Ch. 8

The eagle's talons let go of the snake as it descended towards our group of Heroes. As Giorno caught the serpent's head, the eagle began to slowly shift back into the wristband that gave it its form. Jonathan grabbed the glove, and placed it back on his wrist.

"Nice work Giorno!" Jonathan commented, before postulating, "But what are you going to do with the snake?"

"It's simple biology; If a snake is able to produce venom, then it's most certainly immune to its own. Ergo, I can use the snake's DNA to make an antidote for Midoriya."

"Oh wow Giorno!" Midoriya said, wincing through the pain of the poison at the same time.

"And you've done this before?"

"Once, but I don't know how a Zombie snake will affect you. Worst case-scenario, Josuke can heal you. But I don't think you'll need it."

"Alright…"

"Now to get to work. This may hurt for a few seconds, but afterwards, you'll be just fine. Now come forth, Gold Experience!"

Giorno's stand crushed the snake head in its hand, allowing some of the snake's blood to leak. With a swab of blood on the Stand's hand, he placed it right on Midoriya's chest, on the right side where his heart was.

In response, Deku began trying to internalize the pain, like sucking in air with his teeth closed. He could take much before letting out a painful scream.

(Author's Note: In all seriousness, I kid. I mean, you saw the meme reference with Fugo's line in 4.5, right? There'll be more sprinkled throughout in appropriate situations, so stick around for the ride. :) )

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! Deku's screams continued for a few seconds before they ultimately ceased, Deku finding himself in a much healthier situation.

"Hey," he realized, "I feel better now!" He said in pure elation, ready to resume the fight against the incoming challengers.

"That's good!" Josuke commented before letting his smile drop as turned his head towards the street and to the opponent lying down on the ground. "But I don't think we're out of the woods yet."

The Hamon Eagle was enough to pack a major punch, but not enough to fully reduce Doobie to ashes.

"What happened?" Jonathan asked.

"The glove couldn't seem to handle both Hamon and Stand energy at the same time," Giorno responded, "So it looks like it had to deplete some in order function properly."

"Well I still got one more punch in me!" But Jonathan could not charge the punch in time, for Doobie had already jumped once more. While bruised and dented, his body had enough left to merge his fist, as if he were ready to strike an axe.

It was all of a sudden...the area heated up in temperature...literally. The temperature rose as the Heroes looked up to find Doobie's face colliding with a flashing fist. From that hand, hot jets of fire kindled and served like the engine of a plane, speeding up the collision and sending the flames onto the zombie's body, finally disintegrating the body of the serpent menace.

The figure's boots also had coming from underneath them, which gave him the ability to float in air. He was a tall man with a lean and toned body. You could tell this man worked at the gym. He was dressed in a dark blue bodysuit, on which stripes thick and thin and of different shades of red wrapped around the waist and chest. He also had a belt with a yellow symbol on it, representing fire. His shoulder pads and arm braces were a shiny silver, and on his fists were small silver rectangles with little holes. His shoes were blazing hot, and flames were searing on his clavicles and on his beard.

"So," Jotaro spoke calmly to the Hero who just appeared, "We finally meet...Endeavor."

"So you're Jotaro of the legendary Joestars," Endeavor responded, putting his hand out to greet the hero "In less than a week, you manage to rise up the ranks. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"The feeling's mutual," Jotaro said, reaching his hand out to meet Endeavor's. The two hands came together to make a firm handshake before it was separated and Jotaro continued to converse.

"Behind me is Jonathan and Joseph, as well as some U.A. Students with the Agency. I think you already know Midoriya and Bakugo, but beside them are Josuke and Giorno."

Endeavor gave the students an intense glare before calmly stating, "It's nice to meet you four. And it's good to see you two again Midoriya, Bakugo as well. Being in the spotlight may have given you fame, but let's see if you'll be able to keep up."

"I'm assuming you got the reports we handed out to your Agency, as well as others."

"I did. I was dealing with a few of those Zombies myself. Then I heard some loud screaming, like a baby. Do you know what happened to them?"

Deku stood there awkwardly, his face trying to hide the feelings of embarrassment boiling up. He saw Bakugo stare in his direction, giving a little chuckle and a cocky smile. They both knew one would hold it against the other for a while.

"Yeah," Jotaro dragged the end of the word on in order to conceal the truth from Endeavor's ears, "You could say they're feeling better now."

In the alleyways of the city

Within an alleyway with a broken neon sign and a few trash cans laying around, three figures stood hidden from patrolling police offices and Heroes alike. Lurking in the shadows were Toga, Dabi, and Shigaraki, watching as the Zombies caused chaos on the streets, citizens screaming and begging for their lives. Their calls for help were sometimes met with silence as they became nothing more than zombie food.

"Remind me again why we're out here, Shigaraki," Toga demanded with a slight pouty face.

Shigaraki stood for a few seconds, letting out a deep sigh, before delivering his answer, "We're out here to conduct research of our own."

"You sure that's the reason?" Dabi retorted, "Not Dio forcing us to come along with his little scheme.

Again, Shigaraki's words waited to escape his mouth. In the meantime, his mind was dialed in into events within the past day...let's see what's there…

Flashback: Midnight, Beginning of Monday

At the League of Villains' Hideout, one could see wooden boards covering the windows which had been broken only a few days ago. The actual was sitting a few meters away from these new villains which had emerged. Kira and Valentine were the exceptions, as they had gone out into the city. Pucci had just risen from the ground after delivering the news of the Nomus.

"Excellent...Send the younger me out for tonight for a mission. We have to get ready for our grand entrance into the Hero world. It will be one nobody can absolutely forget."

DIO proceeded to place his glass down on a crate which had been moved near the chair. He got up, and made his way to the other side of the room. There, he could see the League, aggregated near Shigaraki, who was sitting on nothing but a wooden crate.

"I'm sending one of my lackeys on a mission tonight. Can I get one of yours to accompany him?" DIO said in a sly manner, his arms crossed.

"What exactly IS this mission?" Shigaraki spoke, refusing to make eye contact, partially due to the big hand that covered his face.

"Tell me Shigaraki, your league is quite well-known, right? When people mention 'The League of Villains", what do they think of? You? Your lackeys?", DIO paused before continuing, "All for One? Kamino Ward? Stain, Overhaul, the Beast's Forest Attack?"

"What about them?"

"All these events are your reputation, and are registered under your 'name'. When a person mentions your 'name', your reputation comes to mind."

DIO began to pace around as he continued his monologue, "Where I come from, my name is known, feared, revered! The world bows in respect of my name and my reputation! Both of us are alike in some ways, and that's why we rule together."

"And your point?" Dabi harshly interrupted.

"My point is my plan will not only add to my 'name', but also bolster yours. I possess the ability to turn humans like yourself into zombies and vampires, but left in the sunlight, they'll reduce to nothing but dust. And I don't plan on keeping them around here. So I need Compress here to work with my younger self, in order to collect and hold onto these Zombies. Consider this our first joint business venture."

Shigaraki and the League sat there for a few seconds to ponder the decision. Before Shigaraki said, "Compress, the decision is up to you."

"Very well then," the bright masked man responded with a twirl of his cane, "I'll take on this task." He made his way towards DIO before something ultimately shocking happened.

DIO curled his fist into a punch position, before ultimately sinking it into Compress's abdomen. It was a surface blow, but enough to severely knock the wind out of him. The League stood in shock of the attack of one of their own.

"HEY!" Twice yelled, "What was that for?"

"Relax" DIO said as he walked away, with one of Compress's blue orbs in his hand. "Compress here blocked a majority of the punch with one of these spheres. While it wasn't enough, it sustained a majority of the impact. I figured you and my younger self wouldn't amass enough troops. So I copied his Quirk for myself."

"You mean you could do that?" Shigaraki stood up at the revelation of this new ability.

"And that's how I built my reputation. Now, collect as many Zombies as you can and report back at sunrise. If you see any Pro Heroes, simply capture them. They must certainly know that a new name will control this society of Heroes." DIO turned around before making his way back to the throne.
