Chapter 37: Hero of the Year
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. Sorry about the wait but it took a while for me to work out what to use from the movie and where to be original. Anyway I think you'll like the surprises I have in store. Please Review and Enjoy.
It was a few days before the Hero of the Year ceremony and the nominees were starting to get nervous about who the winner was gonna be.
In the Student Lounge, Kitty was watching TV with Miles, Tatsu and Diana were polishing their shield and sword, Mary Jane was typing on her laptop, and Zee was helping Kara with her homework when Jaden walks in.
"Alright folks, J. Jonah Jameson here with the nightly news." Jameson said appearing on TV.
"Oh not this guy again." Miles groans.
"What's he gonna bash me for this time?" Jaden asks.
"I can't believe that guy runs the biggest newspaper in the world." MJ sighs.
"Hero of the Year is coming up folks and there are many fine heroes on the ballot this year. But I think Waller has made a mistake. There is one hero who doesn't belong. That's right Spider-Man I'm talking to you!" Jameson said.
"Oh god." Kitty groans.
"Doesn't he ever leave you alone?" Diana asks.
"And if that's not bad enough we now have more public menaces joining him!" Jameson said as Spider-Man was fighting with Spider-Woman, Jolt Arachnid and Shadowcat and the battle ends up destroying a food truck.
"Hey give us break!" Kitty said.
"We're just rookies!" Miles said.
"Listen up Spider-Man people like you don't deserve an award you deserve a prison cell!" He snaps as MJ turns off the TV.
"I can't believe people listen to this guy." Kara said.
"Maybe it's the fact that he's always angry." MJ suggests.
"Attitude like that usually gets a guy fired." Tatsu said.
"If only." Zee said.
"Hey guys." Jaden said getting their attention. "I uh got some big news and I need your help. My mom's coming here for Hero of the Year."
"Oh Jaden that's great." Diana smiles.
"Yeah I can't wait to meet her." Kara said.
"Yeah, yeah it should be great. Oh one more thing she doesn't know I'm Spider-Man so if you can help me do a few things. Nothing big just hide my suit, take me off the ballot for Hero of the Year and don't say anything at all to her about this while she's here."
"I'm sorry what?" Zee asks.
"Jaden this is insane." Barbara said walking in behind him. "You've been Spider-Man for almost a year, you go to Super Hero High, you're an Avenger. You have to tell your mother!"
"Barbara I can't." Jaden said.
"Whoa, back up Tiger. Your mom doesn't know about this? How?" Mary Jane asks.
"You got to a school for heroes. What do you say to her?" Kitty asks.
"Same thing I told you guys that I'm the new IT guy." Jaden admits.
"Jaden what's the worst that can happen?" Barbara asks.
"Look you guys don't get it. My dad's last words to me before he died were to take care of my mom. If I get her involved in all this hero stuff she could get hurt and I can't put her through that." Jaden admits.
"But Jaden if you keep lying to her, she'll be just as hurt." Diana said.
"I just…want to keep her safe." Jaden said.
"She's your mom Jaden, she'll love you no matter what." Zee said.
"I hope so." Jaden said.
"So are you still thinking of pulling out of the Hero of the Year?" Kitty asks.
"Nah I guess not." Jaden said.
"There's the Jaden we all know and love." MJ smiles.
"Thanks you guys." Jaden smiles.
As all of them went to their rooms, Jaden hung his suit up.
"Oh I really hope Mom isn't angry when she finds out." Jaden sighs when he hears a knock at the door. "Coming."
Walking over to it, Jaden opens the door to reveal Tatsu.
"Hey Tatsu what's up?" Jaden asks.
"I thought you might like someone to talk to. Do you mind?" Tatsu asks.
"I guess not." Jaden said as he let her in.
Looking around Tatsu saw a picture of Jaden with his parents on his desk.
"This is your family." Tatsu asks picking it up.
"Yeah that's me, my mom and my dad. That was taken last year on my birthday, it was before I got my powers." Jaden said.
"It must have been hard losing a parent." Tatsu frowns putting it down.
"I had a good life before I became Spider-Man, it wasn't the most exciting but I was happy with it. Then one day my peaceful, calm and boring life was changed forever." Jaden sighs sitting down.
"You want to protect your mother I can understand that, but keeping her in the dark isn't the right answer." Tatsu said.
"I know Tatsu, but I've been lying to her for so long." Jaden said.
"It will hurt, but in time she'll forgive you." Tatsu said before holding out her sword to him. "See this?"
"Yeah it's your weapon of choice." Jaden said.
"Yes, I gave myself the name Katana in tribute to the weapon I use. During my training, I was taught that this is more than just a weapon but a part of me as well." Tatsu said putting it in his hands.
"A little heavier than I thought it would be." Jaden said.
"I trust you with a part of who I am. That's what you need to do when you tell your mother. Give her that part of you and trust she will take good care of it." Tatsu smiles.
Jaden looks up at Tatsu's caring eye and beautiful smile. "Thanks Tatsu I needed that." Putting the sword down Jaden gave Tatsu a hug surprising her at first but she happily hugged back.
"Just don't expect me to let you win Hero of the Year that easily." Tatsu smirks.
"You may be an Avenger but I don't plan on going easy on you." Jaden said causing her to giggle. "Here, as cool as this is. It belongs to you." Jaden reaches down and hands her back her sword.
"Thank you, Jaden." Tatsu smiles before walking out.
As she closed the door Jaden never realized just how amazing she really was.
Hours later, everyone was sound asleep in their beds. In Barbara's room, her computer suddenly went off.
"Intruder located in sector D!" Oracle said.
"Thanks Oracle. Hero time!" Barbara said into her bracelet calling whatever heroes that would wake up.
Getting the signal Spider-Man swung out of his room with Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Bumblebee and Iron Fist.
"Oracle says the intruder is nearby." Batgirl said.
"That's weird, my spider-sense isn't detecting any danger." Spider-Man said when they heard movement from a classroom.
"This way." Wonder Woman said as they ran inside to see Big Barda.
"Big Barda?" Spider-Man said surprised.
"Spidey." Big Barda smiles when Wonder Woman flew in.
"How'd you get back here?" Wonder Woman asks.
"Whoa!" Big Barda said dodging her attack.
"You will not take our school again!" Iron Fist said leaping at her but Big Barda drew her rod and deflected his attack.
"Wait guys!" Spider-Man said but no one listened.
Supergirl and Bumblebee fired their attacks forcing Big Barda to dodge.
"Spider-Man help!" Big Barda said when Wonder Woman blocked her.
"Oh he'll help. Help take you back to Belle Reve." Wonder Woman said.
"No!" Big Barda raised her rod and slammed it down. Acting quickly Wonder Woman raised her shield but the impact caused her shield to crack. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry."
Using this opening Batgirl tied up her feet.
"STOP!" Spider-Man said jumping in front of Big Barda.
"What is going on here?" Waller asks as she and Phil Coulson walked in turning on the lights.
"Don't you kids know when lights out is?" Phil asks.
"Principal Waller, Agent Coulson we have captured known criminal Big Barda." Wonder Woman said.
"She's not a criminal she's a new student." Phil said surprising them.
"That's what I was trying to say." Spider-Man said cutting her free.
"What?" Bumblebee asks when Supergirl noticed some papers.
"Guys she tricked you. Look at her evil plans." Supergirl said handing it to Phil.
"This is her class schedule." Phil said.
"I wanted to make sure where all my classes were." Big Barda said.
"But how were you even able to get into this school? This is for heroes, not villians." Batgirl said.
"I got a recommendation and after some screening and background checks I was able to be a student." Big Barda explains.
"Who would recommend you?" Iron Fist asks.
"I did." Spider-Man said pointing to himself surprising them.
"You? Why?" Supergirl asks.
"A few weeks ago, Big Barda helped me, Katana and Frost stop the other Female Furies from escaping and helped save a life. She's got the potential to be a hero and I wanted to give her a chance." Spider-Man said.
"And you guys believe her?" Bumblebee said.
"We believe Spider-Man and if he thinks she has a chance I say she deserves one. I want all of you to make her feel welcome." Waller said.
"Show Big Barda to her dorm room and then all of you get to bed." Phil said as the two adults left.
"Uh sorry about that." Wonder Woman cringed.
"It's okay." Big Barda said.
"Forgive my reckless actions. I look forward to fighting alongside you in future battles." Iron Fist bows.
"Uh no problem." Big Barda said before looking to Spider-Man. "Do I bow too?"
"No you're fine." Spider-Man said as they led Big Bard to her dorm room.
"This is your dorm room." Wonder Woman said as Big Barda walked in.
"Whoa cool." Big Barda smiles.
"You can trick it out with whatever decorations you brought from home." Wonder Woman said.
"All I have is this." Big Barda holds up her rod. "Apokolips isn't my home anymore. Darkseid isn't big on girls who go good. Guess that makes me a stray like blondie." Big Barda said pointing to Supergirl.
"Me?" Supergirl asks.
"I mean getting kicked out is a lot less dramatic than getting your whole planet blown up." Big Barda chuckles nervously. "Uh sorry small talk was never my thing."
"We better get some rest. We have a lot of preparations tomorrow for the Hero of the Year celebration this weekend." Wonder Woman said.
"Night." Big Barda said as they walked away.
As Jaden walked by a lab he saw sparks going off. Readying his web-shooters Jaden opened the door only to see Tony Stark working on something.
"Mr. Stark?" Jaden said surprised getting his attention.
"Well looks like I'm not the only one that couldn't sleep. What's up webs?" Tony smiles as Jaden walked in.
"What are you working on so late at night?" Jaden asks.
"A little surprise for Hero of the Year. My money is on you winning the whole thing." Tony smirks.
"Me?" Jaden said surprised.
"Why not you? Not one of the other applicants has done half the things you've done." Tony smiles.
"I just don't want to get too ahead of myself." Jaden said.
"Don't worry you'll feel better after you win." Tony said clapping him on the back. "Trust me kid, you've got this in the bag and when you win I'm gonna set off a whole chain of fireworks before you get a special surprise."
"Mr. Stark that's not really necessary." Jaden said.
"Trust me you're gonna love it." Tony said.
"If you say so." Jaden said walking away.
"I know so." Tony said walking back to what he was working on we see a yellow Spider-man logo.
In Supergirl's room, Kara was in her room sketching something when Barbara walks in.
"I thought Jaden and I were the only night owls. What are you doing up?" She asks.
"Couldn't go back to sleep." Kara said when Barbara noticed her sketch.
"Wow, who are they?" Barbara asks.
"My parents. I don't wanna forget what they look like, but art's not my thing." Kara said.
"Follow me." Barbara said leading her to her room. "State of the art police sketch program, but this will work too."
Soon a perfect picture of Kara's parents appeared.
"It looks just like them." Kara smiles.
Walking back to her room, Kara hung it up on her wall by her bed. "I bet you guys would have loved to see this place. And I bet you would have really loved to meet Jaden."
As Kara closed her eyes and went to sleep her necklace glowed.
The next day in class, James Gordon was at the board writing down today's lecture as the heroes wandered in.
"Hey Commissioner Gordon." Wonder Woman and Bumblebee said walking in.
"Hey dad." Batgirl said.
"Come on Babs sit up front with me." He said.
"Sorry I'd rather sit in the back with my friends." Batgirl said walking over to sit with Supergirl.
"Boy Commissioner Gordon is really clingy." Shadowcat said as Spider-Man sat down with her, Spiderwoman and Jolt Arachnid.
"You should have seen him when Batgirl joined the Avengers." Spider-Man said.
"Good thing our parents don't teach here." Spiderwoman said.
"Alright students for today's Forensics assignment you'll need to team up in pairs." Commissioner Gordon said horrifying Hawkgirl as people paired up.
"Partner? Uh Cyborg wanna team up?" Hawkgirl asks.
"Sorry Hawkgirl me and Katana make an awesome team." Cyborg said.
"Shadowcat?" Hawkgirl asks.
"Sorry but Miss Martian asked me to be her partner." Shadowcat smiles.
"Spider-Man?" Hawkgirl looks to see he partnered with Catwoman. "Zatanna?" Looking over Zatanna paired up with Iron Fist. "Batgirl? Wonder Woman? Oh no." Hawkgirl sighs seeing only one person was left.
"What up partner?" Beastboy asks landing next to her.
"Beastboy." Hawkgirl sighs.
"Let's get Forensics." Beastboy smiles when Brian Banner walks in.
"Sorry I'm late." Brian said.
"Oh Mr. Banner. I'm sorry but everyone has already teamed up." Commissioner Gordon said.
"Oh man." Brian sighs when Hawkgirl raised her hand seeing a chance.
"Uh sir, if he doesn't mind he can team up with me and Beastboy." Hawkgirl offers.
"It's alright with me." Brian said.
"Go ahead." He nods as Brian walks over.
"Thanks for letting me work with you." Brian smiles sitting down.
"Sweet, Hulk's in our group. Come on man smash this assignment." Beastboy said causing Brian to chuckle.
"Sorry but Forensics is not a specialty of Hulk. I'm afraid you're stuck with me." Brian smirks.
"Aw man." Beastboy groans.
"Well I'm fine as long as you can help me solve this." Hawkgirl said handing him some papers.
As everyone got to work Hawkgirl and Brian were struggling to figure it out.
"Oh yeah I got it." Beastboy said.
"You figured it out?" Brian asks only to see Beastboy was a dog and scratching himself.
"No I finally got that itch." Beastboy said.
"We have an assignment. Quit monkeying around." Hawkgirl said.
"I wasn't monkeying around; this is monkeying around." Beastboy said turning into a monkey and swinging around the classroom.
"Beastboy get down from there!" Commissioner Gordon said stopping him forcing Beastboy to go back to his seat.
"Aw man, everyone's always nagging me. Stop this, or don't do that, or you're not Avenger material Beastboy." Beastboy said.
"You tried to get on the Avengers?" Brian asks.
"Yeah but Iron Man said if they were stuck with a green guy, they'd choose Hulk before me." Beastboy groans.
"Well the Hulk is a game changer." Brian said nervously.
"If you want people to take you seriously as a hero you can't be so wild." Hawkgirl said.
"Could you guys teach me?" Beastboy asks hopefully.
"You want the Hulk to teach you not to be wild? Bad idea man." Brian smirks.
"No way, you need a lion tamer or a horse whisperer." Hawkgirl chuckles.
"Please." Beastboy begs.
"We'll think about it." Hawkgirl said.
"No promises." Brian said.
"Aw yeah!" Beastboy cheers.
After class, everyone was outside setting up for the ceremony tomorrow.
"Beautiful work Ivy." Crazy Quilt said as Ivy lined up roses along the hedges. "Love the sparkles Star Sapphire. Cheetah! Put that trophy back where you found it!"
"Put that back where you found it." Cheetah mutters when Lois Lane walks in.
"Hmm where's Mary Jane?" Lois asks looking at her watch.
"Lois!" Lois turns to see MJ running over panting heavily.
"Where have you been?" Lois asks.
"Sorry had to take care of a few things." MJ said.
"Where's Jaden?" Lois asks looking around.
"Sorry but he's got other things to deal with at the moment." MJ said.
"Aw man. I was really hoping to see him." Lois said but Mary Jane just narrows her eyes.
"Uh Lois the interview." She reminds.
"Oh right, thanks." Lois said as she handed MJ a mic and turned to the camera. "Hey everyone this is Lois Lane and Mary Jane Watson."
"We're coming to you live at preparation for the annual Hero of the Year. There are two nominees Cyborg and Hawkgirl." MJ said pointing the camera to them.
"Hey girls." Hawkgirl waves.
"Hey shout out to all my fans! Can I get a booyah?" Cyborg asks as they put down a statue.
"And there's two more, Katana and Zatanna." Lois points as Katana tossed fabric into the air and cut them into paper dolls while Zatanna used her magic to hang them from the trees.
"And here's Black Panther and Lady Shiva." Mary Jane said walking up to them.
"Tell us what it feels like to be nominated for Hero of the Year." Lois said.
"It is a great honor, one that I plan to wear with pride." Black Panther said.
"I have not felt such pride since I vanquished an army of Boogeymonsters using only my left pinkie toe." Shiva said before they left to get to work.
"Intense." Mary Jane said as the two of them threw banners up.
"I'll say and there are three more. Wonder Woman, Bumblebee and everyone's favorite neighborhood Spider-Man." Lois said pointing to the three heroes who were with Jolt Arachnid, Supergirl and Batgirl.
"Hey guys, are you excited to see which hero among all of you is the best of the best?" MJ asks.
"Well I'm not gonna lie the competition is tough this year." Spider-Man said.
"What about you Bumblebee?" Lois asks.
"Honestly I'm good but I think it's probably gonna come down to Wonder Woman and Spider-Man here." Bumblebee said.
"Aww thanks." Wonder Woman said.
"Jolt Arachnid, Batgirl, Supergirl since you guys are new students you didn't meet the minimum time requirements to be nominated. Who do you think should win?" Lois asks.
"Oh…uh." The three of them pause not sure what to say.
"Harley Quinn here!" Harley said interrupting them. "I first dreamed of this when I saw my first super on the TV."
"Hey kids you better get up here." Iron Man said calling Batgirl.
"What's wrong?" Batgirl answered.
"Something's up with the amethyst. Get over here ASAP." Iron Man said.
Nodding the 6 heroes flew or swung up to the top level to see Iron Man, Captain America and Doctor Strange.
"What's going on?" Jolt Arachnid asks.
"That." Captain America points and they saw a strange black substance at the base of the amethyst.
"Eww, it looks infected." Bumblebee said.
"Really? We had no idea." Iron Man rolls his eyes.
"We're trying to figure out what's wrong with it, but security shows no one has come up here in weeks." Doctor Strange said as Batgirl scanned the area.
"No sign of any tresspassers." Batgirl said as Waller came in with Lois and MJ right behind her.
"I got the alert, what's going on?" Waller asks.
"Breaking news, something's going on with the amethyst." Lois said into her phone.
"Lois, Mary Jane I have to ask that you two please leave. This is top secret." Waller said.
"B-But." Lois stutters.
"You heard her Lois, sorry." MJ said leading her into the elevator.
"I'm here for the secret meeting." Hawkgirl said flying in.
"How did you know about this meeting?" Spider-Man asks.
"Lois just posted it." Hawkgirl said showing them her phone.
"You kids look at your phones way too much." Captain America sighs.
"I've never seen the amethyst do this before. Until this is resolved I want watchman around the clock." Waller orders.
"I call first shift." Hawkgirl said.
"Excellent Hawkgirl, Wonder Woman can you make the guard schedule?" Waller asks.
"Of course." Wonder Woman nods.
In a meeting room, Wonder Woman had gathered the Avengers as well as Beastboy, Brian Banner, Cyborg, Frost, Flash, Poison Ivy, Harley, Spider-Woman, Shadowcat, Jolt Arachnid, Bumblebee, and Lady Shiva.
"Alright everyone until this Amethyst thing resolves itself we all need to be on high alert." Wonder Woman said when Big Barda walked by.
"Uh did my invite to the party get lost in the mail?" Big Barda asks and immediately Lady Shiva jumped up.
"Big Barda! Lead warrior in the Female Furies and active in the attempt to conquer Super Hero High!" Lady Shiva said taking a fighting stance.
"Whoa girl calm down. Big Barda's a student here now." Spider-Man said.
"Where's the hidden camera? Is this a prank, Harley?" Lady Shiva asks.
"Oh I wish. This would have been a doozy." Harley said.
"Seriously? Principal Waller let her in?" Lady Shiva asks.
"Yep, Frost and Katana backed me up when Waller wanted her to join." Spider-Man said.
"She was a good alley." Katana said.
"If it wasn't for her we would have been in trouble at Belle Reve." Frost nods causing Big Barda to smile.
'At least some want me around.' She thought before Shiva gave her the I'm watching you look.
"Sorry she's just made because of the whole mind control and take over the school thing." Batgirl said.
"Yeah sorry, but I'm here to help." Big Barda said.
"Then you can have the next shift after Hawkgirl." Wonder Woman said.
"Really?" Lady Shiva said.
"She wants to help so we should let her." Wonder Woman said.
"But that doesn't mean you should let your guard down. Get your swords and claws sharpened, stingers and web shooters and whatever else you guys have ready at the ready." Spider-Man said.
"Batgirl, Black Panther can you guys fix my shield? It got damaged last night." Wonder Woman said holding up her cracked shield.
"Sorry." Big Barda apologized.
"Sorry you need someone who knows metal." Batgirl said handing it to Black Panther.
"If it was Vibranium I could have this fixed easily, but I'm afraid you'll have to take this to whoever forged this shield." Black Panther said.
"Sounds like a job for the Master Alchemist of Theymscria. Who's up for a field trip?" Wonder Woman asks.
"I am." Supergirl, Batgirl and Bumblebee said.
"I'll come too." Captain America said walking in.
"We should probably take the Batjet." Spider-Man said.
"I don't know, my dad doesn't like me flying halfway around the world." Batgirl said.
"Don't worry I'll take the heat." Captain America said as they walked out.
As Spider-Man was about to walk away Wonder Woman grabbed him.
"Where are you going?" She asks.
"Uh to patrol." Spider-Man said.
"Not today you're coming with me to Themyscria." Wonder Woman said.
"I am?" Spider-Man said surprised as he took off his mask. "Diana are you sure?"
"Absolutely. I want my mom to meet my boyfriend." She smiles.
"I don't know." Jaden said nervously.
"Please." Diana begs.
"Oh alright." Jaden sighs.
"Yes." Diana said pecking him on the cheek before they left.
That night, Hawkgirl was near the amethyst on the lookout for any evil before flying down and pretending she won Hero of the Year, but little did she know the black substance on the amethyst jumped down to form a man with pale skin and black clothing, this was Dark Opal.
"I'd like to thank my parents for being the wind beneath my wings or rather for giving me my belt from Thanagar which gives me the power to fly. I couldn't have won this award without it." Hawkgirl said when she heard clapping.
"Bravo." Dark Opal said drawing a sword and attacking her.
Swinging her mace, Hawkgirl knocked his sword out of his hands.
"For attacking a student, two demerits!" She declared taking flight.
"Only 2? That will never do for an overachiever like me. How about 200?!" Firing a glowing sphere it smashed into Hawkgirl knocking her down a level and crashing to the ground.
Grinning Dark Opal takes Hawkgirl's belt. "Nth metal from the planet Thanagar. What a wonderful start."
Down below, Spider-Man Captain America, Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl and Bumblebee were making their way towards the Batjet.
"Aunt Martha it's just a quick ride to Theymscria and back." Kara said.
"Alright just be sure to come by the farm after Hero of the Year to celebrate." Martha said.
"Wouldn't miss it. Your mashed potatoes are the bomb." Bumblebee said.
"You should invite your mom to come with us after too." Barbara said looking at Jaden.
"Maybe, assuming she doesn't freak out when she finds out I'm Spider-Man." Jaden sighs.
"Jaden give your mom a little credit. She might surprise you. Parents can be very understanding. I mean only a few months ago I discovered Diana's my daughter." Captain America said.
"And you already know so much about me. My mom still thinks I like olives. Blech." Diana said sticking her tongue out in disgust.
"I guess I'll try." Jaden said as they climbed aboard, but little did they know a shadow creature followed them and attached themselves to the Batjet.
At Themyscria, Hippolyta was walking to the front of her palace as the Batjet landed and Captain America and Diana stepped out first.
"Princess!"
"My King, you've returned!"
"Hello ladies, great to see you all again." Steve said taking off his mask before walking up to Hippolyta and hugged her. "Hi honey."
"Good to see you Steve." Hippolyta smiles as Diana walked over. "Diana, the whole family together again."
"I can't stay long. I just need my shield fixed." She said holding it out.
"The only one who can repair Themyscrian Ore is the Master Alchemist." Hippolyta said handing it to an old woman.
"It would be my honor." She said as Barbara, Kara and Karen walked out to be greeted happily but when Jaden stepped out he was met with spears.
"Oh I remember you girls from the wedding, are those new spears?" Jaden said nervously.
"Amazons, weapons down. That man is not to be harmed." Diana orders as they grudgingly stepped back.
"Uh hi your majesty, remember me? I helped your daughter find Cap in the first place." Jaden said slowly walking forward.
"Oh yes." Hippolyta recalls. "You took a big risk coming here, why?"
"Well mom you see not too long after we found dad…Jaden became my boyfriend." Diana admits causing Hippolyta's eyes to widen.
"Uh oh." Karen cringed.
Hippolyta slowly walks up to Jaden and boy was he terrified. "Do you approve of this?" Hippolyta asks looking towards her husband.
"Yes, Jaden is a fine young man and Diana really cares for him and he does for her." Steve nods.
"I'm keeping my eye on you." Hippolyta said before walking away.
"Are you okay?" Barbara asks.
"She is…terrifying." Jaden shudders.
"I know, don't you love that side of her?" Steve smiles.
"No not really." Jaden said.
"Come on guys, we'll show you around our home." Diana said leading them in.
"Home." Kara frowns when suddenly her crystal glowed and she found herself back on Krypton and her mother was waiting for her.
"Kara how was your ride?" She asks.
"Great, look at what I found." Kara said holding up her crystal.
"A nemisine crystal. Once we get this polished it will be very powerful." She said as the light died away and Kara was back on Theymscria.
"Hey Kara!" Kara looks up to see Jaden waving. "Hurry up we don't wanna be left behind."
"Coming." Kara said flying after them not noticing the shadow creature slipping away.
In the main hall, Jaden was a little nervous as all the amazons were glaring at him.
"Are you okay?" Barbara asks.
"I feel like all the women in this place wanna kill me right now." Jaden said.
"I think that's because they do. I guess your Coop Factor isn't that great after all." Barbara smirks.
"Barbara." Jaden whimpers.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure no one kills you and so will Kara, Diana and Cap. We don't wanna kill you at least." She assured.
"Are you sure?" Jaden asks.
"As long as you're with me, they won't touch you." Diana assured when two guards glared at Jaden and almost instantly he clung to Diana like she was his lifeline.
"Don't leave my side for even a second." Jaden said holding her hand.
"If you say so." Diana said hiding her joy. 'I should bring him here more often.'
"So Kara if you want to stay here for break this will be your room." Steve said showing a guest room.
"You're not gonna stay with the Kents?" Jaden asks.
"I don't know. I mean they're nice, but I don't wanna be a burden." Kara said.
"Well it'll lonely if Diana losses Hero of the Year." Jaden said.
"What makes you think my daughter will lose?" Hippolyta asks suspicious.
"Well Jaden and I made a bet and if I lose, I spend the break in Metropolis hanging out with Jaden." Diana admits.
"Excuse me?" Hippolyta said her hand moving towards a sword but Steve stops her. "Calm down sweetie."
"Yeah if I lose Diana gets something from me too." Jaden admits.
"Don't kill him mom. It was just a friendly competition wager." Diana said.
"Hippolyta why don't we show them your favorite room?" Steve suggests trying to calm her down.
"Ooh good idea." Hippolyta said instantly smiling.
"Mom, no. Not that room, it's embarrassing." Diana whispers.
"Oh now we have to see it." Karen grins.
"Hey Barbara." Kara said tapping her on the shoulder. "Something's up with my crystal. When I touched it I saw something."
"Weird. I'll run some tests when we get back." Barbara said
Opening a room they saw it was full of trophies.
"Wow, you've got a lot of awards." Jaden said impressed.
"That's just from this year. I have a whole wing for her other awards." Hippolyta smiles.
"Another plus to having a mom who doesn't know I'm a hero." Jaden whispers.
"Wanna trade?" Diana whispers back.
"Diana I want to show you something." Hippolyta said revealing an empty trophy case.
"Wow, an invisible trophy." Karen said.
"This is where we'll put your Hero of the Year trophy." Hippolyta declared.
"But mom I haven't won yet. The competition is fierce. I think Bumblebee has a good chance." Diana said.
"Girl please. Jaden's your only real competition. Everyone knows it's gonna come down to you two." Karen points.
"Really?" Hippolyta said turning to Jaden. "Well boy if you claim to love my daughter then you should surrender and let her win."
"Mom." Diana said embarrassed.
"Hippolyta, something like this should not be earned through forfeit." Steve said.
"Right sorry, come we feast." Hippolyta said walking out.
"This is the worst." Diana sighs.
"I know how you feel." Jaden said surprising her. "Mr. Stark is acting like I have this whole thing in the bag too."
"Is Iron Man planning on putting on a big ceremony for you if you win?" Diana asks.
"And huge firework finale with a mysterious gift." Jaden sighs.
"Yikes, sounds like we're in the same boat." Diana cringed.
"Yeah…but at least it's nice to know I have someone who's going through the same thing as me." Jaden smiles.
"Yeah it is." Diana smiles kissing him on the lips before they followed everyone.
Walking to the main dining room, a huge table of food with a lot of olives were set up.
"Who wants olives? Diana?" Hippolyta asks.
"Mom I don't like olives." Diana said.
"Since when? It's in our blood to like olives." Hippolyta said.
"Our first date, I had to eat a whole jar of them." Steve whispers.
"Well more for me." Karen said flying in and taking a whole bowl.
"Your shield princess." The master alchemist said walking in with it fully restored.
"It's perfect. Thank you." Diana smiles picking it up.
"May this shield bring you as many victories as your father from his." The Master Alchemist said.
"Of course she'll win." Hippolyta said walking over and hugging her daughter forcing Jaden to let go. "I was gonna wait until after the ceremony but why wait since you're here."
As Hippolyta led the girls out, Jaden looked to Steve.
"Is she always like this?" Jaden asks.
"Hippolyta gets really excited and let me tell you when I came back and the three of us became a family, she's been extra happy lately." Steve said.
"I guess that's a good thing but she's really getting ahead of herself." Jaden said.
"Well imagine how your mom would react if she saw you now." Steve said walking ahead.
"Yeah how would she?" Jaden pauses before walking down the hall when his spider-sense went off. "Huh?"
Looking around Jaden saw nothing was there. "That's weird."
As he walked away the shadow creature came out of hiding from behind the pillars.
In the other room, Hippolyta opened a small chest to reveal a silver tiara with a ruby in the middle.
"The Tiara of Triumph." Hippolyta said.
"Hello." Diana smiles.
"Your mother wore that back in World War 2 whenever we fought Hydra together." Steve smiles.
"And just like the name, we triumphed every time." Hippolyta smiles.
Diana reached out to grab it when suddenly the shadow creature lunged out and swiped it.
"What the?!" Jaden gasps as the tiara fell out minus the ruby.
"Oh my Hera! The Ruby!" Hippolyta gasps as Jaden and Steve charged in.
Ducking down into the shadows the shadow creature lunged at Bumblebee knocking her to the ground damaging her tech.
Firing two webs Jaden tries to catch it but the shadow creature dodges them until Steve smacked it in the face with his shield making it crash towards the balcony.
Seeing it was outnumbered, the shadow creature made its escape into the forest.
"It's gone." Diana gasps when Barbara puts on some UV goggles.
"Down there!" She points.
"What is that thing?" Karen asks.
"We'll find out when we catch it!" Jaden said as the 5 of them chased after it but when Karen tried to follow her wings shut down and she fell towards the ground.
"Karen!" All of them gasp as Diana, Barbara and Kara tried to catch her but ended up smashing into each other and Karen landed on top of them.
"Thanks for breaking my fall." Karen said as Jaden landed down.
"What happened back there?" Jaden asks.
"I don't know, the power just shorted out." Karen said.
"Talk about a buzzkill." Barbara smirks.
"You've been going on too many patrols with Jaden if you're making puns now." Karen smirks.
"What can I say? That's why Batgirl's my partner." Jaden smirks helping them up.
"Anyone see where that thing went?" Diana asks.
"No." Barbara said putting her goggles back on.
Back at the Bat Jet, Diana told her mom the bad news.
"The amazons will search high and low for the creature and reclaim your tiara in time for the ceremony tomorrow." Hippolyta said.
"Thanks mom." Diana smiles as Hippolyta pulls her and Steve into a hug.
"I am so proud of you. You really do take after us." Hippolyta said.
"I love you both so much." Diana smiles.
"Well we better get home. Got a lot to do for tomorrow." Steve said.
"Bye mom." Diana said flying back to the ship as Jaden walked over Hippolyta narrows her eyes and gives him the I'm watching you sign causing Jaden to gulp before they left.
Up above on the hill, the Master Alchemist was watching them leave.
"Godspeed sweet princess." She said when a dark portal opened up and something grabbed her before she even realized what happened.
Back at Super Hero High, all of them suited up and walked out to see Commissioner Gordon running towards them.
"Barbara! What took you so long? I was worried sick." He said.
"Dad you knew I had an off campus pass from Principal Waller and Captain America was escorting us to Themyscira." Batgirl said.
"With all do respect sir, your daughter is an Avenger she can take care of herself." Captain America said.
"Well I approved this before a supervillain was attacking students." Gordon said surprising them.
"What?" Spider-Man said.
"Big Barda found Hawkgirl unconscious. Apparently, someone came out of the amethyst and stole her Nth Metal belt." He explained shocking them.
In the clubroom, Batgirl, Flash, Bumblebee and Spider-Woman were hard at work.
"So last night someone attacked Hawkgirl and just a few hours ago something stole Wonder Woman's tiara." Bumblebee said.
"That makes two cases of grand larceny." Hawkgirl said as she, Brian and Beastboy walk in.
"Hawkgirl? Shouldn't you be resting?" Spider-Woman asks.
"Heroes never rest. Write that down." Hawkgirl said looking to Beastboy.
"You got it mama." Beastboy said.
"Don't call me mama. Write that down as well." Hawkgirl said.
"You got it, not mama." Beastboy said.
"What's up Brian? Why are you and Beastboy hanging with Hawkgirl?" Bumblebee asks.
"Nominees for Hero of the Year get extra points for helping other heroes succeed. So I'm helping Beastboy and incase that guy comes back I've convinced Brian to go Hulk on that thief to get my belt back." Hawkgirl said.
"I'll smash him into the ground." Brian said pounding his fist together.
"He may have stolen my belt but he will not steal my chance at Hero of the Year. Beastboy show them what we found out." Hawkgirl said.
"Get this, our Amethyst is so powerful it's got enough juice in it to make a link to Gem World." Beastboy said.
"The portal's been inactive for decades, until now." Hawkgirl said putting up a picture of Dark Opal. "That's our guy, Dark Opal."
"Dark Opal?" Flash said.
"Sounds like a piece of jewelry." Bumblebee said.
"Wait a minute. The gem on Wonder Woman's tiara had a ruby on it. Maybe there's a link to this." Batgirl said.
"Sounds like you guys found a scoop." Spider-Woman said.
"Maybe. Come on Bumblebee." Batgirl said leading her out.
In her lab, Supergirl was sitting down while Batgirl and Bumblebee were examining her crystal.
"Where did you get this crystal?" Batgirl asks.
"From my mom." Supergirl said as she touched it and it glowed again.
This time we find Kara with both her parents as Krypton was being destroyed.
"Go Kara! Hurry!" Her dad said as Kara ran into a rocket.
"Mom, dad hurry!" Kara said.
"Sorry Kara." He said.
"This way I'll always be with you." Her mom said putting the crystal around her neck before closing the ship.
"What?! No! You have to come with me!" Kara said.
"The spaceship only has enough supplies for one. I love you Kara." Her mom said.
"I wish it didn't have to be this way. I love you." Her dad said before activating the ship and a bright light shined bringing her back to present.
"Supergirl?" Batgirl asks shaking her. "You okay? Your crystal got all glowy and you went to La La Land."
"No, Krypton." She said.
"This frequency, it's almost like Morse Code." Batgirl said.
"Could be a signal of some kind." Bumblebee said.
"My mom said she would always be with me. Maybe she programmed it so when she got off Krypton, she could find me." Supergirl smiles.
"But weren't they on Krypton?" Batgirl asks.
"Maybe not! They were really smart scientists, maybe they built another ship." Supergirl said hopeful.
"Supergirl maybe we should wait a little bit before jumping to conclusions." Batgirl said.
"I have to go tell Aunt Martha and Jonathan! My parents are coming!" Supergirl said running out ignoring her.
As Spider-Man was walking down the hall he saw Supergirl flying past him.
"Hey what's the rush?" Spider-Man calls out as Supergirl flew back and hugged him.
"Oh Jaden it's amazing! My parents are coming!" Supergirl smiles.
"Your parents? I thought they blew up when Krypton did." Spider-Man said.
"I know but I think they're trying to communicate with me through this. Lately I've been getting memories of me with them. Maybe they're looking for me. Oh they are gonna freak when I introduce you to them." Supergirl said.
"Supergirl are you sure? I mean are you really sure? How do you know this isn't something else?" Spider-Man asks.
"What's wrong with being excited to see my family?" Supergirl asks.
"The fact that you're ignoring the one you have right now, the Kents." Spider-Man said.
"And I'm grateful but they—"
"Kara when you came here you had nothing. They took you in and raised you as if you were their own. If that's not love I don't know what is." Spider-Man said causing her to pause and think.
"I-I guess." Supergirl said.
"Look when I lost my dad, I felt awful and wished if there was any way to bring him back I would, in fact if it…if it wasn't for my mom, I probably would still be a wreck." Spider-Man realized.
"Jaden?" Supergirl asks.
"I-I need to go." Spider-Man said running off.
Meanwhile as Bumblebee was walking down the halls, sparks came from the back of her suit. "What in the?" Before she had time to react her suit shrunk her down to the size of a bee. "I didn't tell it to shrink! Come on grow!" She tried to activate it but for some reason it didn't work.
That night in the labs, Tony was hard at work at something when Bumblebee flew in.
"If it's a tech issue Iron Man knows more than anyone." Bumblebee said as Tony was working on a metal arm.
"Alright and perfect. All finished." Tony said when Bumblebee flew past him. "Ugh bugs." Tony said trying to swat her away but she kept trying to get his attention. "Will you bac—" Tony grabs her and gasps when he sees it was Bumblebee.
"Don't squash me!" Bumblebee begs.
"Kid what are you doing?" Tony asks but couldn't hear her. "Sorry uh can you turn back to normal size if you're gonna ask me something?"
Growling Bumblebee flew up to his ears and took a deep breath. "I CAN'T! MY SUIT'S BUSTED! I'M STUCK!"
"Aww my ears." Tony said rubbing his ears before realizing what she just said. "Wait a minute, oh crap that's not good."
In Batgirl's room, Bumblebee was under a scanner as Batgirl and Tony got to work.
"See anything?" Bumblebee asks.
"I'm trying to see if there are any problems with your suit." Batgirl said.
"There's the problem. Seems you got some damage to the core battery of your suit." Tony points.
"That must've been damaged when that shadow creature knocked me over." Bumblebee said.
"So we just need a new battery. What do you need? AA? 9 Volts? Watch batteries?" Batgirl asks.
"No the growing takes a lot of power…wait Iron Man don't you have your own chest battery?" Bumblebee asks.
"Chest battery? Oh you mean my Arc Reactor." Tony said pointing to the glow coming from his shirt.
"Would that work? I mean it has enough energy to power all your suits and keep you alive." Batgirl asks as Tony lifted Bumblebee up to show the Arc Reactor in his chest was almost as big as her.
"Sorry kid, and this is my smallest model." Tony cringed.
"This is impossible! I don't have enough energy to grow big and there's not a battery small or powerful enough to charge my suit! I'm gonna be small for the rest of my life! There's no way Miles will stay with me if I'm like this!" Bumblebee said.
"Hey don't talk like that. People thought it was impossible for me when I was captured by terrorists, but I escaped. If I can make an Arc reactor and an Iron Man suit in a cave full of scraps, I can make you big again. We have 3 good minds in this room and if we put our heads together, we can figure this out." Tony said causing Batgirl and Bumblebee to smile.
"Mr. Stark you're my hero." Bumblebee said.
"Yes I am." Tony smirks.
In Jaden's room, Jaden was on the phone.
"Well this is a surprise. I'm seeing you tomorrow morning. Something on your mind?" Maya asks.
"Mom…I never got to thank you for always being there for me. When we lost dad, you stepped up and helped me through it. I wanted to say thank you for all your help and I love you." Jaden said.
"Aww Jaden, I love you too." Maya said touched by this.
"Listen mom, when you come tomorrow there's something important, I need to tell you, but I'm a little nervous." Jaden said holding his Spider-Man mask in his hand.
"Jaden no matter what happens I'll always love you." Maya said causing him to smile.
"Thanks mom. See you tomorrow." Jaden said hanging up.
Laying in bed Jaden puts the mask down on his bedside table. "Tomorrow's the moment of truth." Jaden sighs before going to bed.
As everyone was asleep in their beds, 3 shadow creatures entered the school and searched the rooms.
In Katana's room, Tatsu was sound asleep when one snuck in and grabbed one of her shuriken throwing stars.
In Big Barda's room, one snuck in and stole her rod.
In Black Panther's room, T'Challa was lying in bed when one walked up to his wall and stole a vibranium dagger that was hanging on his wall.
In Star Sapphire's room, one snuck in and stole her ring.
Finally in Supergirl's room, one snuck up to her to take her crystal necklace but when it tried to grab it a bright light shot out and blasted it away.
Heading up towards the amethyst the shadow creatures were teleported to a dark base on the moon where Dark Opal was pacing back and forth while a woman black hair, pale purple skin and her face had two halves, one purple one gray, this was Eclipso.
"They should have returned with the artifacts by now." Dark Opal said.
"Patience. We have waited many moons for the crystal key to reveal itself. Soon darkness will rule." Eclipso said as the three shadow creatures appeared.
"Earthen steel, Mega metal of Apokolips, Wakanda Vibranium, Sapphire of Zamaron plus the Nth metal of Thanagar and ruby of Themyscria." Dark Opal grins when he noticed something. "Where's the key? Where's the crystal of Krypton?"
One of the shadow creatures mimed the situation explaining it to him.
"It appears the crystal is protected by an aura. It can't be stolen. It has to be given by the girl." Dark Opal said.
"Well then you'll just have to give the girl whatever she wants in order to get it. In the meantime, summon the alchemist." Eclipso orders as the Master Alchemist from Theymscria walked in. "You will combine these treasures from across the cosmos into a scepter which will let us rule the universe."
"Never! I will not betray my home!" She snaps.
"My black diamond says otherwise." Eclipso said taking out a black diamond which put the alchemist under her control.
"Yes Master." She said taking the artifacts.
"Now Opal all that's left is the girl." Eclipso said.
"Show me what she wants." Dark Opal said as his gem glowed and he sees the picture of Kara's parents and grins. "Yes of course, whatever she wants."
The next morning at Super Hero High things seemed peaceful until.
"HEY! WHO TOOK MY MEGA ROD?!" Big Barda snaps.
"WHO DARES STEAL MY VIBRANIUM?!" Black Panther snaps.
"SOMEONE STOLE MY THROWING STAR!" Katana snaps.
"MY RING! I'VE BEEN BURGARLED!" Star Sapphire whines.
A few hours later, Maya was walking into Super Hero High with a guest pass around her neck.
"Amazing." Maya smiles looking at the decorations.
"Uh excuse me. You're not supposed to be here." Commissioner Gordon said walking over to her.
"Yes I am. I got a pass for today, my son goes here." Maya said.
"What's your name?" He asks.
"Maya Cooper." She said.
"Cooper? Oh you're Jaden's mom. I'm James Gordon, I'm Barbara's father." He smiles.
"Wow, it's nice to finally meet you." Maya said as he shook her hand.
"I know, this has been long overdue." He smiles.
"Tell me do you know where my son is?" Maya asks.
"He should be around here somewhere. Babs is probably hanging out with her friends. I'll call her and tell her to bring him over. Come in inside we have a lot to talk about." James said.
"Can't wait." Maya smiles unaware that Dark Opal saw them.
"Hmm so they are parents of the Kryptonian's associates. In that case, they deserve special treatment." He grins.
As the day went by Jaden was waiting at the front for his mom before looking at his watch and then his phone. "Hmm she should have been here by now." Jaden said when Batgirl and a still mini Bumblebee walked out.
"Jaden what are you doing here? I thought you were spending the day with your mom." Batgirl asks.
"I've been waiting an hour for her but she hasn't shown up yet. Do you think something's wrong?" Jaden asks.
"I don't know but Jaden we really need your help right now." Bumblebee said.
"Does it have anything to do with why you're small?" Jaden asks.
"Different problem. We need you to suit up." Batgirl said.
"But what if my mom shows up?" Jaden asks.
"We'll be back before you know it. I'm sure she'll show up sooner or later." Batgirl said.
"Alright fine." Jaden said.
"Meet us at the top of the Daily Planet." Batgirl said as she and Bumblebee ran off.
Sighing Jaden sat up. "Try to wait a little longer mom." Jaden said.
At the Daily Planet, Batgirl and Bumblebee were looking around for clues when Spider-Man swung in and landed next to them.
"So what's the problem?" Spider-Man asks.
"Dark Opal has been stealing from the students and Bumblebee's suit is damaged." Batgirl said.
"Wow that's bad." Spider-Man cringed.
"You're telling me and the battery is almost dead." Bumblebee said when Supergirl and Wonder Woman flew in.
"You guys find anything?" Batgirl asks.
"Not unless you count a 2 for 1 deal at Capes and Cowls." Supergirl said.
"No intel on Dark Opal we could really use that spider-sense of yours." Wonder Woman said.
"Doesn't work like that. Only goes off when danger's nearby." Spider-Man said when suddenly Supergirl's crystal started to glow.
"Supergirl you're crystal." Batgirl points.
Gasping Supergirl touches it and sees her mom in front of her.
"Kara, my brave and courageous girl." She smiles.
"Mom?" She gasps.
"We are sending you to Earth and I am deeply sorry we cannot go with you. I have programmed this crystal so that you can remember us." She said.
"But mom." Supergirl said confused.
"The crystal's power will activate when you are old enough to understand. When you need to hear from us our love—" Before she could finish Dark Opal appeared snapping her out of it as a hologram of him appeared in front of the 5 heroes.
"A merry good evening to my favorite Quartet." Dark Opal said causing them to gasp.
"Dark Opal." Wonder Woman said.
"He hacked into my combracelet." Batgirl said as they stood up.
"What do you want Opal? I've got bigger things to worry about than you right now." Spider-Man said.
"Well that's hardly the greeting anyone wants to hear, but none the less I'm calling because I found something of yours." Dark Opal said stepping to the side to reveal James Gordon, Martha and Johnathan Kent, Hippolyta and Maya Cooper in a magical cage.
"Don't listen to him!" James said.
"It's a trap!" Hippolyta said.
"Supergirl stay where you are!" Johanthan said.
"Keep my Jaden safe!" Maya said.
"Mom." Spider-Man said horrified.
"Dad." Batgirl gasps.
"Mom." Wonder Woman said.
"I planned to keep them as pets but I can't handle the maintenance: feeding, walking, it's just not for me. So you can have them back in exchange for Supergirl's crystal. I wasn't sure she'd give it up for the Kents so I grabbed Batgirl and Wonder Woman's parents too. As for this one." Dark Opal said walking up to Maya. "Well let's just say this young lady was just in the wrong place at the wrong time." He grins and though you couldn't see it a look of anger and rage was on Jaden's face. "If you want them alive come to Booster's Goldmine alone and tell no one." He declared before the call ended.
As they turned to Supergirl a serious expression appeared on her face.
"Avengers, let's go save our parents." She declared.
"Sorry Bumblebee, he said only the 4 of us and with your battery running low you should conserve your energy." Batgirl said.
"You guys, I'm not letting you go meet a supervillain alone. Just because I'm not an Avenger doesn't mean I'm not your friend." Bumblebee said.
"Sorry Bumblebee but no dice, only the 4 of us are going. Our parents are on the line." Spider-Man said.
"But Spidey—"
"No buts! We have to do exactly as he says! Bumblebee that woman is the only family I have left and I refuse to lose another parent to a criminal again!" Spider-Man snaps causing all the girls to look at him in shock as he choked on his words before lifting up his mask to show his concerned face. "Please…I couldn't save my dad I can't lose her too."
"Jaden." Batgirl said surprised.
"Alright fine." Bumblebee sighs in defeat before flying off Batgirl's shoulder. "Not much I can do at this size anyway."
As Spider-Man and Batgirl ran to the Batjet, Supergirl and Wonder Woman flew off.
"I may not have a lot of power left, but I'm still a hero." Bumblebee said flying over to the Batjet and grabbing onto the step ladder before they flew off.
At the goldmine, the 5 parents were trapped inside a sphere of black magic.
"You'll never get away with this! Supergirl won't give you her crystal!" Johnathan said pounding against the cage only for it to zap him to the ground.
"Alchemist, bring me the scepter." Eclipso orders as the Alchemist walks out of the shadows with a scepter made from all the artifacts stolen from the students.
"Master Alchemist? But you're an amazon. We're sisters." Hippolyta said.
"Not anymore. I serve darkness now." Alchemist said revealing her black eyes.
"No!" Hippolyta bangs against the cage and gets zapped like Johnathan.
"Guess you two aren't as close as you thought." Maya cringed helping her up.
"Once the crystal of Krypton is set upon the scepter ultimate power will be yours." Alchemist declares.
"Long live Eclipso!" Eclipso smiles raising the scepter.
"And Dark Opal too. Long live us." Dark Opal adds when Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl and Spider-Man ran in with Bumblebee right behind them.
"Aunt Martha! Uncle John!" Supergirl gasps.
"Dad!" Batgirl gasps.
"Mom!" Wonder Woman said.
"M—Maam." Spider-Man said quickly recovering as the three girls ran to the cage only to be zapped by it as well.
"No parents for you unless I get my crystal." Eclipso said.
"Who are you?" Supergirl asks.
"This is Eclipso my business partner. Now that we're introduced it's gift time." Dark Opal grins.
"Supergirl don't do it! If you give them the crystal, they'll use it against you!" Johnathan said.
"But if you don't, they get it." Eclipso said zapping Johnathan making him scream in pain.
"Leave us Supergirl! Save yourself you can still make it out!" Martha said.
"Take it." Supergirl said holding it out.
Grinning Eclipso connects it to the scepter completing it.
"Now release them." Supergirl said.
"Diamond vanish." Eclipso said making the cage disappear causing all the heroes smile at the thought their parents were okay. "And reappear." She said as the cage now appeared around them.
"What the heck?" Spider-Man asks.
"I call it the Eclipso rule of relativity whatever the black diamond vanishes must reappear." Eclipso smirks.
"You call it that. I call it a dick move." Spider-Man growls getting up.
"Well then you'll really hate this one." Eclipso said as a bomb with a 5-minute timer appeared. "The Eclipso Explosive."
"You monster!" Maya snaps.
"I won't let you hurt my daughter!" James said leaping at Eclipso but she fires a blast at him knocking him back.
Moving quickly Hippolyta caught him.
"Try that again and I'll make it even worse for them." Eclipso said zapping the 4 heroes.
As Maya looks over her eyes widen in horror as Spider-Man dropped to his knees in pain.
"Now for my next trick I'll need a volunteer, or 5." Eclipso said raising her black diamond and putting all the parents under her control.
"NO!" Spider-Man gasps.
"Leave them alone!" Supergirl, Wonder Woman and Batgirl said.
From behind Bumblebee noticed the black diamond. "I gotta get that away from her."
"Come with me. Welcome to the Eclipso family." Eclipso grins when Maya started to growl as she slowly walked forward while the other parents growled trying to fight it. "Ah it's so nice to see one loyal servant in the bunch."
"Mom please no." Spider-Man said in horror when he noticed Maya tighten her fist before walking up to Eclipso.
"Are you ready to serve me?" Eclipso asks.
"N-N-No." Maya growls surprising Eclipso as Maya punches her in the face surprising everyone as Eclipso's spell on the other parents broke.
"Y-You struck me? How were you able to break through my spell? No one can break free from my diamond." Eclipso said in shock as Maya glared down at her.
"Never underestimate a mother!" Maya said tackling Eclipso to the ground.
"Whoa… my mom just punched a supervillain." Spider-Man said amazed.
"That's your mother?" Supergirl smiles.
"I'm not surprised, she's as tough as you are." Wonder Woman said.
"That woman would make a fine amazon." Hippolyta smiles.
"Give me that scepter!" Maya said trying to wrestle it out of her grip but Eclipso kicks her to the ground.
"Fine you want to stay with your children? Then you can all be destroyed with them." Eclipso growls.
"Eclipso we have to leave or we'll be destroyed too." Dark Opal said creating a portal.
As Eclipso moved towards the portal Bumblebee flew in and pulled the Black Diamond from her pocket before they disappeared.
Meanwhile, at Super Hero High, everyone was preparing for the Hero of the Year ceremony with Lois and Mary Jane recording it all.
"Oh man this is it MJ. The Hero of the Year." Lois smiles.
"I know, so exciting." MJ said nervously when her spider-sense went off. "Huh?"
Looking up lighting flashed as Eclipso and Dark Opal looked down at all of them.
"Now to bring these supers under my control. With an army of supers no one will stand in my way." Eclipso said reaching for her black diamond only to see it was gone. "Where is it? I must've dropped it when that woman attacked me."
"It doesn't matter, you have the scepter." Dark Opal said.
"Yes, the scepter." She grins. "Darkness fall!" Slamming it down shadow creatures erupted from shutting down all the power around the school. "Greeting heroes."
"Eclipso and Dark Opal I should have known." Waller said as Iron Man and Captain America charged forward only for Eclipso to blast the ground in front of them knocking them back.
"Not another step from any of you." Eclipso said causing everyone to glare at her.
Back in the mine, James was trying to disarm the bomb but couldn't even touch it.
"I can't disarm this." He said.
"I'll break you out." Hippolyta said banging against the cage only to be blasted back.
"Hippolyta." Maya and Martha said helping her up.
"We have to save them." Martha said.
"But how do we get past it?" Johnathan asks.
"I'm on it." Bumblebee said dragging the black diamond towards them.
"Bumblebee." The four heroes said surprised.
"If the diamond can create it, it can break it." Bumblebee said putting it in the ground. Using the last of her power Bumblebee stung the crystal making it shoot a beam that disabled the cage around the heroes and the bomb.
"You saved us." Spider-Man said walking over.
"Couldn't let you guys have all the fun." Bumblebee said.
"Hey are you alright?" Batgirl asks.
"Batteries dead. Can I get a ride?" Bumblebee asks.
"All aboard." Batgirl said putting her on her shoulder.
"What have I done?" Alchemist asks snapping out of the spell.
"It's alright sister." Hippolyta said when the bomb entered the final countdown.
"We won't be if we stay here! Everyone out!" Spider-Man said.
Grabbing the black diamond, Wonder Woman tosses it next to the bomb. "That gem will never harm anyone ever again."
Running as fast as they could everyone escaped right before it exploded.
"Phew we made it." Spider-Man said.
"We need to get to Super Hero High." Wonder Woman said.
"And fast." Spider-Man said when Maya grabbed his arm.
"Wait Jaden." Maya said.
"Ma'am you need to get to safety. I'm sure Jaden is fine." Spider-Man said turning to her.
"I'm not going anywhere without my son." Maya said.
"I'm sure he's safe." Spider-Man said.
"Drop the act Jaden. I lost your father I can't lose you too." Maya said shocking him.
"Y-You knew?" Spider-Man said.
"Of course I've known. Jaden please this is too dangerous let someone else risk their life tonight, not you. You're the only family I have left." Maya said using Jaden's words from earlier.
"Mom, they need me and you know it. Please if you know me then you know why I have to do this." Spider-Man said as Maya slowly nods her head. "I'm sorry our day together wasn't as you planned, but we have to get back to school."
"Then we better get a move on." Maya said.
Back at Super Hero High, all eyes were on Eclipso and Dark Opal.
"Thank you all for making this such easy shopping. The artifacts from your homes will make ruling over everything so easy." Eclipso said.
"Get them while they're blabbing." Hawkgirl whispers to Beastboy.
"Oh yeah just like you taught me." Beastboy said turning into an eagle and flying up towards them. "Pardon me but we'd prefer if you left. So prefer if you left sir and madam."
"Oh please." Eclipso said raising her scepter and blasting Beastboy.
"Beastboy!" Brian gasps as Hawkgirl caught him before he hit the ground.
"Nice catch." Beastboy smiles.
Growling in anger Iron Man looks at Brian and grins. "Hey Eclipso was it? Listen you might want to get out while you still can or else things are about to get ugly."
"Please I have the ultimate weapon. Darkness attack!" Eclipso said raising it and over a hundred shadow creatures appear. "What do you have?"
"We have a Hulk." Iron Man smirks.
"A what?" Dark Opal asks when Brian turns into Hulk and lets out a roar.
Leaping up Hulk rams into both villians knocking them into the wall.
Growling Eclipso stood up. "Attack!"
"Avengers!" Captain America said they all ran into action.
In the distance, Supergirl and Wonder Woman were flying in with Spider-Man holding onto the Batjet from the outside.
"Batgirl get them to safety and meet up with us." Spider-Man said.
"Jaden." Maya said getting his attention. "Be careful."
"I will mom." Spider-Man said.
"Then I guess this is your stop." Batgirl said as Spider-Man fired a web latching onto Wonder Woman's shield before they flew into action.
Down below all the heroes were fighting off the shadow creatures as best they could.
"Ezeerf meht!" Zatanna said firing ice freezing the ground under 4 of them.
Leaping into action Iron Fist and Black Panther destroy them with their fists and claws.
One shadow creature saw Ms. Marvel all alone and was about to charge when a pair of hands came out of the ground and stopped it.
"Gotcha." Shadowcat grins as Ms. Marvel punched it with a giant fist.
"Nice moves." Ms. Marvel said holding up her giant hand to high five but Shadowcat flinched not wanting to be knocked back like the creature.
As Iron Man and Captain America were fighting off the creatures Spider-Man swung in.
"Hey we'd miss the party?" Spider-Man asks.
"Actually you're right on time." Captain America said.
"Hulk's having some fun with those two why don't you three go join him?" Iron Man suggests.
"Gladly." Spider-Man said as he, Supergirl and Wonder Woman flew to the top.
Up above Dark Opal was using his sword to deflect the punches Hulk threw at him.
"What kind of monster are you?!" Dark Opal asks when Hulk grabs him by the neck and lifts him up.
"A hero." Hulk said before smashing him into the ground and threw him down the stairs making him crash in pain.
Hulk grins seeing one was down when Eclipso zapped him making him drop to his knees in pain.
"Shame a monster like you would be a great addition." Eclipso said.
"Sorry he's with us!" Supergirl said as she and Wonder Woman flew in while Spider-Man leaped up next to them.
"About time." Hulk grins.
"Sorry big guy had something else to deal with." Spider-Man said.
"You're not getting in my way!" Eclipso fires at them but Spider-Man dodges resulting in Supergirl, Wonder Woman and Hulk getting tied up in dark ropes.
Firing a web Spider-Man tries to yank it out of her arms but Eclipso holds on tight.
"Oh no you don't!" Eclipso yells pulling the scepter yanking Spider-Man before whacking him in the face.
As Batgirl and Bumblebee arrived they saw Spider-Man being pushed to the edge by Eclipso.
"Spider-Man!" Batgirl gasps.
Looking up Iron Man saw he couldn't make it up in time to help.
"Well I was gonna save this for when the kid won, but I guess he needs it now. Open vault 17-A!" Iron Man as a program went off from the school a red case shot out as Eclipso knocks him down.
As Spider-Man fell the red case opened up and attached itself to Spider-Man transforming his suit into a red suit with a golden spider on the chest allowing Spider-Man to cling onto the school building.
"Mr. Stark it smells like a new car in this thing." Spider-Man said standing up.
"What is that?" Batgirl asks in awe.
"Amazing." Bumblebee said.
"Ladies may I proudly present Iron Spider." Iron Man declares as Iron Spider leaps up and lands in behind Eclipso.
"Hey Eclipso!" Eclipso turns around just in time to see Iron Spider nail her in the face. "That was for my mom!"
"Spidey?" Supergirl smiles as he turned to them.
"Iron Spider actually. What do you think ladies? Hot or not?" Iron Spider asks.
"Hot." Supergirl said.
"Definitely hot." Wonder Woman said.
"Speaking of hot could use a little heat vision down here." Iron Spider said.
"Heat vision?" Supergirl said confused when Eclipso got up.
"So the mortal that attacked me was your parent? Well then I'll be sure to destroy her after I finish you off." Eclipso said.
"Not as long as I'm standing." Iron Spider said when three mechanical limbs came out of his back and two pods opened up for his stingers.
Charging forward both of them clashed trying to push each other back and Supergirl gasps realizing what he meant.
"Eyes on the prize." Supergirl said firing heat vision at the scepter causing it to glow red and her crystal to crack. Supergirl pauses not wanting to risk what was left of her family before remembering what Jaden said.
"The Kents took me in and raised me as their own. I do have a family…sorry mom." Supergirl said before continuing Heat Vision until the crystal exploded causing all the artifacts that made the scepter to fall down towards the battle below.
With the scepter gone, Hulk, Wonder Woman and Supergirl broke free and joined Iron Spider.
Growling Eclipso took off towards her base on the moon.
"You're not getting away!" Iron Spider said when Supergirl flew in and scooped him up before flying after her. "Thanks for the lift."
"Let's show her what happens when they mess with our families." Supergirl said.
Down below as Maya, Martha, Johnathan, James and Hippolyta ran over Maya looks up and sees her son flying off to win.
"That's my boy." Maya smiles. "Come on Spider-Man! Make that witch sorry she ever met you!"
"Take her down Supergirl! Kick her ass!" Martha said.
"Ladies, language." Johnathan said.
"Hey I don't know about you but I am still mad at her for earlier." Maya said.
"Me too." Martha said.
Nearby Catwoman flicked her whip smacking a shadow creature multiple times before Vixen leaped in and kicked it in the chest destroying it.
"MJ? MJ where are you?" Lois asks looking around when three shadow creatures leaped at her when webs shot in pinning them to the ground. "Huh?"
"Hang on Lois Lane!" Spider-Woman said swinging in and turning her hand into mace destroying the shadow creatures.
"Whoa you're Spider-Woman." Lois smiles.
"Yes I am." She nods.
"Hey does that mean you're Spider-Man's girlfriend?" Lois asks interested.
"Uh well…look now isn't really the best time for an interview. You better get to safety." Spider-Woman said nervously.
As Jolt Arachnid was fighting a shadow creature one came up from behind and grabbed him.
"Hey let me go!" Jolt Arachnid yells.
Looking over Bumblebee gasps. "Batgirl throw me!"
"What? Are you sure?" Batgirl asks.
"Just do it!" Bumblebee said.
Picking her up Batgirl took out a bateerang and threw it along with Bumblebee allowing her to leap off and attack the one holding Jolt Arachnid.
"Huh?" He looks over to see Bumblebee on its face and uses this opening to zap it destroying it.
"Thanks for the save." Jolt Arachnid said picking her up.
"Sorry my suit's busted so I can't be much help." Bumblebee admits.
"You're helping me. Keep an eye out for anymore of those things." Jolt Arachnid said putting her on his shoulder.
Bumblebee looks around and gasps seeing something glowing in the ground. "Over there."
Bending down Jolt Arachnid picked it up to reveal a piece of Supergirl's crystal.
"Supergirl's gonna want this." Bumblebee said as Jolt Arachnid handed it to her.
Up above Hulk grabs Dark Opal allowing Wonder Woman to tie him up.
"Where is Eclipso?" Wonder Woman asks.
"At her palace…on the moon." Dark Opal cringed.
"How do we stop the shadow creatures?" Wonder Woman asks.
"Why do you think we destroyed the power? Shadows don't do well in light." Dark Opal said.
"I'm going after Eclipso. Hulk can you take care of this guy?" Wonder Woman asks.
"Hulk smash?" Hulk asks.
"Hulk smash a lot." Wonder Woman nods causing Hulk to grin as he punched Dark Opal right in his magic jewel destroying it.
"No! My powers!" Dark Opal whines before Hulk threw him into the wall knocking him unconscious.
Taking out her phone Wonder Woman dialed Iron Man.
"What's up Little America?" Iron Man asks.
"The shadow creatures are weak to light. We need the power back on!" Wonder Woman said.
"On it! Strange!" Iron Man said getting his attention. "Make a portal! Get me to the main power room!"
"You got it!" Doctor Strange spun his hands making a portal allowing Iron Man to appear at the power room.
"Alright let's see the damage." Iron Man said opening the hatch to see all the damage. "Well Tony you've dealt with worse."
As Iron Man got to work, Black Panther was running around slashing shadow creatures when he sees his vibranium dagger on the ground.
"Help!' Looking up he saw Vixen surrounded by shadow creatures.
"Vixen catch!" Picking up the dagger he threw it to her and Vixen uses it slash the shadow creatures away before he joined her in battle.
"Nice dagger. I see why you Wakandans love this stuff." Vixen grins.
"Yes we do." Black Panther said.
Nearby Beastboy and Hawkgirl were surrounded when Hawkgirl sees her belt hanging from a tree.
"Beastboy my belt!" Hawkgirl points.
"I'm on it!" Beastboy said turning into a monkey and climbing up the tree. "Here you go!"
Tossing it to her Hawkgirl puts on her belt and is able to fly again.
"Oh yeah! I'm back!" Hawkgirl grins when Hulk drops down nearby and the two smash the creatures to pieces.
Beastboy looks around nervously to see shadow creatures heading towards him.
"This is quite the predicament. What's a gentleman to do?" Beastboy asks.
"Beastboy your way was better! You don't need to change just go wild!" Hawkgirl said.
"Don't think! Smash!" Hulk roars.
"Smash huh?" Beastboy leaps down turning into a bear and destroys the shadow creatures. "Oh yeah Team Green all the way!"
Katana sees her throwing star on the ground and when she sees Captain America being pinned down she throws it with all her might destroying it.
"You okay Cap?" Katana asks.
"Good work soldier." Captain America smiles before throwing his shield destroying three more.
On the ground, Star Sapphire picks up her ring and grins. "My ring." Putting it on she summons arrows the destroy a shadow creature. "Oh love hurts."
Behind her Green Lantern made a giant green fist smashing the shadow creatures into the ground.
Lady Shiva was trying to fight off two shadow creatures when one grabs her arm and one grabs her leg. "Help!"
"Hang on Shiva!" Big Barda grabs her mega rod and whacks them away with ease.
"Wow I owe ya one." She smiles.
"No you don't. With great power comes great responsibility." Big Barda smiles.
"Isn't that Spider-Man's line?" Lady Shiva smirks.
"Who do you think told it to me?" Big Barda asks.
"Wow you really have changed." Lady Shiva said.
"Don't tell anyone. If people find out I'm good I'll have to go to parties, hand out valentines, and help people move." Big Barda chuckles before the two of them leaped into action.
In the main room, Iron Man was hard at work fixing the wires.
"Come on baby give me something. Man I wish I had an extra set of hands." Iron Man said when Batgirl ran in.
"Wish granted." She smiles.
"I don't know why you're here but I'm glad you are. Connect that cable to that one." Iron Man said as Batgirl followed his instructions. "Alright and now let there be light!"
Flipping the switch all the lights around the school turned on and all the shadow creatures screamed in pain before disappearing.
Up on the moon, Iron Spider and Supergirl arrive at Eclipso's palace and enter through the front door.
"It's over Eclipso!" Iron Spider said.
"The crystal is gone." Supergirl said.
"Good for you, I was gonna use it to destroy my homeworld but you've already had that done for you." Eclipso said firing a blast of dark energy at them.
Firing a web Iron Spider swung out of the way and kicks Eclipso in the chest knocking her down.
Looking up Eclispo saw them both charge towards her. Using her powers she makes two large diamonds fly towards them.
Using his mechanical limbs Iron Spider caught one before smashing it to the ground while Supergirl spilt the other in half with her heat vision.
Flying in Supergirl punches Eclipso sending her smashing into the wall.
"Get up. I'm taking you in." Supergirl said.
Grinning Eclipso grabs her arm and zaps Supergirl from close range before tying her up.
Using this opening Eclipso fires 4 large rocks at Supergirl causing her to gasp when Iron Spider leaps in and caught all 4 before they hit.
"What?!" Eclipso gasps.
"Sorry Eclipso but I don't she likes these rocks. Good thing I have a good return policy!" Iron Spider said throwing them back smashing into Eclipso.
Dropping to his knees Iron Spider cuts Supergirl free.
"You okay?" Iron Spider asks helping her up.
"Much better." Supergirl smiles when Eclipso appears behind him. "Look out!"
Eclipso was about to strike when Wonder Woman flew in and punched her away.
"Good timing." Iron Spider said.
"Thanks now let's finish this." Wonder Woman said as the three of them entered the throne room and saw Eclipso at her throne.
"Nowhere to run now!" Iron Spider said.
"Who's running?!" Eclipso roars as all the gems in the room glowed allowing her to fire powerful beams of light at them.
"Look out!" Iron Spider said as they all jumped out of they way avoiding the attacks and as a result, Eclipso ended up striking the support beams holding up the palace causing it to shake.
Mustering up every last ounce of strength she had Eclipso made an orb of dark energy appear above her hands.
"Oh no I'm not letting that happen!" Firing two webs they latched onto Eclipso before zapping her making he scream in pain. "Ladies if you don't mind!" Iron Spider said yanking her in.
Flying towards Supergirl and Wonder Woman the two girls punched Eclipso in the face knocking her out cold.
The three of them grin at their victory but it was short lived as the palace started to crumble.
"We gotta get outta here!" Supergirl said as they rushed out before the entire palace came down on them.
Down below at Super Hero High, Maya was looking up at the moon.
"Please…please come home." Maya said when suddenly 4 shadows flew in causing Maya to smile as Iron Spider, Supergirl, Wonder Woman and Eclipso land in front of them.
"Got one more for you Commissioner." Iron Spider said pushing Eclipso towards James.
"You're going away for a long time." He said slapping the cuffs on her.
"Supergirl! I found a piece of your crystal!" Bumblebee said holding it up.
"Thanks Bumblebee." Supergirl said holding it and it started to glow again revealing her mother.
"Nothing can destroy this crystal because nothing can destroy my love for you." She smiles as Kara hugs her. "Take that love and share it with others so you can create a new family."
"Thanks mom." Kara smiles.
"And maybe someday you'll even find a boy to love." Her mom smirks before disappearing making the first thing Supergirl saw was Iron Spider looking at her.
"I already have." Supergirl smiles.
"Are you alright dear?" Martha asks.
"I am now. I love you guys." Supergirl said hugging her aunt and uncle.
As Iron Spider walks over to Batgirl the helmet opens to reveal Jaden's face.
"Pretty cool huh?" Jaden asks.
"Yeah it's got all the bells and whistles." Batgirl smiles when they heard Bumblebee sigh.
"What's wrong?" Jaden asks.
"Well you know how that crystal could charge the whole scepter? Well maybe we can make a battery from that to power my suit." Bumblebee said.
"Maybe but making a synthetic could take a while." Jaden said when Supergirl flew over.
"I couldn't help but overhear, but super hearing. Why wait? One sliver coming up." Supergirl said.
"But it's your crystal." Bumblebee said.
"Mom did say to share." Supergirl said breaking off a small piece.
"Iron Man, think you can work you magic?" Batgirl asks.
"Yeah I think I can do this." Iron Man said taking out a plier. "Hold still."
Taking the crystal, Iron Man opened the battery and inserted the crystal allowing Bumblebee to grow to normal size causing everyone to smile.
"J-Jaden?" Jaden turns to see Maya walk over to him.
"Hi mom." Jaden said as she noticed the suit. "I think it's time we sat down and talked."
At the Kent Family Farm, all the heroes were gathered there to celebrate.
While everyone was inside partying Jaden and Maya were sitting down on the porch.
"So how long have you known I was Spider-Man?" Jaden asks.
"I think I've always known but I really think it was when you told me you were going to Super Hero High." Maya said.
"All this time I've been afraid to tell you." Jaden admits.
"Jaden, you shouldn't be afraid to tell me anything. I'm your mother and no matter what I will always love you." Maya smiles.
"So how come you acted like you didn't know for so long?" Jaden asks.
"I realized that this must have been important to you and that you weren't ready to tell me yet." Maya said.
"I'm sorry for lying mom. After we lost dad I didn't want you to find out because I didn't want to lose you too." Jaden apologized.
"Funny I let you be a hero so you could be strong and I wouldn't lose you." Maya said as they hugged.
"So when you saw me as Spider-Man doing all the things I've done weren't you ever scared or worried?" Jaden asks.
"Of course I was worried. My little boy swinging from buildings and fighting bad guys I was scared out of my mind. But when I saw you do the things you do and how much you help people, you just take my breath away." Maya said.
"Does that mean I can stay at Super Hero High?" Jaden asks.
"I was never gonna make you leave in the first place." Maya said.
"Thanks mom, but uh can be sure to keep this a secret. I know having Spider-Man for a son is like the ultimate brag but can you not say anything?" Jaden asks causing Maya to giggle.
"I'll try and be strong." Maya said.
"And by the way, you punching Eclipso in the face was beyond amazing." Jaden smiles.
"No one zaps my son and gets away with it." Maya smirks.
"I love you mom." Jaden said.
"I love you too, now any chance you can introduce me to your friends?" Maya asks.
"Absolutely." Jaden nods standing up.
"I'm so proud of the man you've become and so would your father." Maya smiles standing up.
"It's because of you two I'm the man I am today." Jaden said as he opened the door and they walked in. "Everyone meet my mom."
As Jaden introduced her to the Avengers, she was surprised to see Barbara was Batgirl and even more shocked to see Miles, MJ and Kitty were heroes as well.
"Is Harry here by any chance and I just missed him?" Maya asks as everyone laughed.
"No mom, Harry's not a hero at this school." Jaden smiles.
"So almost all your friends are heroes as well? Are there any other secrets you've been keeping from me?" Maya asks.
"Well…there is one more." Jaden said before leaning in and whispering it to her causing Maya's eyes to widen.
"This day just keeps getting crazier." Maya said holding her head when Crazy Quilt and Beastboy walked in.
"Now folks the moment you've been waiting for. We had a lot of amazing heroics this year, but the hero that really tipped the scales today was Bumblebee with her noble sacrifice!" Crazy Quilt announces giving her the trophy.
"Me?" Bumblebee said as everyone cheered.
"Congrats Karen." Miles said walking up to her.
"Aww thanks Miles." Karen said as Miles leaned in and pecked her on the cheek. "Oh no after what I've been through, get over here." Karen yanks Miles in and kisses him on the lips which he happily returns.
"Sorry I didn't win Mr. Stark. I guess you want the Iron Spider suit back." Jaden assumes.
"Nah keep it. The little bee earned it, especially after everything besides we'll find another way for the Avengers to get the spotlight." Tony smiles putting a hand on his shoulder. "You were awesome today kid."
"Thanks Mr. Stark." Jaden said.
"Anytime." Tony smiles before looking over at Maya. "Hmm so that's your mom?"
"Yep." Jaden smiles.
"She's kinda cute." Tony smirks causing Jaden to look over.
"Say what?" Jaden asks in shock.
"I'm gonna talk to her." Tony said walking over.
"Mr. Stark wait—" But it was too late. Tony started talking to Maya and soon they were laughing and smiling. "Ugh my head." Jaden groans sitting down next to Diana.
"I guess we both lost." Diana said.
"I guess so. Wait…I guess that means we both get what we want. Since the bet was by who lost not by who won." Jaden realized.
"I guess I'm spending the break with you then." Diana giggles.
"And whoever else comes to visit me." Jaden said when Hippolyta walks up to him and clears her throat. "Queen Hippolyta. Uh hi." Jaden said nervously.
"I just wanted to say…I think you're a very fine man and my daughter is lucky to have found someone like you." Hippolyta smiles.
"Mom are you serious?" Diana smiles.
"You two may date." Hippolyta nods causing her to squeal with joy and hug her mom.
As Jaden looked at his family, friends, and fellow Avengers he smiles happily ready for a much-deserved break from all this and needless to say some other girls were thinking the same thing as Selina, Kara, Barbara, Tatsu and Zee looked over at Jaden sitting next to Diana.
