Chapter 51: Kryptomites

Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. Now I'm very happy to say this story now has over 500 followers and favorites! Whoo! Thank you all for your support guys it really means a lot. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.

We find ourselves in the lab, as Diana, Kara and Spider-Man helped bring in the damaged Batjet. After taking on Killer Moth and Asgardian Hunters that thing was in dire need of upgrades.

"Oof this thing looks like it's seen better days." Spider-Man said taking off his mask.

"I can't believe Loki turned you into a pig and sent hunters after you." Wonder Woman said.

"Don't worry it takes more than a few warriors to bring Jaden down." Barbara said. "Plus with our anniversary tomorrow, there was no way I was gonna let you die."

"I haven't forgotten." Jaden blushes.

Needless to say, Diana and Kara were a little jealous that Barbara got a whole night with Jaden all to herself, but if it wasn't for her they wouldn't even have him in their lives.

"So you think you'll be able to get this thing fixed up?" Diana asks.

"Yeah, most of this will buff out. Plus I've been meaning to downsize it anyway." Barbara said patting the ship making it collapse.

"Better get to work." Diana cringed.

Soon all 4 heroes were hard at work on projects.

While Kara and Barbara were working on their jets, Diana was working on her motorcycle that could turn invisible.

"I gotta ask why you Amazons feel the need to make things invisible?" Jaden asks sitting at a desk working on his project.

"Hey this is the same spell that was used to hide Themyscira for thousands of years. To be able to use it is an honor in the highest." Diana said as her motorcycle turned visible again.

"But what if you forget where you parked it?" Jaden asks.

"I won't forget…but uh just in case don't suppose that spidey sense of yours could help me find it?" Diana asks nervously.

"Doesn't work like that. It only alerts me to danger." Jaden said.

"So how come you're not working on your vehicle?" Diana asks.

"Almost done. Right now I want to finish this little project." Jaden said grabbing some tools.

Intrigued, Diana walks over to see sparks flying from it.

"Alright just got put on the finishing touches." Jaden said looking through a magnifying glass as he hooked up some wires.

Suddenly a pair of eyes turned on causing him to grin.

"Hey there little fella." Jaden said looking down at him.

As she heard a squeaking noise, Diana looks over Jaden's shoulder and gasps.

On the table was a cute little red spider bot with eye slots like Spider-Man's masks and blue tips at the end its 8 legs.

"Diana say hello to TRACE-E." Jaden smiles as TRACE-E scurries up his arm and waves at her.

"Aww a little spidey robot." Diana giggles holding up a finger.

"Don't let its size or appearance fool you. TRACE-E is a very handy little helper. Not only can it track objects or individuals for stealth missions but it's also got some of my web formulae in it as well as a few other defensive functions." Jaden smiles as TRACE-E waves an arm in flattery.

"How's it acting like that?" Diana asks.

"I used a little algorithm to give TRACE-E a friendly/ helpful personality. Figure if it's gonna be helping us I might as well like hanging out with him." Jaden said.

"Sounds like you made yourself a robot pet." Diana smirks.

"A pet?" Jaden pauses looking down at the spider bot who squeaks at him. "No TRACE-E is supposed to be a companion. Someone to help me with hero tasks, help me with my experiments, be a friendly hand with my science work, and if possible, help support me with…oh my god I made myself a robot pet." Jaden said in realization.

Squeaking TRACE-E's eyes moved up meaning it laughing.

"Hey it even has your sense of humor." Diana giggles.

Looking down at TRACE-E, Jaden smiled softly.

"Well I always wanted a pet, but we could never afford one." Jaden said.

Across from them, Kara was putting on the final touches.

"Okay I think it was the aquamarine wire connects to the puce wire." Kara said using her heat vision to melt the two wires together.

"Defense missile activated." Her ship's computer said as a hatch opened up and a missile appeared.

"Uh oh." Kara gulps.

"Hit the deck!" Jaden yells as they all jumped down before the missile was fired.

Flying around the room, everyone watched the missile fly out of the large opening in the roof and into the air.

Titling its head TRACE-E squeaks making it sound like "Uh oh".

"You said it TRACE-E." Jaden cringed.

"I got it!" Kara said flying out after it before it did any damage.

Flying in front of it, Kara grabs onto the missile to try and keep it under control.

Swerving and flying around the missile and Kara turned towards the school.

"Targeting Superhero High."

"No!" Kara panics.

Acting quickly Kara rams into the missile hoping to steer it off course. However the hit was too much and the missile flew down and crashed into the IT Lab.

"The IT Lab." Kara cringed flying down to examine the damages.

Running out, Jaden, Barbara and Diana see the damages and cringe.

"Thank god I no longer stay in there anymore." Barbara cringed.

"It's a good thing the new IT girl doesn't work on Saturdays. Should we text her to let her know that her office was destroyed?" Kara asks.

"I think that's more of an in-person conversation." Diana cringed.

Leaving TRACE-E at school, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Batgirl and Supergirl went to an old warehouse that Lena had rented out.

"Now remember the name Jaden Cooper never comes up." Spider-Man reminds.

"Uh you know everyone who enters the school is sworn to secrecy about the whole secret identity thing?" Batgirl reminds.

"Jaden's worried because years ago he and Lena were Science Fair enemies when they were kids and he always beat her." Supergirl explains.

"And you think she's still holding a grudge against you? Come on Jaden it was years ago." Batgirl chuckles.

"Just do it. He already promised me a date night for my silence." Supergirl smiles.

"Ooh put me down for a date night too and you got mine." Wonder Woman grins liking this deal.

"When the heck did I become a bargaining chip?" Spider-Man asks.

"Around the time you fell for us and we fell for you." Supergirl teases.

"Hey you should be flattered this is all we want." Batgirl said leaning in.

"Wait how come you're not trying to bribe for silence?" Spider-Man asks.

"Because I already have a date with you. And I want to make sure it's a night to remember." Batgirl teases.

'These are the women I've chosen to love.' Spider-Man thought.

Inside the warehouse, we see Lena in a small lab looking at the particles she took from the rag through a microscope.

"Hello my pretty Kryptonite crystals. You're so weak not even Supergirl knew you were there, but I have just the cure for that." Taking out a vial, Lena drops a strange liquid on it causing the Kryptonite to grow in size to the point it was almost as big as TRACE-E.

"My very first Kryptomite. That calls for a selfie." Lena said taking out her phone to take a pic when her screens showed the 4 heroes approaching the warehouse. "What are they doing here?"

Upstairs, the heroes entered the warehouse.

"Hello! Lena, anyone here?" Wonder Woman calls out.

"Wow 4 Avengers in one place." Lena said climbing up the stairs. "How's it going?"

"Supergirl has something she wants to share with you." Batgirl said nudging her forward.

"Uh Lena, I accidentally exploded your office at school. I'm so sorry." Supergirl apologized.

"Oh no problem. Things like that happen everyday." Lena brushes off.

"Really? You're fine with it?" Spider-Man asks.

"Well I mean I just applied here so I didn't exactly have time to move all my stuff there. It's not that big a deal." Lena said.

Downstairs in Lena's lab, the Kryptomite began to shake before a small face appeared on it.

Speaking in a sort of garbled talk the Kyrptomite leaps off the table and began tearing the lab apart.

Flipping over a table Lena's bag spilled open and a piece of paper landed right by the stairs as it made its escape.

At the same time, Lena was urging the heroes towards the door.

"So thanks again for stopping by. All is forgiven." Lena said pushing them out.

"Wait are you sure there's nothing we can do to make it up to you?" Supergirl asks.

"Nope I'm good." Lena said shutting the door in their faces.

"Well she sure took it well." Wonder Woman said confused.

"I don't get it. I break a window and I'm labeled a menace instantly. You break a whole building and you don't even get yelled at?" Spider-Man asks.

"Maybe since we saved the city the citizens are going easy on us since they know we can handle the big stuff now." Batgirl theorized.

"Maybe but I don't remember Lena being so forgiving growing up." Spider-Man said.

"Guess she's matured." Supergirl said as they turned around to leave.

Little did they know up above them, the warehouse rent sign loosened to reveal this was an old LexCorp warehouse.

Making her way downstairs, Lena saw her destroyed lab.

"Oh no, what did you do?" Lena asks when she noticed the piece of paper on the ground.

Bending down Lena picks it up and in it we see a copy of an article. On it we see a 13-Year-old Lena and Jaden holding up their gold and silver ribbons.

"Whatever it is. I know for a fact you could never beat it." Lena smirks.

Back outside, the escaped Krytomite spotted the 4 heroes walking away.

Chuckling it followed after them and as a result Supergirl held her head in pain.

"Ugh I don't feel so good." Supergirl groans leaning against Spider-Man whose spidey sense went off.

"Don't feel good? But you're Supergirl, you don't do sick." Batgirl said.

"Behind us!" Spider-Man said as they turned to see the Kryptomite coming towards them making Supergirl feel worse.

"Kryptonite!" Wonder Woman said.

"Since when does Kryptonite move?" Batgirl asks.

"I don't know but I don't want to find out." Supergirl groans.

"Stay away from my friend you little pest!" Taking out her grappling hook, Batgirl throws it and ties the Kryptomite up.

Using it's sharp tips, it managed to cut itself free and continue on.

"Freeze you moving rock!" Spider-Man said firing a web tying it up.

Struggling the little pest was having a little more difficulty breaking free of the web.

Ripping a light post out of the ground Wonder Woman brings it down on the Kryptomite smashing it into pebbles.

"You're safe now Supergirl." Wonder Woman said as Spider-Man and Batgirl helped her up.

"Thanks." Supergirl groans.

Up in the sky dark clouds formed causing it to rain.

"Let's get you back to Superhero High." Batrgirl said making their way back.

As the water poured down on the Kryptomite pebbles causing dozens of smaller Kryptomites to appear where it was, but the 4 heroes were long gone.

Bringing Kara back to her room, Jaden puts her on her bed to rest.

"A little rest and you should be as good as new." Jaden assures.

"Ugh that must have looked so lame. Me being like this because of a walking rock." Kara groans.

"A little, but hey no one's perfect." Jaden said.

"You know Barbara's been pretty eager for your big anniversary tomorrow. Hope you two have a lot of fun planned." Kara said.

"I hope so too, but don't worry. We'll figure out our date night soon." Jaden said.

"Promise?" Kara asks.

"Promise." Leaning in Jaden gives Kara a kiss on the lips making her smile. "Now get some rest Kara."

As he walked out Kara let out a sigh before lying down. "Now he's a weakness I don't mind having."

Leaving the room, Jaden sees TRACE-E flying towards him.

"Whoa nice to see your hover programming works." Jaden said impressed.

Smiling TRACE-E drops down on Jaden's shoulder and squeaks eagerly.

"You want to go out into the field?" Jaden asks as TRACE-E. "I don't know I kinda made you to be support."

Narrowing his eyes TRACE-E bangs his front limbs together to its frustration.

"Geez alright alright I'll give you a chance." Jaden said.

Eyes moving in TRACE-E squeaks happily.

"Only I could make a robot that acts like me." Jaden sighs.

Back at Lena's warehouse, we see Lena wearing a hazmat suit as she opened a hatch revealing an angry red Kryptomite.

"Ooh a feisty one." Lena said grabbing it with some metal pliers.

Putting it on a table, Lena aims a machine at it.

"With all my new Kryptomites, I can't wait to see what you can do." Turning the machine on a ray blasts the red Kryptomite.

An hour later, the Save the Day Alarm went off.

"Save the Day Alarm!" Bumblebee declares as heroes rushed out with her.

In the group was Cyborg, Poison Ivy, Frost, Harley Quinn, Shadowcat, Flash, Batgirl, Human Torch and Spider-Man with TRACE-E on his shoulder left.

In Metropolis, Kryptomites were everywhere causing trouble wherever they went.

"Oh great there's more of them." Spider-Man cringed.

"Good thing you had Supergirl stay behind." Batgirl said taking out a bataraang. "Alright everyone destroy as many as possible. Don't let a single one out of your sight!"

Nodding all the heroes sprang into action.

"Flame on!" Surrounding himself with flames, Human Torch flew in and crushed the Kryptomites with his flaming stomp attack.

"Booyah!" Following suit, Cyborg joined him in the crushing.

Taking out her mallet, Harley smashed as many Kryptomites as possible with Bumblebee blasting some remainders in their area.

"Yowzah!" Harley gasps.

"What the nuts and bolts?" Cyborg said confused.

"If we smash them they'll just make more." Bumblebee said.

"But then how do we beat them?" Human Torch asks powering down so the rain didn't affect him.

"Freeze Krypotmite!" Frost said ready to attack it.

"Wait a second." Poison Ivy interrupts. "What is that?"

Looking up they saw the chunk was under an awning leaving it dry.

"Chemically speaking it's just a crystal." Frost said examining it.

"But it's also organic." Poison Ivy said when Spider-Man dropped down upside down startling them.

"These things thrive on water and other features like living things but they're just fabricated in the lab. If we can figure out the algorithm to neutralize it, we can revert these Kryptomites back to ordinary rocks."

"TRACE-E make sure no Kryptomite gets away." Spider-Man said.

Squeaking in understanding, TRACE-E moves a hand up to salute him before jumping off.

"I don't suppose that brain of yours can help us figure out how to do it?" Human Torch asks dropping in.

"This is both Biology and Chemistry I bet with the 3 of us we can figure out a plan." Poison Ivy said.

"Spidey web as much of these things up as you can." Human Torch said.

"On it." Spider-Man nods.

"Come on!" Frost said as the 3 of them ran off.

As TRACE-E examined all the damages, it noticed Flash running around at super speed smashing every Kryptomite insight.

Running into the restaurant, Flash sees Batgirl and Shadowcat trying to help while Steve tried to fight off the Kryptomites with a mop while Stan shooed them away with a frying pan.

"Stay away you dumb rocks!" Steve said.

"Clear out. No shirts, no shoes, no service!" Stan said.

"I got'em fellas!" Flash said grabbing a Trash Can and scooped up all the green ones.

"Thanks Flash." Steve said.

"I tell ya Steve the restaurant business is a lot tougher than it used to be." Stan said.

Nearby the Red Kryptomite growls at them sending red waves.

Groaning Steve turns to Stan with an angry expression.

"Why did your restaurant have to blow up? I wish we never formed this partnership." Steve said.

"You think you're so easy to work with? Hardly. The only thing you're good for is following orders. Join the miliary soldier boy!" Stan said.

"A Red Kryptomite?" Shadowcat said surprised.

"Different colors must affect humans in different ways." Batgirl realized.

Roaring at them the Red Kryptomite made the two girls angry.

"Ugh. Why did you have to ask Jaden out first?! I liked him way before you!" Shadowcat snaps.

"You snooze you lose! You think I like having my man worried about tons of other girls before our anniversary?! It's supposed to be my alone time!" Batgirl snaps.

"Okay I'm guessing red means angry." Flash gulps not wanting to get between those two.

As the Red Kryptomite was about to make its escape something leaps out from below and tackles it.

Falling into the kitchen the Red Kryptomite growls as it looks up to see TRACE-E glaring at it.

Using its red waves the Kryptomite tried to make TRACE-E angry but since TRACE-E was a robot it had no effect.

Narrowing its eyes to show a smirk, TRACE-E squeaks as it flew in and rammed into the Kryptomite knocking it onto the counter.

Throwing a garbled insult at it, the Red Kryptomite grabs a meat hammer from nearby.

Squeaking in retaliation, TRACE-E fires a web knocking the knife out of its hand.

Gasping the Red Kryptomite was left defenseless and TRACE-E punches the Kryptomite in the face multiple times before firing a web latching onto it.

Before the Kryptomite could react TRACE-E swings it around sending it crashing into a ceiling fan.

Groaning the Kryptomite shook it off and looked down to see TRACE-E pointing and laughing at it.

Growling in anger, the Red Kryptomite breaks itself free and dives down crashing into TRACE-E.

Flying around trying to shake it off, the Kryptomite punches TRACE-E multiple times.

Eyes sharpening TRACE-E activated its defense setting. From the tip of its leg, TRACE-E zaps the Kryptomite with a taser setting making it scream in pain and let go.

Crashing near the exit, the Kryptomite sees TRACE-E land in front of it.

Snapping in garbled talk the Red Kryptomite grabbed a cutting knife while TRACE-E held out its front two legs revealing Jaden had installed mini stingers in them.

Roaring the little buddies charged at each other and swung. However, TRACE-E's stingers were much sharper than a measly kitchen knife making it shatter.

Using this opening TRACE-E fires a web while it was defenseless. Tying the Red Kryptomite up to the point only its face was visible, TRACE-E walks over and grabs it by the web dragging it out while the Kryptomite whined and complained.

Squeaking in a mocking tone TRACE-E rolls its eyes before throwing it against the wall knocking the Kryptomite out cold.

On the other side of the room, Batgirl and Shadowcat snapped out of their trance to reveal Batgirl had Shadowcat pinned to the wall while Shadowcat had dragged her legs through the floor.

"Whoa uh..." Bargirl said confused.

"Uh hang on a second." Shadowcat said helping her out.

"So…I'm guessing you confessed not too long ago?" Batgirl assumes.

"Yeah but…you know nothing too crazy yet. S-Sorry about that." Shadowcat said.

"It's never easy when you learn your boyfriend is a total ladies man." Batgirl said.

"Let me tell you he certainly didn't become like this until after he started dating you." Shadowcat said making her giggle.

Outside in all the chaos, Spider-Man was crawling along the walls firing every web he could trying to tie up the Kryptomites but there were so many.

Gathering them all up, Spider-Man attempts to fire but ran out of webs.

"Oh come on. Not now." Spider-Man groans.

As the army of Kryptomites surrounded them, Poison Ivy, Frost and Human Torch flew in holding some ballons and strange blasters.

"We cracked it!" Human Torch said.

"We created an anti-hydroscopic solution that inhibits the crystallization." Frost said.

"Huh?" Harley said confused.

"They figured out a way to shut them down." Spider-Man said as they handed the blasters to Bumblebee and Cyborg and the water balloons to Harley.

"Now get squirting." Poison Ivy said.

While Shadowcat, Spider-Man, TRACE-E, Batgirl and Flash rounded them all up Poison Ivy, Frost, Cyborg, Bumblebee, Human Torch and Harley used the new formula turning all the Kryptomites into ordinary rocks.

Pressing a remote, Batgirl opens a large storage container allowing them to be put away.

"That's the last of them." Cyborg said putting them all in the container making everyone cheer.

"So TRACE-E those little pests give you any trouble?" Spider-Man asks.

Squeaking TRACE-E brushes it off saying no worries.

"I think I'm gonna like having you around." Spider-Man chuckles.

Turning around he saw Batgirl winking at him.

Needless to say after all this both of them were eager for their big date tomorrow.

As all of them celebrated nobody noticed Harley holding the stone that was formerly the red Kryptomite.

"They won't miss one. Plus you match my home décor. We were meant to be little red." Harley said hugging the rock unaware of the red Kryptomite's face appearing on it.

This Kryptomite danger was far from over. They just didn't know it.
