*Alamo Square, San Francisco*
A few hours had passed since the relay race as everyone was enjoying a wonderful barbeque in celebration of Linda and her team's victory while everyone was waiting for the fireworks as Linda was chatting away with Amy.
"So, how long are you and your family staying out here for? I honestly thought that you guys lived here or something" Amy had asked Linda while waiting for her answer as Linda began to speak.
"We're leaving in five days or so and I don't blame you since we've been in San Francisco for almost a month now but do you live out here or are you visiting?" Linda had questioned Amy as she was met with Amy nodding her head in confirmation.
"I do live around here and I must say. This city is pretty nice so you should visit often once you turn eighteen and who knows! I might show you around" Amy had advised Linda as she had a smile on her face while Linda returned the favor as they heard a voice calling out to them.
"Hey guys, do yall wanna watch the fireworks with us since they're about to begin in just a few moments?" Anya had asked the pair as she and Alexander were walking towards them with cotton candy in their hands.
"Congrats on winning by the way! You guys did wonderful! I wouldn't stand a chance against you guys'' Alexander had chimed in as his comments made Linda and Amy smile.
"Thank you, I wouldn't had done it without the support of you two so I should be thanking you both for all the hard work that you guys had accomplished and yes, I would love to watch the fireworks with everyone" Linda had spoken back while Amy nodded her head in agreement.
"She's right, I feel like everyone had a role to play for Linda to succeed and that's what teamwork truly is!" Amy had spoken out in agreement as everyone nodded their heads in agreement while Alexander began to speak.
"You're right. I'm glad that our time together ended on a good note meaning we can leave here without any regrets or anything and it was all thanks to our teamwork" Alexander had spoken out as well while everyone shared a warm smile together before remembering the fireworks.
"I agree and we should also get a good view of the fireworks as well so we won't miss them" Anya had spoken out to her cousins and Amy as everyone nodded their heads in agreement before going towards Alamo Square as they eventually found a good view for the fireworks.
"You picked a good spot, Anya cause this view is quite stellar. I know for a fact that we can see some good fireworks from up there" Amy had spoken out to Anya in a tone of excitement as she began to sit down along with everyone else in anticipation of the fireworks.
"Oh yeah, Anya? Do you have any plans for the second part of your summer since we still have July and most of August off?" Linda had asked her cousin in a tone of curiosity as she waited for an answer as she eventually heard Anya speak.
"Good question but I honestly might hang out with my friends and that's honestly about it" Anya had responded back as Linda smiled back before speaking once more.
"That's pretty nice. I might just find some friends of my own since I really wanna be more open with those I care about since I've been rather cold lately" Linda had spoken back to her cousin while both girls shared a smile together while Alexander began to speak.
"You know, It's crazy that we've only been here for almost a month yet It feels like it's been a year honestly but I'm glad that I can spend half of my summer with the people that I love.." Alexander had spoken out in a happy tone of voice as he was quickly met with Linda and Anya giving him hugs which made Amy smile.
"Hey now, Let's not get too sentimental here, alright? We still gotta watch the fireworks and I don't wanna get all emotional here…" Alexander had spoken out yet again to his sister and cousin while also fighting back tears in the process.
"I know but It's just that when you brought that up, I knew that I won't see my wonderful cousins until next year or something. I honestly want all of my loved ones to stay in one big place! I know I sound cheesy right now but still…" Anya had spoken back to her cousin while letting out a warm smile as they eventually heard the first sound of fireworks which quickly alerted them.
"Guys, Look! It's the fireworks! They're so pretty…" Amy had spoken out to the trio as everyone quickly focused their attention to the beautiful fireworks that were going off.
"Woow, I never knew how beautiful fireworks were until today…" Linda had uttered out in surprise as she was amazed by the fireworks as the colors that she saw were green, blue, red, and other such wonderful colors.
"Summer was honestly really wonderful this year since I got to spend time with my beautiful cousins, went to San Francisco, and we managed to win the relay race" Anya had spoken out in happiness while looking forward to seeing Linda in her happiest state before it was noticed by her.
"Love you, Anya. Thanks for always reaching out to me. You're such a good cousin to me" Linda had spoken to Anya with a smile on her face.
"Anytime and I love you as well. I'm always gonna be here for you…" Anya had spoken back to her cousin while she and everyone else continued to watch the beautiful fireworks as Anya, Linda, and Alexander knew that their time together was slowly but surely coming to an end.
