A few months had passed since they started visiting Lyoko. Shinsou, Izuku, and Kavar had started at Aldera Middle School. Much to their annoyance Izuku and Kavar shared a class with Bakugo. Shinsou was in a separate class altogether.

Despite being separated in classes they were as close as ever. All lunches and breaks were spent together. Just like in elementary school the three were looked down upon. They refused to be beaten down by those with "heroic" quirks.

It wasn't only school that had become more hostile. Izuku started staying in the factory to avoid his mother. She started drinking even more than before. Drunk Inko was physically abusive and he couldn't take it anymore.

Mei's reaction to him walking in with a black eye and bruised ribs had been a surprise. She immediately told him that she was going to fix up the factory. There were several rooms on the upper levels. Because of her friend's less than kind families she would make it so that they were livable.

The first stage of making them livable was clearing them out. Inside the rooms there was a good amount of usable metal. They put the metal into the tunnels so that Mei could use it when they got the rooms cleaned.

Within six months of finding the supercomputer two rooms had been cleared out and made liveable. Izuku and Shinsou were sleeping in sleeping bags and borrowed blankets from the Hatsume household but it was better than their houses. The third room had also been cleared out but it was turned into a workshop for Mei and Izuku.

By accident Mei had found Izuku tinkering with a few old flip phones he had found. She immediately realized that he had the natural talent of a support item inventor. As such she decided he had to help her with it. Something he had done on the side with his quirk but was now taking a more hands-on approach.

Their current big project was trying to get the elevator up and running. It was a long process but most of what they needed had been right there in the factory. They simply needed time.

Mei per her usual routine was in her lab working on what Izuku wasn't sure. For his part Izuku was experimenting with his quirk near the super computer. Recently he had noticed if he was near it while using his quirk and focusing on Lyoko a faint outline appeared on his wrist. Right where the fingerless gloves would have started.

Izuku flexed his fingers watching the area as he tried to solidify it. Sometimes it would solidify just a moment before going transparent again. Headaches were a common theme for him when he pushed it.

Pushing he got it to solidify again. Then he felt something warm run down his face from his nose. The metallic scent told him it was blood. Still he continued to focus forcing more. Forcing a connection between him and Lyoko.

Tenuous at best but the connection was there. The transparent Lyoko uniform was clear for all to see. Then the whole world went black.

Someone was shaking him back into reality. There was pounding in his ears and the scent of blood still heavy. Bleating he blinked open his eyes to find Kavar staring down at his. Worry clear in his eyes.

Immediately he tried to sit up only to be stopped by Kavar saying, "Slowly Izuku. I found you passed out I don't know how long you were out."

Izuku felt his head pound as he slowly sat up. As he did the blood came out of his nose with more fever. No matter how much he swiped at it the more came out.

Kavar called out loudly, "Mei! We need you in the computer room!"

It took a few moments for the pink haired girl to come sliding down the rope. She took one look at him and tsked. She pulled out a roll of gauze from her toolbelt before holding out to him. Izuku took it and pinched the bridge of his nose trying to stop the bleeding.

Mei said frowning, "Quirk overuse. You should have stopped, Zuku when your head hurt."

Izuku shook his head only to stop after a moment when his head spun. When it stopped he said, "I was too close but I think I succeeded this time. Through my quirk I can force the gear of Lyoko to appear."

Mei searched his gaze for a moment before she replied, "I know. I've been working on a watch that will make connecting to Lyoko easier. So stop pushing your limits without someone watching over you."

Izuku pulled the gauze away checking to make sure the bleeding had stopped. Then he said, "Alright. I'll stop for now."

Mei grinned as she said slapping his shoulder, "You should use the computer for your hero analysis. I've got it all set up to the internet and ready for you."

Izuku shrugged not really looking at his friend now. Sure he wanted to work on analysis but it wasn't good enough to share. Not with anyone but the three who were currently at the factory.

Before he could continue along that train of thought he was smacked upside the head by Mei. He snapped angrily while rubbing at the back of his head, "Mei! What the hell?"

Mei pointed a finger into his face as she said, "I could see the self depreciating thoughts forming. None of that now. I've seen your analysis and it is better than most of the professional ones my parents use."

Izuku's face went bright red with embarrassment. How could she say something like that? He couldn't be that good.

Mei continued not giving him the chance to rebuff her, "I showed my mom your latest notebook. She said that she would recommend you for a HeroNet account as an analyst."

He gaped at her like a fish. What?!

Kavar grinned, "She's right, Zuku. You could help a lot of heroes with that. Possibly even save their lives."

And that caused Izuku to pause. Izuku, Shinsou, and Kavar all had one big thing in common. They wanted to help people.

Izuku leaned back in consideration. Could he do this? Would it be worth the chance that they would just ignore him? Or worse.

However he could see the excitement and encouragement from his friends. Fine. He could at least give it a try even if would likely end badly. However he would be doing it his way. And not through HeroNet because that required his name and recommendations if one did not have a Hero License.

So he said, "I will give it a chance but under my own ideas. Mei there are reasons you know why I cannot take your mother up on her offer."

She sighed but they listened to his idea. It was the start of Lyoko Vigilante Group. One that would change the fate of many.
