Ch. 5

There was a bit of silence to take in the heavy words Jotaro just spoke. Both Bakugo and Midoriya's faces light in a bit of surprise and fear respectively.

"What?"

"My relatives and I did not come from this universe. Ours has been, at the moment, merged with yours."

"Your relatives?" Midoriya question.

"That's right," Jotaro continued, "Jonathan, Josuke, Giorno, Jolyne, and myself, are all related by blood, albeit some relations are a bit complicated. And that's only more than half of our lineage. Bucciarati, Speedwagon, and the two men you saw at the sign-up desk are close friends of each of us. All the heroes you trained with yesterday came from our universe. Not to mention, we're from different time periods and places. Jonathan is from 1880's England, while Giorno is from 2011 Italy, so while we're together, we were separated by time."

"Ok, so what? If you're really not from this world, then why do you have those spirit Quirks? And how did you get here in the first place?" Bakugo questioned with a hint of hostility.

"Fair questions," Jotaro responded, "How about we go in order, so it will make more sense. Midoriya, see the remote? I want you to throw it at me as fast as you can, using your Quirk."

"Ok," Midoriya responded in slight confusion. Picking up the remote, he began to charge up One for All, channeling it into green, pulsating waves, leading it towards his hand, and in a swift motion, chucked the remote like an American football player, sending it long for the quarterback.

The remote was headed for Jotaro at a blazing speed. If he were an unprepared criminal, this projectile would have broken his jaw...but he was not an unprepared criminal, he was Jotaro Kujo.

Jotaro did not even have to move a muscle. His spiritual hand caught the remote, absorbing the impact without even a scratch or bruise to his face. The group stood in relative shock. Jotaro then brought out the rest of his Stand out, giving the rest of the group their best view of the Stand since yesterday.

The Stand had a primarily purple appearance, with different shades showing throughout it. The Spirit wore black shoes of some kind, with black and white circular knee guards. It also wore similar-colored elbow guards, golden shoulder pads, and black gloves, while its muscular chest was left open, and it had a cloth over the groin area. Its face was similar to Jotaros, except its color was a mix of black and purple. There was a headband around its forehead, which gave way to flowing black hair.

"This is Star Platinum," Jotaro said, "In my universe, he's what we call a Stand, the physical projection of your fighting spirit. In your universe, this would be considered my Quirk."

"So that would explain Josuke and Giorno's auras around their hands the past two days," Midoriya uttered in response.

"The best way I can summarize them is like this...it's that they are similar to your friend Tokoyami's Dark Shadow. Except they're mostly not physically tethered to their users. With a few exceptions of course."

As he sat down again, placing the remote next to the soundstation, he continued, "One more thing to mention is that their abilities are extremely varied. For example, the man in the robe, Avdol, possesses a Stand capable of manipulating fire, while mine has a different, more special ability. Do you remember you two tried to attack me simultaneously and I disappeared from your field of view?"

The two nodded in agreement as to the validity of the events that occurred.

"Star Platinum's ability allows for me to stop time, but for up to 5 seconds."

"So that explains you, yesterday, and your relatives," Bakugo responded, "What about how you got to our world?"

Jotaro sat silent for a few seconds, before continuing, "Well that was brought about by another Stand User. A man by the name of DIO. I had defeated him on a mission in Egypt, but he came back, with an even greater ability: the ability to rewrite reality."

"The ability to rewrite reality? What does that even mean?" Deku questioned.

"He can basically alter any event that occurs in your reality, and even remove you from it entirely; no trace of you remains, and not a single person will be able to remember you."

The fear in the room increased severely. Even Bakugo was slightly afraid.

"But that still doesn't explain how you came to our world. If we were in separate universes, that doesn't explain how they merged."

"This answer is gonna shock you...but it was thanks to a piece of Midoriya's hair."

Speaking of Midoriya, his fear level just shot through the roof.

"That of course, was not Midoriya's fault, but thanks to him punching a strand of your hair, he was able to merge our two worlds together. And I actually have part of the strand here," Jotaro continued, pulling a bag out of his pocket.

Yep. That's my hair, no doubt about it.

"When Jotaro presented this evidence to us," spoke All Might, "we had to take his word on it, especially since the welfare of one of our students was on the line. Not to mention, I knew if he could manipulate reality to his will with that piece of hair, he would most certainly take One for All's power."

Thinking back to his acquisition of One for All (consuming a piece of All Might's hair), Deku began to fully realize the gravity of the situation.

"So…" Midoriya questioned, "What exactly do you want with us? What does DIO want with us?"

"DIO didn't just plan on putting us in this world and leaving us to rot. He plans on harvesting the souls of this world, collecting more power, and becoming a God who reigns over all of reality. And he has an unspeakable number of forces, people with Stand abilities unlike anything this world has ever seen. By this time, I'm sure that they've already located the League of Villains and placed them under their submission. If they're strong enough to take Shigaraki down, they can take the rest of the world down with ease. What we want is for you and your friends to help us defend this world from DIO and his minions."

"You know I still don't believe you right? You haven't exactly proven as to how this is genuine and not some made up story!" Bakugo began to become extremely irritated when it was cut off by a loud and booming voice:

"You're absolutely right, Young Katsuki."

The room suddenly grew more hostile, unable to find where the voice was coming from, including Jotaro. Then the TV turned on while the remote laid untouched, a hazy black and white screen, when it cut out to a hazy black, a white figure contrasting it. The figure seemed to be sitting on a large, white throne, lying lazily on his right shoulder

"DIO!" Jotaro yelled, pulling out Star Platinum, ready to punch the TV should the situation get out of hand.

"I must say Jotaro, I too remained skeptical after hearing your explanation. So how about a live demonstration instead? You see, the piece of hair you have on the table is merely a duplicate you found next you. I still have the real strand right here." DIO bragged, holding it in his arm. "Now, let's say I wanted to punch Midoriya right in the gut. If I punch the hair, the pain should transmit to that area." DIO calmly stood up, let the hair go, and with the same precision as before, hit the strand of hair with a fierce intensity.

At the same time, Midoriya felt an extreme blow to his abdominal region. It was so hard that he ended up spitting out blood. Midoriya growled and cried in pain. The rest of the room stood in shock at the "demonstration".

"But I'm sure Young Katsuki is thinking," the menacing vampire resumed, "that maybe Jotaro stopped time to punch Midoriya...which is plausible, but could he do this?!" With another punch of the hair, Midoriya's fist launched forward and made a deep impact on Bakugo's navel region too. Like Midoriya, Bakugo began coughing up blood.

Both of the students were writhing in pain as All Might yelled out, "DIO! Stop this!"

DIO let out a slight chuckle as he resumed his speaking. "Very well then, I'll leave them be. But you should know that this little secret of yours will be known by everyone sooner or later, whether or not I get involved one way or another is a different story. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve too," he chuckled, "and I'm just so excited to share them with you. Until next time, Jotaro!" and with that, the broadcast ended, and the TV turned off.

After the commotion died down, Jotaro approached the soundstation and dialed a number. "Jonathan, send Josuke to the conference room." After a brief confirmation, Jotaro turned it off and turned his attention to Midoriya and Bakugo.

"Now do you see the threat we face?" Jotaro questioned, while helping the boys up.

Midoriya gave a slight nod with the little energy he had left. "I do."

"That jerk's not gonna get away with a low blow like that! I'll make sure of it!" Katsuki yelled in a tone tainted with revenge.

"And we'll save the world in the process!" Midoriya shouted out as a new wave of energy overcame him.

"Then it's agreed," Jotaro spoke with a small smile drawn on his face, "We can finally get to work then."
