Chapter 3
The thieves ran into the woods, the guards still chasing them. The trio ducked behind a tree and put their hands over their mouths to muffle their heavy breathing. The guards ran right past them and continued running in another direction. When the sound of the guards' footsteps faded, the ladies stepped out from behind a tree.
"What a chase," Ladybug said, holding the satchel with the stolen crown close to her hip.
"And it wouldn't happen if you just kept your mouth shut." Queen Bee said with a glare.
"Oh, you're no fun, Chloe," Rena Rouge said with an eye roll.
"I told you, It's Queen Bee!"
"Ladies, calm down," Ladybug said. "We got the crown now, and that's what matters. Hey, what's this?"
On a nearby tree, three wanted posters were pinned to it. Ladybug pulled her wanted poster off and took a closer look. "Oh no, no no no no, this is terrible."
"Yeah, great job putting us out there," Queen Bee said sarcastically.
"No, I look terrible." She held up the poster to show them her picture. 'They got my nose all wrong."
"Come on, it's not that bad," Rena Rouge said.
"Easy for you to say," Ladybug fumed, looking at Rena Rouge's picture. "You look amazing."
"Yeah Fox, just look at mine." Queen Bee pointed at her picture. "My head is not that big. It's ridiculous, utterly ridiculous."
Suddenly, a white horse with a brown mane and tail appeared a few feet away from the trio, neighing angrily.
"Woah, easy there." Ladybug put her hands up, holding the satchel in one hand. "Nice horsey."
The horse, noticing the satchel, glared and started galloping towards Ladybug.
"Well, gotta run!" Ladybug started running again, with her comrades not far behind. The horse chased after them.
Ladybug swung her yoyo at a tree branch, wrapping the yoyo string around it. Before she could pull herself up, the horse caught up to her and grabbed the satchel with its teeth, pulling her down. Ladybug and the horse played tug of war, pulling back and forth on the satchel.
"Girls, a little help here!" Ladybug called.
"On it!" Chloe pulled out a syringe out of her pocket. "Venom!"
Before Chloe could paralyze the horse, it kicked her with its hind legs, sending her flying into Rena Rouge. The syringe accidentally went into Rena Rouge's arm, paralyzing her.
"Great job, Queen Wasp." Rena Rouge said sarcastically.
"It's Queen Bee!"
Ladybug and the horse continued to tug at the satchel. The horse gave another forceful pull, ripping one of the straps off and sending the satchel flying out of Ladybug's hands. The satchel flew through the air and caught on a branch of a tree on the edge of a cliff.
Ladybug and the horse glared at each other and dashed towards the tree.
Ladybug threw her yoyo around the tree branch and pulled. The horse jumped onto the tree branch and reached for the satchel. Unfortunately, due to its weight, the tree branch broke, and both the horse and ladybug went tumbling down the cliff.
After a few minutes of falling, the horse landed on the ground with a thud. The horse slowly stood up and shook the mane hair out of its face. The horse looked around for the black-spotted thief, but all he saw were trees and grass.
Ladybug wrapped her yoyo around a large rock, slowing down her fall and landing on her feet. A minute later, the satchel fell in front of her feet.
"Heh hey." Ladybug said, picking it up. "Come to Mama."
She looked around, and spotted a cave dug into the cliff. Hearing the horse's neighbors not too far away, Ladybug ran into the cave. The cave was pitch black. Ladybug couldn't see a thing.
"I guess now would be a good time to use it." Ladybug said to herself. "Lucky Charm!"
Ladybug tossed her yoyo into the air. Red and pink sparkles filled the air, then slowly faded away, revealing a flashlight. Ladybug tucked her yoyo to her belt and turned on the flashlight. She saw light coming from the other end of the tunnel. Ladybug walked towards the light, leading her out of the cave. She gasped. Standing several feet away was a tall tower.
"A hiding place." Ladybug grinned. "This is my lucky day."
Ladybug walked over to the tower. To her luck, she spotted an open window. She swung her yoyo around the window hook and pulled herself up. Ladybug entered the tower window and shut the blinds.
She held up the satchel and grinned. "Well, at least no one knows we're here."
Suddenly, something hit her in the back of the head, knocking her out.
Adrien stood in a fighting stance, holding his fencing sword above his head.
Author's Note: Hello, beautiful readers. Our lady in a shiny suit is now in the tower. How will our golden-haired prince react? Wait and see. Until then, live your dreams, and have a good weekend.
