A/N : Hey, guys! As I've gone back to edit all the chapters, I've noticed several things that I HATE about this story. And unfortunately, I can't think of a way for me to write my way out of the hole I've gotten myself into with this story. So, it is with deep sorrow and regret that I state that my time writing this story is over.
I've grown a lot as I've written this story; for instance, I learned that I need to take more time as I develop my stories. I've already begun to do this for my other story, The Last Alchemist, along with another story that I'm writing. I also couldn't quite merge the personalities of Peter Parker & Izuku Midoriya smoothly, and I forced the relationship between Izuku and Ochako too much, something that I'm working on as well. Another thing I learned was that at some point, you need to diverge from canon; all the events I wrote about all occurred almost exactly the same as in canon, and I made no plans to change things anytime soon, so it became boring for both you all and I.
However, I wanted to clear up two things that I've seen questioned in the reviews, along with a few PMs that have been sent to me.
First : The inclusion of Juliet as Shouta Aizawa's wife & Izuku's mother.I made the decision to replace perhaps a better partner in-universe with Juliet for several reasons.
To begin, it would enable the friendship of Izuku and Harry; having a mother that spoke fluent english would incentivise Izuku to learn it, and since Harry would have come over from America to Japan, not knowing Japanese all that well, then Harry might latch onto the only person able to understand him; Izuku.
Secondly, it would tie Uncle Ben to Izuku, giving him a role model without a quirk to look up to and take inspiration from. In addition to my personal belief that every Spider-man needs an Uncle-Ben-experience to begin their journey, I also think that Spider-man needs to have someone to look up to and learn from as they grow up.
Lastly, I was planning on using Shigaraki to deal another blow to him, killing her off, along with Rose while he was busy during the Sports Festival. I couldn't have done that with a pro-hero like Midnight or Ms. Joke, as they likely could deal with Shigaraki long enough for some hero to arrive and aid them.
Second : My version of Izuku was never intended to be dark/edge-y/etc. He isn't Batman for goodness' sake! I'm sorry if some of you didn't expect that, but to me Spider-man, no matter the version, would always crack a witty joke and endure whatever trial as well as they could. So, making a Bat-Spider fanfiction would never gel with me, and I'd hate it as I wrote it.
Again, I'm so sorry that you all never got to see the end of the story. I tried to fight through my hate for this story's direction for you all, but I simply could never write anything worth delivering to you all. I tried my best, but now it's time to let this story die; perhaps I'll see you in a different story someday. I hope you have a good day, week, month, and life! Bye-bye!
