Ch. 8
A black and purple could be seen around the light-colored clothes of Kirishima. His teeth sharpened to form a cruel smile, one of callous determination.
Aizawa once again tried to nullify Kirishima's Quirk, and in doing so, the sharp edges on Kirishima's skin sank and became flat. With a strong hurl, he wrapped the cloth around Kirishima's arms, restricting their movement, and tightened the grip. Though this would prove to be ineffective, for Kirishima's eyes gave a quick yellow and pink glow, and his arms hardened and broke through the cloth, like a knife on the tape of a package.
With his hands free, Kirishima grabbed the cloth Aizawa tried to tie him in and with a great force, yanked it, bringing Aizawa's legs off the ground and sending him flying at great speeds, comparably as if he had All Might's strength.
What is this surge of power Kirishima has?
As Aizawa flew through the air, it forced his eyes to close, while the others could see Kirishima hardening his fist, ready to deliver a string blow. Bracing for impact, Aizawa closed his eyes...but he didn't feel a punch. He opened them slowly to find Jotaro standing in front of him, with Star Platinum grabbing Kirishima's fist. The jagged edges cut Star Platinum's hands, and those cuts showed up with fresh blood on Jotaro's hands. Using his Stand Jotaro pushed Kirishima away from the two, tearing parts of the cloth that still remained off.
"I apologize for what I may have to do," Jotaro turned his head around and said to Aizawa, "But don't worry, I'll have Josuke heal Kirishima up once this is over."
"You're going to hurt one of my students?!" Aizawa questioned fiercely.
"He may look like Kirishima, but believe me when I say whoever is in his body isn't him whatsoever. He's been possessed. Now I can bring him back and heal his body, but that can only be done through combat."
With a resuming blank stare, Aizawa nodded and said, "Very well then, I give you my blessing, so go ahead."
"Very well…Josuke, Giorno, and anyone who can lend a hand do so."
Kirishima let out a terrifying scream, the yellow that infected his eyes growing brighter, as the purple energy swirling around him grew stronger.
"Come get me!" he yelled, "I'm not scared of any of you. You're all just cowardly pests in the Noble One's way!"
Jotaro ran forward at great speed, meeting that of Kirishima. Their first two fists met hand-to-hand, before Jotaro could get a clean hit on his stomach, incapacitating Kirishima for a few seconds before Star Platinum let out a fury of punches, as fast as when he let them out on the Nomu. It took maybe about 20 hits before Kirishima could put his hands up to guard. By then Star Platinum unleashed the final fist, pushing Kirishima a further distance. Behind him to his right, a streak of ice froze part of the street in a line, before it overtook Kirishima, petrifying him.
"What's going on with you?" Todoroki said in a higher tone than his normal caliber. The ice couldn't keep its grip for long, as Kirishima's arms broke through the ice quickly, the energy surrounding him melting the rest. Kirishima's speed barely outmatched Todoroki's reaction time when he (Kiri) ran up to deliver a strong punch. Todoroki was able to block it with his harm, but needless to say that did cause a bit of pain. It was clear that Kirishima was not holding back, even if he wanted to.
Bakugo was running up to the side cupping his hands, with bits of an explosion on his fingertips. After an explosion to the face, Kirishima's hands grappled with Bakugo's, each unwilling to move an inch.
"You gotta snap out of this, Kirishima!," Bakugo yelled, "This isn't like you!"
"You don't seem to understand Bakugo," he responded, the two still pushing against each other like two bears wrestling, "Why go back to being me when I could become a part of something even better?" After a few more seconds, Kirishima tensed his body up and with only a bit of strength, picked Bakugo up, spun around, and threw Bakugo onto an incoming Iida, sending them both back a considerable distance.
Turning right behind him, he could see Giorno's hair flowing in the convenient gale of wind in his direction, his eyes shining bright with determination.
"Because when you choose to give into something in order to be stronger, you lose your truth, your true self. Now come forth, Gold Experience!"
On Giorno's side, a new figure emerged, doused in bright yellow color. Its stature was very tall, yet very lean, not as much muscle as the other Stands Deku and the others have seen. It seemed to have had what looked like thin armor on its chest, arms, crotch covering, and legs, golden with white lines patterned all throughout it. Another notable feature was the ladybug designs evident on most of the stand, including two on its chest, one on each hand, one on each leg, and two on his waist. These were a noble purple, whereas the crotch covering was gold. The top of its head extended past the center of the bottom, with an intricate black pattern, whilst its eyes had small lines, almost robotic in appearance.
Giorno, along with Gold Experience, drove a fist to the ground, and when the two connected, a great surge of energy entered the ground.
"Now life! Spring forth!" he yelled, and a few seconds later, a small tremble shook the street. Then, from the cracks on the street, a plant began to grow. It had a thick, green stem a few inches wide, and had leaves a few inches long, scattered throughout. As the plant grew in height, it became clear, it was a series of thick vines that were growing out of the ground.
With a swipe of his hands, Giorno seemed to have given some kind of command to the vines, as they rapidly went after Kirishima. After closing the distance, the vines wrapped around his knees, making him unable to move. Two other vines made circles around the gears on his costume, almost as if the vines once wrapped were growing to fit the wedges they tried to occupy. With Kirishima suspended in the air, he was unable to move.
"Using Gold Experience, I used these vines to hinder your movements...and seeing as though I targeted the weakest parts of your costume, it would be very difficult for you to get out. Now Josuke!" he yelled from his side. Having stayed where he treated the injured citizen, Josuke ran up to the cacophony of vines holding Kirishima, pulling out Crazy Diamond in the process. And with that Josuke's Stand let out a flurry of punches whose speed was on par with that of Jotaro's, but his Stand's cry was different.
DORA, DORA, DORA, DORA, DORA, DORA, DORA, DORA, DORA, DORA, DORA, DORA, DORA!
After the last punch connected, there seemed to be a noticeable difference in Kirishima's skin. It became loose and flat, seeming as though his Quirk deactivated. His eyes lost the glowing yellow intensity that had encompassed them earlier.
"Crazy Diamond's ability is to restore an object to a certain condition. In this case, I simply returned Kirishima to a state where he hadn't activated his Quirk."
With his head sagging, it looked as if Kirishima was out of energy. Giorno began to loosen the vines around his limbs, lowering him slowly onto the ground, and while that occurred, Jotaro began to walk forward, pulling something from out of his coat.
The object was covered in a white wrap that looked like that of an Egyptian mummy. There seemed to be several layers of that cloth, but it looked like the shrunken ribs of someone's body.
Like Kirishima's body was giving off dark, purple energy, the corpse part Jotaro was holding was giving off a light, white reaction. The latter overpowering the former, the dark energy began to dissipate, and Kirishima's clothes returned to the normal shirt, shorts, and sandals he was wearing earlier.
As he regained consciousness, he put his hand on the back of head, and gave out a loud groan saying "Maaaaaaaan, my head." Looking around he saw Josuke put his hands on Kirishima's back, a pink aura eminanting around them.
"What happened?," the redhead spoke.
Uraraka was the first to speak up, "You were fighting one of the Nomu when...it attacked you with some weird projectile."
Bakugo returned fire with, "Then you got possessed and spouted off about the Noble One or some crap and you attacked all of us. My back is still sore from when you threw me."
"Really?" Kirishima questioned, "I don't remember any of that. I remember fighting that Nomu, but after it hit me with something, I can't recall anything until now."
"It's alright," Giorno walked up and said, "All that matters is you're alright, and we were able to help. Now let's get you back to campus."
"The bus is on its way back," Aizawa talked, "So the rest of you head back to the station and wait whilst I talk with Jonathan and Jotaro. Midoriya, Bakugo, you two stay with me, and Kirishima, I'll need to talk with you privately once we get back on campus. You're not in trouble, but I would like to clarify some things."
"Right," Kirishima responded.
"Now don't forget to say thanks to the Heroes who were with us…"
And with that, a huge clamor of "Thanks!" and "Thank you!" filled the area. As the rest of the students walked back to the bus stop, Aizawa, Jonathan, Jotaro, Midoriya, and Bakugo stayed behind."
"So what exactly happened to Kirishima?" Aizawa asked intensely.
"What you saw today involved two of DIO's abilities," Jotaro spoke, "The first one was the flesh buds on the Nomus. They're cells thar originate from his body, and using these he can enhance a person's abilities, but they have to carry out a specific goal, which in our case is to defeat us."
That's what seemed to keep the chaos the Nomu caused very limited to our group, Midoriya thought before asking himself, So we're dealing with a guy who possesses multiple Quirks?
"His second and seemingly more effective ability is Soul Possession, where like the name suggests, he can possess the souls of anyone, giving them great power. Those under its control will fight for him, no questions asked. But it seems like he took some time to change his formula a bit, as before only that black aura we saw around Kirishima would appear. This definitely won't be the last time we see this, and seeing as though Kirishima is the first one in this world to suffer from this 'Anomaly', there is no doubt in my mind he is going to target Pros."
The idea that sprung into Deku's head was not a pretty one. Heroes covered in white and yellow, using their Quirks in such a villainous way, the cities of the world leveled in black, purple, and fiery red by such uncontrollable atrocities. He couldn't bear to imagine it.
Jotaro continued as he pulled out the bandaged limb from his coat, "What we used to heal Kirishima was called a Corpse Part, which belonged to such a holy man. There are nine in total, and we lost all but this one in our fight with DIO. If he gets his hands on this part, it will spell great trouble for both our worlds."
"We'll issue a press release on what happened and what to be aware about," Jonathan responded.
"I'll notify the school board," Aizawa spoke, "but I doubt the Hero Public Safety Commission will believe that this possession thing exists until one of the top heroes suffers from it."
"Oh they will have to believe it soon if they want Hero society to even survive. Now Bakugo and Midoriya," Jotaro said, "Like I mentioned during our meeting, we will tell everyone in the school the truth about us and the situation with DIO. Seeing as though Kirishima got affected by Soul Possession, we'll have to tell him about this whole ordeal as well. Now take care." As he walked away he turned his head around and said, "And one more thing...we'll be sending someone after school to pick you two up and bring you back here. I think you'll do great at our Agency."
"Thanks!" Deku said out loud, while Bakugo kept a bit of a sour expression on his face. As the two students and teacher walked back, the Sun shifted from its 2 o'clock spot, letting the students get ready for a relaxing Sunday night.
League of Villains Hideout, a few hours later
As the villains from this world were sitting around, some of whom were healing their injuries from the scuffle they had yesterday, Pucci walked in from the door. The other villains seemed to keep their distance from each other, each doing their own thing as well. He kept walking to what seemed to be a golden throne, and with it, DIO in his yellow leotard reclined drinking a glass of red wine.
Pucci got down to one knee, hand across his chest and spoke, "DIO, it appears the Nomu plan worked just as you thought it would. We were also able to test the Nomu with Soul Possession abilities on one of the students. Unfortunately, he was liberated from your control with Jotaro's Corpse Part."
"That last bit matters not, Pucci," DIO returned the pleasantries, "For all that matters is that the experiment was a success, and we can officially begin the next step." He gave a sly grin and kept talking, "Is your memoir ready to publish?"
"Yes, it is," Pucci responded.
"Excellent...Send the younger me out for tonight for a mission. We have to get ready for our grand entrance into the Hero world. It will be one nobody can absolutely forget."
Part 3 End
