Beyond the dimly lit corridor hallway, The Justice League cautiously paced forward in the heart of the exposed compound.

Lex Luthor's compound.

The Justice League entered a tight squeezed room which was darker then the rest. The whole place had been eerily silent, something wasn't right. Through his cowl a drop of sweat trickled down his forehead as he stepped towards a large glass window to peer into it. Several seconds of thinking, he decided to enter the room and explore.

"I don't know about you guys but i'm getting serious creepy vibes…" Flash nervously looked around. It had broken the tensity among the group and started actual conversation.

"Luthor wouldn't have packed ship and left already. There's something here, something he is hiding, and I'm going to find out about it." Batman stepped towards the door and pried it open. Without any consultation from the other members, he entered the dark room and began his investigation.

"Batman wait..!" Wonder Woman held out her hand but couldn't catch him. Without hesitation she went after him. The others hesitantly followed along.

"Superman, can you detect anything?" Martian Manhunter inquired.

"I'm looking…" Superman used his x-ray vision and scanned the room.

Behind them a large looming shape had made its way into the room. Batman could pick up the heaviness in it's steps, not long after the others did too. Simultaneously, the Justice League sharply turned and took defensive stances. The shape was massive but shrouded in darkness, revealing glowing red eyes. A scanning type beam absorbed over the members before anything took place.

Superman flew at the shape and swung his charging fist at it, but he was caught by a massive pale hand. Taking everyone by surprise, Superman's attack was countered. The shape took Superman in it's hold and ran out of the compound at superspeeds, comparably to the Flash. The shape was Amazo and it had just begun it's trail run, taking the powers of the Justice League.

Amazo dragged Superman with its newfound super speed and launched the Man of Steel into his own statue, sending it towering down and collapsing into pieces. Superman grunted and pushed himself up with his knuckles, rushing at Amazo and throwing superspeed punches at the android. Amazo vibrated his frequency and every punch went through him. Superman stared in awe at Amazo and was grabbed once again, hauled up into the air and slammed down on the concrete which made a large creator under him.

The android turned its focus away and eyed the approaching members. "Guys what is that thing and how is it doing this?!" Flash blurted out.

"It's the android Batman was talking about!" Green Lantern butt in.

"It seems that it has taken on our powers by some means!" Martian Manhunter observed with a trembling tone.

"We need to destroy it as fast as possible then!" Wonder Woman cried out, rushing Amazo next.

"Wait!" Batman called, seeing her blindly dash at the opponent. If it was true and it did have all of their powers, this was the deadliest threat yet. It was going to take a lot to put it down, but united, not one on one.

Wonder Woman threw a punch but Amazo crossed its arms and blocked it, grabbing her arms and lifting her up. Wonder Woman used her strength to push his arms to the side and went in for a headbutt, not even earning a flinch from the android. Amazo did his own headbutt on her and stunned Wonder Woman with its strength. The muscular machine hoisted the amazon on its shoulders and fell back with her, crushing her under its weight.

"No!" Batman roared. Green Lantern and Flash took lead at Amazo, Flash circling it swiftly and throwing out electrified punches while Green Lantern tied it in place with construct chains. Aquaman took the liberty and helped the two, jumping Amazo with his trident and trying to slice through it. The overwhelming attacks didn't go on for long, Amazo's eyes lit up and a beam of lasers shot out, blasting Green Lantern back and busting his chains. Aquaman was grabbed and used like a rag doll, smacking Flash to the side with his equal superspeed and afterwards throwing Aquaman onto the floor.

Amazo locked onto Batman with his glowing eyes and was ready to disintegrate him, but long green arms extended around his waist and threw him backwards. Before it made contact with the ground Martian Manhunter uppercutted Amazo into the air and it was pushed further with Superman rising up and repeatedly punching him higher up. Amazo took a few hits and was nearly out of the atmosphere but managed to intercept one of Superman's hits and bashed him downwards back towards Metropolis.

Wonder Woman flew behind Amazo and used her lasso on him, tugging on it and wrangling up Amazo. Green Lantern came in for support and made a hammer construct, striking Amazo in the head with a hefty hit. Amazo phased through the lasso and punched Green Lantern into Wonder Woman, proceeding to fly back down onto the ground. Flash ran in and kicked Amazo's leg, running off. Amazo scoffed and ran after him, easily keeping up. "Shit shit shit shit shit…!" Flash realized that wasn't a good idea.

Aquaman came in for the save and speared Amazo with a bearhug, digging his head into the chest of the android and shoving it harshly onto the pavement. Amazo rolled over on Aquaman and struck him with an elbow to the temple, tearing open a bloody gash. Amazo rolled over Aquaman over and hit him with a punt kick, violently jerking his head. Aquaman could barely muster up the strength to sit up and couldn't do much as Amazo threw him into the waters of Metropolis and started using his own power against him. A swarm of sharks started heading Aquaman's way and Amazo left them to it, going back and fighting the reapproaching members.

Aquaman opened his eyes, met by the blurred vision of dripping red water and hungry beasts nearing him. He felt paralized, his body shivering and cold. Had it not been for the hand of Wonder Woman pulling him out, he would be sharkbait. Dragging him back on shore, Wonder Woman swapped places with Flash and went back to fight while Flash tended his battle wounds.

Amazo was getting the best out of everyone, and rightfully so. That amount of power was unseen, and without a proper execution or group take down, they would fall short. Amongst the chaos Batman had called in the Batplane for an aerial assault. It was time to take things together and save the city from this ambonimantion. "Wonder Woman! Use the lasso to contain the android! Superman and Manhunter, heat vision, hold him in place! Green Lantern, shield and contain any of it's attacks if you can! If this thing is truly a machine then I'll shut it down myself." Batman informed them through their shared link coms.

Wonder Woman threw her lasso over Amazo and pulled tight, digging the soils of her boots deep into the ground to hold her composure. Superman and Martian Manhunter unloaded with beams of heat, and Green Lantern took guard in case he escaped or fought back. Batman prepared to launch a emp missile at Amazo but his radar picked up spiking energy levels coming from the android. "Everyone stop…!"

Bright bits of energy started circulating around Amazo's body and it grew brighter and brighter by the second. A burst of energy blasted off it and pushed all the members away. The blast rippled through the city and tore through a large radius, buildings and structures collapsing all around. The people of Metropolis ran around in a hysteria, panicking on end at the destruction of its city. It even interfered with the Batplane and tampered with it's engine, causing Batman to make an energy landing.

The batplane sliced through the ground and crashed into stacked rubble, abruptly stopping. Batman pushed open the hatch and climbed out, coughing. When the smoke cleared, all that was left was a crater. Amazo was gone. All the members of the Justice League got up weakly and looked around.

Superman clenched his fist and felt his eyes grow misty. His city was burning and he couldn't even save it. He let out a defeated cry and punched some rubble, shaking the ground slightly, "How could I let this happen?!"

"This is not your fault. We are all to blame." Martian Manhunter put his arm around Superman.

"I've experienced the same emotions before, and I do now…" Green Lantern joined, understanding the feeling of helplessness and defeat. "We need to find that damn robot to prevent any other cities from getting hurt."

"Green Lantern is right." Batman nodded.

"Surely what we need right now is rest. All of us are in no shape to fight on. Aquaman is severely wounded, he needs our help." Wonder Woman insisted instead.

"You go ahead, I will stay here and help my city recover. I'll keep an eye out for anything, let me know if you need me or anything." Superman took off into the sky.

"I'll help him." Martian Manhunter nodded to his companions, "I'll be in touch."

Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman returned to Wayne Manor for recovery.
