A/N thanks for your reviews and support.
PEJP BengtZone V2: for one thing. I like Naomasa/Izuku. It is my choice who to pair. I can make Izuku any way I want. Ir my fic. Regardless of what you or anyone might think. My profile clearly states I write m/m. If you don't like you you don't have to read. Don't push what you think onto other people.
Yumi Edogawa: Thanks for your review my friend. I do believe anyone who goes into Lyoko gets their own weapons and outfit depending on their mindset. They are the kind of people to jump right into something without thinking it through. The journals will help a lot with getting them ready to fight and learning how to use every function.
Izuku's POV
So they explored. For more than a month they did very little else but explore Lyoko. The immense world had just as many terrains and weather conditions as the real world did.
Hitoshi and Kavar had reluctantly joined him. They had their own variations of the uniform described by Jeremy. Weapons and abilities varied based on the person.
Hitoshi had purple and black outfit styled like sweats for easy movement. Later Izuku would remark that it reminded him of Eraserhead's clothes. Hitoshi wanted to go into underground heroics. His idol was in fact Eraserhead. So in a way it made sense that his outfit mimicked the man's. Like Izuku he had several knives that were sheathed all around his body. Unlike Izuku he did not have a sword, instead he carried a bow and quiver across his back. To Izuku they fit better than a sword. Hitoshi wasn't one for up close and personal fights. He would rather take someone out from afar.
Kavar had a very similar outfit to Izuku only the color scheme was different. His was a brown grey and black scheme. Fox ears sat on the top of his head and whiskers across his cheeks. The biggest change was his eyes. They were like those of a cat. Like Izuku he had a sword at his side but that seemed to be more of a secondary weapon. His primary weapon was the claws that he had. Much like how Jeremy had described of Odd.
Mei was not interested in going into Lyoko even when Izuku promised to watch from the computer. The use of his quirk would have allowed him to be more effective. She wanted to help but she was far from being a fighter.
Within an hour of the first day they had come across Xanas creatures. Marked by the eye just as they were the creatures were fairly weak.
Training in Lyoko seemed to transfer into the real world. Relaxed were honed in sparring against each other. It also gave them the best setup to train with weapons. Even if hit each other with swords it wouldn't hurt them. According to Mei they had health points. When they hit zero they would be forcefully returned to the real world.
Izuku found himself spending more time at the factory than at home. It was safer than his apartment and school. There were several times that he spent the night sleeping in the chair of the computer.
It took two months for Izuku to figure out how to get his quirk to work within Lyoko without blinding him. Then another two weeks for him to use it effectively. That time was when they learned that this was not a game.
Flashback
Steel clashing against steel sent sparks even in Lyoko. The three preteens were attacking and defending each other. Another training exercise to sharpen their reflexes and teamwork.
As Izuku jumped to land a strike on Kavar everything around them shook. It felt like a massive earthquake was striking Lyoko. System pinged with the activation of a nearby tower.
Then figures came rushing towards them from the direction of the tower. They were onee he recognized from the journal. It was mounted on four short legs, making it somewhat slow (although it is capable of moving very fast when needed). Its primary form of attack is a fairly unformidable laser beam that emits from the red eye at the bottom of the monster, just above its legs. Kankrelats.
The next ones were hornet like creatures also described in the journals. They resembled a legless mosquito/wasp with five pairs of thin wings adorned with digital-like veins. They usually attack their targets with a laser shot from their tail. The other attack was a poisonous liquid sprayed from their massive proboscis. As expected there were four of them in total. They never traveled alone.
Instinct kicked in when lasers fired at them. Izuku lunged for the first Hornet his sword slicing through its eye. As soon as his feet touched grass he was off towards a second.
He wasn't the only one who had immediately jumped in to fight. Kavar and Hitoshi had also drawn weapons. Kavar with his sword and Hitoshi with his bow. Within moments all of the monsters near them were gone.
Mei said in their ears, "A tower has activated. If you follow the western path it will take you to it. If the journals are right the towers activating can affect the real world."
They had to get to the tower then. So they ran and ran and ran in silence with Izuku in the lead. He followed his quirk to where the tower.
As described in the journals it gave off a red glow around the base. Monsters swarmed it. More of the same they had already faced but in greater numbers.
Immediately the three split up to divide and conquer. Izuku's main focus was to get inside the tower. He suspected that his quirk would allow him to manipulate the data just as Aelita had.
As he took down another one of the Hornets something in him shifted. He found himself hiding within the shadows of the tower. Ignored by both his friends and the enemy. As if they couldn't see him.
Mei said drawing him thoughts outward, "Izuku you activated your ability Shadow Slip. It allows you to slip in and out of shadows."
That would explain why others couldn't see him. He was in the shadows themselves hidden from view.
Kavar shouted without looking to him, "Izuku get to the Tower. We've got this!"
Forcing himself back out of the shadows he made a break for the tower. Once entering he found it to be the deep blue that his quirk was. Something tugged at his navel and pulled him about half way up the tower. Until his feet touched a platform in the shape of Xana's symbol.
Slowly cautious of any possible attack he made his way to the middle. In front of him a screen lit up reading: Code. Taking a deep breath Izuku activated his quirk. For a moment he was blinded as he always was the first time he activated his quirk in a new area. Then he was in able to see and manipulate parts of the tower.
A few seconds later the screen read: Code Lyoko.
End of flashback
That had been the first time they encountered trouble in Lyoko. However it would not be the last. At least once a month they would have an incident with Xana and his monsters. As far as he could tell though there had yet to be any repercussions in the real world.
