"My first impression of you all ... is that I hate you" their sensei spoke in cheerful manner. Izuku covered his face as he heard Sakura yell at naruto, he only hoped his blonde teammate did not just ruin their chance at being shinobi.
He did not want to retake another year.
When he first began the academy Izuku felt his head was about to explode from the sheer amount of knowledge feed to him. Everything from the hokages, the leaders of Konoha, to the history of the elemental nations. Izuku was at a disadvantage with the lack of knowledge of this world and needed to play catch up.
On top of that was his own studies into chakra itself. From what the hokage explained and what the academy instructors taught it was a energy source that could be molded for multiple techniques. Not only can you use it to create powerful elemental attacks but create illusions, strength ones body to superhuman level, and even more. He poured all of his time and effort in the chakra as well the history of the world and tried to learn as much as he could.
However, because he focused so much on chakra and history his physical skills lagged behind and the main reason he failed the genin exam the first time. He ended up retaking the year with a new class and passed the exams on the second try. It was also where he meet Naruto Uzumaki. Izuku had only heard of the boy in passing, most of the rumors spoke of him being a troublemaker and deadlast of his generation. However, the adults seemed to talk of the boy in even more hushed tones some being dark.
All of them were wrong. When he first meet the boy he was loud, boosterious, and made sure everyone knew he would become Hokage one day. Izuku respected him for it, even when everyone jeered or mock him he stayed true to his ideas and refused to back down. In way he was like Kaachan only hundreds of times better. But most of all, he could relate with the boy.
Seeing the boy on the swingset alone as everyone's parents picked up their kids, Izuku walked up the boy and introduced himself ... the rest was history.
Their sensei soon ordered them to meet him up on the roof before having them introduce themselves. Their names, likes, dislikes, hobbies, and dreams. Sasuke went first, than Sasuke, moving onto Naruto, and finally coming to him.
"—Alright than that leave it only you kid" Kakashi pointed to him
"My name is Izuku Midoriya. My likes are Katsudon, learning new jutsus, history, and Konoha. My dislikes are bullies and those that look down on the powerless. My hobbies are learning new justus and chakra. As for my dreams ... it's—"
"—DEKU!" Izuku snapped out of his daydreaming. Turning around he saw Bakugou and his cronies with him as the blonde glared at him with a deep hatred. His cronies on the other hand seemed to be stepping back as they could as a small crowd gave them a glance.
"Katsuki? Is there a problem?" Izuku sighed, great and here he hoped to start training.
"Where in the world did you get strong!?" The boy demanded.
"Because of I trained?" Wait was Katsuki angry because he was strong or what his strength was right now?
"So you think you can beat me once you can do what you want! You don't know shit, your still a quirkless loser!" Izuku felt a little worried for the kid. Poor kid's face was hot red. Was he really getting upset with one fight, it wasn't even really a real spar.
"Katsuki stop acting like a ... wait no, your are kid" Izuku cupped his chin. Maybe it was better to say ... no, we were still in school so that wouldn't be right. Well what about ... no, katsuki would not get it.
He ducked and grabbed the blondes fist. Grabbing the collar he used the boys own momentum to slam him into the ground, he waited for the moment the other hand started to crackle before slamming into the ground as the expulsion went off. Ignoring the crunch of his nose hitting the ground a quick chop to the neck knocked him out.
Leaving him where he was he left the school as people started to whisper and Bakugou's buddies took him to the nurses office. He hoped he didn't hurt the kid too much, Katsuki did not leave much room for him to take him out without harming him. The only other option on the top of his head was using electric chakra but that was risky and he had no idea what would happen if he did to a child's body.
Moving through the crowd he made his way back to Dagobah beach where everything remained where it was. He summoned another shadow clone and had it go back home. Summoning more than dozens of shadow clones he separated them into group, in each group they focused on holding a different elemental type as they strung multiple jutsus without casting them.
He himself started his daily exercises as he began running around the beach. While running he started thinking the best way to get back to Konoha, the first idea was space-time ninjutsu. It was a good option, he had seen Obito used it to teleport himself to a separate dimension. the only problem was that Obito's jutsus were part of his sharingan and he doubted anyone had a pair laying about. The other problem was that he lacked any real space-time ninjutsu.
The only one he had was technically his summoning jutsus. Reverse-summoning was a thought that came to mind but until pukkan came back he held that off for the moment.
The second option was creating some kind of seal strong enough to teleport him back. Minato Namikaze, the fourth Hokage, was able to use fuinjutsu to bend space-time to instantly appearing around the battlefield and send enemy attacks to another location. His fuinjutsu may not be the same caliber as that of a master but in theory he could do it.
It would only require a massive amount of time and commitment.
The third option was waiting for pukkan and send him to get Sasuke. During the fourth shinobi war his teammate was gifted the legendary Rinnegan, a powerful dojutsu capable of supernatural and near godlike feats. Of those feats was being able to cross different dimensions, during their battle with kaguya they used it repeatedly to chase after the mad goddess. If Pakkun could find where his old teammate went then it was possible sasuke could find him and bring him home.
The only other option left was hoping his friends would find a way to get him out of here. Knowing them all they would do everything in their power to find him and if they can't they would find others that might. Naruto was one example, his friend would use all of his connections and his status as the savior of the world to find help.
He reminded himself of the current situation as well as long his stay could potentially be. For all he knew it could be a few more days to decades. What would he do if it takes longer than his school years? As a shinobi he could always offer his services to people who need someone dead, capture a person, or something else.
Well that or ... maybe become a hero. That made him pause, the very idea of being a superhero felt like being reminded a distant dream. After so long of being a shinobi the idea of being a hero seemed distant. Would he even want to pursue such a career anymore? His skill set will say otherwise, he could easily give you twenty ways to kill a man on the top of his head but ask him how to knock out someone and he would need some time to think on it.
Plus ... did he want to be a hero anyway? He was happy being a shinobi of konoha and last nine years felt like the best they have ever been for him, better than living in this world. Back there he was a powerful shinobi, respected by his peers, feared by his enemies, had friends and comrades that had his back, and more importantly ... had a certain someone he was interested in.
Now all of that was gone.
All he had now was a angry brat who used to be his friends, his parents ... well they were the one thing good about this world, and a whole world that saw him as less than dirt because he didn't have a superpower. A part of him wondered he decided to go all out and reveal his power, panic would be the first thing that came to mind. Quirkless now being able to reach a level beyond most pro-heros.
No, that was asking for more trouble than it was worth.
Although that did make him wonder if people with quirks could get chakra or was it quirkless people only? A question for another day.
Regardless being a hero sounded less intincing the longer he thought about it. That and the idea of people being called heros just because they wore tight spandex and had flashly powers, irked him.
He had seen real heros, his best friend Naruto Uzumaki was a prime example. His friend earned that title only after putting his life on the line to stop a madman from destroying Konoha, single handedly.
From what he learned from his time in the elemental nations one does not become a hero because they got lucky in the superpower lottery, being a hero meant you were willingly to lay down your life to protect your loved ones.
So far none of the heroes of this world showed that.
It was late at night when he started heading back home. His body felt sore from the training as he mused over the idea of going into a henge and get something to eat. Right now he was heading home by the rooftops to avoid the crowds. Then he started haring the screaming. Looking down he saw a women being held against a wall by another man. The man seemed to be whispering something to the girl as she seemed to be getting more scared the longer it went.
He could see no sign of a weapon on the man, perhaps he had some kind of powerful quirk.
He had no reason to get into this. It wasn't his fight and he had no reason to interfere.
However, in a brief moment he could imagine Naruto's face if he heard what he did. The disappointed look on his friends face.
...
Before the man could say anything else to the women he felt someone grab his shoulders and turned to see a fist. His nose cracked as the man started to scream out in pain, before he could use his quirk on whoever did it he heard someone say "Ration: Electromagnetic Murder" as his entire body was suddenly racked with extreme pain.
For the women, she was heading back home when she decided to take a short cut. Running into a mugger that demanded all of her money was not on her list. But before the man could harm her she watched as someone grab his shoulder and punch him in the face before muttering something as lighting came out of his hand shocking the mugger unconscious.
As the man fell down she got a good look of her savior as she sucked her breath. It was a child, no older than seven or eight years old with freckles and wavy green hair.
"Are you alright ma'am?" the boy asked.
"Y-Yes ... I think I should be asking that. What is a kid doing here so late at night?" she had to ask.
"Nothing much" the boy answered as she watch the kid start looting the mugger. "You should probably head home now, oh and could you not tell the police about me? I rather not have the police after me." The boy than vanished leaving her all alone.
"... What in the world just happened?" The women asked herself as she started calling the police. When they finally arrived she told them of how she was nearly mugged and her savior. When the police asked for a description she lied about the boy, it was the least she could do since the boy saved her life.

"Was that a bad idea?" Izuku asked to himself.
"What as a bad idea?" Inko asked.
"Huh!? Oh uh sorry mom I was just thinking to myself" he said back "I was just thinking about an test we just took today"
His mother nodded as he sighed in relief. His mother did not need to know her son just committed a vigilante act ... which made him wonder. Since he was quirkless did that mean someone could assert him for being a vigilante or not. Hm, he'll have to look that up later it was a very good question. But he was starting to ramble off now.
Was saving that women the right choice? Now he had to deal with the risk of her possible telling the cops about him and wasn't prepared for that.
Still, it was nice to help someone out. It reminded him of his old dream of being a hero. Where everyone else wanted to be a hero either for money, fame, or out of a sense of honor he only wanted to be a hero to help people. The idea of being a hero still felt wrong to Izuku, but that did not mean he couldn't help people out when they were in trouble.
Using his enhanced speed he could easily knock his enemies out before anyone knew. The only reason she saw his face was because he wanted to see what was on the muggers body. But he should also come prepared as well no telling if the next enemy will be easy picking. He needed some kind of armor, like his old flak jacket and some appropriate weapons like shuriken and kunai.
As Izuku finished his dinner the plans for the future were starting to form.
Detective Tsukauchi felt like hitting his head at a wall, honestly that sounded more appealing than this case. It only arrived at his desk just a few weeks ago and since than he has reached a dead end. There was a vigilante on the loose on the Musutafu or that is the case. The case only started just a few months after a few detectives off work noted the amount of people being saved with no hero calls.
From the reports of those saved they noted their attackers being suddenly knocked out and in some cases tied up. None ever saw who saved them.
Naomasa thought it would be someone with some kind of high speed quirk. Than after further investigations it showed multiple people being saved at the same time. Even if this vigilante had a super speed quirk there was no way he/she would be able to save everyone at the same time, such a quirk would be well known and recorded. Looking at the quirk registry their was no case of such a speed quirk.
He than believed it to be a group of vigilantes working together. People can have similar quirks even if they were not related and the idea of a group of vigilante with speed quirks had some merit, it was a stretch but better than what they had. Only that there was a small problem with his theory.
How in the world did this go unnoticed for more than five years?
With so many people being saved and the lack of the heroes being called someone else should have noticed it, better yet with all these recuses shouldn't have someone caught sight of this group or maybe some kind of camera footage? Yet there was nothing at all it was like trying to find a ghost, the few camera near the victims were destroyed and the recordings showed nothing. This really did felt like a ghost chase for the detective.
"Still on that case Tsukauchi?" a deep baritone voice asked.
"Yagi" the man muttered as he watched All-Might entered into his office "What brings you here today?"
"I heard from your buddies that you have been housed in your office for the past few days. Tell me, is everything alright?" His friend asked.
"If I'm to be honest no it hasn't. This case feels like I have reached my limit" Naomasa began explaining about the case to All Might as the number one hero took it all in.
...
"Yikes, I can see what you mean by it hitting a dead end. Makes my head spin at the idea" All might commented as he rubbed his head. The hero has seen quirks of all types in his life. But the idea of a single or group of vigilante with super speed quirks and no one having found out who they are surprised him. "Maybe this Vigilante or group of vigilantes have some kind teleportation quirk or a clone quirk?"
"I already checked, teleportation quirks are always logged into the national quirk registry and none of them ever shown a level like this. But for the clone ... that may have some merit. I thinking the person or group we are after may have dual quirks. They are rare but have popped up every so often, I think Endeavors youngest son has one."
"I have to wonder what could have pushed this person or group of people to becoming a vigilante" All Might mused. What went unsaid was the reason for it, while Japan had improved and accepted most quirks it was not a paradise by any stretch. The nation preferred flashy and destructive quirks over else and the standardized testing all hero academies were forced to reflected that.
Because of that many kids with support quirks or quirks that were ill suited for combat were left out and never achieved being a hero. Their were exceptions of course but it was too few to really count. And that was not getting into the quirkless, that was a whole can of worms itself.
"Who knows Yagi, all I can say is that if we ever find out who is saving these people I'm half tempted to have him join the police or throw him somewhere far away where I won't be asked to deal with him" Naomasa sighed.

Izuku finished up his smoothie as one of his clones dispelled to informed the rest another person saved. He had sent nearly a hundred shadow clones to patrol Musutafu. It was a pretty good idea, have his clones handle any criminal activities in the city and if there is any change then the clone dispels and the rest will automatically know what is up.
With his chakra enhanced speed no civilian would be able to see him act. All they would see is their attacker suddenly knocked out, plus for places with camera ... well cameras were never built to look up. So far it worked and the months that have passed by no one was none the wiser and that it would stay that way. His body was coming along fine and by the time he reached 16 he would be at full strength.
So far things were going well, mostly. The only problem was Katsuki, poor boy seemed well ... quite would be the right word. After three defeats in a row any person would feel their pride trampled and Katsuki was a boy that loved his pride. The last fight though did have him end up in the principal's office and where he finally found out whether genjutsu would work on quirk individuals.
Surprisingly, they did
When he arrived at the principal's office the man started going off about something as he started going through the hand signs just outside of the man's range of vision. Next thing the shinobi knew the man's eyes turned glassy, the genjutsu he used was a minor brainwashing variant he was taught by Kurenai-sensei it wasn't like the sharingan were he could control the person and give orders out.
It was more of a suggestion based one where he could nudged them to think of something else. For this it was simple, make whatever incident happen look less serious.
A fight between two students? Just some boys tumbling and rough playing.
Someone cheating? The boy understood his mistake and won't make it again.
You get the idea. Once the man's glassy look faded he blinked a few times before telling Izuku to not be so rough when playing. Nodding his head the man had him sent back to his class. Using the genjutsu on his homeroom teacher as well made his life a lot more easier. Since that his school life has been fairly well. No one really bothered him after hearing him beat Katsuki three times in a row, but the shinobi expected the blonde to do something later.
