warmer on the inside? It may not be noticeable all the time but whenever it's just you and you've been studying for hours on end, you close your eyes for a moment and for the briefest of seconds you feel a spark, a light inside you?" The invisible girl took longer to answer that one, lightly tapping on her chin in thought.
"Nope. Honestly, I've not felt anything you're describing." She bluntly told the greenette who hummed.
"Well there goes that theory." Izuku muttered to himself. "Okay... sorry what's your name?" the three teens laughed at his embarrassed expression.
"It's Hagakure Toru." She bowed to the boy and Izuku blushed at her grin.
"Midoriya Izuku." The freckled teen bowed in return. "Now I think your Quirk let's your skin somehow reflect light back, turning you invisible as a side effect. It's the only realistic way I would be able to see you but the question is, can you turn it off?" he explained to the girl who seemed to visibly vibrate her body. "Now your invisibility could have been a mutation quirk where your skin simply reflects but then you wouldn't feel warm. What most likely is happening is your skin cells are absorbing the light and then reflecting it back and anything that can be absorbed, can also be released or turned off." Izuku droned his hypothesis. "Do you mind if I try something?" The emerald eyed boy asked with curiosity.
Toru nodded enthusiastically. "After calling me the most beautiful girl you've ever seen I'll do whatever you say but record it for me." The angel asked.
Izuku nodded, taking out his phone and gave it to Denki who began recording, he then took the glowing girl's hand and pressed his pointer finger to her own. "Focus on where I'm touching you, don't think about anything else but the end of your finger." he instructed. "Focus on the warmth you usually ignore, the heat you feel even when the sun is nowhere in sight."
After a minute Izuku started to feel his hopes dash when. "I feel it." Izuku grinned in excitement and lightly rocked on his heels.
"Okay, I want you to slowly push the heat out, focus on it leaving you, escaping your body like sweat." After another minute the three teens saw the point of her finger glow brightly and then become visible.
"Hagakure Toru and Ashido Mina, it's your turns!'' The girl lost her concentration at her name being yelled out but when she opened her eyes she saw three grinning teens and her heart stopped.
"No~." Izuku nodded as he showed her his phone and fast forward, where her finger started to become visible. "Yes!" She exclaimed with pure and utter joy dripping off her voice, bringing the entire class attention onto herself and unnoticed by all but one, she felt her face heat up in embarrassment.
"Kami, that's hot." Izuku muttered and felt his ribs being harshly poked, he turned towards the offender which was Kyoka who seemed to try and glare at him but couldn't keep the smile off her face.
"You helped two people make major breakthroughs with their Quirks today in less than twenty minutes." Izuku rubbed his head.
"I, I have a lot of free time." The greenette admitted. "Which I use researching Quirks and Heroes and biology and science in general, and a few Quirk theories and... I'm just a big nerd." The freckled teen hung his head in embarrassment and Kyoka laughed along with Denki.
"Okay, I'm back!" The three of them jumped in surprise. "Ha! I love doing that sometimes!" She laughed and took Izuku into a hug, surprising the One For All user.
"Thank you Izuku-Kun. No matter how many Quirk specialists I went to, they all said I would never be able to turn off my Quirk but now... now well I still can't but there's hope and you've given me that... so thank you." Izuku felt himself grin as he wrapped his arms around the girl to reciprocate the hug.
"Yeah dude. I know we haven't known each other for that long but I'm pretty sure you've changed my life. So thanks." the blonde patted the freckled boy on the shoulder with a warm smile.
"Wow this... is really mushy." Izuku laughed at Kyoka's statement and he separated from the invisible girl.
"This is nice. I can't believe I made four friends on the first day of school." He stated, with an awed grin.
"Sooo honest question. Why did you activate your Quirk, when you were asking us questions?" Denki asked with a tilt of his head.
"Oh, well like Jirou-San said, my Quirk allows me to enhance every part of my body, including my senses but also my brain in general. So my cognitive thinking increases," at the confused look Denki threw at him, he simplified his words.
"Basically I can think faster. So what felt like five seconds to you guys was more like five minutes to me." Denki's eyes widened. "I wanted more time to think up solutions." he smiled brightly at the three teens.
"Next test is grip strength. Follow me into the gym." Shota walked towards the building and twenty students followed the jumpsuit wearing Hero.
As they did, the group saw work stations where hand held devices sat, which the students recognized from middle school. "Don't be shy, pick one up. After you're done, show me your score." Izuku and Co separated, the greenette grabbed the grip strength reader with his good hand.
Midoriya channeled One For All towards his left arm at his upper limit of fifteen percent, where he felt a strong, painful pressure. [One thousand, two hundred pounds.] He walked up to his teacher and showed him results.
"You okay? your arm seems to be shaking." The hobo looking man asked, Izuku saw his left arm twitching. "And your finger looks broken." Shota looked towards his other right hand, he saw that his index finger was red and slightly crooked.
"It's fine, Sensei." Izuku reassured the older man. "I know my limit and I'm still ready to go." The greenette bowed to the teacher who simply nodded and waved him off.
As the teen went back to his station, he felt a grip on his shoulder and saw Tenya behind him. "I must say Midoriya-San, you've really blown us all out in the water. I didn't think I would find anyone as fast or faster than me but here you are. It really goes to show you that no matter how skilled you think you are, there is always someone better." Izuku nodded along with the navy blue haired teen.
"I kinda agree but just because there is someone better than you shouldn't mean you should stop giving your all. I mean look at All Might, sure he's the greatest Hero at the moment but can you imagine when he was a teenager who hadn't fully mastered or pushed his Quirk. Imagine if he saw someone stronger than him and decided, 'I'm not going to try anymore, how can I ever compete with that.' We might not have the peaceful society we live in today if he did that." Tenya put a thoughtful look on his square face.
"You're right of course but to be honest, I can't imagine All Might not ever being the best, the strongest." Izuku nodded along and laughed.
"Yeah but everyone has to start somewhere." Tenya nodded in agreement with a smile.
"Time for the fourth test; the standing long jump." The underground hero stated to the class who followed him back outside.
After a moment they stood in front of a large sandbox. "Midoriya-San, you start." Izuku nodded. He looked at the distance and realized that he didn't have to push his limits to perform well on the test.
Even at eight percent, maybe even lower, Izuku could clear the entire sandbox and then some.
Which is exactly what he did.
As he walked towards the group, he looked for his new friends. "You're performing amazingly. Of course maybe that was a given considering how you performed on the entrance exam." A raven haired beauty who was an inch taller than him, standing at five feet and eight inches, commented.
Izuku scratched his freckled cheek. "Eh, I'm just giving it my all, like we're all doing." He waved off her compliment. "And anyway, that test seemed to be designed for people with physical enhancing Quirks. You really should be impressed with someone like... Hagakure-San," he pointed to the invisible girl. "Or him." He pointed towards the small, purple ball haired teen.
"Anyone can punch or kick a robot but you gotta wonder how they did it." The curvy girl looked in thought. "It must have been pretty impressive and creative." He added.
"I suppose." The ravenette nodded. "I'm Yaoyorozu Momo.'' She introduced herself, bringing up her hand in greeting.
"Midoriya Izuku." The boy grasped her soft hand and shaked it with a smile which she returned but quickly dropped as she saw his damaged finger.
"Oh my Kami, are you okay?" Momo asked with concern and Izuku waved her off with a slight laugh.
"Yeah, I can barely feel it... I, I pushed myself a little too hard on the first test, trying to make a good impression... I'm just lucky I have such a high pain tolerance." Momo looked in concern at how easily the greenette waved off his injury.
"Here, let me at least rap it for you." The fair skinned girl's palm glowed a sparkle of pink and blue that forced out a roll of bandages from the body part. She carefully took it and wrapped his broken finger. "And there." Izuku chuckled at her serious, focused expression.
"Thanks. You have a really cool Quirk... if it isn't too much trouble, can you tell me about it?" The freckled teen asked with an embarrassed blush.
Momo gave a small nod. "It's called Creation, I can use the fat that my body stores to create non-living objects that I know the atomic structures of." Izuku's eyes widened in awe.
"That's such an amazing Quirk! The sheer amount of possibilities that brings in any situation is... astounding." Izuku grinned at the taller coal eyed girl, who blushed at the praise. "The sheer amount of work you must put in to even..." his emerald eyes widened, as he remembered the first activity. "You made a cannon for the ball toss!" Izuku couldn't keep the sheer amazement out of his voice and Momo's face grew hotter.
"Well... um, I heard you explaining your Quick to your friends and you must put in a lot more hours than I do to be as powerful as you are." Izuku blushed but shook his head. "You literally created a sonic boom after throwing the softball, and ran fifty meters in a little over a second. That's something you would hear a top ten Pro Hero being able to do." Izuku covered his tomato colored face, hearing the respect in her tone.
"Stop. I'm going to pass out from all the blood to my face." Izuku told Momo, who giggled in response.
"Well you started it." Izuku chuckled and nodded in agreement. "What's your Quirk called anyway?" she questioned and Izuku visibly brightened.
"SUPERPOWER." Momo raised an eyebrow at the weird name.
"That's...".Izuku face dropped into his hands and he felt like crying.
"You don't like it either. Is it really that bad? I spent... okay, I didn't spend a lot of time on the name bu...but it doesn't even sound a little bit cool, just a smidge?" Izuku pitched his point and thumb together, leaving only a little bit of space in between.
Momo bit her lip and looked away from Izuku's bright and hopeful eyes which darkened, his spirit crushed. "Oh." He looked towards the ground.
"I like it, Bro." Denki came up from behind the duo, hearing the tail end of the conversation and put his arm around the greenette's shoulder.
"Really?" Izuku asked with a hope filled voice and the blonde simply nodded. "Thank you." Kyoka shook her head at the two.
"I'm going to have to deal with two idiots now, don't I?" The punk rocker sarcastically questioned and walked up to the ravenette.
"Jirou Kyoka." She introduced herself with a raised hand.
"Yaoyorozu Momo." The taller teen grasped the purplette's hand in greeting.
"Kaminari Denki." The golden eyed boy waved at the ravenette with what he thought was a flirty smile, only to get stabbed in the ribs by Kyoka earlobes. "Ow!" he winced in pain.
"Next test is repeating side steps." Shota pointed between three white lines. "Midoriya-San, you're up again." Izuku jogged over to the middle white line and channeled fifteen percent of One for All, crouching slightly. "Go." the greenette moved like a blur between the first and third lines.
After thirty seconds, Shota called it. "Stop." Izuku stilled and breathed through his nose in pain as he slightly limped towards his friends who looked in concern at his shaking body.
"You okay?" Kyoka asked and Izuku simply nodded.
"Yeah, I've just been pushing past my limit and it's catching up to me." The greenette told her and by extension, the group.
"Dude, your... um..." Denki pointed towards Izuku's nose, which was dripping blood.
"Is, is that normal?" Momo asked with concern, as the freckled teen wiped it away.
"Yeah. My Quirk puts my body under a lot of strain, so whenever I go over my limit my muscles begin to tear, my bones are put under a lot of strain and my brain starts to um.. well... it's put under some pressure as well." Izuku admitted and Momo's eyes widened.
"Your brain is hemorrhaging!" She gasped and Kyoka's eyes widened in horror and Izuku winced as several of his classmates looked at the commountion.
Izuku waved his arms, "Slightly! slightly. As long as I don't overdo it, then it's fine. My doctor said so." Momo looked skeptical and Kyoka seemed hesitant to believe him but both nodded.
It didn't take long for the rest of the class to finish the side steps and move on.
The class then performed seated toe touch which the small, purple ball hair teen, Izuku, and the pink skinned girl tied for first place.
Then they moved onto sit ups which the greenette found difficult at first, as all his injuries started catching up to him but after a few seconds, he decided to submerge himself in his power and blackout during the activity, until Ochako shaked him out of his trance.
It was finally time for the last Quirk Assessment which was a distance run. Every single cell in Izuku's body was screaming but this was the final hurdle so as Shota began the race, the greenette immediately and unceremoniously blacked out, letting his body do it's thing as he sat in his storm of lightning.
"Oof!" Izuku tripped over his feet and gasped as he felt the almost infinite well of power gone. "Wh..." He widely looked around himself in pure panic and locked eyes with his new Sensei glaring down at him, his long raven hair floating and his coal eyes glowing yellow.
"Wh..." Izuku tried to question the man but flinched as Denki gently touched his arm.
"Dude we've been trying to get your attention for a while now but... um, you couldn't seem to hear us." Izuku nodded after a moment and struggled to his feet before bowing to Shota who deactivated his Quirk.
"I'm sorry, Aizawa-Sensei. I guess I lost myself, I didn't mean to cause you any trouble." The ravenette teacher sighed and waved at him.
"It's fine, Midoriya-San. Stand with your class."The greenette nodded and limped slowly to his class.
"You okay,Midoriya-Kun?" Ochako asked with a tilt of a worry and Izuku nodded with a small smile.
"Yeah, just went a little too, Plus Ultra." The freckled teen stated, the brunette nodded with a light smile.
"Okay, let's get this over with." Shota started pulling out a remote from his pocket and pressed a button, revealing a hologram of the class standing.
Izuku grinned in pride seeing his name on top of the list.
"Oh, thank Kami." Toru muttered beside the greenette, seeing her name only second to last. "I thought for sure I was going to be last!" she exclaimed to the boy.
"NO! PLEASE, THIS ISN'T FAIR!" The small purple ball haired teen yelled, tears streaming down his face. "HOW I'M I SUPPOSE TO IMPRESS THE LADIES, IF I'M NOT A HERO!" The purplette wailed, falling to his knees in grief.
Shota rolled his eyes at the small statue teen. "Calm down Mineta-San, you show some promise so you're not expelled." The teen stopped crying and wiped the snot off his face. "You showed a lot of creativity with your Quirk and as long as your potential doesn't hit zero, you will be a student at a U.A highschool."
Mineta let out a sigh of pure and utter relief. "Now, everybody back to the classroom, except you Midoriya-San. head to Recovery Girl." Izuku winced but nodded and began to limp before stopping in confusion.
"Where is the nurse's office?" The fair skinned, freckled teen asked, causing the man to pinch his nose.
...
Izuku loosened his tie slightly and looked around the cafeteria for his older friends. "Zuzu!" Nejire waved him over and the greenette brightened.
"Zuzu?" Denki asked with a large smile as the greenette blushed slightly, he walked over to the table with the blonde as earphone jack purplette following them.
"Hey, Nene." Izuku leaned down and kissed the third year on her pink lips.
"Oh, shit." Denki muttered in surprise. "I... didn't..." Kyoka shrugged and sat down at the lunch table with her blonde friend.
"So did Aizawa-Sensei expel anyone?" Mirio asked and Izuku shook his head, surprising the three teens. "Really? Your class must be really impressive!" The cartoonish blonde exclaimed with a smile and the three freshmen smiled in pride.
"Yeah, you should have seen them! All of their Quirks are really impressive! like Kaminari-San's." The golden eyed blonde blushed for a moment and puffed up his chest, Kyoka rolled her eyes in response. "He can generate one point three million volts of electricity!" Nejire's eyes widened with awe and leaned towards the younger teen.
"Oh!oh! How does your body generate that much electricity? Do you absorb the electrons from the air around you? Or is it like Zuzu's stockpiling Quirk, except you take your body's natural bioelectricity instead? Maybe it's a combination of both, like where you take the electrons from the air and then store it for later use?" Denki leaned away from the beautiful girl with a wide-eyed expression.
I,I… have no idea?" Nejire pouted at the awnser while Kyoka laughed her ass off at the dumbfounded expression from the blonde with a black lightning mark across his hair.
"Are those earphone jacks at the end of your ears?" Nejire asked with her bright, curious expression returning and seeing her intense look, the purplette gulped slightly. "Can you plug them into anything? Do they increase your hearing? If you plug them into your phone, can you listen to music?" the bluenette touched her earlobes and the Kyoka blushed at the touch and tried to hold in a moan.
Izuku smiled at the exuberant girl remembering all the questions she asked her about his Quirk. "Kami, I love you." Izuku stated, stopping the periwinkle haired girl's tirade and her face exploded into a bright red blush.
After a moment of silence, the freckled teen realized what happened."I said that outloud, didn't I?" Izuku asked with closed eyes and a resigned expression.
"Yep!" Mirio exclaimed and put his hand out towards Tamaki, the elf eared teen laid two thousand and a hundred yen against it, glaring at the greenette.
