A/N: hey everyone! I'm back with another new Noya fanfiction! This time, we have an abusive family member: his sister! I only see abusive fathers and brothers so I figured we change it up a bit. Abusive women don't get talked about nearly enough so here I am. Anyway, I'm gonna be quiet and let you guys read it! Have fun!
I own nothing of Haikyuu!
Nishinoya quickly dove down to receive the ball that was about to hit the ground. It was such a clean receive as Nishinoya watched with satisfaction as it went up in the air.
"Nice receive!" Daichi exclaimed as he went to bump the ball in the air.
Nishinoya was quick to jump back to his feet and focus back on the practice game. Asahi was quick to run up and spike the ball after Suga set it for him. He was able to gain a point for his team.
"Nice one!" Daichi called out.
Nishinoya went up to Asahi and slapped him on the back.
"Nice job, Asahi!"
Asahi jumped as he quickly turned to the libero.
"Oh uh…t-thanks Nishinoya. But I think it was your save that helped us gained that point."
"Awww stop being so modest!" Nishinoya laughed. "You know that was a damn good spike!"
Asahi chuckles nervously as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Alright you two, let's go!" Daichi said.
They both got into their position as the game continued. The game continued for a while until there was a 2-1 win with Daichi's team being the winner. However, they were neck in neck at the end.
"Alright, that was great you guys!" Ukai said. "For the remainder of practice, let's practice our receives. It looks like we could use some more work on that.
Kageyama didn't miss a beat to shoot a look at Hinata. Hinata noticed the look and looked over at him.
"What's that look for, Kageyama?! You gotta problem?! Do you want a fight?!"
This earned a smack in the back of Hinata's head.
"You dumbass! You know exactly why I'm giving you that look! Your receives are still complete shit! You need to work on them!"
"Hey! My receives aren't that bad!"
Kageyama raised an eyebrow at him, which only provoked Hinata further.
"What?!"
"Alright, that's enough," Daichi sighed, not in the mood to scold them.
Hinata and Kageyama glared at each other before looking back towards Ukai.
"Anyway, let's go ahead and work on them. Now let's go!"
"Hai!" everyone but Tsukishima exclaimed.
Everyone then disbursed. Yamaguchi looked in Nishinoya's direction and figured it would be a good idea to practice his jump floats with him. After all, that was also Nishinoya's weak point, so this would be good practice for him as well. As Nishinoya went to grab a ball, Yamaguchi walked up to him.
"Hey uh Nishinoya?"
Nishinoya looked over at him.
"What's up Tasashi?"
"Would you mind if I practiced my jump floats?"
"But of course Tadashi! What kind of upperclassman would I be if I didn't help out my underclassmen? That's what I'm here to do!"
Yamaguchi couldn't help but chuckle at Nishinoya's over the top answer. Meanwhile, Tsukishimia, who was only a few feet away, rolled his eyes as he walked away.
"Alright, let's go," Yamaguchi said as he started to go over to the other side of the net.
Nishinoya got himself ready for Yamaguchi's serves. He knew they would be pretty tough since even himself was struggling with jump floats.
"Alright Tadashi! Let's go!" Nishinoya exclaims proudly.
Yamaguchi smiled as he began to practice his serves. Meanwhile, as everyone else was practicing, every 2-3 minutes, everyone could hear Kageyama yelling at Hinata for messing up a receive…again. Dumbass was used…a lot! It got to the point that everyone just blocked out their constant bickering since it was just so normal at this point.
About half an hour later, practice was over. It was no one's surprise that Hinata and Kageyama were screaming as they cleaned up. Tsukishima sighed, wondering how the hell could those two have so much energy. He didn't really care to think too much of it. Everyone was packing up as Daichi got everyone's attention.
"Hey guys! I have enough money to get everyone a treat! If anyone wants to come, they can."
Naturally, Hinata, Kageyama, Nishinoya, and Tanaka were all in. Anything having to do with food was like asking them if they wanted to play volleyball. Tsukishima and Yamaguchi passed due to having to get school work done and getting ahead. Other than that, everyone else went. As always, they stopped at the shop that their coach works at during the day. However, Ukai had a few errands to run so he couldn't be at the shop. Daichi bought the team something and the team ate and talked. Some of them…louder than others. The third years were not surprised. Actually, no one was surprised by the crazy first year duo. Nishinoya was eating a popsicle when Tanaka walks up to him.
"Yo dude! Wanna hang at my place tonight? Saeko has the drums!"
Nishinoya looked at Tanaka with a huge smile.
"Hell yea dude! I always love hearing her play the drums!"
"Eh, it gets annoying after a while."
"Nah man! I bet it's always awesome!"
"Ah come on you don't even live with her!"
"Living with her would be great my dude!"
"Ha! Try having a sister for a day and see!"
Nishinoya laughed. "She and I would have the best times!"
Tanaka shook his head in amusement as he rolled his eyes. After a bit of time, Tanaka and Nishinoya went on over to Tanaka's house. When they enter, they immediately see Saeko playing on the drums. Nishinoya immediately started to rock out.
"Yeeeeeea! You go big sis!"
Saeko seemed startled as she suddenly stopped drumming before looking in their direction.
"Heeeyy Yuu! What's up!"
"Oh nothing much! Tanaka told me you were playing the drums, so of course I had to come check it out!"
"Ooooh did he now?"
Saeko looked over to her brother with a smirk and Tanaka rolled his eyes.
"Stop looking so smug!"
Saeko laughs as she looks back at Nishinoya.
"Well are ya looking for a concert?"
"Hell yea I'm looking for a concert!"
"Alright! Then let's go!"
Saeko went back to her drums and immediately started playing. Nishinoya started jamming out and soon enough, Tanaka was joining his best friend. They all had a good time listening to Saeko playing the drums for a little while, before Nishinoya and Tanaka went up to Tanaka's room and hung out.
Talking about many topics such as volleyball, how much school sucked, and most importantly, Kiyoko. They were once again making plans of protecting her from other guys from other schools. If Daichi heard what they were planning, they would definitely get a 45 minute lecture of why their plan is such a horrible idea.
After some time, Nishinoya checked the time to see it was almost 10pm.
"Well dude, I better get home. It's getting pretty late and frankly I'm not in the mood to hear my parents' lecture."
Tanaka laughed as he shook his head.
"Yea, I wouldn't want that either. Don't get stabbed by a knife wielding maniac on the way home. None of our teammates need to worry about you stumbling and bleeding out everywhere."
Nishinoya gave Tanaka a look.
"Dude…you're morbid."
"You have no room to talk," Tanaka snickered.
Nishinoya couldn't help but chuckle. "Yea true. Anyway, see ya tomorrow dude!"
"See ya!"
And then Nishinoya started to make his way out of the house, saying bye to Saeko in the process. It was a bit windy on the way home, but Nishinoya didn't mind. He's honestly walked in worse weather. This was just a light breeze to him. The walk only took 10 minutes anyway. Soon enough, he reached his house and began to take his shoes off at the door.
"Mom, dad, I'm home!" he announced as he looked down to finish taking off his shoes.
There wasn't an answer, but he didn't mind. As he pushed his shoes aside so they weren't in the middle of the walkway, he heard a voice.
"Hey Yuu!"
Nishinoya's eyes widened at who that voice belonged to. He hasn't heard that voice in years. He slowly looked up to see who he was looking at.
"Aki?!"
A/N: annnnd that's it! How was the first chapter? Also, yes I made A Libero's Mishap reference (another Noya fanfiction of mine for those who don't know). Let me know what you guys think and any constructive criticism you may have! Thanks! Bye!:)
