(A Voice That Reaches Loved Ones)

It was a few hours before the big event as Mrs Miller was driving towards Anya's home while letting out a sigh to herself before getting out of the car.

"So this must be Anya's home, I hope that I can convince her parents to have her sing in Cynthia's place.." Mrs Miller had spoken to herself while she knocked on the door as she waited for the door to open and to her surprise, It did as both Anastasia and Casey opened the door.

"Good Afternoon, could we help you with something, miss?" Casey Newman had asked the woman in a polite tone of voice while he waited for an answer as Mrs Miller began to speak.

"Hello, My name is Edith Miller. I'm the mother of Judith whom you two might know as the girl who dislikes your daughter but I just wanted to ask you two to unground Anya, this whole thing wasn't her fault but rather my daughter's due to her jealousy and spite…" Mrs Miller had requested towards the pair in hopes of convincing them to unground Anya however Casey remained firm on his stance.

"My name is Casey Newman and It's nice to meet you as well, however, we can't do that since our daughter has to learn a lesson in sneaking out, missing school, and impersonating someone so she is grounded for two weeks and that's final" Casey Newman had firmly spoken back in a stern tone of voice while Anastasia nodded her head in agreement.

"We're aware that Judith's actions were very spiteful and hateful, however, Anya still had made us worried sick when we were searching for her last night and that's mostly where the punishment is coming from so please try to understand that.." Anastasia had spoken out to Mrs Miller in a more understanding tone of voice while this only made Mrs Miller more willing to convince them than ever before.

"Look, I know Anya has gotten both of you worried sick and I understand that but I feel like Anya should not be punished since there wasn't any ill nor bad intentions from it but rather from a place to make those that Anya cares about happy and content with herself.." Mrs Miller had continued to plead as her words were met with Casey shaking his head in disapproval as he began to speak.

"I'm afraid we can't grant your request, the reason is that Anya needs to learn from her mistakes of being out so late and don't you realize that me and my wife were worried sick about her? We're just ensuring that this won't happen again…" Casey Newman had spoken out to Mrs Miller as he remained firm on his stance while Anastasia nodded her head in full support of her husband as this caused the woman to look down in disappointment before speaking once more.

"Look, I know Anya should had been more wiser towards you guys but she deserves to hang out with her friends and she deserves to go to homecoming and not be punished due to the petty actions of my daughter's actions, I know how my daughter Judith can get when she's jealous or backed into a corner but just know that I'll ground her in exchange If it means ungrounding Anya but, I also wanna say that, I'm sorry, I'm sorry that my daughter has caused your daughter and her friends to feel so much hurt and pain, from burning that Emma girl's diary to just being petty and mean so as a mother, I'm so sorry…" Mrs Miller had spoken out as she felt tears coming down her face as she began to sob silently to herself as she was quickly hugged warmly by Anastasia.

"Edith, please don't be. You can't blame yourself for the actions of your child cause Judith knows right from wrong, however, I truly respect that you are willing to acknowledge the wrongdoings of your child cause some rich parents are afraid to do that so, Thank you for being honest…" Anastasia had spoken back to Mrs Miller as footsteps could be heard which belonged to Fredreick which caught everyone's attention.

"I-I don't mean to intrude in adult business but I just wanna say that the lady is right. My older sister deserves to go to this special event so please, don't let Anya miss out on her important days due to Judith's actions.." Frederick had spoken out to his parents in full support of Anya as this caused Casey to think about the events that just transpired before making up his mind.

"I believe Anya should be on punishment, however, I do also understand the concerns that everyone has so I guess Anya is ungrounded…" Casey had spoken in defeat as cheers quickly erupted from everyone.

"R-Really?! Thank you so much! I-I promise to bring Anya back home in a reasonable time so please don't worry like last time.." Mrs Miller had spoken out while giving Casey a warm hug while Anastasia watched with a smile on her face.

"Edith is truly a wonderful person and while as a parent, Anya should be punished, I believe that as a person, Anya should still be free to enjoy homecoming and other wonderful things.." Anastasia had thought to herself while she let out a smile, awaiting for Anya's big performance tonight.

*9:30pm*

It was now present time as the audience were getting ready for the big performance by Anya whom they thought was Cynthia while Anya was nervous.

"Okay, remember what Robert said, sing to your heart's content and make sure that your voice reaches your loved ones!" Anya had thought to herself while taking deep breaths as she looked around to see Cynthia, who was wearing shades, waving at her with a smile on her face which caused her to smile as she begun to sing,

"Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high

There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue

And the dreams that you dare to dream

Really do come true

Someday I'll wish upon a star

And wake up where the clouds are far behind me

Where troubles melt like lemon drops

Away above the chimney tops

That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow

Bluebirds fly

Birds fly over the rainbow

Why, then, oh, why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly

Beyond the rainbow"

Anya had finished singing the song with a smile on her face as she knew deep in her heart that her voice managed to reach those whom she loved such as Charlotte, Nancy, Russell, Calvin, Emma, Carrie, Claudia, Mai, Allison, Cynthia, and other beloved people in her life that'll be a memory she'll always cherish for as long as she could live.
