Kate smiling: Well, it wasn´t so bad.
Jack: Yeah, imagine: after all the things Sawyer teaches him, yours would seem like a diminutive!
Kate bursts out laughing.
Charlie irritated: It´s not funny!
Jate&Hurley at the same time: S-sorry.
Kate pulling herself together: Jack´s right, Charlie. She didn´t seem so angry after all.
Charlie: Whatever. I´m going to my tent.
He leaves. Hurley stays there, between Jack and Kate, visibly uncomfortable.
Hurley: So… I…I need to go, too. See you, guys, later.
Jack: See you.
Kate: Bye, Hurley.
Hurley reaches the door; then, before closing it behind him, adds…
Hurley raising his eyebrow, suggestively: Uhm, whatever you do, don´t forget on ….on the button.
Jack and Kate are finally alone now. He approaches her, putting his hands on her waist.
Jack: So…
Kate: So…
Jack touching the lock of her hair and putting it behind her ear: As I said, where were we?
He starts kissing her slowly: her forehead…her eyes, her nose… She is having her eyes closed, feeling warm shivers running all across her body… Suddenly, she laughs.
Jack confused: What´s funny?
Kate: Nothing. It´s just… Look at Aaron. Blonde hair, blue eyes, angelic face. Who would have thought his first word would be a curse?
Jack who is now occupied with kissing the left side of her neck: Don´t worry. Ours won´t swear.
Kate freezes. She pulls away slightly.
Kate: O-ours?
Jack realizing what he´s just said: I mean…
Kate: You…you thought about that?
Jack: I…I don´t know. He pauses for a moment.… Y-you?
Kate blushing: I…I never thought about children before, but…
Jack: But?
Kate: I don´t know…It…it wouldn´t be so bad… I guess.
Jack: Yeah, I…I guess, too.
They´re both silent for a while. Then Jack raises her chin a bit, forcing her to look him in the eyes.
Jack silently: Kate… She looks at him.… I…I never thought I´d say this, but… I wouldn´t mind having your child.
Kate tears forming in her eyes: You…you wouldn´t?
Jack wiping away the tear that escaped her eye: No… Think about it: with my smile and those eyes and freckles of yours – it would be the prettiest baby on the world.
Kate smiles. She puts her hand around his neck, pulling him closer in a kiss. She gives him one small, but deep and intimate kiss, full of emotions that she couldn´t express with words.
Kate: Thank you.
Jack his forehead leaned against hers: So…you…you wanna try it?
Kate: N-now?
Jack: Yeah. He sees the looks on her face.… But, if you don´t want to, it´s fin…
She gives him one quick kiss.
Kate: I do… want it.
Jack looking her into eyes: You…you sure?
Kate thinks for a moment about how it would affect their life; then makes her decision.
Kate firmly: I´m sure.
