(Author Note I decided to post this small piece though its not very large )
While Eliot was on his way to the airport to Kentucky, the team was making its own plans. Nate looked at Hardison; his eyes had that tired look the one where he knew something was up, and the parts were moving without him, so now he was annoyed he had to go jogging after them.
"Hardison, show me the file you've been keeping on her and then get me everything on this agent, then book us on the next flight out." He took a sip from his laced coffee cup.
Hardison sighed as he started to pull up the stuff. He knew Eliot was not going to be happy about them following them to where he was going. He had already told Nate he was doing this case alone. There was something about this girl that had Eliot on his guard. Hardison started delving into things about her. He frowned as things began popping up. "She's the youngest in her family." He was quiet for a moment as he scrolled further down the page.
"She has no family; her older brother died in the war..." Hardison's voice died out as things started to come together. "Her dad died when she was a kid, and her mom died when she was fifteen."
Hardison kept typing away. "She went to private school, her agent is the one that contacted us first, but she has nothing to do with that; she doesn't even know that he contacted us."
A far off look slipped over Nate's features. "If you're right, we can use that."
Hardison swiveled his stool around, so he faced Nate. "He didn't say he told her. I don't think he knows about Eliot, so she doesn't know Elliot works with Leverage Consulting." Elliot was going to be another level of unhappy with the team's presence, but if he had no one but himself to blame then, oh well. Plausible deniability made the world go round.
Sophie frowned. "Nate, he told you he was handling this one on his own. You said yourself you don't do personal cases as they get too messy." She didn't want Eliot to handle this on his own, but she also knew that showing up would piss him off.
"I don't, but you saw what he was like when it was Damien Moreau and the one with Aimee. He thinks he can fix it all with his fists. It will take finesse to get her money, name, publishing, and out of her contract. " Nate looked at her. "And that's why he needs us. .we provide leverage. " With that, they got their things packed up and headed to the airport to follow their friend
