Summer and Kururun are at the secret grotto.

"Kururun, why can't you just tell me what this is all about?"

"You'll see. It's a surprise." Kururun reveals Summer a statue of Prince Winter that was lost in the shipwreck that he never liked that Gimbee had hoped it would be a wedding present.

"Ohh! Kururun. Kururun, you're the best! It looks just like him. It even has his eyes." Summer giggles "Why, Winter… run away with you? This is all so, so sudden." Summer was enjoying her pleasantries until she saw her father who was very angry. "Daddy!"

"I consider myself a reasonable merman. I set certain rules, and I expect those rules to be obeyed."

"But dad… I…"

"Is it true you rescued a human from drowning?"

"Daddy, I had to…"

"Contact between the human world and the mer-world is strictly forbidden. Summer, you know that! Everyone knows that."

"He would have died."

"One less human to worry about."

"You don't even know him."

"Know him? I don't have to know him! They're all the same. Spineless, savage, harpooning fish-eaters, incapable of any feeling…"

"Daddy, I love him!" Summer said it out load.

"No! Have you lost your senses completely? He's a human! You're a mermaid!"

"I don't care."

"So, help me, Summer, I am going to get through to you. And if this is the only way, so be it."

King Noki then used his trident to destroy all of Summer's human collections "Daddy! No! Please! Daddy, stop!" Summer begged her father to stop but he then aims his trident at the statue "Daddy no!" King Noki then destroys the statue into pieces.

Summer cries and King Noki thought that maybe he was being too hard on her and left her grotto.

"Summer, I…"

"Just go away." Kavouras and Kururun left Summer alone crying.

The two eels swim to a crying Summer. "Poor child."

"Poor, sweet child."

"She has a very serious problem."

"If only there were something we could do."

"But there is something."

"Who… Who are you?" Summer asked

"Don't be scared."

"We represent someone who can help you."

"Someone who can make all your dreams come true."

"Just imagine…"

"You and your prince…"

"Together forever."

"I don't understand."

"Cecaelia has great powers."

"The sea witch?" Summer remembers hearing stories about the sea witch Cecaelia. "Why, that's… I-I couldn't possibly. No! get out of here. Leave me alone!" Summer went back to her crying.

"Suit yourself."

"That was only a suggestion." Kuro used his tail to kick the piece of the statue by Summer.

Summer then saw the piece and notice that it has his face and picked it up then realized she had no choice. "Wait!"

"Yes?"

Outside the grotto

"Poor Summer."

"I didn't mean to tell. It was an accident." Kavouras and Kururun then saw Summer with two eels. "Summer? Where are you going?" Kavouras swims up to Summer "Summer, what are you doing here with this riffraff?"

"I'm going to see Cecaelia." Summer swims past him and Kavouras gasp when she mentions the name Cecaelia.

"Summer, no! No!" Kavouras grabs her tail fin "She's a demon. She's a monster!"

"Why don't you go tell my father? Your good at that." Summer got Kavouras off her tail fin and swam off.

At Cecaelia's cave

Summer was spooked by it's appearance. "This way." They told her.

When Summer entered it was a garden full of polyps who were former dreamers who came to her for her power. "Come in. Come in, my child. We mustn't lurk in doorways. It's rude." Summer saw Cecaelia "One might question your upbringing." Cecaelia chuckled "now, then, you're here because you have a thing for this human, this prince fellow. Not that I blame you. He is quite a catch, isn't he? Well, angelfish, the solution to your problem is simple. The only way to get what you want is to become a human yourself."

"Can you do that?" Summer asked

"My, dear, sweet child. That's what I do. It's what I live for—to help unfortunate merfolk, like yourself, poor souls with no one else to turn to." Cecaelia added

I admit that in the past I've been nasty

They weren't kidding when they called me, well, a witch

But you'll find that nowadays

I've mended all my ways

Repented, seen the light, and made a switch

To this!

An di fortunately know a little magic

It's a talent that I always have possessed

And dear lady, please don't laugh,

I use it on behalf

Of the miserable, the lonely, and depressed

"Pathetic"

Poor unfortunate souls

In pain, in need

This one longing to be thinner

That one wants to get the girl

And do I help them?

Yes, indeed!

Those poor unfortunate souls

So sad, so true

They come flocking to my cauldron crying "Spells, Cecaelia, please!"

And I help them? Yes, I do

Now, it's happened once or twice

Someone couldn't pay the price

And I'm afraid I had to rake 'em 'cross the coals

Yes, I've had the odd complaint

But on the whole, I've been a saint

To those poor unfortunate souls

"Now, here's the deal. If you dare, there's a potion I'll prepare."

Just consume, and you'll be human three whole days up above

By the end of day three—listen up, this key—

Just convince Mister Prince and get a kiss of true love

"If I do?"

Lucky you, you stay human, through and through

You can go with your beau and be totally divine

"And if not?"

Then guess what, girl

You turn back into a mergirl

Same as you once were, girl, but that tail will be mine

Don't be shy, dear, what will it be?

You want the guy, dear?

Leave it to me

"But what about my father? And my family?"

"Hmm. Sorry, dear. There's no way to spin it. Life's full of tough choices, innit?"

On last thing—silly me—did I mention there's a fee?

Nothing choice, just your voice

No more talking, singing, zip

"Not a word?"

Not a note, not a whisper from your throat

"But—"

Show some spine, you'll be fine

Honey, here's a little tip

You'll have your looks, aah!

Your pretty face

And don't forget to underestimate

The importance of body language!

"Ha ha! Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! Yeah!"

The men up there don't like a lot of blabber

They think a gil who gossips is a bore

And on land it's much preferred for ladies not to say a word

And, after all, dear, what is idle prattle for?

Come on, you poor unfortunate souls

Go ahead, make your choice

I'm a very busy woman and I haven't got all day

It won't cost much, just your voice

Ya poor, unfortunate soul

So sad, but true

If you want to cross a bridge, my sweet, you've got to pay the toll

Take a gulp. Take a breath, and go ahead and sign the scroll

Yumi, Kuro

Now I've got her, boys

A scroll appears in front of Summer.

The boss is on a roll

You poor, unfortunate

Souls

Summer signs her name on the scroll. "Yeah!" Cecaelia cast her spell.

Beluga, sevruga, come, winds of the Caspian Sea

Larynxia, glossitis, et max laryngitis

La voce to me

"Now, sing!" Summer sings "Keep singing!" Cecaelia traps Summer's voice in her shell necklace and laughs evilly and Summer's mermaid tail turns into human legs. Kavouras and Kururun then swim up to her and swim her out of Cecaelia's lair and get her to the surface with Cecaelia laughing evilly.

Summer is brought to the surface world and Kavouras and Kururun bring her to land.
