SummerBash Kickoff Show and Backstage Interviews
Info: For the first time on Total Drama Wrestling History, there will be a preshow with a match and backstage interviews. They are there to get the fans ready for the show by pumping them up for tonight's show so there will be matches, in-ring promos, backstage segments and more during the "Kickoff" show. I use the term "Kickoff" because the WWE uses it and beause the crowd needs to be fired up before the show actulally starts.
More Info: The Philips Arena had 7,000 fans on an episode of Monday Night Raw on October 31st, 2011 and on an episode of Smackdown on May 4th 2016 it had 8,029 and on October 30th 2003 on another Smackdown Taping it had 2,500 Fans in attendance. Wow.
Note: This entire Kickoff Show will be in one chapter, ENJOY!
About 30 minutes before the start of the first ever SummerBash event, thousands of Georgia-born fans in attendance at Philips Arena, fans carrying signs all over the arena as the Philips Arena had over 19,000+ fans and they were hyped for the show as they also waited for some action to start. For the fans that could not go to the arena, they can go to the Georgia World Congress Center down the street at from the arena to the Georgia World Congress Center Hall B. Anyway since the main three announcers for Total Drama Wrestling...Joey Styles, Jim Ross, and Matt Striker had not arrived yet, Two announcers had to do the announcing for now as WWE'S Mauro Ranallo and former WWE superstar who actually did some commentary in CM Punk, (Surprise guys...despite the fact that CM Punk is in the UFC, Dana White did cave and did let CM Punk return to TDW for commentary and his Retirement at TDW Fan Appreciation Night.) as the sold out arena started chanting "CM PUNK!" and "TDW!" as the cameras started rolling.
"Welcome everyone to the SummerBash Kickoff show as we have 30 minutes before the pay-per-view gets started as we come to you to Atlanta Georgia!" Mauro Ranallo said as he was himself.
"The A-T-L...the capital of Georgia, the home of the Braves, Hawks, Falcons, and many more teams as well...HAHAHA...and it's also the home of former WCW Champion Goldberg." CM Punk retorted back to Mauro.
"Yes well, my name is Mauro Ranallo alongside one of the greatest wrestlers to ever lace up a pair of boots who never got what he deserved in the WWE...he is Phil "CM Punk" Brooks as he makes his return to Total Drama Wrestling as he appreared before and welcome back." Mauro Ranallo said as he introduced himself and his announcing partner.
"Yes like Mauro Ranallo said it's me The Best in The World is back as this week I'm doing commentary, and next week I am having my offical last match in front of my hometown of Chicago and it is an honor to have that kind of send-off, and I read my contract for TDW, it's better than the WWE's and Daniel King did watch the WWE but he is not out of touch unlike Vince McMahon and the powers that be, anyway unlike Vince...Daniel does give what the fans want, Vince gives what he wants." CM Punk ranted as his first Pipe-Bomb was delivered.
"Man...wow that was impressive." Mauro Ranallo said as he exactly was impressed.
"Thanks, anyway I am CM Punk and I am back!" CM Punk declared.
"Ladies and Gentlemen...we have a match coming up next featuring "The Wannabee" Beth Morrow going at it against Sadie Helmsley who is going to return to in-ring action tonight as she's had some time off to train with former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page as we go to the ring." Mauro Ranallo said as the bell rang.
"Ladies and gentlemen...welcome to SummerBash!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd roared loudly throughout the whole arena.
"The opening contest is scheduled for one-fall." Justin Roberts announced as "Pocketful of Sunshine" by Natasha Bedingfield played as Beth Morrow came out to light cheers as the crowd was mainly silent.
"Introducing first...from St. Albert Alberta Canada...she is the runner up of Total Drama Action, she is Beth "The Wannabee" Morrow!" Justin Roberts announced.
"Beth, she becomes famous for standing up to Heather but look, she and Lindsay were manipulated by Heather to join her alliance obviously wanting to be famous because she has no friends except for farm creatures and her run on Total Drama Action which she was the runner-up." Mauro Ranallo said to CM Punk.
"Well, basically she joined a show to make friends...if she wanted to make friends why didn't she go to school and talk to people?" CM Punk asked Mauro.
"I don't know." Mauro responded to him.
"She is a farm girl, who wants friends and by the time she does, she gets cocky, and goes crazy over a male model." CM Punk answered Mauro as Beth arrived into the ring.
"Girls like Girls" by Haley Kiyoko played as Sadie came out of the curtain to cheers.
"Her opponent...from London, Ontario Canada...welcome back Sadie Helmsley!" Justin Roberts announced as she walked into the ring as they shook hands and the bell sounded thus the match began.
"This match is underway and you can win by pin-fall, submission, disqualification, or count-out as Beth is working on a collar and elbow tie-up as Sadie counters is into a overhead belly-to-belly suplex." Mauro Ranallo said as Sadie nailed Beth with the overhead belly-to-belly suplex as she starts dominating Beth by nailing several bodyslams in a row.
"Sadie is nailing several slams in a row like she is running through a line for candy." CM Punk said to Mauro.
"Whatever you say as Sadie continues hammering away on the runner up of Total Drama Action." Mauro said as Sadie kept stomping away on Beth, then picked her up nailing her signature which was a running powerslam, and then she ran to the ropes and did a somersault legdrop which the crowd cheered for.
"Holy Shit! A cow just flipped!" CM Punk commented.
"Stop making fat jokes as Sadie did an incredible somersault legdrop like Kevin Owens from the WWE as she goes for the win." Mauro said as Sadie has Beth pinned.
"1...2..." The ref counted as Beth kicked out as Sadie had a finisher set up as she nails her new finisher which was a Cobra Clutch Sleeper Hold as it was called "Sadie's Lock" as she has it appiled on Beth as it was a variation of the "Camel Clutch."
"Sadie has the Camel Clutch Sleeper Hold applied as it's a variation of the camel clutch where instead of the wrestler does a rear chinlock, the wrestler does a sleeper hold instead." CM Punk said as she appiled preasure towards Beth as she was fading away.
"Beth is gonna fade here." Mauro Ranallo said as Beth was out cold as Sadie won the match by submission as Beth was knocked out as the bell sounded and the crowd cheered.
"Sadie has won in her return to action!" Mauro Ranallo announced.
"The winner of this match as a result of a submission, Sadie Helmsley!" Justin Roberts announced as Sadie's hand was raised.
"That was a strong return by Sadie as she dominated Beth as we have Funaki backstage with Bridgette right now...Funaki?" CM Punk said as the camera was now backstage.
"Thank you CM Punk and Mauro Ranallo and I am Funaki, TDW Number One Announcer as I am here with Bridgette who this past Thursday was assaulted at the parking lot of the TDW Arena and chokeslammed on the top of a car by Eva." Funaki said.
"Now Bridgette, you just checked out of the hospital last night and arrived into Atlanta this morning...and you face Eva in a Barbed Wire Massacre Deathmatch and how do you feel going into this match after being assaulted by Eva this past thursday?" Funaki asked her.
"Well, I am not scared of Eva...but I am worried about surviving this match." Bridgette told Funaki.
"Anything you want to say before the match?" Funaki asked her.
"Well, I have this to say...Eva what you did to me was sadistic, and it was over somebody stealing your MP3 Player...that was a stupid reason to be kicked off. But I will fight hard and give everything I got to you in that ring." Bridgette said as she left Funaki.
"Okay..." Fuanki said as he found Izzy.
"Izzy...you are defending the women's title against Dawn, LeShawna, and Heather in a fatal four way elimination TLC Deathmatch tonight and how are you going to prepare for that?" Funaki asked her.
"I am just gonna fight hard until the end where I come out as the last woman standing." Izzy said to him.
"Let's go to former WWE Interviewer Kevin Kelly." Funaki said as the camera was now with Kevin Kelly as Geoff and Brody were getting ready for their title defense against the Hardys.
"Geoff, Brody...you are in a TLC match for the TDW Tag Team Championship against the Hardys as Geoff is also facing Alejandro for the TDW World Heavyweight Championship with Devon Joseph as the referee...now Geoff are you prepared to handle that kind of double duty?" Kevin asked Geoff.
"Kevin...sir, I have traveled over the world...jumped off a waterfall, got bit by ants, ice sculpted something out of my nipples...and all of that with Brody without my Bridgey Bear by my side. I can handle a TLC Match without her by my side...normally I would want her with me but she just got out of the hospital and she needs to take it easy. As for the TLC Match...we will walk out of Atlanta, still the TDW Tag Team Champs and I will retain my World Title against Alejandro." Geoff told Kevin.
"Brody...anything to add?" Kevin asked him.
"We will Rock the Phillips Arena against the Hardys!" Brody said as the crowd cheered.
"Okay...The Surfer Bros against The Hardys in a TLC Match for the TDW Tag Team Championships. Mauro Ranallo and CM Punk back to you." Kevin said as now we go back to the kickoff panel.
"Okay thanks Kevin and we are just less than two minutes away from the start of SummerBash as we go to ringside with Matt Striker, Jim Ross, and Joey Styles." Mauro Ranallo said as the camera went to the main ringside area.
"Thanks a bunch Mauro Ranallo and CM Punk who will be facing Mickey Gall in CM Punk's UFC Debut in September...as I'm Matt Striker, alongside with WWE Hall of Famer and one of the greatest ever in Jim Ross and Joey Styles." Matt Striker said as he introduced himself and the rest of the commentating team.
"Now we have 12 great matches for you nd we are about to get started to thanks for watching the Kickoff Show and I hope you enjoy...SummerBash." Jim Ross said as the camera faded to black.
I apologize if the first Kickoff Show sucks but I'm new at it so give me a break.
Next is the opening contest of the pay-per-view if you are not counting the Kickoff show which is the Ice Dancers vs. The Cadets.
