Ch. 12

Outside Joestar Agency, 8 PM

After the exchange of pleasantries and banter, the conversation between Endeavor and the Joestar group shifted back to one of seriousness.

"Have you been able to locate Manual?" Jotaro asked.

"I'm afraid I haven't," Endeavor responded, "The Zombies haven't allowed me much time to look."

"Do you know if any other Heroes are fighting with the Zombies?"

"Yeah, a few of them were. There weren't a ton of them when I left, but I doubt they're all gone."

A bit of static came in from Jotaro's earpiece. On the other end of the line was a familiar voice.

Jotaro!

"Kakyoin, any updates?"

We haven't been able to locate Manual either, Kakyoin said, but we're picking up a large amount of Zombies a few blocks from here. Not to mention, several people are injured from subsequent attacks.

"In that case," Jotaro responded, "Send a few of our forces to take care of that area. Go with them, and bring Giorno and Josuke with you. The more help we can provide to the other heroes, the better."

On it! Kakyoin hung up as Jotaro turned his attention back to the group. Endeavor had been gazing his eyes on the long street ahead.

"Manual wasn't the only Hero I couldn't contact," he spoke, "Not to mention, some of my sidekicks were missing too. Were you able to track them?"

"We were," Jotaro responded, "But Manual was the only Hero we could definitely confirm how he disappeared."

"How so?"

"We believe that the League of Villains were responsible for this mass disappearance of Heroes," spoke Jonathan, "And they may have been cooperating with someone."

"If you're right about that," Endeavor spoke, his fingers stroking his chin, "Then that would explain their behavior. They're not ones to take individuals who have no purpose to them."

"Even so," Jonathan said, "There has to be a reason for them taking Pro Heroes as well as ordinary citizens."

As the conversation died down a little bit, someone could be seen exiting the doors of the Joestar Agency. Compared to the tall men like Jotaro and Endeavor, he was rather short. That being said, he possessed a similar shoulder build, and his outfit, seeming to be a school uniform, was a very rich and jade green. Clipped to his ears were earrings imitating the look of cherries, but his hair was a lighter shade of red. The most noticeable features of his hair were its fluffiness, as well as the long bang that twisted down on the side of his face. With a white tablet gripped firmly in his hand, he ran towards his allies as he called out, "Jotaro!"

"Kakyoin," Jotaro spoke to his friend, "Have you sent the dispatch?"

"Yeah," Kakyoin spoke, urgently pointing to the device in his hand, "The Green Dolphin Street Unit, and the Morioh Units are on their way. But something came up at UA."

"At UA?" Deku questioned, "What's going on?"

"Another army of zombies and vampires began invading campus," Kakyoin spoke, "We sent units to combat them too, but the number of undead in the area is too much for them to handle."

"In that case," Jotaro turned to two of the UA students, "Josuke, Giorno, go with Kakyoin. There are injured civilians that need to be taken care of."

"You can count on us," Giorno responded, which was met with Josuke's call of, "Right, we're on it!"

"And Joseph," Jotaro continued, "Go with them, and then head over to UA Campus to help in any way you can. Lisa Lisa and the rest should be over there by now."

"Sounds like a plan," Joseph affirmed, "Well then, what are we waiting for?"

"Let's go!" Kakyoin motioned by swiping his hand in the air towards him, "Follow me." The four of them ran off, until they turned the street corner, and moved past the buildings.

When they were out of sight, Jotaro turned his attention back to the group left with him. Endeavor's face sported a tone of concern and discontent.

"You mean to tell me those things managed to overpower UA's security system?" He spoke

"That's right," Jotaro reaffirmed, fixing his hat, "These may be weaker individually, but acting as a group under one leader, they're difficult to beat."

A loud snarl could be heard from the other side of the street, as more portals began to swirl and increase in size. From within, more Zombies and Vampires emerged, stronger than the last round that came before.

"There's more of them!" Jonathan called out, "Get ready!" As the group locked on to their enemies ahead.

UA, Main Entrance

Page and Plant had their eyes locked on their targets, ready to strike and deliver doom. The students of UA, though showing their enemies courage and determination, were held internally hostage by fear. Although some like Mineta were willing to show it.

"Righty-o then", Page commanded, "Surrender willingly, and we'll make sure your conversions go smoothly."

"But put up a fight," Plant retorted, "and we'll make your deaths painful and excruciating."

From the top of their head, long, red veins began to emerge, almost as if they were rapid-growing follicles. They began to twist and turn in all sorts of directions before they were released from the head which bore them and attached themselves to the broken entrance gate from which they entered.

"Hah!" Plant exclaimed, "Now that the exit's sealed…"

"There's nowhere for you to run!" Page said, readying another round of veins to attack the group. This time, as the veins stuck to the head from which they originated, but retained the same flexible properties as before.

They lurched forward, aiming towards the necks of the students and teachers. But these veins did not last long as a toss of Zeppeli's checkered hat, the whip of Lisa Lisa's scarf, a barrage of Caesar's bubbles, and a toss of Joseph's clackers were filled with Hamon, amounts enough to snap the vessels which lacked blood in half.

"Ah yes, I remember hearing about you," William spoke as his hat came back to him, "You are some of the actors who appeared on the stage after the cane had yanked me off it." He walked towards the Zombies in an interesting way: his back leaned, one of his hands on his hips, and the other swaying from side to side.

"Oh yeah," Page said, "Now that you mention it...I remember! Tarkus sliced your whole body in half!"

"We weren't there to see it," Plant followed up, "But hearing it from Lord Dio was music to our ears!" Plant received a hard slap from Lisa Lisa's red scarf, the Hamon crackling on its edges. Plant's cheek was slightly burned, but it wasn't enough to fully eviscerate it.

Lisa Lisa snapped the scarf back around her neck as she too moved forward, providing more to this conversation amongst Undead and Living alike.

"I too heard tales about you," she spoke, "Straizo mentioned how he beat you two and two others all at once, with nothing but a chandelier."

"But it matters not, does it?" Page snapped back.

"Thanks to Lord Dio's blessing," Plant said as the sore on his cheek healed itself up, "We were able to come back, and serve our master once more. And now we present you with the same opportunity!"

"All this young blood in the crowd contains massive potential," Page continued, "It's so wasted on saving the masses, when it could be used for so much more!" The two Zombies cackled as another figure from the Hero side walked up, dressed in shining white metal, with boosters on the side, and a helmet with small holes, through which he could enunciate clearly.

"If you're done with introductions", he spoke, "then I suppose I should introduce myself. I am Tenya Iida, Class 1-A President. And as its President, and as a Hero, I must see that you intruders are dealt with properly!" He dashed forward towards Page, stopping right in front of him at such a great speed that, despite undead reflexes, was not enough to react to the intense kick which followed suit. The force from the kick was enough to knock Page's body onto Plant's and send them both flying to the side, thus not obstructing the entrance.

"Now's the time!" Iida shouted, "Let's get to the other sides of campus and help the teachers out!"

"Vlad," Aizawa said, "Send half of your students to Grounds Beta and Gamma. I'll send some of mine with you. Hizashi, go with them. Nemuri and I wil handle the rest here."

"Right," Vlad and Present Mic responded. "Ok Class, follow me!" Vlad King shouted towards his Students.

"Uravity, Creati, Froppy, Ingenium, Shoto, Red Riot, Okuyasu, Fugo," Nemuri called, "Stay here and help us take care of these guys! Everyone else, go with Vlad King and Present Mic and you'll receive further instructions from there!"

The students made haste, barely giving time to provide a response back.

"Joseph, stay here and help me dispatch these two," Lisa Lisa instructed, "Will, Caesar, take care of the other two."

"Understood mia amica," Will said, "Caesar, come on!"

"Right!" Caesar affirmed, moving with the rest of the group.

"Avdol, let's go with them," Polnareff suggested.

"Very well then," Avdol returned the statement, and the two of them followed suit.

Soon, all who remained in front of the vein-blocked entrance were four Heroes, eight Students, and two Zombies. But these numbers would be insignificant to the lives that would play a part of tonight's usherance of a new era.

Outskirts of the City

On a highway entering the city, a oil tanker driver drove, letting the calming red sky soothe some of his fears. He was listening to a few nice tunes on the radio, when an announcement came up to interrupt this peace.

BREAKING NEWS, the station reported, Thousands of Zombies have shown up in the city. This comes after numerous people suddenly went missing this morning. Roads entering or exiting the city have been closed off to limit the amount of possible escapees-

The trucker driver turned the radio off, trying to remain calm in the midst of this stress.

"Great," he began to ramble, "I'm gonna have to take an alternative route. Now this shipment isn't gonna get there on time, and my boss is gonna yell at me, and I'm gonna get fired, lose the apartment, and WHAT THE HECK IS-"

Once the driver turned his attention fully back on the road, he saw a bright, glowing, yellow mass moving rapidly right in his direction. As he yelled out to question the object, his windshield had been broken, and he lost control of the wheel and his mind immediately afterwards. All he now saw was the emptiness of space, one without fears or anxieties, before moving to a white space full of peace, tranquility… and subservience.
