Ch. 7
The young British man who had just thrown his American clackers walked through the broken window and into the distressed hall. He watched the zombie again melt into nothing but dust and fragmented body parts. He turned to see Shoto holding his right shoulder, some of the blood still dripping down on the ground.
The first thing he saw was a bit of puzzlement in the faces of the students. Except for Iida sitting up on the ground, whose look was one of delight and determination.
"Mr. Joseph," he said, "It's good to see you again. Especially when we needed it."
"It's good to see you too, Blue-Haired Flash" Joseph remarked with a grin on his face before busting out a short laugh. Of course, this was interrupted when another student spoke up.
"Ummm, Iida," asked Uraraka, "Who is this?
"What?!" Joseph gasped in shock, "Iida was it?! You mean you didn't say anything to the people about my wonderful training exercises!" His displeased face morphed into one with a grin that grew even more smug as he made his introduction.
"My name is Joseph Joestar! And as you can probably guess by my name, I'm a Pro Hero working at the Joestar Agency!"
"Isn't that where Deku is right now?" Tsuyu questioned.
"You mean the green-hair kid? Yeah! But I left them just before the zombies attacked." He began walking over to Shoto's location to take care of him until further assistance came, all the while being questioned like at a Senate confirmation session.
"Zombies?" Ashido questioned with a great fear hidden behind her expression.
Joseph took a quick look behind him, where an argument seemed to be rising amongst two of the students.
"I told you Narancia," Fugo yelled, "Don't make stupid decisions! You have to use your brain!"
"I know!" Narancia clamored back, "But I thought I could gain the upper hand-"
"Mina tried that and look at what happened! If anybody attacked, the zombie was gonna put Shoto as the human shield! Not to mention, you also decided to yell at the top of your lungs, which gave your whole idea away!"
"Hey," Joseph calmly snapped, "That's enough you two." He then turned his attention towards Todoroki.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Todoroki responded,"It hurts a little, but I'll be fine."
"Too bad Josuke's not here," Okuyasu interrupted, "He could have you healed up in no time."
"Not to worry," a new voice spoke from the shattered window, "I can heal him too." He was a man with a young lean build, despite him being quite old. His pants, shirt, and jacket were a shining white, a line of blue on his jacket running along the edge and on the cuffs of the hands. The jacket he wore extended all the way to his knees. On top of his shirt sat an aqua tie underneath a red vest. His eyes were as green as the sea, surrounded by his black eyebrows and his well-groomed mustache. His hair extended out to the sides a little bit, and on top of his hair sat a large tophat, black and white diamonds tessellating along it. He had one of his hands curved outward, placed on his hips as he walked into the hall.
"Baron William Anthonio Zeppeli," said the man, "At your service. Now hold still."
Zeppeli took the hand resting on his hip and raised it to the sky. His hand was a closed fist, with exception to his pinky, which he left raised in the sky. He kept his hand in that position as he retracted his arm and bent his elbow so his fist was parallel to his waist. He also turned his hand around so his knuckles were facing the ground, but he kept his pinky out like a true gentleman. And then, he sent the first straight forward right until his pinky made contact with Todoroki's abdomen, pushing it all the way towards the center of his body. Todoroki's body bent itself backward a bit, absorbing the winding pain. His eyes widened. He hugged his waist in pain as he dropped to the ground on his knees.
"Stop!" Momo yelled, "Why are you hurting him?"
Zeppeli turned his attention to the girl who called out to him, his face basically blank, dried with any emotion, but hidden away was one of care and anger for the events which had unfolded before his arrival. In the meantime he said, "Your friend is merely winded from the blow. Don't worry, he should be fine."
Meanwhile, Todoroki was feeling a slight sensation of blissful energy coursing through his body. It was enough to soothe his anger, frustration, and the pain. He watched as the cut that scraped his body began to close off and heal, while looking on the other side of his body to see his epidermal and dermal layers of his skin reform and return to their normal state. It was as if Shoto had never been attacked at all, his body back to normal.
"There, see?" the baron stated, "He is all better now. Not a single mark on his face."
"It's good to see you're all right," Iida spoke, getting back up on his feet, while helping Kirishima up.
"Yeah," Shoto said calmly, "So that thing that attacked…"
"What you saw enter the building was a Zombie," Zeppeli said, "One of the loyal subservients to the wielder of the Stone Mask, Dio Brando."
"He's basically this big baddy that sent the whole wave of zombie into your school," Joseph tried to simplify the baron's verbose statement.
They turned their attention to Aizawa, as his head rested against the doorframe he was knocked on. He was still breathing, but was slightly out of it.
"I'm going to take care of your teacher," Zeppeli said to the class, "Joseph, I want you to explain in detail what's going on and what these children need to do. If they want to prevent their school from becoming a zombie festering site, then they should know what they're getting themselves into."
Zeppeli made the walk to the injured teacher, when he heard footsteps coming down the stairs. From there he saw three students emerge: Mezo Shoji, Rikido Sato, and Koji Koda. (Author's Note: I'm not going to go through the trouble of giving them introductory descriptions. While they will play pivotal parts in the story, I wanna keep the story moving forward. Thanks for your understanding.)
"What was all the racket about?" Sato questioned, holding a tray of cake mix in his hand.
"Ah good," Zeppeli said, "You're just in time for the explanation."
"Ok so basically," Joseph began, "You remember how on the news there were reports of a bunch of people missing? So it turns out, Dio kidnapped and turned all of them into Undead zombies, and is sending them all over the city, including the Agency which your friends are at right now, to cause chaos and get more undead troops for his army. He sent some of his strongest onto UA Campus, so that's why that zombie attacked you."
"Wow JoJo," a new voice barged from the sky, "I'm surprised you could get that all right in one go."
Near the window, the students saw what seemed to be a semi-large soap bubble descend closer to the ground. On top of that bubble was a man sitting down, one of his legs crossed while the other was laid like how one would sit on a chair. For a young man, he sure had a well-toned body. He wore white pants with a blue belt and a white shirt which laid underneath his blue and gray jacket. He wore a large pink scarf which spread out to different parts of the bubble, the same color as the marks underneath his jade green eyes. His golden sunflower yellow hair was unkempt, except for a yellow and purple triangular patterned headband that wrapped around it, and kept two white feathers from flying away in the wind.
He jumped on the ground as the bubble he was sitting on popped. He walked into the building with a dashing look, and a smug smile.
"As if you could do any better," Joseph remarked, crossing his hands and turning his head away from his friend.
"Well I would, but we gotta deal with all the zombies out on the campus!"
"In that case," a freshly-rejuvenated and healed Aizawa said, "We gotta get a move on." He turned his attention to the Students standing in the lobby.
"We need to get to the classrooms first. Get your Hero Costumes on as quickly as you can. You don't need to put all the features on, just the ones you urgently need. Notify any of your friends sitting in their rooms that right now, we need to get a move-on and protect the campus. Everyone got that?"
The class let out a big "Yeah" in response. Iida led the conversation right after Aizawa finished, "All right everyone, we cannot afford to waste time. Let's get going." The student body rushed to the front door, while Iida had his head turned as he thought…
Midoriya...whatever you're dealing with out there...be careful…
Outside the Joestar Agency
A good few meters away, Bakugo was gaining his breath from the near-chokehold Doobie had just placed on him. Meanwhile, the rest of the fighters were on-guard, ready for the next possible attack.
Doobie still had his hands on his face, dealing with the powerful explosion Bakugo delivered to him. Then, he let the entire cloth tear off and fall on the ground. The cloth then slowly sunk to the ground, getting caught in the gusts of wind blowing nearby. Before the cloth has sunk to the ground and the monster uncovered his face, Deku ran and closed the distance between him and the zombie at lightning speed. Once he was within reach, he made a sharp, diagonal leap towards the zombie, his leg getting ready to enter a kicking position.
If I can attack the Zombie's face at the moment he moves his hands, I can probably stun the Zombie, enough for Jonathan or Kaachan to properly damage him.
Deku then fell towards the monster, whose hands moved away so slightly, slowly exposing his nose, mouth, eyes, and...
Now's my chance!
"One for All, Full Cowling...20%...
SMASH!" He landed a ferocious kick right in the center of the monster's face. Doobie seemed to have been stunned by the attack…
When all of a sudden, a sudden swirl of slithering serpents grazed against Deku's face, leaving a trail of poison on the bloody scratch marks as they retracted back onto the face which hosted them.
"Deku!" Josuke called out, while Joseph extended his arm out and let Hermit Purple emerge. Its purple vines wrapped around Deku and retracted back with him protectively ensnared to bring him back to safety.
"Run, RUn, RUN!" the zombie cheered as its face was revealed to moonlight and streetlight alike. Its face had a very rugged outline, but it seemed to look smooth. The canines extended longer than the rest of its teeth, and the two sides of its tongue converged to a point, making it look very sharp. Its eye was a green iris, whilst its sclera was red as if his bloodlust was actually visible. His bald forehead was littered with slithering roots. There was even one in his other eye socket. These snakes had different appearances, but equally-venomous poison.
Once within the port of safety, Deku got down on one knee as the poison began to take its effect. Josuke was luckily quick enough to use Crazy Diamond's touch on Deku to begin to heal him, but it didn't seem to work for some reason.
"Are you feeling any better?" Josuke asked.
Deku winced in pain as he provided a response, "No, it isn't. I can still feel the poison in my body."
"Well that's no good," Jotaro commented, "Bakugo, think you can get another explosion in from here?"
"Don't think so," Bakugo reacted surprisingly calmly compared to his usual demeanor, "He's just outside my normal explosion range. Not to mention, my gauntlets would require a ton of power and I get a ton of feedback, so using them consecutively won't help."
"Then we gotta come up with something. Fast."
"Hold on Jotaro," Giorno spoke, "I have an idea. Jonathan, take off one of your gloves and charge them with Hamon."
"Ok," Jonathan said, quickly removing the wristbands that embraced his hands. Before handing them to Giorno, he let the sunlit energy of Hamon flow through them.
"Here," he said, "What are you planning to do with it?"
"Trust me on this," Giorno commanded, "I know a way we can both defeat Doobie and get the antidote Midoriya needs in order to cure the poison. Now go forth, Gold Experience!"
Giorno's Stand manifested, adding its golden life energy to the already-circulating Hamon of the glove. He then handed it to Jotaro while Girono gave a simple command.
"Jotaro, I need you to use Star Platinum and throw this glove directly up into the air."
"Got it." Jotaro responded, while summoning Star Platinum. The Stand took the glove, and, letting out a powerful ORA!, chucked it straight into the air, like a rocketship taking off at Cape Canaveral. It soared several stories high until it was barely visible to the naked eye.
"What did you do that for, Golditalian?" Bakugo snapped, before Giorno calmly responded, "Just give it a second"
"Uh guys," Joseph interrupted, "I don't think we have enough time for that!" He said as he pointed to the menacing zombie in front of them, who was charging rampantly.
"You all will be dead corpses in a matter of a few seconds! Now hold still! This will hurt you very much!" Doobie then made another high jump, waiting to slam down on the heroes, with enough power in his fists as the poison in his snakes.
As Doobie was in the sky for a few seconds, an intense sound was echoed throughout the vicinity. It sounded like a huge "Caw!", almost as if it was from a bird.
The object that Jotaro had thrown into the sky began to climb down. Not as a glove, but a majestic eagle. It wasn't bald, for it had brown feathers throughout. Its white beak was short, yet sharp, and gave way to the bird's intense yellow eyes.
"I used my Stand to turn Jonathan's glove into an eagle," Giorno spoke, "One that is a predator to snakes."
The eagle dove down, swooping for the kill. Using its sharp talons, it grabbed one of the snakes on the saulting Doobie's head. Using its beak, it grabbed one of the snakes that was right in Doobie's eye socket. With a great intensity, the eagle tore off one of the snakes on the Zombie's head using its talons, while the Hamon from the glove entered the snake in the eye socket.
With its prey nabbed, the eagle flew back towards the direction of our Heroes, while the burning Zombie crashed on its way down, its descent not as graceful or scalding as the birds'.
