Author's Note: I made a change to the ending of it because I discovered a few potential plot holes or somethings along the lines. I would like to thank the reader and reviewer named kiosquedrlaim who helped me see these plot holes and make my story a little better.

Peter was at his favorite hot-dog stand this night, feeling like he was on top of the world. It has been a while since he had a great time, and to make it better, it was with his new friend Gwen Stacy.

"Now, where do I go from here?" He asked himself, stumped.

Then, he was getting a phone call from a private number. Peter knew it was Captain George Stacy and in response, he answered it, beginning to ask "Hey, what's up?"

"Good news kid, we have a lead on Arron Davis," Captain Stacy began to say. "We were looking for possible leads on him when we found his contacts and he has a few known ones, including his boss that sent him to buy the weapons in the first place,"

"And that would be?"

"His name is William Russo," He informed the kid. "We heard that he is having a weapons auction tonight in 30 minutes at a casino called, "The Deposit of Diamonds."

"Isn't that place privately owned by Norman Osborn?" Peter asked him.

"It appears to be," He told him. "We don't know if he's involved, but we need you to find Arron Davis in the building and, if possible, find some evidence on his boss."

"Okay, I'm on my way now."

"And don't let Yui get to you, she's just very stubborn and it's hard for her to trust someone your age." Captain Stacy told him, hanging up the phone.

Spider-Man sighed at the fact that she still doesn't trust him and began to make his way over there by web-swinging on nearby towering buildings and/or simple houses using simple yet calculated park-our.

A black SUV is seen driving into the parking lot of the casino, where a man was seen. He made Spider-Man's eyes go wide as he saw Norman Osborn there.

Norman Osborn has brown hair, green eyes, and a look of impatience was on his face. Two men in stunning black suits are guarding his front and Arron Davis stood there, clearly nervous.

Out of the van came three guards, carrying black briefcases for each man, and was seen watching out for a good-looking man with smooth hair that was combed back, but with dark red eyes that looked as if you were looking at the devil.

"Norman," The man exclaimed fondly. "Thank you for opening your doors to us!"

"My pleasure Mr. Russo, and I thought this would be a great time to discuss our business plans."

After hearing that, he then told his gang, "Theodore, Argus, keep the car running. Williams, inside with me. Now!"

The two guards did as they were told and went back in the car, while the guard called Williams hurried inside.

Across the street, Captain George Stay and his partner Yui Watanabe are in a black 2015 Stalker Chevrolet, where Stacy had a pair of binoculars, clearly observing the scene.

"So, Norman Osborn is involved in William Russo's criminal gang," Captain Stacy stated as he put his binoculars in the glove compartment.

"Not surprised," Yui told him. "Most billionaires are stuck-up bastards with secret lives."

"I know the feeling," He told his partner, thinking of Tony Stark.

Yui turned on her comm set. "Webs, you in position?"

Spider-Man is seen outside, sticking on the walls of the Casino, where he is ready to open a glass windowpane that will lead him into an office.

"Making my way inside," Spider-Man whispered over the comm.

"Be careful and do not ruin this for us, kid," Yui told him.

"Yui, tough love isn't going to help his confidence right now." Her partner told him.

"It will prevent him from failing," Yui sternly told him.

Captain Stacy gave up and just laid back in his seat.

We are in the casino, where it has been closed early to have this private time to talk. The man from the parking lot, who is William Russo, is seated at the bar with a scotch on the rocks in his hand and Norman Osborn was standing in the Bar's station where the drinks are served.

"See here Billy-" He stopped himself and gave him a cold smile. "I can call you that, right?"

"No," Russo told him.

"The New York City Police Departments," Norman began to say as he took his exit from the Bar's station and sat on a bar sofa. "have learned about the weapons caches and are prepared to open a case regarding them."

Russon looked mildly surprised, but stated, "As unfortunate as the news sounds, the NYPD haven't been able to successfully arrest the manufacturers."

"George Stacy and his partner are leading the case and have convinced The Spider-Man to get in the way."

This made Russo look directly at Norman Osborn. He dropped his drink on the floor in frustration, making it break on the ground, and exclaim, "Who told you of this?"

Norman directed his attention towards Arron Davis and said, "I sent him to get us a few firearms for future jobs that require a bit more finesse, but Spider-Man cornered him. He was lucky to get away."

William Russo stood there, a little worried about the situation brought to him. He then told Russo, "I'll contact Vulture and tell him that this Spider-Man may present a problem."

"Are you sure you want him to solve our problem?"

"It's his problem as much as it is our problem and sometimes you need a freak to deal with a freak."

Arron Davis then uncomfortably told Osborn, "Sir, I'll be right back?"

Norman just nodded and continued the conversion.

Back with Spider-Man, he was looking through the office desk and found a few weapons order papers and that's when he saw a shadow from behind the door making its way down the hall.

Spider-Man opened the door in a crack and he saw Arron Davis. He slowly walked up to Arron, not knowing that he was behind him. He covered Davis' mouth and whispered, "In the office, we need to talk."

Aaron Davis, spooked, followed him back in the office.

Spider-Man sat down in the office chair, put his feet on the desk, and said, "Mr. Davis, I need information on the weapons and you are going to give it to me now."

Davis then pointed a pistol at him, gaining some kind of courage against the arachnid. Spider-Man then leaped on the table and was ready to dodge the bullets.

"Shh, my bosses are here! Do you want to get shot at?!" Davis said in a harsh whisper.

Spider-Man has now decided to change tactics because he knows that threatening the guy who has a gun is not going to get him anywhere.

"Look man, these guys are selling weapons that are crazy dangerous and no one else is going to do anything about it. That's why I need your help."

"And why in god's name would I jeopardize my career to help you out?" He whispered angrily.

"Dude, I saved you from being shot, you owe me one!" Spider-Man told him while still whispering.

That piece of truth hit Davis hard, resorting to pause for a moment, and finally, he put the gun down on the table and asked, "What do you want from me?"

"I need to know who's selling this stuff," Spider-Man sighed in relief. "And while we're on the subject, what can you tell me about the guy with the wings?"

"Only that he's a psychopath that looks like a demon, I don't know. I don't know who he is or where he is," He whispered towards Spider-Man.

Spider-Man lowered his head as Davis continued, "But I do know where he's going to be,"

Spider-Man raised his head and quickly asked, "Where?"

Before he could answer, the guard named Williams came in and spoke.

"Davis, the boss wants to know where-" He stopped mid-sentence as he saw Spider-Man on the desk. "Holy."

Spider-Man stands to face him, webbing Arron Davis to the ceiling right before the guard opens fire at him with his gun.

'Webs, what's going on in there?' Yui asked him over the comm.

"Things are getting sidetracked, hold on!" Spider-Man shouted as he heard Yui sigh over the comm.

He then kicked the weapon out of Willam's hand. The guard then pulled a pocket knife out of his pants pocket and began to slash at Spider-Man, but the vigilante grabbed his arm before he could make the move and threw him through the door.

Then from the hallway, William Russo came out and opened fire at Spidey. One bullet was fired into Spider-Man's hip as he swung, making him fall and roll on the floor.

He winced in pain as William Russo came in and exclaimed, "Call off the search party everyone! It appears that our Friendly Neighbor dared to come to us."

He was carrying a suitcase and pulled out a submachine gun, pointing it directly at Spider-Man's face.

But, Spider-Man gathered his strength, put a hand on the side where it was shot, and tripped Russo's legs, dropping him to the ground and finally kicking him down on his back.

Spider-Man then swung back into the office and ran to Arron Davis, who was stuck on the ceiling by his webs.

"You okay, sir?" Spidey asked politely.

"Yeah, but was sticking me to the ceiling necessary?" He asked him, annoyed.

"It worked, didn't it?" Spider-Man asked him. "Now, back to our conversation, where is he going to be?"

"The Staten Island Ferry tommorow at 11 P.M."

"Thanks, that's going to dissolve in two hours," Spidey told him.

"No, no, no, no! Come fix this!" Aaron attempted to command.

"You deserve that, you're a criminal," Spider-Man told him as he jumped down the ceiling and made his way towards the window. "By, mister criminal!"

Before he could take his leave, all of Osborn's men came into the office and opened fire on the young man. Spider-Man quickly flipped the office table on the ground, turning it into a barricade and after a while of hiding, Spider-Man got an idea out of this.

"Keep him, alive gentlemen! I want this miserable brat killed by my hands!" Yelled Norman Osborn who came on the scene and just started firing a pistol at the table.

As they were firing, Spider-Man fired two webs at the walls and was beginning to launch himself and the desk at the goons, and after he got enough potential energy, he did hurl both himself and the desk at the goons and the Norman.

The desk was small enough to fit through the door, making it crash into three goons, putting them unconscious.

Osborn fired his gun, but Spider-Man slapped the gun out of his hand, leaped on the wall, and to finish him off, he struck a powerful punch at Norman.

After that problem was dealt with, he was running towards the front door, but slipped and fell on the floor.

He soon realized, to his confusion, that the floor had about two gallons of gasoline on the floor and Willaim Russon was seen with a match in his hand.

"Are you crazy, you'll kill us all!" Spider-Man exclaimed, wide-eyed.

"In case you didn't notice, I'm closer to the exit!" He yelled as he let go of the match.

"No!" Spider-Man shouted.

The match landed on the floor and a fire broke out. The building began to be filled with smoke. Not only does Spider-Man have to dodge pillars that were falling from the roof and broken glass, but now he was forced to dodge bullets being fired by a submachine gun and it was being fired by William Russo who started this ghastly fire.

Spider-Man finally got the upper hand and was able to punch and kick the pyromaniac on the ground.

Spider-Man picked him up from the ground and was carrying him out of the building, but a fallen pillar was blocking the entrance, making Spider-Man swing back to the building and was ready to leave.

He looked around for a way to open it since his hands forced on carrying Russo.

He sighed and just threw Russo's body through the window pane. The glass hit Russo's face first, causing it to bleed. Spider-Man then leaped out of the window right before the smoke got too much for him and landed on the hard concrete, where Russo was grimacing in pain.

Spider-Man then leaped back in there to get everyone out.

Russo was seen restrained to a hospital gurney and was being pushed by doctors into an ambulance, Aaron Davis was seen next to the ambulance, where he looks to be treated like a victim of circumstances, and after receiving some oxygen, the goons were being taken away in police cars.

As for Spider-Man, he was on top of the NWPD Police department, worried for everyone's door behind him opened to reveal George Stacy and Yui Watanabe.

Spider-Man didn't turn to face them and instead asked them both, "Did everyone make it out okay?"

"Everyone except for Osborn," Captain Stacy told him.

He lowered his head in sadness, knowing that he failed to save another life, even if he did try to shoot him.

Yui came up behind him and began to exclaim.

"That was the most stupid and reckless thing I've ever seen in my entire career!"

"I did the best I could," Spidey told her, not believing himself.

"How did a simple in and out job turn into a gigantic fire?" Yui exclaimed, wanting answers.

"I was making my way towards the exit, where Russo poured gallons of gasoline on the ground and a match in his hand," Spider-Man told him.

"And it didn't occur to you to web him up to prevent him from doing so?"

"How was I supposed to know he had gasoline in the place?" He asked, finally facing her.

"That part doesn't matter, what matters is that you chose the wrong time to question Davis! You should have waited until after their meeting!" Yui shouted.

"So what if Osborn died in the fire, he was trying to kill the kid!" Captain Stacy chimed in.

"He went in there without a plan and just barged in like he owned the place," Yui snapped at Captain Stacy and turned her attention back to Spider-Man. "And now because of you, we have no evidence on Willaim Russo or Osborn."

"Hey, I found out where Vulture is going to be at and I passed that evidence along to you." Spider-Man told her.

"And do you think that you can stop him? That it won't end worse then this?" Yui asked him, pointing at the fire.

Yui wasn't done and told him, "Our superiors-now know that we have aligned with the likes of you and because we have no evidence to back us up, we are sure we can't continue this case. And it's all because of how you treated tonight like some kind of game."

"...You're just a kid, you don't know a damn thing about responsibility." Yui finished.

That's when Spider-Man looked back at her, realizing what she said.

"LISTEN, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU'RE TO TELL ME THAT I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT RESPONSIBILITY? YOU TALK AS IF I'M JUST DOING THIS FOR A CHEAP THRILL! WELL, IT'S NOT AND IT'S NOWHERE NEAR THE GAME YOU THINK IT IS FOR ME! YOU DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA OF HOW MANY TIMES I'VE SACRIFICED THE CHANCE TO LIVE A NORMAL AND HAPPY LIFE WITH THE PEOPLE I LOVE! BUT I HAVE TO DO WHAT I DO BECAUSE IF I DON'T, THEN ANOTHER PERSON WILL DIE FOR ME! SO DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT RESPONSIBILITY!"

A long and uncomfortable silence filled the air right before he jumped off the roof and swings away from them both.

Yui Watanabe just stood there, surprised at what he said, as a weight of regret hangs over her head.

Peter is at his apartment building in an armchair, where May is next to him. She has been told of the events that have occurred tonight.

She then spoke softly, "Well, it could've gone better."

"You think?" Peter asked her.

"So, what are you going to do?"

Peter sighed and said, "I don't know May. But one things for sure, I could never be the hero this city, hell this world wants me to be."

"That's not true Peter, sure, someone died tonight, but how many people have you saved?"

"It doesn't work like that, May, the number of people who live and who die don't balance each other out!" Peter then calmed himself before continuing. "When I wanted to help take down these thugs, I didn't think it was going to lead to all of this."

"Does this mean you're going to...give up being Spider-Man?" May asked him.

"I can't, The Staten Island Ferry is tomorrow and if I don't stop them, then no one can."

May sighed, but she looked at her nephew with pride and said, "You remind me so much of Ben, but under that Parker pride, you need to except that you're human like everyone else."

Peter's golden smile returned. May was always to go to when he was having problems and now that she knows who he is that person, he feels relieved.

"Peter, I think some hot chocolate for the both of us is the best medicine right now." May said as she made her way to the kitchen.

"Thaank you May, for this and for being the best parent I could ask for." Peter sincerely told her.

May's heart fluttered with motherly love as he got up and both of them hugged each other.
