America's point of view.
I just left my spa day. Feeling a little giddy from the champagne I'd shared with all the best women in my life. I walked into my bedroom and there were roses on my bed with a note in maxons handwriting .
My dearest America,
By this time tomorrow you will be my Wife. I love you more and more every day. You have been my queen since the first night in the gardens. I may not have known it then , but when I look back I think my heart did. America, I know Tomorrow we will take the age old vows of marriage, but I want to give you my own vows the way some couples do when a nation isn't watching.
America, I vow to always love you. I vow to dance with you every time it rains. I vow to have time to be your husband every day, not just a King. I vow to put you first in my life, and show you all the love you deserve every day. I vow to be a good father to our children , I vow to you America, that though the world will look to me to be a leader and I will lead them as their king, but in our home I vow to follow you, for my dear … to follow you… is to follow my own heart . "
I ran to the shared door… knocked on it hoping he was in his room . It opened and I flung myself into his arms and kissed him with everything I had in me. I wanted to tear his shirt apart like he ripped my dress when he told me we would get married but I would be able to do that soon enough so before my body could betray me I darted back to my room and locked the door.
