Author's Note: Before you read this next chapter, I advise you to reread Chapter 10. I have edited it and changed the ending because a reviewer found some problems that I couldn't argue with.

New Edit: I made a mistake on the last Note I did and it's actually Chapter 10 that I changed. Sorry for any confusion, if there was any.

The Next Morning

The time was 9:12 AM, where Peter and May were getting something to eat at the diner where George Stacy took Peter at. Scrambled eggs and bacon, rather simple for what Peter was going to go against at Eleven. Peter and the two officers were going to ambush the arms dealers with S.W.A.T Teams, and copters in the air.

"Sounds like it's quite the plan," May commented after Peter gave her the details. "Are you okay, you've been quiet all morning."

"I'm just thinking about all the possible scenarios that could lead to me messing up again," Peter said with a bit of humor.

But May was not amused and just assured him, "You won't, you gotta have a bit of faith, Peter."

Peter smiled and nodded as a timer was heard going off.

"And that's the alarm clock I set up this morning, sorry May, but I gotta go."

"Be careful," May told him. "And kick ass out there for me."

Peter laughed and quickly exited the store. He swiftly went into a deserted alleyway to change into his Spider-Man suit.

He swung to a building right next to the Ferry, where he saw that down the street, George Stacy was preparing a group of S.W.A.T teams to go in. Spider-Man then decided to call him on his phone.

The call was answered and Captain Stacy asked, "Hey, you here?

"Look above you," Spider-Man told him.

Captain Stacy did as he said and he saw Spider-Man on a nearby building with a phone in his hand.

"You ready for this, kid?"

"Nope, but I'm here."

"Listen, I want to say I'm sorry about what happened last night with Yui and-"

"I don't want to talk about that," Spider-Man told him as he saw a familiar face on the Ferry. "Hey, one of Vulture's buddies just boarded the vessel."

"Which one is it?"

"It's that bald guy from last time," Spider-Man told him.

"Good, get ready to board the Ferry." The officer told him.

Spider-Man then hung up the phone and counted from 10 to 1.

After the countdown, he leaped on top of the Ferry and he saw that multiple officers disguised as tourists followed suit. Spider-Man then noticed that the same van from the other night was here and an older man was in the driver's seat.

Spider-Man then got out his phone that was on silent and texted Captain Stacy, The van from that night is on the lower deck and there's some old guy in the driver's seat

After a moment or two, Captain Stacy texted back and the message read, Got it, me and the back up making my way down to it.

After a moment or three, noises were heard on the lower deck. At first, it was guns being fired at machinery, but another noise grew as the Vulture came out of the Lower deck and began to command his goons to fire at the police.

A text has then received that read, We could use your help now!

Spider-Man muttered, "You don't have to tell me twice."

He then flung himself at Vulture, and a flying duel in the sky ensued.

The Vulture was firing some kind of glowing weapon at Spider-Man, but Spider-Man pounced on his wings and Vulture was gliding through the air, desperate to shake the Wall-Crawler off his wings.

Back on the ground level, the police were gaining a clear advantage over the gang, until the bald guy came out with the same weapon that the arrogant salesman was using. He was able to knock down many officers and was gaining the upper hand against them.

As Spider-Man was able to knock the weapon out of Vulture's hands and web it away from him, he was also able to punch a cracked opening into the Vulture's helmet, giving Spider-Man a glimpse of what he looks like. He was the same old man Spidey saw in the van. But, as he and Vulture were continuing to duke this out, Spider-Man saw the scene unfolding on the lower deck and leaped off the flying menace. He then jumped and landed on the Ferry and kicked a scarred madman in his side and webbed him to the ground.

Spider-Man then made his way to fight off several more goons that were giving the police a hard time, but he didn't notice that the bald man with the hand weapon was contacting his boss as he ducked behind a car

"V, we have got to get out of here!"

"Agreed, but we need a distraction," Vulture said over the comm.

The bald assailant then got an idea and shouted, "Fly out of here, I'll distract the bug!"

Vulture did just that and flew away from the scene as the bald assailant used his gauntlet to fire a powered fist at Captain Stacy, sending him flying right into Spider-Man.

Shocker stood over an unconscious George Stacy and was hitting Spider-Man multiple times, until a familiar face punched the man in the face, preventing him from killing Spider-Man.

The familiar face who protected Spider-Man from the icing touch of death was Ben Reilly.

The bald man seized his chance to get back to land, while Ben was seeing Spider-Man on the ground. Ben quickly kneeled on the floor to perform, but first, he had to take off his mask so it was easier for Spider-Man to breathe and he did. He saw that it was his maybe/maybe not friend, Peter Parker, but as much as this came as a surprise for him, he didn't dwell much on the subject and was performing CPD.

After a moment or two, Ben's act of saving Peter's life worked and Peter leaned up and took a deep breath.

He couldn't tell what was more shocking, that Ben was here or that his mask was off, but he then put it together that Ben knew his secret. He was going to blurt out an excuse, but Ben told him, "We don't have time for this, just go!"

Spider-Man quickly nodded and went to the unconscious Captain George Stacy's aid and he had to get him out off the Staten Island Ferry as Vulture and the Bald man to escape, but the rest of the crew to be apprehended by the Police.

30 minutes later

Peter & May Parker, Yui Watanabe, Gwen Stacy, and Ben Reilly were at the nearest Hospital to check on Captain George Stacy. As they were all inside, sitting on some chairs, waiting, a male nurse came into the waiting room to inform them of his condition.

Gwen and Yui were the first people to get up and they both asked, "How is he?"

The Doctor responded with, "Well, whatever hit him on the Ferry, it somehow stopped his heart, but he'll pull through. He's lucky that Spider-Man brought him here so quickly or he might have died."

Everyone sighed with relief as Gwen asked, "Can I see him?"

"That's the thing; He'll recover, but it might be days before he properly wakes up."

Peter noticed Gwen was still silent and Peter approached her and asked,

"May I join you?" Peter asked politely.

Gwen indicated him to sit next to her. Peter sat down as he said, "So, how are you holding up?"

Gwen sighed right before she told him, "I think it's a relief that he's going to be okay,"

"But?" Peter asked her if there was more.

"But, I wish he would retire," Gwen continued sadly. "I always have to worry if he's gonna come back alive or not."

Deep down, Peter understood, because that's what May goes through when he's doing his Spider-Man thing, but he couldn't tell her that.

"I wish I knew what to say, but I don't."

"At least you're honest," Gwen smiled sadly.

"Don't worry about your dad. He's a good policeman and he knows what he's doing. He just gotta make sure we are there for our families."

"Sounds like you know this from experience." Gwen guessed.

"I was away for...a long time and I was worried out of my mind, I mean, I'm across the country and she's in the toughest city the USA has to offer."

"Across the country?" Gwen asked.

Peter realized what he said and tried to play it off.

"I-I was at a Stark Internship thing in California. A figure of speech" Peter lied.

Gwen nodded and said, "Thanks Peter for the advice."

"Just doing what any guy would do." Peter smiled.

"I have met some jerks in my life that would beg to differ," Gwen replied.

"Well, maybe you should introduce them to me and I'll tell them to back off," Peter commented.

Gwen giggled at Peter's lame joke.

Peter got up and said, "I'm going to raid the vending machines, do you want anything?"

"See if they have any cold waters," Gwen told him as she gave him a few dollars.

Peter just waved it off and said, "Your money's no good here, I'll pay for our drinks."

Gwen nodded as he walked off. Gwen had to admit, he was a good friend.

Peter made it to the vending machines where he was jumped by Ben Reilly.

"So, you're him?" Ben asked.

Peter looked around the hall to make sure that this conversation was private and as he saw no one here besides them, he whispered, "Yeah, but you can't tell anyone, okay?"

"Who else knows about this?"

"My Aunt, Tony Stark, his driver, Captain America, Falcon, Black Widow, Wanda Maximoff, the king of Wakanda, along with his family, Captain Stacy and you," Peter informed Ben.

"Wow, you are bad at keeping secrets if there are that many people," Ben commented.

"Don't forget, if you weren't at the Ferry, I could've hidden it a lot longer," Peter argued.

Ben shrugged in agreement. "So, who were those guys?"

"The Bugle is calling the bald guy The Shocker and the other guy The Vulture. They are selling weapons made from the same stuff the aliens used during the Battle of New York."

"You wouldn't have any ideas on how to find these guys, would you?" Ben asked him.

"No, but I'm gonna find out." Peter was determined.

"well, if it helps, I knew one of those guys."

"How?"

"Mac Gargon. He worked at this construction site a few years back."

Peter thought for a moment. "You can help out if you want, but only if you don't tell anyone this."

Ben nodded, assuring Peter as he went to find May.

Peter, May, and Ben were at the Parker residence, where May was making coffee, while Peter and Ben were debating over potential Spider-Man suits and so far, this was a fun scene to watch.

"Why don't you want a Black and Grey color scheme?" Ben asked Peter.

"For the last time, I'm a dark and edgy vigilante, I'm your Friendly-"

"Neighborhood Spider-Man, I get that, so about a camouflage feature on the suit that can help you not get shot so often?" Ben suggested.

"I do not get shot so often."

"Oh, come one, if humans were used as target practice, you would be the one everybody chose."

Ben then went over to Peter's workstation. It was unorganized with a trashcan full of unused ideas, tools scattered everywhere, and writing utensils.

"What are you doing?" Peter asked him.

"Taking a look at your storage system, what do you think I was doing?"

"Don't dare touch the storage containers or my web-shooters for that matter!" Peter rushed over to stop Ben

As May was watching Peter and Ben arguing about Spider-Man gadgets in great humor. She had to admit, it was nice for Peter to have a friend that knew his identity. Now, he no longer has to hide so much from some people, but she made a mental note to make the list smaller and/or have Peter create a mind erasing machine for the less likely to be trusted.

"Hey, Peter! Can I talk to you for a second?" May asked.

"Yeah, sure." Peter said as he walked in the kitchen where May is at.

"I must say; I'm surprised that you allowed someone to know your secret." May tells him. 'But, why did you do it?"

"Well, we found out...and I had to swallow my pride and allow people to help me." Peter reminds her of what she told him.

"Look at that, you taking my advice."

The following days have been filled with Hospital visits, face calls with Gwen, takeout, and coffee.

Ben came over with Chinese food, fortune cookies, coca-cola plastic cups, and an ice tea for May.

"Thanks again," Peter thanked Ben as he gave everyone their food and drink.

May thanked Ben for the tea, placed it on the table, and pulled out a bulletin board with potential meetings, information that was known and helpful, and potential people that could be involved.

"Peter said that Stark isn't helping with the weapons, and why he says this...we don't know," May told them, making Ben chuckle.

"He may have blackmailed me, but he's out of the weapons business," Peter informed them all.

"But one thing is for sure, if Damage Control has something to do with these attacks, then Stark is going to have a lot of lawsuits on his hands," Ben said as he dug into his Chinese food.

"Anything on Shocker yet?" Peter asked Ben.

"No, but I do have a way to shut down his gauntlet," Ben told them as he gave him a vial of static webs. "This is something new I've been working on. Shoot this on Shocker's gauntlet, then it will shut down."

Peter nodded as he placed it into his web-shooters. But then, Peter's phone went off to see that he put an alarm on it and that's when he remembered something.

Peter groaned as he told the group, "Tonight's the Homecoming Dance and I have a date."

"You're gonna call it off, aren't you?" Ben asked.

Peter sighed right before he answered, "I'm gonna have to, but I'm going to do it face to face."

He grabbed his suit and tie and went to change into his room.

The next scene is at a driveway, where May was driving Peter to Liz's house, with Peter riding shotgun and Ben was in the back seat.

"Thanks again for coming along, Ben." Peter thanked Ben.

Ben is seen wearing a Black suit and pants with a red tie for his date.

"He's not the only one with a date he has to say no to." Ben also added.

"Plus, you're intimidating, no one is going to say no to you," May added as he and Ben got out of the car.

Ben followed as May was going to be waiting for them when they both got back.

"Oh, Peter, wait!" May stopped as she handed him Liz's Corsage.

"Why are you giving me a corsage?"

"It's an apology gift," May told him as Peter smiled.

"Come one!" Ben yelled.

"Thanks, May," Peter said as he kissed her cheek, took the flower, and followed Ben.

Peter and Ben walked on Liz's doorstep and rang the doorbell. But, when the door opened, Peter went wide-eyed as he saw who he thought he saw.
