Ch. 9
Back to present day
"With DIO having copied Compress's Quirk for his own," Shigaraki spoke, "It's as if he has All for One itself...So I have the feeling he's still hiding something from us."
"So what exactly could he be hiding?" Dabi inquired.
"I don't know," Shigaraki responded, "But when I fought him, he seemed to be able to move away from my Decay. And, when I did touch him, he healed the effects of Decay quickly. So I think we're dealing with an All for One-ripoff or one of his experiments-gone-wrong who can hold onto multiple Quirks."
"Like that Nine guy?" Toga spoke.
"Yeah, something like that… but why would he be interested in gathering a grotesque army of Zombies and Vampires?"
"Because he's probably a Vampire himself," Toga interrupted, "I fought his younger self and he said he was a Vampire. But it seems the one you dealt with, Shigaraki, is on a whole different level."
"We'll see," he said, as he once again turned his attention to the street lights doused in the red moon. Despite what he would see later tonight, it wouldn't be the full capabilities of his co-ruler.
UA Campus, Outside 1-A Dorms
As the doors of the dorms opened wide, the students, in their Hero Costumes, ran out the door, ready for combat. Aizawa, Will, Joseph, and Caesar flanked the sides of this discipular phalanx to deal with the incoming Zombies and Vampires.
The students were using their Quirks and their combat abilities to destabilize and knock out the creatures which wreaked havoc upon the campus. Aizawa let his eyes glare red at as many menaces as he could directly see Some of the most notable fighters were Kirishima and Sato punching and kicking them in the face, Momo throwing small sticks of dynamite into sections where the Zombies were huddled, Shoto using his fire to melt most of the Zombies away, and Uraraka using a combination of her Quirk and the martial arts style taught to her by the Pro Hero Gunhead, under whom she trained.
For the Zombies and Vampires which escaped the Students' attacks, Will, Joseph, and Caesar finished them off with a flurry of Hamon attacks. Will's opponents suffered quick jabs and kicks, powerful and filled to the brim with Hamon. Caesar clapped his hands to form small soap bubbles which channeled his Hamon and small spherical holes in the places it burned. And Joseph...just kept throwing his clackers enough to make them act like a boomerang to come back to him.
From a bit of a distance, the students could hear a loud scream which sent some of the Zombies flying in all sorts of directions. However, it wasn't the scream of terror in dread a person in distress would yell. This scream was channeled, and much louder. Instead of an "AAAAAAH!" this was a scream filled with an objective: "GOOOOOOOOOOO AAAAAAAAAWWWWWAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!"
As the creatures launched into the sky, Aizawa could see Present Mic in a displeased state.
"Yamada!" Aizawa called out to his colleague, before Present Mic came running to his direction.
"What's the situation?" he asked.
"Not good," Present Mic responded, "A whole ton of these things overpowered the school's entrance security system. Hundreds of 'em! Nemuri and the others are holding off as many of them as they can, but it's not gonna be enough to get them off of campus and get onto the streets. Not to mention, they're tons of 'em on all the grounds! Beta, Gamma, USJ, these things are everywhere!"
"For now, we just need to focus on the ones blocking the entrance," Aizawa spoke, his cloth caught around another creature's torso, "Then we can send students to different parts of the ground, maybe some outside to meet up with Midoriya, Bakugo, and the others. But keeping the students safe is our top priority."
"Seems like you already had some help show up."
"Yeah. A Zombie broke into the dorms. That's when these guys showed up," Aizawa said, referencing the Zeppelis and Joseph, "These ones seem weaker, but compared to the one that attacked us, but they're still rather difficult to fight."
As their backs were turned, a large amount of sharp-toothed, flying Vampires had swarmed above the teachers. They were about to rain down on them, their nails pointed ready for the taste of blood.
"Look out!" a voice, sounding like Momo's, called out to her teachers, but there was no time to act. They were zooming downwards like kamikaze pilots, yearning for the thrill of battle.
However, the bloodlust from the vampires began to wane, as it was replaced by a calming sense of serenity. Unlike bloodlust, this serenity was visible in the form of a light, violet mist. The serenity overtook the Vampires as they collapsed to the ground and entered a peaceful state of slumber, despite all the chaos occurring around them.
The aroma could be traced back to a single source, with what seemed to be the exposed part of a female's arm. Other than that exposed area, a light, white clothing wrapped around the dashing and daring woman's figure, accentuating her chest and thighs. On the edges of her wrists sat broken handcuffs, which jingled every time she moved her arms. Around her stomach and waist is what seemed to be a corset, which only helped to show off her physique. Her lighter stockings met with her darker high heels met right underneath her kneecaps. Her black hair spiked and layered in all sorts of directions, while around her eyes sat a red mask.
"You boys gotta watch out!," She yelled in a loud, yet seductive voice.
"Nemuri…" Aizawa scowled under his breath in slight embarrassment of the line's delivery, "Thanks for that."
"Ms. Midnight!" Momo called out to Nemuri, clearing the menaces which stood in her way to get to her.
"Well if it isn't Creati," Midnight replied, before turning her eyes back on the campus which has turned into a battlefield. "Seems like a lot of these creatures showed up. You and the others handling them alright?"
"Yeah," Momo responded, "We can hold them off, but for how long I can't think right now."
"Oh my," another voice gawked at the two girls. It was Joseph, watching the two of them after Hamon punching a Zombie, "You're the legendary Midnight?" While dealing with another batch of Zombies, he said, "How about you and I grab a bite to eat once this whole deal's over with?"
"My, someone was excited to skip the formalities," Midnight said, in a more alluding tone than the one she presented before. That one second of distraction was enough for a Vampire to sneak up on Midnight, and grab her neck.
"Ms. Midnight!" Momo called out again, this time in fear. The Vampire let out a sinister cackle before speaking, "Well see how pretty she is once she's been turned to a rotten pile of flesh!"
Outside 1-B Dorms
(Author's Note: Again, for the sake of time (and words), I'm not going to give large explanations for some of the Class 1-B students. I'll give them small ones and their time to shine, but if you want to see a full description, check out the MHA Wiki. Thanks!)
While the Students from 1-A were dealing with the Zombies outside their Dorms, Class 1-B had to take care of the ones which stood nearby theirs.
The class's teacher, Vlad King, was the first to head outside, dosing the nearby Zombies, who were practically right outside their doors, with heavy amounts of blood that emerged from the tubes within his gloves. As the blood coalesced around the Zombies, it hardened, trapping them underneath. Their struggles were fairly useless, as it was difficult for them to break out.
One of the trapped Zombie's eyes was pitch black, but gave enough reflection to see that something was coming down, his hand curled into a fist, ready to strike. The frozen blood cracked as the force of the student Jurota Shishida crashed down upon the Zombie. To Shishida's right, Kendo's big fist also crushed the Zombie and blood underneath it.
As two more creatures came flying down at the group, a sharp set of blades cut through their abdomens, sending them down and out for the count. Those blades were not held, but rather derived from the arms of the sharp-tongued Togaru Kamakiri. He yelled out a slight battle cry before continuing on his path to cut down the other Zombies.
Meanwhile, some of the other students had to rest to full on hand-to-hand combat to deal with the other menaces walking around campus. The iron-headed Tetsutetsu had solidified his body into steel to pack a harder punch against these enemies, while the scaly and determined Haryu Rin used the scales across his arms to fight.
As Tetsutetsu was busy with his share of the Zombies, he felt a slight touch on his shoulder. It was Monoma's hand, as he said, "Don't mind if I borrow this!" Monoma's arm solidified into steel similar to Tetsutetsu's full body as the both of them punched the Zombies in front of them, sending them flying and damaged
"How many of these things are there?" Kendo questioned as she swung her big fist around.
"According to reports from Principal Nezu, we're dealing with about 2,000 on campus. Keep your guard up!" Vlad King responded, beginning to struggle to keep some of the creatures down.
While the Zombies were unable to break themselves of the hardened blood's grasp, the sharp-fanged Vampires were not only breaking free, but consuming the frozen blood. It might not have tasted good, but it was still blood.
"Damn!" Vlad King yelled, "Some of them are breaking loose!"
As the fighting continued, some purple portals began to show up across all parts of campus, especially near the dorms where the students were fighting. More Zombies and Vampires alike began to show up, while the other ones the Students took down began to heal themselves of their wounds and attack back.
"There's more of 'em!" the timid American, Pony Tsunotori, yelled, sending her horn cannons charging at these creatures.
"We're not gonna be able to hold all of them off!" Tetsutetsu responded. It seemed like these menaces would overpower Class 1-B, and the entire campus, turning the students into more lifeless corpses for these creatures of the night to feast on...it all seemed done for…
"CROSSFIRE HURRICANE!"
A large force of scalding fire quickly swept across the surrounding area. Initially in the shape of an ankh, the flames eventually spread out and caused all the Zombies and Vampires in the fire's vicinity to burn up and turn to ash. Though it was hot, the students didn't feel any burns on themselves whatsoever.
Kamakiri and Rin took a look in front of the entrance to find a small flame burning on the finger of a certain Hero and fortune teller. The flame extinguished itself as the man shook his finger forward and back as he made a sound: Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!
"Well would ya look at that!" Kamakiri shouted.
"Aren't you Mr. Avdol?" Rin yelled.
Avdol pointed his thumb towards himself before swiping it downward in front of himself while shouting,
"YES I AM!"
