(The Spring Festival)

*April 5th, 1941*

*9:31pm*

*Downtown Wichita Kansas*

It was a very beautiful night as the Spring Festival's lights illuminated as Anya, Daisy, Catherine, and Katie were walking across the area in pure awestruck.

"This place is wonderful and it's quite lively as well so that's a good thing" Anya had spoken to her cousins as she was met with nods of agreement as the four ladies thought about what they could do during their time at the festival as they continued to walk.

"The fireworks start in an hour so we could kill time by playing the games that they got here plus they even got that game where you can throw the ball to make the clown fall under the water!" Catherine had suggested it to her cousins as her remarks made the girls smile and nod their heads in agreement.

"That sounds wonderful! Let's start with the clown game first, It seems to be pretty fun to participate in" Katie had spoken back to Catherine in full agreement as she and the other girls had quickly ran over to play Dunk Tank.

"Fools! I'm not sure that you people are the clowns here since you're letting emotions get the best of you! You'll never hit that target!" The Clown had spoken in a mocky tone of voice as this was being heard by Anya and her cousins who began to talk amongst themselves.

"I never played Dunk Tank before but I know that the person would talk quite awfully about people to make them lose focus but I usually keep my cool in times like this so I hope I can make him fall" Anya had spoken to her cousins as they nodded their heads in agreement.

"You're right, It's best to stay focused and not allow his words to get to us and that will bring us to victory!" Catherine had also spoken back to everyone as the girls nodded their heads in full agreement as she and the other girls proceeded to wait in line until it was their turn.

"Fools! You'll never make me fall in this water! Even my grandmother can throw better than you or anyone else!" The Clown had spoken to the crowd as more balls missed him as eventually it was time for Anya and her cousins to have their turn.

"Who wants to go first?" Daisy had asked everyone as she saw Anya raise her hand as this prompted her to hand Anya the red ball.

"Good Luck, cuz! Don't let his words get to you, okay?" Daisy had advised Anya as she gently touched her shoulder as she saw Anya walk closer towards where her target was at.

"That girl, She looks like that broadway chick named Anastasia! Could this be her daughter…" The Clown had thought to himself as he observed the young girl before he eventually began to ask her a question.

"Are you by any chance the daughter of Anastasia? You look just like her…" The Clown had asked Anya as he awaited his answer in the process.

"Yes, Why do you ask? If you are intending to push my buttons and make me lose focus then it's not gonna work so better luck next time.." Anya had answered back in a rather stern tone of voice as she was ready to throw the ball as she heard cheers coming from her cousins.

"You can do it, Anya! Just don't let his words get the best of you!" Katie had advised Anya as she was met with her cousin nodding her head in understandment as The Clown started to speak.

"I see, If I'm being honest with you, your mother's acting is terrible! I mean she can't act like her life depends on it!" The Clown had spoken to Anya in hopes of making her miss the target as he chuckled right after his words.

"Don't let him get to you, just throw the ball…" Anya thought to herself as she tried her best to not get distracted as she used her power to throw the ball as it quickly managed to hit the target thus allowing the man to fall in the water.

"You did it cuz! You actually won the game!" Daisy had congulated Anya as she ran up to give her a tight hug as Catherine and Katie did the same thing as well.

"Whoa, I didn't expect her to actually win…" The Clown had thought to himself as he got up from the water to see the four girls walking away in victory.

"Say, Where do y'all wanna go next? We still have around 40 minutes left until the fireworks so let's grab something to eat, okay?" Catherine had spoken to her cousins as she was met with nods of agreement as the girls looked around for a place to eat as they noticed a hot dog stand.

"Let's grab some hot dogs! All that walking around had made me quite starved!" Anya had spoken to everyone as she and the others ran to the hot dog stand to order their food which was fries, hot dog and a drink as the four girls found a place to sit and proceeded to eat their dinner while talking amongst themselves.

"Say, What are your friends' names again? I've been meaning to ask you that" Katie had asked Anya as she had taken a bite from her hot dog and fries as she awaited her answer.

"My friends? They're names are Charlotte, Claudia, Miss Joyce, Nancy, Russell, Emma, and Carrie. They are very wonderful people and I'll always cherish them.." Anya had answered back as she had a warm smile on her face as this made the girls smile back at each other as they continued to eat and chat amongst themselves for the next forty minutes.

*10:55pm*

One hour had passed as Anya, Catherine, Katie, and Daisy were standing at the center of the festival in which was illuminated in orange light as the girls watched the fireworks as they stared in complete awestruck as they seen the many colors of each firework such as blue, red, yellow and etc.

"I had such a good time with you guys tonight, It's truly been a blessing to reconnect…" Anya had spoken to her cousins with a warm smile on her face as she turned her direction to her cousins.

"Awwww, same for you. It truly has been wonderful spending time with my favorite people in the world!" Katie had spoken back as well as she saw Anya's hand reach out to the group.

"Like my mother said, once we say our goodbyes on Saturday then please don't forget me" Anya had spoken to her cousins as she felt the warmth of everyone's hand on hers as the girls proceeded to raise their hands in the air as they let out cries of joy.

"So far, this spring break has been truly a blessing in disguise, I've met so many wonderful people in my life…" Catherine had thought to herself.

Catherine and her cousins continued to watch the fireworks and enjoy the festival for the reminder of their time as this brought their bonds and love much closer together than before.
