Chapter 49: Batnapped

We find ourselves in a secure prison location. Making our way to the darkest part of it we suddenly hear the sound of Beyonce playing in the background.
In Klarion's cell, we see the young villain laying on bed reading a book while a small screen was playing Single Ladies next to him.

"Hmm Strange was right, she's good." Klarion admits enjoying the music when suddenly it stopped showing he was getting a message.
"Hey I was listening to that." Klarion sits up to see Vandal Savage on the other end. "Savage, good to see you're back."
"I gave you one job. Take over the earth while the Justice League is away, how hard is that?" Vandal asks.
"Hey this wasn't my fault, it was those stupid Avengers." Klarion said.
"Avengers? Our plans were ruined by a bunch of high school kids and their mentors. Now we have more heroes rising up to be thorns in our plans." Savage said.
"Well I hope you have a plan to deal with them." Klarion smirks seeing it was his problem not his anymore.
"Oh I do and it starts with getting you out. Sit tight." Vandal said hanging up.
"Oh goodey looks like I better enjoy this while I have the chance." Klarion said turning up the volume.

Later that day as the sun was setting a figure was making her way to Superhero High. It was a teenage girl with blonde hair and glasses.
"Superhero High." She grins before walking in.
Up in the air, Batgirl was flying her new jet on patrol of the city when another jet in the shape of a moth flew after her.
Looking down at her sensors Batgirl saw it coming.
"Killer Moth wants to play huh?" Adjusting the controls Batgirl increased her speed and raced ahead.
Thinking she lost him Batgirl grins. "Ha bug brains can't keep up with the bat." Batgirl said when suddenly Killer Moth's jet appeared in front of her and fired.
As her jet shook violently, Batgirl tried to counterattack but Killer's Moth ship had a shield.
"How do you like my upgraded shield Batgirl? Now say bye-bye to the Batjet!" Killer Moth said as his ship gained on her and fired relentlessly.
"Aaah! Come on! Batjet signal the Avengers!" Batgirl said.
"Communications jammed." The computer said.
"Oh no." Batgirl panics trying to get out of there but couldn't shake him.
Firing one last big shot the Batjet began to plummet to the ground causing Batgirl to scream before everything went black.
Later at an unknown location, Batgirl woke up only to see she was dangling upside down in what appeared to be a cocoon.
"Ugh what the? Hey what's with these webs?" Batgirl said.
"Webs? Ugh dumb Spider-Man. Thanks to him whenever people think of bugs they think of him." Emerging from the shadows, Batgirl saw Killer Moth approach her.
"Killer Moth." Batgirl glares.
"I'm glad my cocoon kept you safe. I wouldn't want anything to happen to my new partner." Killer Moth said.
"New partner?" Batgirl said confused.
"Think about it. You're too good for the Avengers. Join me and we can call ourselves Creatures of the Night." Killer Moth said causing her eyes to widen.
"Uh…" Not sure how to answer, Batgirl clicked her wrist communicator sending out a signal.
Back at Superhero High, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman and Supergirl were hard at work on their vehicle projects in the garage.
Supergirl had her own ship while Wonder Woman and Spider-Man had their own motorbikes.
"Alright just a few more tweaks the Spider Cycle will be all good to go." Spider-Man said slowly lifting his mask up to see his project.
"You kids should call it a night." Dr. Magnus said. "Your projects will be here tomorrow morning."
"You got it Doc." Jaden said.
"Just a few more minutes." Wonder Woman said when the girl with blonde hair and glasses walked in.
"Hey Doc Magnus I got that copper wiring you asked for." She said.
'Wait that voice.' Jaden pauses looking in her direction when the girl sees Supergirl's ship.
"Whoa look at that beauty." She whistles impressed.
"Oh my parents did all the real work. I'm just adding some mods." Supergirl said.
"A specimen. Oh you got a little gunk there. Ruining that spaceship shine." She said grabbing a rag and wiping the gunk off.
"Thanks, dust from Krypton crystalizes. Sticks to everything." Supergirl said.
"I'm Lena the new IT girl." She introduced.
Hearing her name, Jaden yelps and pulls the mask down over her face.
"Oh you got Batgirl's old job." Supergirl smiles shaking her hand. "Spider-Man come meet Lena."
"Uh hey there, uh nice to meet you." Spider-Man said walking over. "Supergirl can I have a word with you?"
Grabbing her by the hand, Spider-Man yanks Supergirl out of the room.
"Nice to meet you too." Lena grins picking up a rag that had some kryptonite dust.
In the hallway, Jaden yanks off his mask showing a panicked face.
"Jaden what's wrong? Why are you acting like this?" Supergirl asks.
"I know that girl." Jaden said.
"You do? Oh that's great." Supergirl said.
"No, not great. Back when I was little she was my worst enemy in the world of Science Fairs." Jaden said.
"Science Fairs?" Supergirl said not expecting that.
"Yeah my dad got me into science when I was little I was pretty good for my age. Just kept getting better and better to the point I could compete in them. Lena Thurol was always competing against me." Jaden cringed at the memory.
Flashback:
We see an 8-Year-old Jaden standing alongside an 8-year-old Lena with their science projects. Jaden's project had multiple beakers lined up while Lena's was also on chemistry.
"And the winner of the Metropolis Junior Science Fair is…Jaden Cooper!" The judge said giving Jaden the blue ribbon.
"Whoo! That's my boy!" Ryan cheers as he and Maya run up to congratulate their son.
Growling Lena glared at Jaden who turns to her.
"That was close I thought you were gonna win." Jaden said holding out his hand to shake but Lena swats it away.
"Don't get used to it. Next time I'll be the one walking out with the Blue Ribbon." Lena said before storming off in a huff.
"What was that about?" Jaden asks.
"Don't let her get to you sweetie. She's just being a sore loser." Maya said.
"Hey let's get a picture of you and your winning project." Ryan said as someone took a picture of the happy family together.
But nearby Lena was looking at Jaden. "Get ready Jaden Cooper because I'm taking you down." Lena vows.
Flashback End:
"And for 4 years Lena and I competed against each other in Science fairs and each time I won she hated me even more until finally, we grew out of our category. After that I focused on school and stopped competing." Jaden finished.
"Wow, sounds like you two had quite the rivalry." Supergirl said. "How many times did she win?"
"Uh…never." Jaden admits.
"You won the Science Fair against her 5 times in a row?" Supergirl said amazed.
"Hey before I was Spider-Man science was my superpower." Jaden smiles proud of that.
"Wow so Jaden Cooper had an archenemy." Supergirl giggles at the thought.
"Kara please, if she finds out I'm here and a superhero my secret identity is done for you. When she's nearby the mask stays on. She can't know my identity." Jaden begs.
"Hmm I don't know Jaden you're asking me to lie." Kara said.
"How about a date night?" Jaden offers.
"Done." She smiles when her bracer beeped. "Oh no Batgirl's in trouble. That's her tracking signal."
"Come on, let's go." Jaden said about to put his mask on. "Hey Kara. Thank you." Leaning in Jaden pecks her on the cheek before putting his mask on making her giggle.
"Oh I am gonna milk this for all I can." She smiles before following after him.
At Killer Moth's base he was playing some lame jingle.
"Ugh are you trying to torture me into joining you?" Batgirl cringed.
"Torture? This is our new theme music." Killer Moth said.
"Oh dear god." Batgirl said hating this more and more with each passing second.
Suddenly the wall was busted down revealing Supergirl and Spider-Man.
"What are you doing in a dark den like this moth? I thought you guys were suckers for sunlight." Spider-Man said.
"Nice call on the homing tech, led us right to you." Supergirl said using her heat vision to break the cocoon allowing Spider-Man to swing in and cut her out with his stingers.
"Just in time, he wanted me to sing with him." Batgirl said.
"You monster." Spider-Man said.
"Spider-Man." Killer Moth glares.
Pulling out a ray gun, Killer Moth was about to fire when Supergirl used her superbreath to sending flying into a couch.
"And by the way my answer is a big fat hell no." Batgirl said emphasizing the last two words.
"But I even got us matching mugs." Killer Moth said holding them up.
"Too bad you can't use them in jail." Spider-Man said webbing him up with ease.
Killer Moth struggles to get out but couldn't.
Spider-Man's webs were far stronger than his cocoon.
"What about being partners?" Killer Moth asks.
"Sorry Killer Moth but I'm a one-bug gal." Batgirl said leaning next to Spider-Man. "Besides I'm already on the best team in the world."
"Don't worry, the cops will be here any minute to get you a nice comfy cell." Spider-Man said.
"Come on Avengers let's get out of here." Supergirl smiles as they went home.
Back at the school, Jaden was walking Barbara back to her room.
"So wait the new IT girl was your rival from when you were a kid?" Barbara said surprised.
"I know right." Jaden cringed.
"Jaden it's been years I think she's probably forgotten about you." Barbara said.
"I hope so. But even so I'm not going anywhere without my mask." Jaden said holding it in his hand making her giggle.
"You are the only student at this school who is so commited to secret identity. Even in here where everyone is sworn to secrecy." Barbara smiles.
"Sorry I worry, kinda like I when I heard you were kidnapped." Jaden said.
"You were worried about me?" Barbara asks interested.
"Of course, look just because you're a hero doesn't change that you're my girlfriend. You're my partner, my girl, my science buddy, you're the best." Jaden lists making Barbara feel happy with each compliment.
Wrapping her arms around him Barbara gives Jaden a big kiss on the lips.
"Was it something I said?" Jaden asks.
"Yes it was." Barbara winks. "And for the record I'd do the same thing if you were kidnapped."
"I might hold you to that, I've made quite a few enemies." Jaden said.
"In the meantime what do you say you and I have a nice relaxing night." Barbara said.
"What did you have in mind?" Jaden asks interested.
Grabbing his hand Barbara pulls Jaden down the hall.
Meanwhile, in the teacher's lounge Iron Man, Captain America and Doctor Strange were with Waller as she explained Fury's latest decision.
In front of them they saw the forms of Nightwing, Starfire, Cyborg, Beastboy, Bumblebee and Jolt Arachnid.
"The Teen Titans?" Iron Man said lifting up his helmet.
"Yes, Fury has created a second team of heroes and since they're also part of SHEILD odds are you'll be running into them soon.
"Hmm I know all these students. Seem pretty well balanced." Doctor Strange said.
"Each one has special powers or skills. Just like the Avengers." Captain America noticed.
"Hmm." Narrowing his eyes Tony looked right at Nightwing's paper. "Well, well, well. The First Boy Wonder. So this is what you chose after you ditched the red."
"You know Nightwing?" Doctor Strange asks surprised.
"Back when he was the original Robin. Batman's protege." Tony said.
"Hmm so does that mean he and Spider-Man are gonna have to continue the rivalry?" Waller smirks.
"Please Jaden could take him easy." Tony said.
"I'm gonna take that as a yes." Captain America whispers to Doctor Strange who chuckles.
"Anyway I brought you here to meet some people." Waller said as Grodd opened the door.
"I brought them." Grodd said as Black Widow, Falcon and Hawkeye entered the room.
Turning around the 6 adults looked at each other.
"I take you guys are the Titan's mentors?" Captain America asks.
"You would be correct sir." Hawkeye chuckles.
"Gotta say Fury knows how to pick'em." Tony whistles at Widow but she rolls her eyes.
"Yeah I'm sure that works on other girls but not me." Black Widow rejects.
"I think I'm gonna like you guys." Doctor Strange said.
"It's an honor to meet you." Falcon said holding out his hand. "Sam Wilson."
"Steve Rogers." Cap said shaking his hand. "Your file says you're a military man."
"Yep, 58th Pararescue, 2 tours. Must have freaked you out coming home after your defrost." Falcon said.
"Takes some getting used to. Having a daughter definitely tops the list." Cap said taking off his mask.
"You miss the good old days." Falcon assumes.
"Well things aren't so bad now. I'm married, got a family with one on the way, foods really good now. We used to boil everything, oh and the internet's been a big help learning a lot from that." Steve said making him chuckle.
"Hope you don't mind me asking for a few notes on training from time to time?" Falcon asks.
"Sure thing." Steve smiles.
Seeing the two groups of mentors talk, Waller couldn't help but smile.
"You think these people can lead teams?" Grodd asks.
"Why not? They all certainly act like one right now." Waller gestures.
