When both Asta and Yuno got to the city they wandered around looking for the magic knight exam they decide to do some sight-seeing when Asta stops and looks at some weapons that was on display then turns around when he hears a baby crying and see a girl that is about a year or two older then him with long red hair and navy blue eyes and she had two girls with similar hair and eye colour she also had a crying baby on her back all the while carrying two big bags and the teen said ''shh now it's okay no need to cry'' then turns to her sisters and said ''come on we have to hurry and get the shop ready to open''

Yuno still looking at the place that had the small family said ''so Asta what do we do now'' and when he doesn't get an answer he looks and sees Asta is gone and with a sigh said to himself ''should have known normally I would be concerned that he might miss the deadline, but he has always been lucky and arrives at the last minute'' then begins to look for the magic night exam site

Asta who was near the red-haired girl said ''excuse me miss'' gaining teen's attention

''what do you want'' the teenage girl asked with a suspicious tone in her voice but manage to hide from her facial expression

''lust wanted to see if you needed any help, I could take the bags while you settle your baby sister down'' Asta replied missing the doubtful tone in the girls tone

Now looking at Asta with a suspicious look she looks in Asta's eyes to see if he has any ulterior motives said ''how do I know you won't try anything''

Asta thinks for a few moments then said ''then how about I give you my grimoires and you can give them back when I leave'' then hand her his grimoires

Shocked by what Asta just said she then said ''all right I will do it, but you have to carry the bags'' then takes Asta's grimoire sash and Asta picks up the bags then said ''but why would you just hand them over to me after all they do enhance you magic''

Asta looks at the girl and said with pride ''well for normal people and grimoires that may be true but not for me cause I done have a single ounce of magic and I am Asta by the way''

''Rebecca scarlet and what do you mean you don't have magic you must if you have a grimoire'' said the red-haired girl

''not really and my grimoires are special cause unlike normal them have something sealed in them and I know that there are some grimoires out there that are powerful that they have gained a consciousness of their own'' Asta said

''what do you mean by that and why do you say grimoires like you have more than one'' Rebecca asked

''I have two grimoire one has a powerful being that was around even before our current era'' Asta said

Before Rebecca could ask what, he meant by that she saw they was coming up on the store and said ''oh we are coming up on the store''

''cool'' Asta said then asked ''so this is the store you work at''

''not really I am just here helping out while the magic knight exam is going on then I will be going back home a town called Nairn'' Rebecca replied as she opened to door

''Ohh that's a shame I would have like to hang out with you some more'' Asta said sounding a little down

When Rebecca heard this, she looked at Asta with a shocked look and said ''did you mean what you just said Asta that you would like to hang out with me some more and you can place the bags on that table'' then point to a random table then hold out his grimoires and noticed he did have two one then thought (so he was telling the truth when he said he had two so what kind are they the sealed or the power type)

As Asta walks over to a table to put the bags on said ''of cause I do I mean you are sweet kind and caring who knows maybe in time I might ask you on a date'' then grabs his books

Rebecca gains a blush from the compliments and the thoughts of going on dates with the grey-haired boy plagued her mind as well as some risqué that she didn't noticed that Asta was leaving, or her sister was giving him directions to where the exam is then he was gone and when she noticed looks over to her sister and said ''hey Luca where did Asta go''

Luca looks over to her sister said ''Ohh your boyfriend left for the exam as he was running late, and he said bye and hopes to see you again someday''

Rebecca's blush became a deeper red with the boyfriend comment and said ''Asta isn't my boyfriend''

''but you want him to judge by your blush'' Luca said

Knowing that she wouldn't win Rebecca said ''just get to work Luca'' causing the girl to laugh but did as told

Asta who run to the colosseum manage to sign in with a few minutes to spear when he walked into the arena there was chatter about Yuno and his four leaf grimoire then a moment later he was covered in anti-birds included the one from Hage and not really caring as he knows why and as he walks around he didn't noticed that he was about to walk in to someone then all but one of the Anti-birds flow off and the one that didn't is sitting on Asta's shoulder then Asta said ''sorry about that''

when Asta got a good look at the person he saw a bloke that was twice as big as him in every sense on the words and the bloke said ''boy let me ask you this do you have a death wish''

Before Asta could reply Liebe spoke ''wait Asta before you say something stupid this guy isn't our age, he is older also you should know that Nero is on the head''

Asta just tilts his head to the side and the bird somehow stays on and said ''huh'' then thought (who is Nero)

''Nero is the anti-magic bird that our mother had around her before I was sealed'' Liebe replied

The older bloke took the act of confusion the wrong way then grabbed Asta by the head and said ''looks like I just got my answer on whether or not you have a death wish'' and lifted him up and begins to crush him

Then who people showed up and one looked like be practiced dark arts while the other had hazel eyes and hair and the later said when he saw what the muscle person was doing ''about time we found you what are you doing out here''

Not looking back the person said ''well at this moment I am about to ring this kids neck''

While people was recognising who the men are Asta was thinking and not hearing who this bloke was (I don't want to use pride, but I might not have a choice and also who is he)

Asta heard Escanor say ''sir Asta his name is Yami Sukehiro, and he is the captain of the black bulls Squad and from what is going around the arena these black bulls sound like my group the seven deadly sins from my time and Fairy Tail from last Era and so going on that theory they take in all kinds of misfits so they might accept you''

When the man started to count Asta asked ''umm Yami what are you counting to''

''the end to your life'' Yami said without hesitation or batting an eyelid

(Guess I don't have a choice) Asta though and brings out his crimson grimoire as he puts his hands on Yami's arm then Asta's muscles begins to grow shocking Yami

After the shock passes Yami said ''three, two, one times up'' and just as he begins to squeeze Asta's head fireworks go off he lets go and walks of and said ''looks like your lucky kid you get a second chance so don't waste it otherwise I will hunt you down and kill you'' then Finral and Gordon followed close behind

Just then some guy came up and asked ''hey man you okay''

''yeah, I'm okay'' Asta said

''man, I don't envy you one bit after the way you walked in to Yami like that alright I am Sekke, Sekke Bronzazza'' said Sekke

Yeah, nice to me to Asta'' Asta said in a non-caring voice then all of the anti-magic birds save for Nero flew off then everyone notified the nine squad captains coming

Then the golden dawn captain said ''attention examinees as most of you already know who I am and for those who do not I am William Vangeance and I am going to be administrating this years magic knight entrance exam'' then he opens his grimoire and said ''magic tree decent'' then all of a sudden the sky turns pitch black then the wind picks up and then in the eye of it all a golden light shine and tree roots begins to decent and at each tip of the roots being to take shape of a broom and goes to each of the examinees

Once all the examinees has a broom William goes on to explain the rules then went on to say ''now the rules are out of the way your first test will be to fly'' this got many of the participants worried as they had never flown before then William continued ''a mage that has control over their power can do it on instinct as it is our basic way of travel so if you can fly then you are not worthy on being a magic knight now begin''

As many of participants start to fly Asta was walking over to a pillar and Liebe asked ''so Asta what are you going to do''

(Well as I have no magic there is no point in me to embarrass myself and try to fly so this is what I am going to do go over to a pillar and sit down and lean on it and wait the next part) Asta replied

''I think that is a great idea Sir Asta'' came Escanor's voice

Meanwhile up with the captains the captain of the Crimson Lion Fuegoleon Vermillion said/thought out load when he saw Asta not trying ''I wander why that grey haired kid isn't trying''

As the exam went on Asta gave it his all without using his pride grimoire then when it came to the last exam Fuegoleon spoke ''for the last part of the exam you are to pair up and fight as knights battle is our business, so we want to see everything you've got so don't hold back''

''this test will end when one of the combatants surrenders isn't capable of continuing or we say so'' Willaim said

As the examinees began to pair up Sekke walks over to Asta and thinks (this guy hasn't use magic all day so me might not be able to use magic) and he gets closer he sees that Asta isn't panicking and thinks (what the why isn't he panicking he must not know that this test might improve his chances to getting into a squad) and he got to Asta he said ''say why don't we pair up''

''sure, works for me'' Asta said

Then a came up and said ''we are ready for the first bout''

When the arena was cleared all that stood in the middle was Asta and Sekke then Asta said ''Nero mind getting off of me just for the match'' then Nero flew of somewhere and watch then he turned to Sekke and said ''alright then let get started I hope you don't pull any punches cause I won't''

Sekke places a hand on Asta shoulder and said ''will you stop trying its getting embarrassing to watch you are just a street rat that doesn't know he is out of his depth though I should thank you for sticking around and agree to fight me as I will make me look good and when I am picked for a squad I get to put my feet up and enjoy the ride and have as much fun as I can now then lets get this over with then you can scurry on home to the garbage heap you call home'' pissing Asta of for a moment but what nobody noticed was for a split second his eyes went black and a mark appeared above his right eye

''now begin'' the Procter said

''alright Asta remember no pulling your punches'' Sekke said as he begins to make some kind of ball then when if covered him he said ''Bronze Creation Magic: Sekke's Magnum Cannonball'' then looked at the captains and thought (well captains what do you think of my bronze creation magic this particular spell is duel action as it can not only protect me as long as I remain inside but it can attack my opponent with magic bullets) then said ''come on Asta don't get shy on me now''

As Asta open his five-leaf grimoire he said ''this is going to be easy'' then pulls out the sword then run at Sekke at full speed cracking the ground as he starts to run shocking everyone but Yuno there at how fast Asta was

Then before anyone could blink Asta was at the cannonball bringing his sword down and slicing though the spell like it wasn't even there knocking Sekke out and the then Asta said Procter said ''match over'' then Nero flow down and landed on Asta head

Up at the captains they was all shocked at what they just saw most thought that it was some kind of enhancement spell, but Yami thought differently knowing he was in really good shape

''if that's why you want to be a knight Sekke so you can slack off then you don't deserve to become a magic knight'' Asta said then said while channelling some power of the crimson grimoire ''I on the other hand have a noble goal one that will lead me to become the wizard king''

As the test continue and before anyone knew it was time for the selection (same as Conan expert Asta is last) now and when Asta took centre stage but was entirely shocked when no one stood up then Yami said ''no real surprize is it after all nobody want to be anywhere a power like the one you have''

''not really, I gave it my all and if no one want me then its their lost'' Asta said

''and why is it our lost if no one want you''

''now that would be telling'' Asta said

(I swear I am going to kill this brat) Yami thought then said ''what it comes down to at the end of the day is magic power'' then unleashes his magical power causing the whole stadium to shake then he jumps down then walks over to Asta the stops in front of him then said ''so why would anyone want with like you a brat with no power at all so might as well face the fact that f what you said about becoming the wizard king then you are going to show that you are better then all nine squad''

Not backing down from Yami Asta said ''I know I need to be better then the Squad captains and I don't have magic but that right there shows how powerful I can become'' then he stood up straight held his head up high and spoke with pride and determination ''I know the path I choose won't be easy and I know I will stumble along the way but I will never give up and I will never back down and if you say otherwise then I have this to say fuck you''

Yami eased the pressure while looking into the boys eyes and sees the determination in them then he begins to laugh then said ''you know what kid I like you so come join my crew as you have got guts'' shocking everyone there

''see Asta told you they might accept you'' Escanor said

''hate to admit it but Escanor was right'' Liebe said

''so quit gaping like a fish I am saying you that I am letting you join the Black Bulls plus this isn't something you can say no to'' Yami said

''then it's a good thing I was going to say yes'' Asta said

''also, you should know that we will put you though the ringer, so you better be ready'' Yami said

''then bring it'' Asta said

After everything came to an end Asta met up with Yuno and the former said ''hey Yuno your Golden Dawn and I am Black Bull so from now on the real fight starts now''

Yuno smiles a little and said ''and I wouldn't have it any other way''

Asta's stomach started rumbled then Asta said ''sorry Yuno but I have to go'' then he took off for the toilets

Once Asta was done he met with his group then Finral opens up a portal to the Black Bulls hideout and everyone walks thought it
