AN: And I am back. Sorry for the major delay, I had wanted this to come out much sooner. It has been really hectic here. I just recently moved and started a new job and was helping my family move. I also got COVID just recently and am finally back on my feet from it. I wanted to say thanks for all the amazing feedback. This chapter will be a two part about what happens on Tatooine. There will be major deviations from what happens in the movie. Anakin is 15 starting in this chapter. Also, according to a deleted scene from the movie, Quinlan Vos was undercover on a mission. He will also be a big player in this story. He is 25, but unlike Obi-Wan who is still a padawan, Quinlan is a new knight. He is still a Jedi Shadow. I need some ideas and feedback for an upcoming feature in the story. This story will eventually reach the Clone Wars (following the 2008 version not 2003). I love Ahsoka Tano but want to give her a twist. Eventually, Anakin AND Percy will lead the 501st with Rex being with Percy and Appo with Anakin. Should Ahsoka be with Percy (which is what I am leaning towards) and Anakin have a padawan that turns to the dark, or vice versa? Please let me know and provide a name, race and lightsaber color for this padawan (no matter if Anakin's or Percy's). Also should be go Satine or Siri Tachi for Obi-Wan love interest?

Chapter VIII (Arc 1 Part 2):

Padme's POV (32 BBY)

"Ouch. Ouch. Stop now!" Percy whined out as I tried to clean his blaster wounds. It was kind of cute, though quickly getting annoying. The handmaidens were stifling chuckles and even the 'Queen' was amused. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon were standing quietly in the background.

"Quit wining you baby. Bacta is supposed to help." I said trying to keep a smile off my face. I was worried. Percy did not seem all that concerned with being shot twice.

"Just give me some water, and I'll be fine. Save the medical supplies for any others that are hurt." Percy was adamant, pushing away the bacta patches. I knew now to give up. Whenever it came to water, Percy would claim it to be some miracle cure. And I couldn't deny it to be wrong when it came to him. I handed him a flask with water and he drank it gratefully.

"Ahh..." Percy said gratefully.

"Big baby." I whispered cheekily to him. He did the mature thing. He stuck his tongue out at me.

We were interrupted from the mechanic walking in. He bowed to the 'Queen'.

"My queen, due to damages taken during the blockade run, our hyperdrive is damaged. We will need to land somewhere to get new parts and to fix it." He walked out. Percy whispered that he was going to go take a look at the drive and determine what parts were needed. That was one of the things I loved about him. He was a jack of all trades.

Qui-Gon had R2 display a map of this space quadrant so we could determine a safe place to land. After a lengthy discussion, which provided time for Percy to return with a datapad of all the parts needed, we had found a planet in the Outer Rim, Tatooine.

The landing was uneventful. We landed away from the main port Mos Espa. The hiccups started when the group was decided to go get the parts. Percy obviously needed to go as he had the list of parts. Qui-Gon offered to lead the trip while his padawan stayed behind to protect the 'Queen'. Typho and Panaka were both going to stay behind also. I offered to come as a representative but Percy was adamant I stayed, leaving the Jedi confused. Luckily the 'Queen' asked for me to go in her stead, making Percy go into overprotective mode.

The group was decided: Qui-Gon, Percy, R2D2 and myself. We kitted up to prepare for the desert sands, and embarked on a search for our needed parts.

Percy's POV

I knew I was probably overreacting, but I did not care one bit. As we were landing, I had done research about the planet we were heading to. I found countless reports of it being a giant smugglers cove and haven for murder. This was exactly the kind of place I wanted to keep Padme far from.

As we got closer to the port of Mos Espa, I had a feeling nagging me in the back of my mind. It was similar to what I would sense when dealing with monsters back on Earth. I realized with a start that it was the Force warning me of something. Qui-Gon did not appear to have a similar warning.

We reached the town and I kept my eyes roaming, keeping Padme always in view while also watching everyone we passed. I could tell Padme was getting slightly annoyed by my overbearing protectiveness. We reached a central area surrounded by what appeared to be restaurants, when trouble hit.

I will admit, I was not paying attention, but I did overreact.

The feeling had hit me again as we entered the area. I quickly locked eyes with what appeared to be a male Kiffar. The feeling was coming from him. He seemed surprised by our motley group, but even more surprised that I had noticed him. While I was distracted, a male Dug, was accosting Padme. Qui-Gon was ahead looking for a parts shop, so it was up to me to intervene. And intervene I did.

I leapt forward, grabbing the Dug by his neck and pushed him away. Noticing their companion had been harmed, two other unsavory characters leapt to attack me. I easily dealt with them. Suddenly they stopped attacking and I turned around to become face to face with several blasters pointed at me. I stood protectively in from of Padme, unafraid.

A teenager suddenly appeared on the scene. He ran in front of me and started talking in an unknown language to the group. They loudly argued back. I stood ready, not sure what was being said. The Dug then spit on the ground in front of us and stalked off. I watched them walk off. The boy turned to me and started to introduce himself.

The boy introduced himself as Anakin Skywalker. I tuned out most of the conversation, using this time to check to see if Padme was okay. She was luckily, so I didn't have to kill anyone. She introduced herself and me and the boy. He asked why we were here.

I was busy during this. I looked around for the Kiffar that had caught my attention earlier. I saw him walking out of the area. Knowing I needed answers, I left the group in Qui-Gon's hands and took off after him.

The Kiffar must have sensed he was being followed because he took a route that led to a dead end. He stopped at the end and kept his back to me. I walked cautiously forward. When I was within arms reach, he exploded, attacking me. I was ready for it though. We fought hand to hand for several minutes, neither able to get the upper hand. I could tell he was surpised that I could keep up with him.

He stepped back then and seemed troubled, taking off a glove on his hand. He seemed hesitant, but attacked again. I had a bad feeling that I could not let him touch me with that hand. It was going well until I slipped slightly. The Kiffar used that to his advantage and reached forward, touching my forhead with his uncovered hand.

As soon as it connected I was caught in a vision of the past. I relived moments from Tartarus. I started to shake and shiver from the memories. The Kiffar had it worse. He backed up clutching his head and seemed to be in serious pain. He stumbled to the ground.

In agonizing pain, he looked me in the eye, tears dripping down, and asked: "What the hell happened to you?"

Anakin's POV

I don't know why I had stepped in to protect these strangers but I was drawn to the female of the group. She introduced herself as Padme. She looked like an angel straight out of the stories the pilots told. I couldn't take my eyes off of her, barely noticing that the one that was fighting left.

The older male of the the group introduced himself then explained that they were looking for parts to fix their hyperdrive engine. I was in luck that Watto carried most of those parts. It meant I could spend more time with this angel.

I quickly explained how I worked at a parts store. Padme looked at me so beautifully and it just melted my heart.

I led them towards the shop, talking about anything and everything as we walked. Padme kept asking me questions while Qui-Gon was studying me. An Astromech followed behind them dutifully, though it kept warbling while looking around for someone.

We reached the shop and walked inside. Watto looked happy to have customers and had put on a happy attitude. The droid displayed a list of parts and Qui-Gon and Watto got to work haggling. Padme and I made small talk while waiting for Watto and Qui-Gon to finish.

After a while of negotiations, the parts were ready to be payed for. Qui-Gon pulled out the exact amount needed for the parts, only issue was that they were in Republic Credits. We did not accept those. Watto was cackling madly while explaining that he did not accept that. Qui-Gon made some sort of hand gesture, then insisted that the credits could be used. Watto just looked at him said no, then turned around pushing the parts away saying, "No money, no parts".

Without thinking, I offered to buy the parts for them. Padme looked happy, but Watto turned around crushing those hopes. It was then revealed that I was enslaved to him and that I certainly did not have the money to pay for those parts. I quieted at this.

But then I came to a solution.

"If you help me fix my podracer, I'm sure to win the Boonta Eve Classic. With the grand prize, I could easily pay for your parts." I said happily, eager to help the angel and man.

Watto looked to considering. Smiling wickedly, he said deal, and then flew off.

"That was really brave young Skywalker." Qui-Gon said clapping me on the shoulder. "Let's see this pod."

I lead them out of the shop. As we walked towards my house, an old woman I knew called out warning us that a sandstorm was due to hit soon. At this Padme looked worried about something but I barely payed it any mind.

It took a bit of time, but we managed to make it home right as the storm hit. I introduced them to my mother Shimi Skywalker and realized there was a slight problem. Padme revealed that her friend was missing and was most likely caught out in the storm. My mother was quick to assure that we would look for them as soon as the storm let up. We started to eat dinner when we were interrupted by a loud knocking.

Quinlan's POV

It had been a long time since my psychometry had given me such a strong reaction. Usually items that were used in dark ways caused these violent reactions. But for it to be a man around my age... That was outlandish.

I was frantically trying to clear my head as to not get caught off guard by this stranger. His memories were still flashing in my mind. I could not get past his visions of a dark pit.

"What the hell happened to you?" I asked holding up my hands in a gesture of peace.

"You know... this and that." The man said uncomfortably. "I am pretty sure you saw everything anyway. What was that by the way."

I looked this man up and down. He was positioned ready to defend himself. He was very fit and had scars covering his arms. I could tell he was a fighter. It also appeared that he had the force, untrained, but it was there.

"Do you know what the force is? It is an ability that Force users can have called psychometry. It allows the user to see memories from people or items through contact." I explained calmly.

"Nifty. So does that mean that you are some sort of Jedi?" The man said.

"Yep. Quinlas Vos, Jedi Knight at your service." I told him. He nodded at that.

"Percy Jackson, Naboo Royal Guard." The man was now introduced.

"You know you are traveling with a Jedi Master and probably his padawan. It is unlike Jinn to not bring Obes along with him. What is their mission?"

Percy explained everything, from the Trade Federation blockade to the needed parts. They had slowly made their way back to the main area. By now, Percy's group was long gone. He did not seem so bothered by it.

"Listen Percy, they don't know bout your Force abilities or your past do they?" I asked. He didn't answer but his silence was enough. "I have a deal for you. If you help me with the mission I on and meet up with me again when your on Coruscant, I won't tell anyone what I saw."

Percy was silent but seemed to find this acceptable.

"Deal." Percy reached forward to shake hands but then thought better of it. I slipped on my gloves quickly and Percy realized it was safe to shake now.

"I'll meet you here tomorrow to tell you more of the mission. See you around Percy." With that, I left him in the area all alone.

Percy's POV

Once Quinlan left, I knew I needed to find the others. I overhead some locals talking about a sandstorm blowing in. I enabled R2's tracker on my wrist device and started following it.

It wasn't long before the storm hit. It was hard to see, but I followed my tracker to there location. I was getting tons of small scratches from the sand but I kept trekking on.

Finally, I reached a small housing complex and was directed towards a lone door. I knocked loudly on it, wandering if the occupants could here it. The boy from earlier let me in. As my eyes adjusted to the light and absence of sand, I felt a shape barrel into me, hugging me. Padme was hugging the life out of me.

I looked around the room at the occupants and my heart stopped.

Standing on the other side of the room from me was an older woman with brown hair and blue eyes.

"Mom...?" Was all I got out before emotions overwhelmed me and I blacked out.

AN: Again, hope you enjoy! Already working on the second part. Let me know what you think.
