A/N : Hello, hello, hello. I am your beloved . . . Count *Looks At Nametag* MrWritingMan.

That's right, when I last left you, I was known as WhenFandomsUnite, but now I have become MrWritingMan, assuming that actually works with me for once.

So, I know that it's been a while, but this time, I don't really have an excuse. I just got lazy, and I kept making excuses to myself, telling myself that I'd do this later, that I'd get this started soon, but . . . it didn't. And then, I was watching the new season of MHA, and then I thought of a great idea for the future of this story that I wanted to implement, and so I began to write again.

Also, something of a fairly small announcement, I am rewriting the past chapters in order to better suit my narrative going forward, and hopefully removing a lot of the cringe that I've seen while reviewing the earlier chapters.

Reviews :

Bauers374 : That's true, but every Spiderman story needs to kill off Uncle Ben in some way! Haha, but seriously, I actually did this for a purpose that will become clear in the next chapter. However, I will tell you this - Uncle Ben was possibly closer to Izuku than anyone else due to a certain trait that both of them shared.

PEJP BengtZone V2 : I already messaged you in PM's, but I thought that I'd make it clear here :

This is a fanfiction, and so I feel like the timeline can be fairly flexible if need be. Also, dystopian? Maybe there's something in the Manga, but as far as I know it's fairly 1 : 1 with our world plus superpowers.

Thanks, for complimenting me on making Izuku a QIC, but I'm not going to make him subconsciously remember the formula for the web-fluid.

They aren't. Something that I will make a bit clearer in my rewrite.

SpectacularSpidey : Thanks! I hope you like this chapter as well. It only took me . . . a year since you reviewed it. *Chuckles Nervously* Anyway . . .

Disclaimer : I do not own either Spiderman or My Hero Academia/Boku no hero.

"Hey Izuku, who do you think'll show up to teach today?" Hanta Sero asked him. "I mean, your dad - he's great and all - but he's gotta be way too beat up to teach, right? No offence meant, dude."

Izuku turned to him with a deadpan look gracing his face as the door began to slide open. "You underestimate the stubbornness and illogical sensibilities of an educator."

The door finished sliding, revealing his father, wrapped up in an impressive amount of bandages; enough that he looked more like a mummy than the pro-hero he was in actuality. "Woah, Mr. Aizawa! Are you sure you should be teaching today, in your condition?" Ejiro asked, scratching the back of his neck nervously.

"Yeah, shouldn't you be recovering in the hospital right now?" Mina asked, jumping into the conversation.

It's illogical for a pro-hero to let such a small inconvenience hamper, or otherwise affect his work. "It is illogical for a pro-hero to let such a small inconvenience hamper, or otherwise affect my work." At his correct guess, Izuku let out a sigh, rubbing his temples. It really was too early to listen to his father talk about devotion.

"Such work ethic!" Tenya cried, gesturing with his arms jerkily. "As such befitting the legendary status of U.A's teachers!"

This isn't work ethic! Izuku thought, still frustrated with his father's decision to return to work so soon after getting injured. This is just pure stubbornness! The heights of irrationality!

"Quiet down class," his father demanded in his monotone voice, raising his hand. Quickly, the class rushed to comply, and once they were all quiet and seated, he began to speak. "Now, all of you might be inclined to relax and recover from the attack at USJ, but your struggles aren't nearly over yet."

Inside everyone's heads, they collectively cried out, What now?! More villains? A fight against the government? WHAT?

"U.A's Sports Festival will begin in about two weeks time!" The entire class, Izuku included, let out a sigh of relief, thinking, Just another normal school activity. "This Sports Festival is broadcast to the entire nation, along with certain foreign nations. Naturally, there will be several thousand heroes watching each of you specifically. As such, this is your first opportunity to make an impression on the world of heroics." Eraserhead looked them each in the eye, before continuing, "Most of the world has their eyes on you all after USJ. Don't disappoint them."

There was a moment of silence as every student attempted to deal with this information; some, like Ochako were extremely nervous, others, like Katsuki, were fired up and ready to go, while the rest were somewhere between the two on the emotional spectrum.

"Due to this," he continued, "U.A is allowing you all two weeks of break for individual practice and study in order to prepare yourselves. Now," Eraserhead looked at Yuga and Izuku specifically, "if your fighting style or quirk requires the usage of a support item, you must fill out an application for the principal, who reserves the right to deny usage at his discretion. Come meet with me after school if you wish to submit the application." His father waited for a few moments for questions, before sighing lightly and beginning his lesson.

So, you're sure you're alright Izuku?" Ochako asked, looking at him sceptically. "You don't look too well."

"I concur Izuku. You look more depressed than usual," Tenya agreed, adding his two cents into the interrogation.

"No, I'm fine guys," he reassured. "Just a little sad that Harry won't be able to join us for the Festival." Harry would have to heal his bones naturally, as his father refused to let someone use their healing quirk on his son, even Recovery Girl after she healed his bones enough for them to heal naturally.

"Oh . . . yeah," Ochako stated, frowning slightly as she sadly realized the further consequences of the attack.

"So . . . why's his dad-" Tenya began, before being interrupted.

"YOUNG AIZAWA IS HERE!" All Might yelled out, appearing suddenly from around the corner and pointing towards Izuku.

"AI!" Izuku cried out, jumping into the air as his friends turned to him. He blushed and rubbed his neck sheepishly, "Sorry. I don't get surprised very often, so . . . yeah."

Ochaco nodded sympathetically, patting his shoulder lightly as All Might coughed and began to speak again. "AH, ER, YES. I APOLOGISE YOUNG AIZAWA, BUT I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU." Izuku was surprised when directly after the statement, All Might pulled out a lunch-box from apparently nowhere and asked, "WANNA HAVE LUNCH TOGETHER?"

Shocked, Izuku looked towards his friends, who both eagerly nodded, before reaching over and pinching himself on the arm. Is this a dream?! All Might, the greatest hero in the world and my personal idol, wants to have lunch with me?! "Obvious- er, sorry. Yes, I would very much like to do so," he stated, bowing even lower than Tenya did.

Beaming, All Might led Izuku away from the hallway and towards the heroes office, seating him down on one of the small couches that existed inside the office. Besides the couches, the room was very bare, with no posters or wallpaper, the only thing that really was there was a small picture of All Might with several people, most notably a blonde male and female, the former being much older than the latter, presumably All Might's former partner David Shield and his daughter.

"NOW, YOUNG AIZAWA," All Might began, startling Izuku out of his thoughts and observations, "YOU'RE PROBABLY WONDERING WHY I'VE ASKED YOU HERE." All Might sat down on the other couch, his frame looking impressively large in contrast, earning a large groan from said seating. "NOW, I'VE DECIDED TO SPEAK TO YOU AND GIVE YOU BOTH AN OPPORTUNITY AND SOME ADVICE."

All Might looked Izuku in the eyes, his gaze burning into Izuku's soul. "YOUNG AIZAWA, YOU ARE ABOUT TO LEARN OF A SECRET KNOWN ONLY TO VERY FEW. I TRUST THAT YOU REALIZE THE GRAVITY OF THIS SECRET I AM ABOUT TO IMPART TO YOU. THE SECRET OF MY QUIRK; ONE FOR ALL!"

"One for All?" Izuku muttered lowly, his mind reeling. He was about to learn something that the media had speculated and asked about for years.

"YES, ONE FOR ALL, A SACRED TORCH, PASSED DOWN FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION, FROM HAND TO HAND. IT TAKES THE STRENGTH THAT ONE PERSON HAS, AND STORES IT ALONGSIDE THAT OF THE PREVIOUS USERS, MULTIPLYING IT FOR THE USE OF THE NEXT USER. AND YOUNG AIZAWA, I'M ASKING YOU TO BECOME MY SUCCESSOR, MY PROTEGE, THE 9TH HOLDER OF ONE FOR ALL!"

Izuku looked at him blankly, his facial expression indecipherable, before his head tilted to the side in confusion. "One for All? A quirk that can be transferred from person to person, stockpiling power," he muttered lowly. "This sort of thing hasn't ever been proven to exist, or even to power or exchange . . . quirks." He trailed off as he was struck with an idea. One that chilled him to the bone. All for One has the power. Stealing and distributing quirks . . . damn it.

"One for All . . . it has something to do with All for One, right?"

All Might's back straightened and his body tensed as, for the first time in the conversation, he was caught off guard. "W-W-WHAT?!" He spluttered, red spittle exiting his mouth at a high velocity. All Might grabbed a tissue and wiped the small drops of water from his chin, his eyes never once leaving Izuku's as they smoldered. "YOUNG AIZAWA, HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT NAME?"

Izuku shifted uncomfortably under All Might's gaze, suddenly intimidated by both his strength and the overall size difference between them. Still, he let out a shuddering breath and summoned all of his courage, before saying, "All for One was my father's quirk."

". . . OH." All Might was struck dumb by this knowledge, silent as he looked over Izuku once more, noticing the little similarities between the father and son; the dark green hair, eye color, and a couple other minor details. "WELL," he coughed slightly, clearing his throat, "TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, YES; ALL FOR ONE SPAWNED ONE FOR ALL. EVER SINCE ITS CREATION, THE TWO POWERS HAVE BATTLED." All Might relaxed a little, leaning back on the couch. "NOW, I'LL ASK AGAIN - WILL YOU BECOME MY SUCCESSOR, YOUNG AIZAWA?"

Izuku was visibly shocked, taken aback at how the man, who had openly stated that All for One was essentially his nemesis, still offered him this power. "Huh?! Why? Why me? I could give you nearly a dozen reasons why you should throw me in jail, let alone gift me your power!"

"AND I COULD GIVE A HUNDRED REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD RECEIVE IT," All Might rebutted, before softening his voice slightly. "YOUNG AIZAWA, THIS ISN'T A DECISION I CAN MAKE LIGHTLY. I'VE BEEN WATCHING, WAITING FOR A SUCCESSOR, THE PERFECT SUCCESSOR, AND YOU ARE HIM! YOU'VE GOT A GOOD HEAD ON YOUR SHOULDERS AND YOU ARE OBSERVANT ON TOP OF THAT. YOU HAVE SHOWN YOURSELF TO BE SELFLESS, THROWING YOUR BODY AT AN ENEMY THAT YOU KNEW YOU COULDN'T BEAT SO THAT YOUR FELLOW STUDENTS COULD ESCAPE WITH YOUR FATHER. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT I'VE SEEN THE PASSION YOU VIEW SAVING OTHERS WITH, AND YOU'VE THE WILL TO MATCH THAT PASSION. YOUNG AIZAWA, YOU ARE WORTHY! I WILL ASK YOU ONCE MORE; WILL YOU ACCEPT ONE FOR ALL, TO BECOME ITS HOLDER UNTIL THE TIME COMES TO PASS IT ON?"

This time, Izuku had no words, and no rebuttals; instead he just stood and bowed, lower than even Tenya could bend. His eyes began to water and he cried out, "THANK YOU!"

All Might just smiled and waited for the sobs to subside, before he said, "YOUNG AIZAWA, I'M GLAD THAT YOU'VE ACCEPTED MY OFFER, BUT NOW ISN'T THE TIME FOR GRATITUDE. THERE'LL BE PLENTY OF TIME FOR THAT WHEN YOU'VE ACTUALLY GAINED IT, BUT NOW IS THE TIME TO TRAIN YOUR BODY; TRAIN IT SO THAT ONE FOR ALL DOESN'T RIP YOUR ARMS, LEGS, AND HEAD OFF."

"Huh?!" Izuku cried out, "I thought you said I was-"

"I SAID YOU WERE WORTHY. EVEN IF YOU WERE ABSURDLY FAT OR UNHEALTHILY SKINNY, YOU WOULD BE WORTHY, BUT ONE FOR ALL CONTAINS SO MUCH POWER FROM MY PREDECESSORS AND I THAT IF YOUR BODY ISN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO HANDLE IT . . . LET'S JUST SAY THAT ANY UNTRAINED BODY COULDN'T HANDLE IT. (AND THEY WOULDN'T LAST LONG AFTERWARDS)." All Might looked him over quickly. "FROM WHAT I CAN SEE, YOU'RE ALMOST THERE, BUT YOU STILL NEED SOMETHING TO PUSH THE NEEDLE."

Izuku nodded. "I see, so we'll be training the next couple of weeks, between now and the Sports Festival, right?"

All Might nodded. "WE WILL BEGIN OUR TRAINING TOMORROW MORNING." Suddenly, Izuku stiffened. "WHAT IS IT, YOUNG AIZAWA?"

Izuku gulped, before saying, "I was planning to work with my dad over the break."

All Might quirked an eyebrow and asked, "CAN YOU NOT SIMPLY REJECT HIS OFFERS?"

"I could, but he'd want my reasons for doing so and I can't lie for my life. And he wouldn't accept any excuses involving his injuries either." Izuku frowned, before stating, "I think we need to tell him about One for All and you training me."

All Might spluttered for a moment, a steam cloud forming around him, before he sighed and stated, "I SUPPOSE YOU KNOW YOUR FATHER BETTER THAN I DO, AND IT IS YOUR SECRET NOW."

Suddenly, the steam parted as All Might spoke, revealing a gaunt, almost skeletal man with blonde hair. "A-All Might! You're deflating!" All Might sighed as he launched into an explanation.

Shouta Aizawa was understandably both annoyed and slightly saddened. "So you're telling me that all those months that I've spent teaching you how to use your agility and webs like I do are wasted? Because the Number One hero offered you his quirk?"

Izuku looked affronted and immediately responded, "What? No!" He placed his fingers against one another as he continued, "There will always be a need for strength and power in this world, but there will also likewise be a need for speed and agility; you can't punch every problem and hope it goes away. Besides," Izuku made a fist and looked at it solemnly, "if what All Might has said is right, then this power will be powerful enough to destroy an entire city block, at least. Any person nearby would die, let alone the person I'm fighting. Until I learn control, I can't actually use it unless it is in practice, alone and far away from anyone else." Izuku stood up and raised his fist high. "Dad, I promise that I will never forget what you taught me. I need this power in order to help as many people as possible, and I need your lessons in order to do the same."

All Might stared at him from the side in shock, as Shouta clapped slowly. "Nice speech 'Zuku," he commented, smiling under his bandages. "Now, go and let me eat something before lunch is over. And All Might . . ." The man turned to face Izuku's father, before freezing. The killing aura surrounding the mummy-man was even greater than that of most villains. "We'll talk about this soon. Got it?"

"Y-YES SIR!"

"Hey, class prez?" Ejiro Kirisihima called from the doorway. Izuku stopped packing his stuff into his backpack and turned to him, who continued, "I think you ought to deal with this!"

Immediately, he got up and moved over to Ejiro and looked out the doorway, seeing a large group of people crowding the Class 1-A Classroom. Huh. Well, this isn't a coincidence at all, he thought sarcastically. Out of the corner of his mouth, he muttered, "Keep Katsuki occupied." Ejiro nodded and re-entered the classroom as he attempted to summon a smile. "H-hello." The mob just looked back at him, clearly confused as he asked, "What do you need with Class 1-A?"

A slightly smaller boy, about Tenya's height, with purple hair and dark eyebags stepped forward and declared, "We all came to see the famous Class 1-A, who fought vil-"

"Are we related?" Izuku blurted out suddenly, not being able to keep his thoughts inside. The other boy stopped talking and tilted his head.

"Huh?"

Shit! Izuku chuckled lightly, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "Sorry, You just look like . . . well, you have as many eyebags as my dad."

". . . Anyways, we came to see if 1-A lived up to the hype. And, I must say, for beating up the villains, you certainly don't live up to expectations."

This time it was Izuku's turn to tilt his head. "Beating? We were outnumbered, and one of the villains needed All Might to actually beat him. Some of us were broken, and a teacher was injured. An actual pro." His smile tightened marginally, and his head straightened. "We didn't 'beat' anyone; we only just managed to survive."

"Out of my way Shitty Hair!" Izuku sighed out and covered his face with a hand as Katsuki burst through the doorway. Wow, as soon as I say that, the most prideful and angry member of the class walks into a volatile situation. God, why do you hate me? Katsuki scoffed as he looked at the crowd and said, "Ah. So these extras are scouting out the biggest competition, huh. Well," he called out, "get lost! You won't learn crap about us!" He stormed off as the mob erupted into angry shouting.

"Extras?!"

"I guess 1-A really does think they're better than us!"

"I knew that tired-looking broccoli boy was a fake!"

Broccoli . . . boy? Izuku frowned, before waving his hand dismissively as Ejiro attempted to apologise. "It's fine." He poked his head into the classroom through the doorway. "Go ahead and leave, guys. I'll handle this."

As his classmates exited the classroom, murmuring goodbyes and wishing him luck, he turned back to the mob as the boy with the purple hair said, "Huh. I guess you're all talk. Anyways, the rumor floating up the chain is that if a student does well enough in the Sports Festival, they'll be moved up into the hero course - taking the place of either a 1-A or 1-B student."

Izuku nodded. "Thanks, that's nice to know. So, I'll let you all in on a little bit of knowledge as well." He stared into the purple haired guy's eyes with an indomitable will and fiery passion as he said, "My classmates all fought for and earned their spots in the Heroics Program, and they will sure as hell fight to keep it." With that, he left.
