3. Chapter 3

Asta opens the doors to the Black Bulls and before he1 could say anything he was met with a fire ball at his feet which exploded sending him flying and Yami turns and says with a smile ''this is us the magic knight squad that is known for being the worst of the worst''

Inside the building there was a lot going on as there was some guy looking in a mirror and had a nosebleed there was someone swinging a bat made of fire that seemed to make its own balls that was also made of fire and was firing then at someone that was laughing a little person was eating and a woman that was only in her underwear moaning that she had a headache and a giant person just standing in the middle of the room

After a few minutes of watching Escanor said ''now that person with the fire bat and the lighting kid reminds me of Sir Ban and Sir Meliodas'' then he thought (now I wander how their descendants are doing in this era that is if their blood lines survived that is)

''will you morons stop breaking stuff around here already'' Yami yelled as he smashed a wall causing everyone to freeze then rushes over to him and have some request

As the wall that Yami smacked crumble Asta thinks ''well this squad does not have a really good handyman I will get to it in the morning when there is plenty of light''

When Asta look back at the squad he sees all of them sitting down and Yami was saying this is our other new member'' then he looks at Asta and said ''well what are you waiting for introduce yourself''

''right my name is Asta, and I am from the Village of Hage'' Asta said

Then Vinral said ''well Asta you already know the captain me and Gordon'' then he introduces squad then said ''all in all we maybe a squad of misfits but we are good people''

One in her underwear who was called Vanessa walked up to Asta and said ''Hage village isn't that on the outskirts of the kingdom'' before Asta could say anything Vanessa noticed something and said ''hey mind if I look at your grimoire''

Not sure why she wanted to look at a grimoire Asta said ''sure'' then he handed his anti-magic one over

Vanessa quickly examined it then said ''okay what about your other one'' shocking everyone

The one known as Charmy said ''what are you talking about Vanessa there isn't anyone alive that can hold multiple grimoires''

Once again everyone was shocked when Asta said ''here you go though you might want to be a bit careful this one can be a bit temperamental well during the day anyway, but it's doesn't have any power at night''

Before Vanessa could say anything Yami said ''so that's what you meant what you said that as you don't have magic that right there shows just how powerful you can become''

Asta looks at the captain and said ''yes from what Liebe said that everyone that has magic has a frequency so does grimoires which is why everyone is know to hold one grimoire but take someone that doesn't have magic and a grimoire that has its own conscious the said grimoire accepts him what do you get''

''you get some one that can hold multiple grimoires as the person doesn't have a wavelength'' Vinral said when he realised what it meant then turned to Asta and said ''to who is Liebe''

''he is a demon that is in the five-leaf grimoire and the reason I have Anti-magic'' Asta replied

''wait did you just say a demon'' Magma said

''well to me he is my brother you got a problem with that'' Asta said getting up in Magma's face

''maybe I do and maybe I don't what would you if I did'' Magma said/asked

''how about we go outside then, and I can show you'' Asta said as he took his grimoires back from Vanessa

''them's fighting words'' Magma sad as both him and Asta went outside once outside Magma said '' think you have what is take to be a black bull''

''like I told the captain I don't care what I have to do to achieve my dream as long as I don't bring dishonour to myself my rivel/s and my village I will do it with my head held high and pride in my stride and if you don't like it the fuck you'' Asta said

The spectres look at Yami and who said as he could feel their eye on him ''not in the same words but he did say fuck you to me''

''so, what exactly did he say to you captain'' Charmy asked

The captain took a puff of his cigarette then said ''he said to me and I quote 'I know I need to be better than the Squad captains and I don't have magic but that right there shows how powerful I can become I know the path I choose won't be easy and I know I will stumble along the way but I will never give up and I will never back down and if you say otherwise then I have this to say fuck you unquote''

''wow I am impressed Captain Asta must have impressed you big time'' Vanessa said

''and why do you think that'' Yami asked

''because you actually quoted someone'' Vanessa said

''tell you what I will tell you if he has and you tell us why you were more shocked by him having two grimoires'' Yami said

''alright you have a deal, but you go first captain after this was your deal'' Vanessa said

''you have a point'' Yami said then went on to say ''and to simply say he did impress me as he was talking I could hear his conviction in walking down the road he has chosen to walk and he wouldn't give up no matter the obstacles that are in the way and how many people can you say has that kind conviction but whether or not it's all talk we have yet to see''

''your right captain he conviction captain you have more chance at getting spirit to join you the finding someone that has conviction'' Vanessa said the took a deep breath and said ''well its my turn as you held you end if the deal it started the day I was born when a witch is born in the witch's forest we have a seer to see what is our fate a lot of the time it's not important but for me the seer saw that I will be one of many that will full in love with a man that is said to be impossible as he has no magic but will hold multiple grimoires and will be the descendant of some of the greatest mages that lived before our era and when I turned thirteen I was told about it and like all the witches I didn't believe it after all who has ever heard of someone with now magic able to use magic and have more than one grimoire''

''well, that would explain why you was surprised I would be as well if I was in your shoes but now the question is will you tell him'' Vinral said/asked

''no, I won't cause I know that at some point that I will fall in love with him and him me, but I don't want him to know it in case he feels like he is obligated to do it'' Vanessa said

''well, I think you might as well tell him'' Yami said

''and why do you think that sir'' Vanessa asked

''I know the kid's type they are rare, but they will not do something unless they want to not out of obligation after all when I went down to see what the kid was made of I was unleashing my magical power and I was still unleashing it when he said fuck you he is the type that will met any challenge head on and will not back down so if you tell him what the seer saw then he might try and earn your love if and when he knows what love is'' Yami said the squad turned back to Magma about to use magic attacks on Asta

When Magma stops attacking, he said ''well now your better than I thought''

''thank you for the complement shame I can't say the same thing about you after all you haven't even got me to use a grimoire'' Asta said

When Magma heard this the bat disappeared and he turned the pages on is grimoire then a little fireball ignited in his hand, and he said ''flame magic: exploding fireball now die punk'' then he though the ball at great speed

With even greater speed Asta had his sword out and was about to cut the ball when Liebe say ''Asta don't cut it the spell use the flat of the sword''

Having trust in his older brother Asta did as instruct all his muscles tensed and Asta swung the sword and the spell hit the flat but in like when Asta cut the spell which cancels the spell the side of the sword sends the spell back at the caster

Meanwhile while to the side everyone was shocked at what just happened and Vinral said ''has been a while since we had to rescue the newbie hasn't it captain''

''that it has'' Yami replied then thought (I see instead of cutting the spell which will disperse the magic the newbie used the flat which causes the spell to be sent back to the caster so that's the power of the five-leaf grimoire what about the crimson one) so he turns to Vanessa and said ''hey Venessa what do you know about the crimson grimoire''

''can't tell you much captain I thought it was a legend and I didn't pay much attention to any myths and legends'' Vanessa replied

''fat lot of good you are then'' Yami mumbled then said ''so what do you know of it''

''that it is one of the oldest grimoires and that it was made by a powerful sorcerer lived before any of the four kingdoms was even thought of and its power is said to be a grace'' Vanessa replied

Charmy looks over to Vanessa and asked ''what's a grace''

''a power that belongs to the angels and please don't ask me why one gave up their power cause the myths doesn't say'' Vanessa said

Back in the fight Asta look at the sword and said ''Liebe what was the deal why didn't you let me slice the magic''

''because if you, did you would have been killed by the force of the spell'' Liebe replied

''oh, then thank you for saving me'' Asta said

''no problem after all I have to look after my brother'' Liebe said

''what the hell was you thinking you crazy little runt you are lucky that I dispel the spell just in time so I'm alright but that doesn't change the fact that I was almost off by my own spell'' Magma said

''you call me crazy yet who was that dumbass that used the spell that got reflected but if you still want to go then bring it'' Asta said

Magma runs up to Asta places his hands on Asta and said ''you good you have some backbone, and your physical prowess are off the charts''

''well, it ought to be after all I have been training since I was about six as that was when I was told that I had no mana'' Asta said

''wait you was told that you had no mana when you were six so who told you that I would like to meet them to I can punch their lights out'' Magma said

''it was Liebe that told me after one fight that I got into to get back a necklace that is precious to by foster brother it was intense but that night I met Liebe in a dream and he told me that I had no mana and before I get in a slump he also said because I have no mana that means that I can do what people said is virtually impossible and that was to hold multiple grimoires as long the grimoires chooses me like my anti-magic and my lion one'' Asta said

''what does that mean'' Magma asked

Vanessa stepped forward and said ''what he means is that he gains something like artificial mana works like mana, but it come from an outside source like the grimoires''

''oh, now I get that part but what about the grimoire chooses him'' Magma asked

''there are some grimoires that are said to be so powerful they have gained a conscious and they can choose its wielder'' Vanessa replied then she turned and gave him his robe and while Asta was putting his robe on Vanessa waved her wand and Asta's headband turned and the mark for the black bull was threaded into it

''thanks guys'' Asta said then bowed

Vanessa walks over and says ''now then I will take you to your room as I need to talk to you about something''

Asta looks at Vanessa and said ''uh okay'' as Vanessa took Asta to his new room Asta said ''so what do you want to talk about''

''well to simple put I need to let you know something'' Vanessa said

''okay so what do you want to tell me'' Asta said

''well on the day I was born a seer said that I will be one of many girls that will be full in love with someone that has no magic but will have multiple grimoires'' Vanessa said

''okay and you think that I am the person that the seer saw'' Asta said

''no, I don't think you are the person I know you are the person that the seer saw but I don't want you to go out with me just because you feel like your obligated to'' Vanessa

''you don't have to worry about that Vanessa I would never out of obligation ask anyone out on a date as I have enough pride to do that'' Asta said

Vanessa chuckled a little and said ''I know that after all the book of pride wouldn't have gone for you if you won't a little bit prideful'' then the was at the room then the thread mage said ''well here is your new room sort of also when you have the time you better send a letter to your family to let them know that you are okay after all your mother and father might be worried''

''your right I better sent a letter to prove to Father Orsi'' Asta said

''wait you live in a church so did your birth parents abandon you'' Vanessa asked

''yes, I do but living at the church isn't all bad and I will always love my birth mother even though she abandoned me'' Asta said

''Asta how can you love your mother when she abandoned you'' Vanessa asked

Asta pulls out the five-leaf grimoire and said ''according to Liebe she had one of the few perfect reasons why she did''

''did Liebe tell you the reason'' Vanessa asked

''he did, and it was out of love'' Asta replied

Vanessa gained a confused look and said ''can you explain why''

''she left me at the church because she had no control over her magic'' Asta said

''and what could her magic do'' Vanessa asked

''her magic could drain the mana and lifeforce out of anyone or anything'' Asta said

Vanessa gasp at what Asta just said then said ''then if she had kept you then you might be dead'' then felt a little guilty that the woman just abandoned for no reason then asked ''will you try and find your mother''

Asta looks down and said ''I wish I could''

''what do you mean'' Vanessa asked

''well, let's just say that there is a devil I want to kill'' Asta said

Vanessa understood what Asta says then said ''Asta revenge will not bring your mother back''

''I know that that is why I am not seeking revenge I am just saying that if I run in to Lucifero and should he attack me then I will try and kill him as I am sure my mother would like me to go down the path of vengeance well according to Liebe'' Asta said

''that's real mature of you Asta well good night'' Vanessa said then left to go to her room

Once Vanessa was gone Asta started to clean the room then he made a little nest for Nero after that he sat down and begins to write a letter to tell the his foster family that he was one step closer to his dream'' while he was writing he took a little pause looks out the window and thought (this is our first step but I will not lose to you Yuno though I wander what you are doing right now''

Meanwhile in a nicer part was the golden dawn base and in one of the rooms was Yuno with a male that was about three years older then him and he was ''personal I think the room was wasted on you now then tomorrow I will give you the run down on what your duties will consists of I dot want t be your tutor but I have my orders I have no choice'' and when he sees the look that was on Yuno he said ''boy are you even listening to me''

Ignoring the question Yuno said ''Klaus my name is Yuno''

''watch you tone need I remine you that I out rank you, so you are to address me as sir'' Klaus said

''of cause sir though it was great that the captain didn't pick my rivel as he shows little respect to authority, and he can be a handful'' Yuno said with a feeling that he will me Asta soon

As Klaus was walking out, he said ''well if that's the case then he wouldn't last long in any squad and that was better and don't be late for tomorrow or I will be displeased''

Once Klaus was gone Yuno goes over to the desk and sits down and write a letter to the family that is at Hage village

It is now morning at Hage Village we find Sister Lily hanging the laundry up when a mail owl came and handed her two letters and said ''thank you'' to the owl was gone then she sees who they are from then quickly goes and gets everyone to let them know about the letters

Father Orsi reads the letter that was from Yuno then starts to cry and says ''that our Yuno getting into a squad even though I am not surprized after all he is the pride of Hage'' then he goes over to his broom and says ''oh everyone will be glad''

Recca looks over to Lily who was reading Asta's letter and said ''so what does Asta's letter says, and I am still surprised you can read that chicken scratch Sister Lily''

''yeah, he writes like he is five so when will he becoming home Sister Lily'' Nash asked

''yeah, and when does get back he will need a lot of cheering up after failing the exam even someone like Asta will have trouble bouncing back from that'' Father Orsi said

Sister Lily looks up shocked and said ''actually he passed the exam''

Everyone looks at Sister Lily for a Moment or two before all says ''what''

Then sister says ''it looks like they both passed''

Then the priest was flying out the door with the two youngest while saying ''well then better let everyone know that we have two not one magic knights this is great''

''well so he was right anyone can have dreams no matter who they are'' Nash said

Sister Lily kept reading and then said ''oh my now that is a surprised''

Both Recca and Nash looks at Sister Lily and Recca asked ''what's a surprise''

''well one of Asta squad mates is from the Witches Forest and when she was born a seer saw that she and many others will become Asta's girlfriends''

''so, what does that mean'' Recca asked

''it means that Asta will have a harem Recca'' Nash said getting an oh on response then he said to Sister Lily ''so will you tell father Orsi that Asta will be having a harem''

''not today Nash as I don't think his heart could take it'' Sister Lily replied

''good idea'' Nash said
