Chapter 39: Hero Too
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. Sorry about the wait I've been a little busy lately with my other stories and my job. I'll keep the updates coming but I don't know how long each one will take. I plan on bringing quite a few new characters both good and bad. I hope you like what I have planned. We find ourselves at Harry's penthouse, where Harry was sitting down at the table doing homework while Jaden was across from him reviewing his work.
"I can't believe you're back from school and instead of hanging out you're making me do my homework." Harry said.
"It's not my fault our schools have different schedules. We can hang out once you finish." Jaden said as Norman walks in.
"Jaden has your best interests at heart son. He's a good friend." Norman said.
"Hey Mr. Osborn, been a while." Jaden waves.
"I should say so, we heard about that crazy Hero of the Year ceremony." Norman said walking over.
"Boy those heroes really can't catch a break." Harry said.
"Yeah well, lucky for me I found a good hiding spot during it all." Jaden said.
"I was surprised they gave the award to Bumblebee, I always thought Spider-Man would be the winner." Norman said getting Jaden's attention.
"Yeah well Bumblebee did save him, Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Batgirl. Guess that gave her a boost." Jaden said.
"I suppose." Norman said as Harry handed Jaden his homework.
"Yep you got it." Jaden smiles.
"Yes!" Harry pumps his fists.
"It's good to have you back Jaden. You'll have to stop by again before you go back to school." Norman said.
"Absolutely, so Mr. Osborn how's work at OSCORP?" Jaden asks.
"It's coming along very well. You know Jaden summer isn't too far around the corner. Ever thought of applying for a summer internship for OSCORP? I might be able to pull a few strings to help and get you a spot." Norman offers.
"I appreciate that Mr. Osborn but if I do get one I want it to be because I earned it not because I know you and Harry. I'm sorry." Jaden said.
"Never apologize for wanting to achieve greatness on your own Jaden. I respect that." Norman smiles.
"Come on Jaden." Harry said as he and Jaden walk to the living room.
'Jaden, maybe someday you could be of great use to me.' Norman thought.
Laying on the couch Harry sighs as he and Jaden turned on the video games.
"Man school has been so boring since you guys left. I wish I could go to Superhero High." Harry said.
"You do and your dad might send tanks to pull you out." Jaden said causing Harry to laugh.
"Man I missed this." Harry said.
"Me too." Jaden said.
"Hey Jaden between you and me who's the hottest superhero girl?" Harry asks.
"Wha?" Jaden said surprised.
"Don't worry I won't tell Barbara." Harry chuckles.
"Well Batgirl is kinda hot." Jaden said.
"Nice." Harry smirks.
"So what's new with you?" Jaden asks.
"Oh the usual. Dad's always working and I'm always bored. Our tutoring sessions is the most fun I've had all week." Harry said.
"Well maybe I can help make things interesting." Jaden said when his phone rang.
Reaching into his pocket he saw Kitty was on the caller ID.
"Hey Kitty what's up?" Jaden asks.
"Jaden you are not gonna believe it! I got tickets to the Dazzler concert!" Kitty screams causing Jaden and Harry to wince.
"Wait Dazzler? Are you serious?" Jaden asks.
"Yes!" Kitty squeals as Jaden put her on speaker.
"How'd you get them Kitty? Those are almost impossible to get?" Harry asks.
"Oh hey Harry. I had a friend and she helped me get tickets. Do you wanna come? It's tomorrow night?" Kitty asks.
"Tomorrow? Oh man I can't. My dads got a big announcement for OSCORP and I have to stand there and look like he's the perfect dad." Harry sighs.
"You think if I had Kitty change my hairstyle, I could pretend to be you so you could go?" Jaden suggests causing Harry to smile.
"I appreciate it Jaden but you could never pull this off buddy." Harry smirks gesturing to himself.
"Can't blame a guy for trying. Alright Kitty I'll be there." Jaden said.
"Sweet. I'll call Miles and see if he can make it." Kitty said hanging up.
"Whenever one of us isn't feeling great you swing in and be the hero." Harry said.
"Someone has to look out for you guys." Jaden said.
"Yeah what about yourself?" Harry asks clicking a button killing Jaden's character. "Whoo! I win!"
"Aw man! You cheated!" Jaden said looking to him.
"Don't hate the player, hate the game." Harry laughs.
"Alright best 2 out of 3! You're going down!" Jaden said.
"Bring it Cooper!" Harry said as they played video games.
At Miles' house, Mile was laying in his bed when his cell rang.
"Hello?" Miles groans sitting up revealing he was shirtless. "Oh hey Kitty what's up? A concert? Sorry I already have plans."
Suddenly something presses against his back.
Turning around Miles smiles as Karen was hugging him from behind.
"You and Jaden go have fun and bring me back a t-shirt." Mile said hanging up.
"Not feeling like getting out of bed?" Karen asks.
"Not even a little." Miles smirks putting his phone down and making out with Karen as we zoom out we see all their clothes were scattered all over the floor.
At Jaden's house, he, Diana and Maya were in the kitchen making dinner together when they heard a knock at the door.
"I'll get it." Jaden said walking to the door and when it opened he saw Barbara and her dad holding some food wrapped up.
"Hey who's hungry?" Barbara asks.
"Hey Barbara, Commissioner Gordon." Jaden said letting them in.
"Jaden we're not in class right now. Just call me Mr. Gordon." He smiles.
"Alright." Jaden smiles as they walked in and Barbara gave Jaden a kiss.
"I've missed you so much." Barbara smiles hugging him.
"I've missed you too Barbara." Jaden smiles as they walked in.
"Is everyone here?" Barbara asks when Steve Rogers walked up to the house.
"It is now." Steve said getting Diana's attention.
"Dad!" Diana smiles giving him a hug.
"How's my little solider?" Steve smiles.
"I'm doing well where's Mom?" Diana asks.
"Well I uh actually have something to tell you first." Steve said.
"Huh?" Diana said confused.
"Turns out yesterday I discovered the real cause of why Hippolyta was so emotional during the whole Hero of the Year thing." Steve said sitting down.
"What do you mean?" Jaden asks.
"Is she okay?" Barbara asks.
"No Hippolyta is alright she'll be fine…in about 9 months." Steven admits causing everyone to gasp.
"You mean…" Diana said.
"She's pregnant. Diana you're gonna be a big sister." Steve announced causing everyone to cheer.
"Steve that's amazing." James said patting him on the back.
"Oh my Hera! I'm gonna have a sibling." Diana squeals.
"Well that certainly explains a lot. Congrats." Jaden said.
"I wish your mother could be here to tell you herself but the amazons don't want her leaving the island now that they know they have a new royal on the way." Steve said.
"They can be pretty protective." Barbara nods.
"Tell me about it." Jaden said remembering all his visits.
"So any idea what the sex is?" Maya asks.
"Hmm still too early. I'll happy with whatever child we have, but obviously Hippolyta—"
"Wants a daughter." Everyone assumes.
"Bingo." Steve smiles.
"Well we're all super happy for you Cap." Jaden smiles as Maya brought over cups.
"A toast to Diana and her families' new addition." Maya said raising a glass.
"Cheers." Everyone smiled as they clinked their glasses.
As the night went by everyone was enjoying themselves, eating food, sharing stories and laughing.
"The last time Hippolyta was pregnant I was trapped in ice for almost 70 years. You experienced parents mind sharing a little advice?"
"Let me tell you something Steve, when women get pregnant it changes them. When I was pregnant with Jaden it was hard. I was sore, had so many weird cravings and I was very emotional." Maya said.
"I hope I can handle it." Steve gulps.
"You think Hippolyta is angry now, wait until she's a few months in." James cringed.
"This is gonna be World War 2 all over again for you." Maya smirks patting him on the back.
Upstairs Diana was in a chair looking something up on Jaden's laptop while he and Barbara were on his bed.
"Okay when my new sibling is born the first thing I'm gonna do is show them around Themyscira and then I'll show them how to use the Lasso of truth." Diana said excited.
"Take it easy Diana, your new sibling isn't even halfway here." Barbara said.
"Sorry I'm just so excited." Diana said turning them.
"You're gonna be a great big sister." Jaden said.
"You think so?" Diana asks.
"I know so and maybe I can help you out when the kid gets older." Jaden offers.
"I'd like that." Diana smiles walking over and giving him a kiss.
"Hey back off Wonder Woman you've had him all break I deserve time with my boyfriend too." Barbara smiles hugging him.
"But I am in such a good mood. And my bet with Jaden allows me to have fun with him and any other girls." Diana said hugging him from the other side.
"Wow who knew Wonder Woman had such a kinky side to her." Barbara smirks.
"My fault." Jaden admits.
"I'm not complaining." Diana said kissing Jaden on the lips and pressing her chest into him.
When he took a breath Barabra leaned in and kissed him.
When all three of them separate they looked at each other panting heavily.
"Girls as much as I love this right now and I really do all our parents are downstairs." Jaden warns.
"If they caught us we'd never hear the end of it." Diana gulps.
"Well then I guess we'll just have to have another kind of fun." Barbara said grabbing Jaden and slamming her lips into his.
As Diana watched the two of them making out Barbara wrapped her arms around Jaden
When Jaden separates from her Diana sits in his lap and makes out with him.
Seeing this Barbara grins as she moves in and grabs Diana's breasts from behind causing her to gasp as Barbara leans up to her ear.
"This is why I'm Jaden's number one." Barbara whispers as she fondles Diana making her moan into Jaden's mouth as the princess was sandwiched between her boyfriend and another girl in his harem.
"When we are alone, I am gonna take you both so hard." Jaden pants letting go.
"You better." Barbara said so turned on by this.
"Now shut up and kiss me." Diana said as the three of them continued their three-way make out session for an hour before it was time to go.
Needless to say when they did separate Jaden, Diana and Barbara were very eager to do this again, but next time they are gonna go all the way.
"Be sure to call me Jaden and I'll see you two back at school." Barbara said giving Jaden one more kiss. "And maybe we can have some fun just you and me." Barbara whispers.
"I'd like that a lot." Jaden said as she lets go.
"Take care Diana." Steve said.
"Bye dad, tell mom I'm super excited about this news." Diana said.
"I will and Jaden, watch over my daughter." Steve said walking away.
"I will sir." Jaden said as Diana wraps her arms around Jaden from behind hugging him.
The next day, Jaden and Kitty were making their way towards the concert.
"This is gonna be so awesome." Kitty said.
"Yeah how long has it been since we went to concert?" Jaden asks.
"Round the time you and I first became friends." Kitty smiles.
"That was a good day." Jaden smiles.
"Yeah it was." Kitty said twirling her hair with her finger. 'Talk about lucky. A concert just me and Jaden.'
"So Kitty what do we say we go get that souvenir for Miles and then get ready?" Jaden suggests.
"Sounds good." Kitty said as they walked up to see a poster of a teenage girl with long blonde hair, a leather jacket over a dark blue suit with a star logo in the middle. This was Dazzler. "Man I hope we can see her amazing effects."
"Yeah I wonder how she does them?" Jaden asks as they walk in.
Little did they know a figure was eyeing the concert.
"So Dazzler, you think you and your fancy light shows are so special? Well let's see how dazzling you are after I'm done." A female voice said as sparks of electricity came from her.
Backstage, Dazzler was in her dressing room getting ready for the concert.
"Okay you can do this." Dazzler said as she looked to a picture of a young her with an elderly lady.
"Well grandma let's hope for another success." Dazzler said pressing her fingers to her lips before pressing them to the picture.
Walking over she puts on her jacket before stepping out of her room.
"Hey Dazzler." A female voice said.
Turning around Dazzler saw a figure in the shadows.
"Quite a packed house you got here." She said.
"Yeah, uh sorry do you have a backstage pass?" Dazzler asks.
"I don't need one. You see I originally had this booked but then when you asked they kicked me off because you were more popular." She said.
"Oh uh sorry my agent put this together. Maybe you'll get it next time." Dazzler said.
"Yeah maybe but you see blondie..." The figure steps out of the shadows surprising Dazzler as the figure had blue skin, spiky blue hair, a black leather outfit with a lighting bolt on her chest and sparks of electricity flowing from her hands. This was Livewire. "I don't settle for second best."
Dazzler's eyes widen as she stepped back.
"Hey who are you?!" Livewire turns to see security guards.
"Step away from Dazzler!" One said.
"Sorry boys but Livewire is about to steal the show!" Livewire said firing a blast of electricity.
Outside, Jaden and Kitty were at the souvenir stand getting Miles a t-shirt.
"Perfect. Miles is gonna love this." Kitty said when Jaden's Spider Sense went off.
"Look out!" Jaden said tackling Kitty out of the way as someone crashed nearby.
Looking up Kitty saw Jaden on top of her his face inches from her face.
"J-Jaden?" Kitty blushes when they heard a groaning noise.
Getting up Jaden saw a secutiry guard laying down nearby.
"Sir are you okay?" Jaden asks as they ran to him.
"Call for help. Dazzler…in trouble." He groans causing Kitty to gasp.
As she and Jaden look backstage they saw a blue flash of light emanating from it.
Looking to each other both of them nod knowing what to do.
Backstage, Livewire was knocking away all the security guards with ease before turning to Dazzler who was on stage.
"Nowhere to run now." Livewire said when suddenly a web shot out and tied her up. "What the?!"
"Step away from the idol!" Looking up Livewire and Dazzler saw Spider-Man swing in and kicked Livewire in the face.
Tumbling across the stage Shadowcat appeared from under the stage and shoved Livewire into a locker.
"Phew that was close." Shadowcat said dusting off her hands as they walked up to Dazzler on stage.
"Who are you guys?" Dazzler asks.
"Long story, big fan." Shadowcat said.
"Even heroes like concerts." Spider-Man said.
"Well thank you both." Dazzler said.
"Dazzler, we're on in one minute." The stage manager said.
"We better get off stage so you can perform." Spider-Man said as they ran off.
However just as the curtain rose and the crowd went wild the locker Livewire was shoved in started to shake violently and sparks emitted from it.
"Thank you, Metropolis! Happy to be here!" Dazzler said grabbing the microphone.
"This is definitely better than our tickets." Spider-Man said.
"A million times better." Shadowcat smiled.
"Alright to kick this off I have a new song for you all. Alright fellas hit it!" Dazzler said as the band started to play their instruments.
"What am I—" Before Dazzler could finish a giant explosion went off startling everyone.
"Uh oh." Spider-Man said as he and Shadowcat saw Livewire stomp on stage and boy was she pissed.
"I am done playing around!" Livewire snaps.
"Yeah she's mad." Shadowcat cringed.
"Where's a giant rubber glove when you need one?" Spider-Man asks.
Charging up a powerful electric attack, Livewire launches it at Dazzler when suddenly Spider-Man swung in and yanked her out of the way.
"I gotcha!" Spider-Man said as they swung over the audience.
"You're not getting away this time!" Livewire said firing multiple electric attacks trying to shoot them out of the sky.
"Incoming!" Dazzler said.
"Hold on!" Spider-Man said firing another web and they swung out of the way.
As Livewire kept up her attacks Shadowcat shot out of the ground and nailed Livewire with a powerful uppercut causing the crowd to cheer.
A concert and a superhero battle. Talk about a night to remember.
Landing back on stage, Spider-Man and Shadowcat stood between Dazzler and Livewire as the electric villain stood up.
"You two really know how to make me mad." Livewire growls.
"Yeah well you ruined our concert." Shadowcat said.
"Don't worry we're about to pull the plug on this night light." Spider-Man said.
Firing a web, Spider-Man swings in while Shadowcat phased through the stage floor.
As Livewire launched her attacks Spider-Man lets go of his web and sweeps his leg forcing Livewire to jump back only for Shadowcat to phase out behind her.
Swinging her foot Shadowcat kicks Livewire in the side.
Cringing in pain Livewire grabs Shadowcat's leg shocking her making Shadowcat scream in pain.
Spinning her around Shadowcat flew backwards but Spider-Man caught her in the nick of time.
"You okay?" Spider-Man asks.
"My hero." Shadowcat smirks.
"I try." Spider-Man said when Livewire fired another blast them.
Acting quickly Shadowcat made her and Spider-Man go through the floor.
"This again?" Livewire asks when a web shot out of the stage and the two heroes swing out nailing Livewire knocking her near an electric guitar.
Jumping out Spider-Man was holding Shadowcat bridal style and boy was she liking this position.
Slowly picking herself up Livewire noticed the guitar and grins.
Reaching out Livewire touches the guitar and built up electric power.
"See ya suckers!" Livewire said zapping both heroes making them fall to the ground.
Dazzler looks to both heroes on the ground groaning in pain. They got hurt trying to protect her.
"It's over!" Livewire said about to attack when Dazzler held up her hands a powerful laser shot from them nailing Livewire in the chest surprising everyone.
"D-Dazzler?" Shadowcat said as they turned to her.
"I guess those fancy light shows weren't special effects huh?" Spider-Man asks.
"Not really. Dazzler admits helping them up.
"We can talk about this later." Spider-Man said.
"Deal and uh Spider-Man…thanks for saving me back there." Dazzler said.
"It's what heroes do." Spider-Man said causing her to blush slightly when Livewire got up.
Touching the speakers, Livewire started to charge up her power.
"All your band's equipment is making her stronger." Shadowcat said.
"We need to get her away from it." Dazzler said.
"I'm on it! Hey Liveweirdo!" Spider-Man said getting her attention. "You don't have to be a genius to choose a Dazzler performance over yours. I mean what can you do? Can you sing? Do you even play an instrument? What is so special about you anyway? Ooh I can make electricity. Big deal, do you know many other villains can do that?"
"Oh shut up!" Livewire snaps attacking him.
Acting quickly Spider-Man fired webbing at his own hands and grabbed Livewire's arms allowing him to stop her in her tracks.
"One fried Spider coming up!" Livewire said kicking Spider-Man in the gut zapping him.
"Spider-Man!" Shadowcat and Dazzler gasp along with the audience.
Growling in pain Spider-Man started to pull Livewire away from the equipment.
"What? Hey let go of me you freak!" Livewire said.
The farther Spider-Man pulled her away the more her powers started to drop.
"Lights out Livewire!" Spider-Man said sending her flying into the air.
Using his chance light stored up in Dazzler's hands before she punched Livewire in the face sending her flying backwards.
Grabbing a drum, Shadowcat slams it down on her causing Livewire to groan in pain being knocked out cuasing the audiene to erupt in cheers as security took her away.
"Well guess we better take a bow ladies." Spider-Man said as he, Shadowcat and Dazzler waved to the audience.
Backstage, Dazzler was sitting down in her break room with Spider-Man and Shadowcat standing nearby.
"That was wild and crazy and the concert is only half over." Dazzler said.
"Your powers, you've been using them for special effects the whole time?" Shadowcat asks.
"Hey people love bright lights." Dazzler said.
"But you haven't used them much for fighting have you?" Spider-Man asks.
"No." Dazzler shook her head.
"Have you ever thought of coming to Super Hero High? We could help you." Spider-Man asks.
"I don't think that will work. I may be a popular idol but I only have money as long as I do concerts I can't afford to go to school plus…I don't know if I want to." Dazzler said looking away.
"Dazzler. Listen Spider-Man and I know what it's like to be different. If you talk about it you might feel better." Shadowcat said.
Dazzler pauses to think. "Alison." She said getting their attention. "My real name is Alison Blaire. My mother was an entertainer but my dad was a stoic law student. At first they were in love but soon my mom left him and he tried to force me into law school like him but I love singing more than anything so I left him too and became Dazzler. On my first gig my powers went off and luckily everyone thought they were just special effects. I thought about going to school but what if you guys end up trying to control me like my dad did? I don't want to be a boring girl in a suit sitting at a desk."
"Hey Alison." She looks up to see Jaden take off his mask and sit down across from her. "I understand what you mean and I was scared to go myself, but I soon realized it was the best thing that ever happened to me. You have an amazing power and you do use it to make people happy but you can more than just a pop star. You can be whatever you want to be." Jaden smiles before holding out his hand. "What do you say Ali? Want to give being a hero a shot?"
Alison looks at Jaden's smiling face causing her to smile and take it.
"Hey you guys wanna join me on stage for my last song?" Alison asks.
"Would I?!" Shadowcat smiles.
As Dazzler walks out Shadowcat squeals before hugging Jaden.
"This is the best day ever!" Shadowcat said.
"Whoa Kitty calm down." Jaden smiles.
"I'm actually gonna be on stage…whoa on stage." Kitty said a little nervous.
"What's a matter?" Jaden asks.
"Wow uh I never thought I would be in front of a huge crowd." Kitty admits.
"But you and I just battled on stage to defeat a supervillain." Jaden said.
"Yeah but that's a little different. Jaden what if I mess up?" Kitty asks when Jaden grabs her shoulders.
"Kitty that's just nerves you're amazing and you've earned this." Jaden smiles.
Kitty looks up at Jaden's assuring smile. "Jaden…I-I love you." Kitty confesses kissing him on the lips surprising him at first.
"Kitty? You're not just doing this because of the concert are you?" Jaden asks.
"Jaden I mean it. I've liked you before I was Shadowcat and way before you were Spider-Man. You always are there for me and make me feel like a better person. You're amazing, funny, smart and every time I'm with you I'm happy. I love you Jaden." Kitty said kissing him one more time sealing.
"Kitty before this goes any further I probably should tell you one more detail." Jaden said explain the Coop Factor to her.
A few minutes later on stage, Dazzler, Spider-Man and Shadowcat walk up and Dazzler grabs the mic.
"Hello Metropolis!" Dazzler said causing everyone to cheer. "Now I'm sure many of you were interested in our fight earlier and I'll admit it threw me through a loop, but thanks to the awesome heroes Spider-Man and Shadowcat I think I have it figured out. Also if any of Super Hero High people are watching this. I have something I want to share with you all. Hit it!"

When the song ended the crowd exploded in cheers as Dazzler looks to Spider-Man and Shadowcat.
"So guess we'll see you at school?" Spider-Man asks.
"You bet." Dazzler smiles.
"Hey uh can I get a selfie?" Shadowcat asks.
Smiling Dazzler wraps her arms around them and they pose for the selfie.
"Thanks for everything." Dazzler said as Jaden and Kitty got out of their suits and walked him with Kitty snuggling up to Jaden's arm.
"Not gonna lie this is gonna take some getting used to." Kitty said.
"You don't mind, do you?" Jaden asks.
"Not at all." Kitty smiles holding Jaden close as they walked home.
