He was under a crumble of debris, unable to get up and chase after Toomes. The only thing he could do was remove his mask or more oxygen.

"S-somebody, help! I'm–I'm under here! Plea-I'm trapped under this-just Please help Somebody, anybody!" Peter pleaded, not wanting to die.

He groaned for the pain he was feeling and deep down, he thought that this might be the end of him.

"This…this is it. This is how I'm gonna… die," Peter told himself aloud. "My tombstone will read, 'Peter B. Parker, he died as he lived. Failing to stop crazed businessmen',"

He was prepared to accept death, but he looked down at his mask, remembering all that has happened since he had been bitten by that spider and if he didn't stop Toomes' robbery, then no one's going to.

"With Great Power comes Great Responsibility," Peter reminded himself of Ben Parker's lesson. "I can't give up, not when people are relying on me!" He told himself as he grabbed his mask, putting it on.

He attached his hands and fingers to the debris, getting ready to lift. He took a deep breath and began to lift the ruins of the building. It was a difficult power struggle and it took all of his strength to even lift it but was able to lift it far enough that he was able to crouch on one knee.

He kept it up above him for a moment to, again, catch his breath, and he quickly high enough to create a gap out of his predicament and escape the debris.

Spider-Man was flat on his back and after staying on his back for a while, he laughed at what just happened.

"Oh, when I take down Vulture, I'm gonna look back at this and laugh." He told himself.

He then sat straight up as soon as he remembered Vulture and his robbery. He ran away from the pile of debris and swung away to find Vulture.

"Come on! He's a guy wearing wings that would make Sam Wilson jealous, he shouldn't be this hard to find." Spider-Man told himself in frustration.

He swung to the Avenger's Tower, getting nostalgic as he first remembered seeing it in all of its glory. From the other side of the building, he saw Vulture, perching like an actual Vulture, but luckily he didn't see Spider-Man.

A plane was on the balcony of the Avenger's Tower. It was a cargo plane, and he saw Happy Hogan in charge of this operation.

"We'll be taking off in 9 minutes!" Happy Hogan informed everyone.

Spider-Man's eyes widen with realism. "Everything is going on that plane! Chatauri weapons, Stark's armor and arc reactor'sl, Avenger's equipment, everything!" He took a deep breath and he launched himself at Vulture, hitting him directly in the chest and he fell off the building, nowhere to be seen.

"You?" Yelled Happy Hogan as security guards were firing guns at the web-slinger. "Don't shoot at him, shoot The Birdman!"

"Finally, some common sense around here!" Spider-Man exclaimed. The Web Swinger came back to the plane and told Happy and the guards, "Get out of here!"

They did as they were told. After they leaft, The Vulture hoovered over him, but both didn't strike. It's clear they don't want to hurt each other.

"Peter, don't make me do this."

"This isn't right. I think you know that."

"Peter, please. I don't want to hurt you."

"I'm sorry, Mr. Toomes," He did his traditional fighting stance. "But if you want that cargo, then you'll have to get through me."

Vulture sighed sadly, before his mask's eyes turned menacingly than before. 'So be it!" He grabbed him and they took to the skies. Spider-Man struggled and punched him in his face.

"Ahh!" He jumped off it him and he webbed his talons and pulled him closer to Spidey and kicked him.

Spidey landed on a fire station and uttered, "Got to get this guy in a less populated area," He then shouted, "Let's play follow the leader!"

He swung away as Vulture watched him sling across the city. He wen after him and a chase ensued between them both. He was following Spider-Man all across town. Spider-Man flung himself up in the air to fire webs at his wings, but Vulture flew directly at him, but Spidey dodged it, landed on a building, and did a backflip, landing on Vulture's jet wings.

"Get off!" Toomes commanded.

He was stirring himself and Spider-Man in fast circles to shake Spider-Man off, which was making Spider-Man dizzy. He was unable to keep his balance and fell off, but landed on a building wall.

Spider-Man's vision was blurry. After 2-3 seconds, he grasped what was happening right now and quickly slingshot himself in a news copter that was filming this fight.

"Oh my god! Are you getting this?" A shocked man shouted at the filmer.

"Every minute, Mr. Jameson!" A cameraman told the old man.

"Folks, The Spider-Man has entered into our copter, running away from the fight that he started against the winged madman!" Jameson told the viewers.

Spider-Man glared at the man named Jameson. He had been turning people against him ever since the Airport event in Germany and he didn't like how Jameson called him a coward when he first entered the Helicopter.

"Boss, look!" Yelled the cameraman, pointing at The Vulture. He was flying directly at him with an alien weapon being carried.

"Yeah, I'm gonna need to borrow this!" Spider-Man told them both, as he took the news camera.

"Give that back, you thieving menace!" Exclaimed Jameson.

Spider-Man ignored him, attached a web line onto the camera, and yelled, "We'll be back after these messages!"

He then fired the camera directly at Vulture's weapon and webbed it to the helicopter. To finish his move, he fired one web line at one wing and another at the other wing, and launched himself at Vulture, throwing the camera at his face.

Spider-Man then attacked the wingsuit many times before Vulture yelled, "That is it!"

He grabbed Spider-Man by the talons and threw him on a taxi. Spider-Man landed splat on the car, groaning in pain as he struggled to get back up. Behind him, Shocker reappears as he walked toward him and fired up his gauntlet, wanting to finish the job.

Spider-Man got off the taxi to face the bald criminal. He saw Vulture flying away, undoubtedly back to the Cargo Plane. Back with Shocker, he was ready to finish this fight, but Spider-Man gathered all of his strength to stand up, preparing for one last fight.

"Kid, if I were you, I would stay down!" Shocker recommended.

"Sorry bumblebee man, but I don't look the other way," Spider-Man growled in his torn suit.

Shocker looked down at his vest, looking offended that he was called Bumblebee Man.

As Shocker was distracted, Spider-Man shot the device that Ben made him at Shocker's glove and it was deactivated once again. Spidey then tackled him to the ground and knocked him out cold.

"It's time to skin this bird," Spider-Man told himself as he swung back to the cargo plane.

Adrian Toomes AKA Vulture exited the cargo plane, carrying a wooden box with priceless items by the claws on his legs. He was forced to remove his helmet since it was damaged in battle with Spider-Man.

Spider-Man arrived just in time, but as he was getting ready to take him down, he saw that his wingsuit was sparky out of control and shortly realized what was going to happen.

"Y-you're wi-wingsuit. Your wingsuit is gonna explode!" Peter tried telling him.

He fired a web at the cargo box, preventing Adrian from leaving. He turned around, grinning at him.

"Time to go home, Pete!" Adrian told him rather cheerfully from his victory.

"I'm trying to save you!' Spider-Man shouted.

Toomes wasn't listening and just cut the web from the box, making Peter fall on the ground.

As he was taking his leave, the jet suit did explode, sending balls of fire onto the streets.

"No!" Spider-Man exclaimed.

He saw Adrian Toomes falling from the sky, so Peter rushed off to jump after him. It took a while, but Peter eventually caught him, removed the broken wing-suit from his back, and landed safely on the ground, with Adrian Toomes on his shoulder.

As he landed, he saw Yuri Watanabe come onto the scene, with Iron Man arriving shortly after.

"Ms. Watanabe, Mr. Stark, I would like to introduce Mr. Adrian Toomes. Alias, The Vulture. He has been selling weapons using the same technology from The Battle of New York." Spider-Man explained.

"Mr. Toomes, you're under arrest," Yui told Vulture.

She then placed his hands into handcuffs. Before he was placed in a police car, Adrian looked at Spider-Man and began to state, "You…saved me?"

Peter just nodded his head before the door was closed on him and the car drove off. Beofre he could go, a voice called out to him, "Hey,"

It was Yuri, who was still feeling resentful for what she said to him.

Yuri walked to him and said, "You did a good job."

"You still don't approve of what I do, do you?"

"I don't approve of Vigilanties in general, but at least I know that you don't do this for fame. And I'm sorry for what I said."

Spider-Man sighed. "It's okay. Most people don't understand what I do this," He held out his hand. "Buddies?"

She smiled. "Let's stick with acquaintances for now and see how that goes."

"I can live with that. Have a good night,"

"Wait," Spider-Man looked back to see Tony. "We need to talk."

Peter sighed. Someday, but not today." He then webbed himself away.

"Peter, I'm so proud of you." A soft woman's voice told Peter Parker.

It was the next couple of days where Peter and Aunt May were in their apartment, looking over the TV news and the local newspapers.

"I know, May. You've been telling me that since last night." Peter chuckled.

"I just want to makesure that it's clear." May giggled.

Peter smiled as he felt this sweet release of relief wash over. But, the feeling sank as his phone went off, showing that it was time to go to school.

"Gotta go!" Peter told May as he hugged her goodbye.

"When you get back, we are going to celebrate! What do you think about Louie's pizza?" May offered.

"That sounds great May, I love you!" Peter told her, closing the door on his way out.

He got on the bus he was now taking to school and while on the bus he had gotten several texts from his mentors.

-Great job out there, Son! From Steve Rogers

-I saw you on the news, kid. And that was a risky move you pulled. Great job From Sam Wilson

-Peter, you had me worried last night. I am so proud of you for taking him down! From Wanda Maximoff.

-Did a good job last night, маленький паук From Natasha Romanoff

When he arrived, he was greeted by Ben Reilly, who has agreed to be his main friend now that he knows his secret.

He patted Peter on the shoulder, saying, "That was awesome. Televisions are swarming with news about what happened last night."

"Hey, thanks for helping me out with You-Know-Who." Peter whispered, not wanting to give away his identity in public.

"Not a problem." Ben said before saying, "Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime after school someday orsomething like that?"

Peter lit up and thought this was his chance to make a new friend. "Yeah, that would be great!"

Peter then saw her hugging Betty Brant, with her mom beside her.

"I'll be right back," Peter told Ben, going to Liz.

After Betty left Liz, Peter came to her and said, "Liz…hey,"

Liz looked at him with pain. Her eyes looked watery.

"Look, Liz, I'm so sorry."

"You say that a lot. What are you sorry for this time? The dance? The was a really crappy thing to do." Liz snarled.

"Well yeah, but I..." Peter wanted to explain himself, but he couldn't. "I mean your dad...I can't imagine what you're going through. If there's anything I can do to help." Peter wanted to make it up to her.

She shruged. "I guess we're moving to Oregon," Her voice was strained. "My mom says it's nice there, so that's cool."

Peter looked at her with heartbreak. "Anyway, Dad doesn't want us here for the trail. So..."

"Liz, I...I..." Peter struggled to find words to make her feel better.

Liz ended the conversation. "Bye Peter. Whatever's going on with you, I hope you figure it out." She walked away. Peter knew at that moment, he was going to lose a lot more if he kept doing this.

After school, Peter had decided to join the Academic Decathlon team, something that wasn't difficult to do, since they wanted him in the team for some time. The team had their meetings in their school library where they were welcoming Peter right now.

"Peter, on behalf of the Academic Decathlon Society, we are so thrilled that you will be joining us." Said a young blond with a buttoned-up collar shirt, wearing a shirt and black shoes.

"Thanks, Betty." Peter smiled at her.

"And we will need a new team captain, so I'm appointing...Gwen Stacy."

Peter was pleasantly surprised that Gwen Stacy was here. They all clapped for her.

"Thanks." Gwen smiled.

"Congratulations," Peter told her.

"Thanks, Pete."

"Wiat, do you two know each other for something?" Flash asked

"He's a close friend," Gwen told Betty.

Peter and Gwen both smiled at each other.

As Betty Brant yet out an, "Aww!", the intercom exclaimed loudly, "Peter Parker, please report to the main office. Peter Parker!"

Peter let out a sigh and packed his bag to leave. He waved bye to everyone, who waved back, except Flash.

"Hey, um, Gwen? Tell your dad I said hi when you get to the hospital."

"You don't have to. He was free to go this afternoon!" Gwen told him, excitedly.

"Oh! That's great, I'll have to say hi." Peter told her, glad of the satisfying news.

Peter made his way to the office, after the long walk of the school, and asked, "I'm Peter Parker, d-did I do something wrong?"

"Oh, don't worry. Your dad is just here to pick you up." The male receptionist assured him.

"M-my, dad?" Peter was confused, but he then saw a limousine up in the front of the school.

Peter glared at it, having a hunch about who it is. He defensively walked outside to it and as he did the back seat window lowered, revealing Tony Stark in all of his glory.

A moment was spared before Stark asked, "…Cap really made you as paranoid as him, you know that? Look, I'm not gonna steal your lunch money, I just…I just want to talk."

Peter glared at him before he cautiously entered the limo, sitting on a leather seat across from Stark.

"Happy, drive us around the block for a while. Maybe even a Dairy Queen." Tony told him.

"Got it," Happy nodded. He was the driver. "Hey, kid. I just want to say thank you for saving my life."

Peter gave a nod as he drove through the busy streets. For a while, the drive was uncomfortable and unenjoyable for the three of them.

"Soooo…you went back to school? That's nice." Tony asked Peter, cautiously

"I had to find a different life than being hunted by you," Peter remarked, coldly.

Tony turned to the kid after he said that and said, "Look. I don't want there to be any hard feelings between us, Petey. And…I'm ready to make amends."

Peter turned to him and replied, "How?"

"Well, for one: you can thank me for getting you back in school," Tony told him.

"What do you mean?" Peter asked him to elaborate.

"I might've encouraged the school board to keep you from being expelled and to excuse your absences."

"Meaning you bribed them, right?" Peter half stated, half asked.

"Only enough for them to have 4 or 5 field trips in the future." Tony grinned.

"W-what, w-why-why did you do that?" Peter asked Tony, completely astonished.

"To make amends, as I said. I'm just sorry that it took our last tango for me to see that," Tony continued. "Also…To show that there are no strings attached, your secret will be kept to ourselves."

THAT got Peter's full attention. He sat up from his seat.

"No conference, no camera crew, no arrest warrants, nothing like that," Tony promised.

"And you promise to keep May out of this?" Peter demanded, quickly.

"May, Stacy, everyone who you want," Tony told him, before saying. "But, that doesn't mean that Cap, along with everyone else on his side, will not be hunted. I wish they weren't. And, if it was me with Ross's power, then I would call off the search party on them a long time ago."

Peter shook his hand and told him, "It's not like Ross and his army of idiots will be able to find them anyway."

Tony chuckled and agreed with him.

"Do you guys still want Dairy Queen or should I drop him off at his house?" Happy asked them both.

"It's up to the kid," Tony faced the kid.

Peter took a moment to decide.

Back at May's apartment, Peter came back with a container of strawberry ice cream and a story to tell to his Aunt. Louie's pizza was on the kitchen counter, with drinks and such.

"Wow, that's just…wow." May didn't know what to make of this. "To be honest, Peter. I don't know if I should be relieved or terrified."

"Yeah, that makes two of us," Peter replied.

"Do you think that Stark will keep his word?"

"Yeah, actually, I do." Peter nodded with a smile.

May smiled widely as the door was knocked on.

"Were we expecting someone?" Peter asked, curious.

"I wanted to surprise you, so I invited some friends over," May told him, cheerfully.

That reply made Peter himself cheerful. May opened the door and Ben Reilly was shown.

"Hello, Ms. Parker," Ben greeted her. She looked down at his hands and he was holding a food container that held a strawberry cheesecake. "I…didn't know what to bring."

"Peter and I love cheesecakes! Thank you. Please, come in." May told him, still cheerful.

Ben came in and grabbed a plastic plate and asked, "May I?"

May said, "Sure. Help yourself."

Ben nodded in thanks as he grabbed some pizza. "To be honest, I'm a little relieved that you're alive and kicking after the injuries."

"Me too, but there wasn't enough time to be afraid. I was more concerned about stopping Toomes."

Ben chuckled as he sat down at a seat across from Peter.

"What's so funny?" Peter asked Ben.

"Sorry, I just realized how crazy you are." He took a bite out of pepperoni pizza.

"How am I crazy?" Peter was confused.

"Because only an insane person would do what you do at age 15," Ben explained.

Peter gave that a thought when the door knocked. May answered it and it was Captain George Stacy and Yui Watanabe.

"Captain Stacy!" He paused before remembering that Peter Parker had not met him yet. "It's nice to meet you and I think your, uh, good cop."

Cpt. Stacy held out his hand. "That means a lot. I'm guessing you're the Peter Parker that Gwen talks about."

"Sh-she's mentioned me to you?"

"I don't talk about him all the time, dad," Gwen came into the doorway. "Hey, Pete." Gwen greeted him.

"H-hey, Gwen. Thanks for coming." Peter thanked her.

"Hi, I'm May Parker." May held out her hand for Gwen to shake, which she did. "Please, come three of you."

"Yuri Watanabe. Thank you for inviting us, Ms. Parker." Yuri told her.

"Please, call me May."

Peter stood up for Gwen to have his chair, but Captain Stacy took it. May and Ben giggled in the background. They all ate and drank and shared conversations for a while before Peter got a moment alone with Gwen.

"I wanted to say thank you for, you know, helping me through my dad being in the hospital."

Peter smiled at her and told her, "What are friends for?"

Gwen gave him her smile and did something Peter wasn't expecting; She hugged him.

Peter was blushing but did his best to hide it. Then came back with May giving Peter a look that made him blush even more.

"You're Ben Reilly, right?" Gwen asked.

He held out his hand. "Pleasure to meet you."

She shook it. "Are still playing for the school Football team?"

He shook his head. "Nah, I quit a few days ago. I want to do something more meaningful, like engineering." Ben told her.

May then said, "Everyone, we got food and drinks. Help yourselves and make yourselves comfortable."

Gwen smiled when she saw where the pizza was from. "Eddie's. Yes!"

"Yeah, Peter mentioned it's your favorite." May said.

Gwen was interested. "He talks about me?'

"Of, all the time." Ben smirked as Peter looked exasperated.

Gwen smirked. "Really? What does he say?"

"Well, he often mentions how pretty you are, how cute your smile is, and that time where-"

"May!" Peter interrupted with a flustered look on his face.

"What, you did say that!" May said in her defense.

Peter groaned, trying to hide the embarrassing face behind his hands. Gwen didn't mind. If anything, she was completely flattered.

After the party, everyone had gone home. Peter couldn't stop thinking of what Ben said.

'Only an insane person would do what you do at age 15.'

"He said that I was insane for putting up with this life I choose. And you know what…Ben's right." Peter was telling himself aloud. "I'm absolutely, positively insane. But, to be honest…maybe that's what New York needs me to be. Crazy enough to stop robberies, murders, and weapons traders,"

"Are you narrating yourself?" Asked Aunt May, who was eating a bowl of ice cream that Peter brought.

"W-what? N-no!" Peter lied.

May smiled as she came over to him and ruffled his hair.

"May!' Peter gave her a flustered look.

May again smiled and told him. "I said this once and I'll say it again; I am so proud of the man you have become…And Ben would be proud too."

Peter felt his eyes water as they embraced to hug one another.

When they departed, May wished him good luck on his patrol right before he kissed her forehead and jumped out the window.

He went into his alleyway and put on his Spider-Man uniform as he heard a robbery being committed in the distance. He witness the man snatch a woman's purse right before he swung down, grabbed the thief by his shirt and held him in the air.
