Chapter 40: Cat Fight

It was late at night as we find ourselves at the Metropolis Museum when a shadowy figured leaped him.
"Mm where is it?" The figure asks revealing it to be a female.
Slowly making her way in she spotted a giant diamond in a case. "Bingo." She said as she took out a whip.
Making her way into the light we see the girl was wearing a leather outfit and took out a whip before picking the case and taking the diamond when the alarm went off.
"Freeze!" A security guard said looking to the figure.
"Sorry but this cat has claws." She said before flicking her whip knocking him to the ground before she made her escape.
"It can't be." The guard said watching the figure run off before losing consciousness.
The next morning, Jaden was walking to a gym holding a gym bag in his hands.
"Is this the right place?" Jaden asks looking at his phone.
"Jaden, you made it." Jaden turns around to see Tatsu walking up to him holding her own gym bag too.
"Tatsu good to see you." Jaden smiles.
"You as well. We didn't get much time to talk before the break started. I'm happy you agreed to join me." Tatsu smiles.
"I just hope I can keep up." Jaden shrugs causing her to giggle.
"I think you have a shot. Let's changed and I'll meet you at the treadmills." Tatsu said as they walked inside.
"Sounds good." Jaden nods as they made their way to the locker rooms.
A few minutes later, Jaden walks out in some blue workout pants and a black sleeveless shirt.
When he walked over to the treadmills, Jaden started stretching when he saw Tatsu walking over with her hair in a ponytail, a blue sports bra that showed off her lower chest area and red yoga pants that really clung to her body.

After a few minutes both of them were starting to build up a sweat.
"So how's your break so far?" Jaden asks.
"Pretty well, I heard Dazzler's new song. She's really going to Super Hero High?" Tatsu asks.
"Yeah that was one wild concert." Jaden said.
"I'll admit it'll be interesting to see a pop star become a hero." Tatsu said.
"Agreed. Hey Tatsu I just realized I never said thank you." Jaden said turning to her.
"Thank you for what?" Tatsu asks.
"For helping me with my mother. It meant a lot to me." Jaden smiles causing Tatsu to blush.
"It was no trouble at all." Tatsu said.
"Well it meant a lot to me, thank you." Jaden said as they both stopped their treadmills.
"You're no good to anyone if you're stressed or worried. You help so many people that you deserve to have someone be there for you." Tatsu said.
"Thank you Tatsu." Jaden smiles.
Smiling Tatsu gave him a hug but almost instantly pulled away because they were both so sweaty.
"Ugh should have waited to do that." Tatsu said.
"Yeah me too." Jaden cringed before they both smiled.
"So what do you wanna do next?" Jaden asks.
Tatsu looks around and spots the climbing wall.
"Think you can handle it?" Tatsu asks.
"Are you forgetting who the wall crawler is?" Jaden smirks.
"What were you like before all this happened?" Tatsu asks.
"Honestly, a guy a girl like you would never hang out with. I was your average science and math nerd with no muscle whatsoever. If you had met me a year ago I would have passed out from exhaustion while you left me in the dust." Jaden said.
"Do you hate that part of yourself?" Tatsu asks.
"What? No. I mean, sure my life wasn't perfect, but I was so happy with what I had. I had friends, family, good grades and I wouldn't trade those good times for anything." Jaden smiles.
Tatsu looks at him and smiles. "I would have."
"Excuse me?" Jaden asks.
"If I had met you earlier. I would have totally gone out with you." Tatsu said causing him to blush.
"Really?" Jaden asks.
"You may have changed physically but mentally and emotionally I see the one who always lent a helping hand to those who needed it and the one who brought together all the members of our little team, including me." Tatsu smiles.
"Oh yeah, why did you wanna join the Avengers?" Jaden asks.
"Because I wanted to be close to you." Tatsu said.
"Tatsu you are amazing." Jaden smiles.
Tatsu looks at Jaden who was hanging upside in front of her and grabs his face before leaning in and kissing him.
Jaden was surprised at first but they continued the upside-down kiss both of them enjoying it until Jaden's grip started to loosen and he climbed down.
"Jaden…I love you." Tatsu admits.
"I love you too, Tatsu." Jaden said as they stood up. "So what should we do next?"
"Well first, we are totally covered in sweat so I suggest hitting the showers." Tatsu said.
"Don't suppose you want me to join you?" Jaden asks but Tatsu puts a finger to his nose.
"Patience is a virtue Jaden, good things come to those who wait." Tatsu teases walking away swaying her hips giving him a show.
"Oh that girl is good." Jaden smirks before walking to the showers. "Boy this break is becoming eventful."
After the showers, Jaden and Tatsu were about to walk out of the gym when they heard a new story on the TV.
"A string of robberies has gone down these last few days where an unknown thief has been sneaking into multiple locations and stealing valuables." The news anchor said.
"Another criminal?" Tatsu asks.
"Crime doesn't take a holiday." Jaden said.
"For the past few days, we were unable to find any clues about who the thief was until last night when the criminal attacked the Metropolis Museum." The news anchor said as they showed a clip of the security guard.
"I saw it with my own eyes, it was Super Hero High's very own Catwoman." He said shocking Tatsu and Jaden.
"What?!" Both gasp in horror as they turned up the volume.
"She was dressed in a black leather suit, with a whip in her hand, and was saying cat puns. If I were Prinicpal Waller I would find this bad cat and crate her for life, in Belle Reve!" He said as Jaden looks in horror.
"That can't be right. Sure Catwoman isn't the nicest hero, but she's not a thief." Tatsu said.
"This is bad, Tatsu." Jaden said not liking this at all.
After Jaden and Tatsu went their separate ways Jaden made his way home and saw multiple wanted posters of Catwoman all over the place.
"Selina what is going on?" Jaden asks when his spider sense went off.
Turning around a figure tried to grab him but he grabs them and pins them to the wall.
"Hmm still sharp as ever." Jaden looks to see it was Selina wearing a baseball cap and shades over her normal clothes.
"Selina? What's going on?" Jaden asks letting go.
"Jaden please you have to help me. I'm being framed." Selina said.
At Jaden's house, Selina was sitting down as Maya walked over.
"So you're Catwoman huh? Do you want some…milk?" Maya offers.
"Uh yes please." Selina nods as Maya poured her a glass.
"You know Jaden I know you have quite a few girls but are you sure about this?" Maya asks pointing to her. "She's wanted."
"It's not me stealing! I swear. Isn't Wonder Woman with you?" Selina asks.
"Oh yeah." Jaden said getting up catching onto what she meant.
As Jaden walks out Selina looks to Maya.
"So…you like my son too huh?" Maya narrows her eyes.
"Very much so." Selina said.
"Let me make one thing clear. I may not much about Spider-Man but I know my son and I don't want to see him get his heart broken." Maya said.
"I would never do that." Selina assured as Jaden comes in with the Lasso of Truth.
"Alright Selina let's see. Did you do those robberies?" Jaden asks wrapping her in it.
"No I didn't I wasn't anywhere near those crimes." Selina said causing Jaden's eyes to widen as he lets her go.
"So you are innocent?" Jaden asks.
"Jaden you know me. I steal from our classmates from time to time but deep down I am a hero. Please you gotta help me clear my name." Selina pleads.
Jaden looks to her and puts his hands on hers. "I will Selina. I promise."
Smiling widely Selina grabs Jaden and kisses him on the lips before hugging him. "Thank you." Selina smiles.
As Selina looked at Maya she saw Jaden's mom was giving him the I'm watching you look.
Maya may be on board with Jaden and his multiple girlfriends but that didn't mean she was gonna let any bad influences date him.
That night, at a painting exhibit tons of famous paintings were lined up when a shadowy figured leaped in.
"Mmm so many choices. But which one?" The thief asks when she spotted the original Starry Night by Van Goh. "Jackpot."
Taking out some powder, the thief blew it revealing the security system.
Using a series of cat-like movements she made her way towards the painting.
She was about to grab it when a whip flew in forcing the figure to jump back.
"Found you." Catwoman said leaping in. "You're the thief who's been going around as me stealing."
"So you're Catwoman huh? I have to say I'm kind of insulted people think I'm you." The thief said standing up. "How'd you know where to look for me?"
"Cats are curious, plus I had some help." Catwoman said when the lights turned on and we got a perfect view of the thief who was a teenage girl around the same age as Selina.

"Okay I'm starting to see why they thought she was you." The woman turned around to see Spider-Man by the light switch. "Since it's clear you're not Catwoman what should we call you?"
"Call me Black Cat and you shouldn't cross my path." Black Cat smirks.
"You ticked off the wrong kitty." Catwoman said as Black Cat turns to her and she flicks her whip.
"Sorry putty tat, but I'm the real Alpha Cat in this room." Black Cat said taking out her whip.

"What the?" Catwoman asks getting up.

"Hey that's my thing!" Catwoman snaps tackling Black Cat to the ground.

"I gotta ask of all the painting why that one?" Spider-Man asks firing a web at Black Cat trapping her arm just as she was about to grab the painting.
"Cats like starry skies and this one will get me a pretty penny." Black Cat said breaking free.
"Assuming anyone can actually buy it." Catwoman said flicking her whip forcing Black Cat to jump back only for Spider-Man to deliver a fierce punch knocking her back.
"Nice moves hot stuff. What do you say you ditch the kitty and team up with a real cat?" Black Cat offers.
"Sorry but he's my spider." Catwoman said leaping into attack but Black Cat leaps towards the roof.
"Really? Sorry but he can do way better than you." Black Cat said going onto the roof with the two heroes right behind her.
"Flattered as I am we just met and I'm not the kind of spider." Spider-Man said.
"Give a cat a chance and I'll make you that kind of spider." Black Cat said moving in with her claws but Spider-Man grows his stingers and blocks them.
"You're not the only sneaky one around here Black Cat." Spider-Man said pushing back when Catwoman wraps her whip around Black Cat's legs before yanking her in and kicking her in the face knocking her to the edge of the roof.
As Black Cat struggles to keep her balance she saw the cops pulling in.
But just as she was about to fall Spider-Man grabbed her arm surprising her.
"You saved me?" Black Cat asks.
"Don't get cocky. I just need to do this." Spider-Man said before turning her around as Catwoman stood next to him. "Officers! This is your cat burglar, Black Cat! Catwoman is innocent!"
As the police gasp at this and realize their mistake Black Cat looks to Spider-Man.
"Hmm using me to get what you want. Gotta say Spidey you're something else." Black Cat said before breaking out of his hold and kicking him in the gut.
"Spider-Man!" Catwoman gasps before Black Cat swings her claws forcing Catwoman to jump back only to be punched in the face and knocked to the ground.
"Maybe next time it can be just you and me." Black Cat said winking at Spider-Man before making her escape.
Groaning both heroes sat up.
"Dammit, she got away." Catwoman groans.
"We came out here to prove you're innocent. We didn't catch her, but at least now everyone knows you and Black Cat are totally different people." Spider-Man said.
"I guess, what do we do now?" Catwoman asks.
"First things first we gotta tell Waller about this so she'll let you come back to school." Spider-Man said.
As Spider-Man and Catwoman left Black Cat was watching them with interest from a few rooftops away.

At Selina's apartment, Jaden and Selina explained everything to Principal Waller who was on the computer.
"So the thefts were made by a thief named Black Cat, Catwoman was completely innocent." Jaden said.

"So I'm still a student?" Selina asks.
"Absolutely I'll see you both back at Super Hero High in a few days. Now get some rest you two have earned it." Waller said hanging up.
