AN: This is a story I was inspired to write after reading The Force of Fire by TheSilverboar and The Father by Procrastinating4237. There will be differences of course, but the plot is my version of those two combined. One change is that Padme, Percy, and Anakin's ages will be modified to fit the plot. This story starts after The Blood of Olympus, and before The Phantom Menace. I do not own these characters.
Chapter I:
Percy's POV
The war was finally over. The surviving demigods were gathered together on Mount Olympus still in shock over Leo's death. He died a hero's death, in a blaze of his own making. His sacrifice was the turning point Jason and the other demigod's needed to finish off Gaia.
I was in shock myself. Right before the final battle, Annabeth had given me some news. After witnessing my manipulation of Akhlys' poison, she did not feel safe around me. She was breaking up with me. Being fresh out of Tartarus, I was unprepared for this sudden news. Even though it hit me like a club of a giant, I kept it to myself to make sure I was focused for the upcoming battle.
Now, the full effects of what had happened were catching up with me. I was numb. I had jumped into the darkest hell for that woman and was thrown away like a piece of trash.
I felt a warm feeling and looked up. I instantly met eyes with the Hearth Goddess Hestia. Of all the Olympians, besides my father, she was my favorite. She was giving me a sad smile. I realized she knew what I was thinking about. It was at this moment I finally tuned into the reward ceremony.
"... is now time for the rewards for these brave heroes of Olympus." Came Zeus' booming voice.
AN: Going to skip to Percy's reward and will have the other's listed below.
"And now Perseus Jackson step forward." Came my father's voice.
"Everyone else leave the room." Zeus's command was clear. The demigods all shared looks before departing the room. I was confused, but dared not refuse.
I stood alone in front of 14 of the most powerful beings on the planet. I saw a worried look cast between Hestia and Hephaestus.
"It has come to our attention that you have become quite powerful. The daughter of Athena told us about what happened in Tartarus. The way you dealt with Akhlys shows that you have a darkness inside you. After all the betrayals and with the power you show, the council fears you are to powerful to be left unchecked. Normally, your punishment would be death. But... since you did help save us, we have decided to banish you from this realm."
I was so shocked. I had just helped save the world a second time and they were throwing me away. It was like Annabeth all over again. Now the look from Hestia made sense. She must not agree with what was happening.
"To ensure that you never show this level of power again, you will be stripped of your powers and heritage. Lord Poseidon has already agreed to this." I felt a chill go down my back at these words from my uncle. There was a sharp pain in my body, and I had a feeling that was my powers being stripped away.
"We will give you a little time to say goodbye to your mortal family before we banish you forever. But understand this. If you ever step foot in Olympian territory again, you will have a kill on sight order." Zeus boomed, lightning flashing around him.
I did not know how to respond. I saw the gods prepare to flash away and quickly clamped my eyes shut. I felt the wave of power of their teleportation wash over me, more powerful than usual due to the loss of my powers. When I opened my eyes, there were a few gods remaining. Hestia, Hephaestus, Hades, Hermes, and Persephone had stayed behind. I was engulfed quickly in one of the biggest hugs by Hestia.
"Why..." I managed to choke out, tears forming and sobs racking my body.
"Zeus and the others fear power. With all the threats demigods have been posing like those that joined Kronos and Gaia, Zeus has become worried to make sure that stops happening. He is going to use you as an example. We all tried to stop him but with him, your father, Hera and Athena leading the charge, we stood no chance." Hades said.
I understood why these few had tried to save me. Hades and Persephone were due to me bringing honor back to the House of Hades and from helping Nico, Bianca, and Hazel. Hermes was due to my never ending faith in trying to save Luke. Hestia was due to my role in bringing power back to her with the sacrifice of Pandora's jar. And Hephaestus was due to me helping him with tasks and my close friendship with his children, like Leo and Beckendorf.
"We do not have much time." Came Hestia's voice and she stopped hugging me. "I will summon your family here, so that you can say goodbye."
There was a flash of fire and Sally Blofis-Jackson and Paul Blofis appeared in the room. They looked around confused until they spotted me. My mother gasped, and then ran over to me, crushing me into another hug. I didn't dare speak, trying to absorb as much love as I could before it was too late. Hestia and Hades filled in my family in the meantime.
It was over too soon, but I got to see them one last time and say goodbye. Resigned, I was prepared to face my punishment.
As if reading my mind, Hestia said, "Not yet young Perseus. While you have been stripped of your born powers, we feel it will not be safe to send you without some help."
They all stepped forward and raised their hands toward me. I felt a strange sensation run through me.
They quickly explained the blessings. From the House of Hades, I could recognize flora and fauna while also a knack for earning money. God of wealth giving you his blessing had its perks. From Hermes, I could understand any language and my thieving and sneaking skills had improved. From Hephaestus, I had an innate knowledge and understanding of any kind of machine. And finally from Hestia, I received the power to become calm and comforted when in the presence of fire. I was overwhelmed, I didn't know what to say.
I managed to choke out a thank you.
"Now listen carefully. Your banishment is going to send you far away. It will be quite painful, probably one of the most painful things you have ever experienced. We do not know where exactly you will end up, but we are sending you somewhere safe and reward for all you've done for Olympus. Prepare yourself." Hermes said.
There was another flash and I heard someone shout "Wait!"
I looked over and Lady Amphitrite was coming to our group.
"Sorry to interrupt. My husband sent me to give back young Perseus' power. Your father did not was you to be killed, so he went along with the banishment to save you. Once he left though he could not return or Zeus would know of the deceit." There was another sharp pain but I could feel my control of water again.
"Thank you, everyone. I will not forget this." I said bowing to each of them in turn.
"Now are you ready? This will hurt."
I stepped away from the assembled gods and prepped myself for the pain. They raised their hands and shot a blast of power at myself. I felt like I was being torn apart to atoms. I couldn't breathe, think, or even scream out in pain. I blacked out, but not before hearing one last phrase.
"All hail Percy Jackson. The greatest Hero of Olympus."
AN: Well here we go with the story. Please read and review. Let me know what you think. I will be updating once a week or maybe more often.
