Warning: murder

Mito had taken a great liking with her great granddaughter. Tsunade had agreed to name the child after her. When Haruki was first born she came out with a full head of Uzumaki red. Mito had thought the gene had died out with her own children. It gave her hope. The Senju clan was nothing of what it once was. And the Uzumaki had more and more frequent skirmishes, many sought after their prized Fuin. She had her grandchildren to pass on the Senju name but in honor of both families she dubbed the girl Haruki Uzumaki.

Tree for Hashirama. And for the future of the village hidden in the leaves. She would be their tree.

As soon as the child could speak, Mito was teaching her how to write. Her control was wobbly at first but as she got older her Calligraphy improved. In Haruki's life, she loved Calligraphy. It brought to her a calmness and she was able to control the writing's meaning. It was a lifetime hobby. One that aided her greatly.

Many people were afraid of Orochimaru, especially children. They would freeze, and terror

would course through them at the sight of him. But not his Little Red. She was different from other children. And he adored her. And she gave him her love so generously. No one would take that love from him. Love. Was a rare thing for him, only his teammates and Sensei had ever really loved him.

And even the thought of having the power Danzo offered, compared to the eyes that shown such adoration towards him. He never thought it possible for someone to smile in wonder at him. And a child at that. That power seemed so insignificant compared to her smile. And the world so insignificant compared to her.

"Are you even listening to me, Orochimaru?"

"I refuse."

"You-you can't refuse me! She is my daughter! Not yours!"

"I refuse to give up my visitation rights."

"I only get so much time out of my schedule to see her! And you almost always are the one watching her!"

On Haruki's fourth birthday, Kakashi pushed her off of the tree they were climbing.

"What the F-ck is wrong with you!"

"Haruki why would you say that!" Her mother and Kakashi's mother both came out of her house and into the back yard carrying refreshments. Haruki glowered in Kakashi's direction. Stupid kid!

"I was only saying what Jiraiya taught me to, kaa-chan!"

"That's a bad word Haru," I know that. " And Jiraiya is going to get a good lesson on things he shouldn't be saying with that mouth of his!"

My bad Jiraiya-ojii…

"Kakashi! What do you say to Haru-chan?" His mother asked.

"I didn't do-!"

"Kashi-chan," his mother's too sweet voice started. "I'm only going to give you one chance."

He glared down at me from the branch he was perched on and shouted at the top of his lungs; "I'm not sorry!"

Kakashi didn't come over for a long while after that.

"Hey Kashi, did you enjoy your long punishment?"

"Yes, all that time not seeing your face was great." He snarked.

Kakashi's parents eyed him from across the room and Haruki laughed. "You're cute."

A light blush from the top of his mask went unnoticed my most.

And Orochimaru contemplated child murder.

Hope everything in this chapter was good! I love writing little snips of just anything. Reviews are lovely, it's what motivates me ;)
