Chapter 1: December in Big Bark Woods

It was December in Littlebark Grove. A good portion of folks had their families visiting Littlebark for the holiday or left to go visit their families elsewhere. Regardless though, it was super festive across not just Littlebark, but Big Bark Woods as a whole.

In No Bark Fields, Harvey, Fee, Foo, Dade, Mikey, Piri, Claire, and Princess were having a snowball fight. They were split into teams. Harvey, Fee, Foo, and Claire on one side. On the other, was Dade, Mikey, Piri, and Princess. They weren't really in competition and were just doing it for fun. Dade tried to throw as many snowballs at the twins as he could and tried to avoid throwing snowballs at Harvey. Meanwhile, the twins tried to throw as many snowballs at Dade as they could. Princess just threw snowballs at every one, regardless of what teams they were on.

"We're on the same team Princess!" Mikey said in annoyance. "Being on teams is boring!" she shouted in her usual manner, "It's more fun to throw snowballs at everyone!" After some time, they decided to stop and call it a day. "Good game guys," Harvey said, as he and his friends went back to their homes.

In the center of Littlebark, business was booming as many folks were buying presents for their loved ones. Store after store was filled with customers to the point where they were out the door! Everything was almost out of stock and the cash registers could barely fit anymore cash! Many of the cashiers worked their hardest despite how exhausted they really were. It certainly was the time for shopping no doubt.

There was an individual who walked around one of the stores who stuck out from the rest. He was a Cardinal who wore a black peacoat, a grey shirt underneath, and jeans. He surveyed everything as much as he could without looking suspicious. When he was done, he got into the passenger side of a grey jeep. An albino Skunk who wore a grey hoodie and sun glasses asked, "You got a good look at store number 8?" "Sure did homie," the Cardinal said as he explained the layout and where the registers were. "The boss will be very pleased," the albino Skunk replied, "Now that we got a good idea of these 8 stores and their layouts, we must head back to base in order to make plans."
