6. Chapter 6

As the Black Bull trio was heading back to their base Asta was looking around as he felt like someone was watching them and after a few minutes of looking he shrugged it off and thought to himself (weird I thought someone was watching us) he ignored the feeling

Meanwhile high above them was a tall slim woman that was quite attractive, and she was wearing a highly revealing and open fur collared long coat, with heart shaped buttons, short shorts that resemble panties with a heart on it, and thigh high boots she also has shoulder length black hair and she said ''well looks like the Captains legacy is an interesting one as has the Lion sin grimoire as well as the captains demonic power I wander if he has Elizabeth's angelic power'' then she felt a magical power coming from the border that was between the clover and the diamond then said ''well now I haven't felt this power since Mavis and Makarov'' then she looked to where the Black Balls are going smiled then said ''hmm I wander if he could use that power'' then she teleported away

At the capital, the woman teleported into the office of the wizard king and when she sees a man looking out the window and she said ''greeting Julius Novachrono wielder of time magic''

The man turns to the woman and he was a tall, middle-aged man with short messy blond hair and purple eyes and one of his more notable features is a blue six-pointed star on the left side of his forehead then he said ''greetings ma'am you have me at a lost as you know my name but I don't know who you are and how did you get in here''

''I am sorry you are right my name is Merlin as for your second question I teleported in here'' the now identified woman replied

Julius then asked ''but how I didn't sense any temporal disturbance''

''well then let's just say that I am able to cast a more of an advanced form'' Merlin said

Julius had stars in his eyes and said ''can you show me what else can you do''

''not now Julius I just came here to tell you that there is a dungeon has emerged at the diamond border and there is something in there that is picky on who uses it and I want to see if one Asta of the Black Balls can use it''

''I find that unlikely as we would have noticed it by now plus, we would normally send a more reliable team'' Julius replied

''so, then how about a deal'' Merlin said

''what kind of deal'' Julius asked

''a simple one if the next dungeon you get notified happens to be the one, I just told you about then you send the person I want to go in there'' Merlin said

Julius thinks about it then said ''deal but what's in there that you want this Asta to get and possible use''

''a grimoire that is linked to a spirt that used its magic hence why it picks it's about its users'' Merlin replied

Up on hearing this Julius had stars in his eyes and he asked ''can you tell me more about this grimoire''

''well I am not telling you much but this is what I am going to tell that there are four types of grimoires the first type is the everyday that you all know the second type is one that has a being sealed inside the third type is a grimoire that has a Spector to it and the last one is one that is so powerful that it has gained a conscious'' Merlin said

''that is so cool magical artifacts are so cool don't you think'' Julius said

''I agree but I believe that knowledge is more interesting as it always coming and fading also improving and changing'' Merlin said

Julius laughed a little then said ''you know you kinda remind me of some notes that the first wizard king left about a woman that had hear that was black as ebony and dressed like you are and he also said that she loved gaining knowledge and also had a crimson boar on her neck''

Merlin laughed a little knowing that he was talking about her then said ''yeah I read about her as well and at times I think that I am her reincarnation as I am the same way and with that I must leave as I have otherings to do'' then she teleported out

Julius looks at where Merlin was then said to himself ''I wander who will win the deal''

The next day after the three Bulls had told their captain what had happened, he said to them ''well done you morons so be proud''

Then a portal opened up and Finral and Venessa came though and Finral said ''we are back''

''and we heard about Saussy and would like to say well done'' Venessa said

''got that right it was a tough one, but we did our best'' Asta said

''anyway, we just got back from visiting the magic investigation department Captain Yami'' Finral said

''you did good so did you learn anything new'' Yami asked

''like whom the fuck that asshole was because I swear, I will find his hideout and tear it apart'' Magna said

''year about that the investigators went over the scene and what was left behind and so far, they haven't found anything'' Vanessa said

Up on hearing the news Magna had a fire ball in hand then said ''well more like shouted ''what then what good are they'' then he throws the ball at a wall

''that's enough stop breaking the stuff here'' Yami said as he broke a wall

Magna said while being completely scared ''Sorry Sir''

''and that being said that pocket was pretty nice and not one that anyone can buy'' Finral said

''your right and the way he was making those commoner comments makes me think that he was someone high up in rank'' Vanessa said

''royalty or nobility'' Magna said

Before anyone could say anything Nero finally made her peasants known and Vanessa said ''oh who's this what a cutie pie''

''well according to Liebe my mother looked after her and named her Nero and she is a pest'' Asta said

''that's not nice Asta'' Noelle said just as Nero started to peck Asta and a few times she flows of and Asta tried to catch her as the bird flew over Noelle she said ''come her Nero'' but the bird just flew in another direction and the noble woman slumped over and pouted while she said ''ohh''

Asta who had pulled his sword out said ''that does it I am going to fry you up for dinner you little feathered nuisance''

Noelle was powering up a spell said '' I will not net you lay so much as a finger on her''

As Asta tries to get Nero Noelle was trying to hit Asta for trying the Nero in the end Yami smacked a wall and said ''will you two stop trying to destroy the whole building''

''we're sorry sir'' both Asta and Noelle said at the same time while bowing then the noble thought (although you are the one doing most of the damage)

''well, it doesn't make a difference if the guy is a royal noble or whatever he is we should leave the investigation to the pros'' Yami said then he goes on to say ''now that being said I have some good news''

''what about'' Noelle and Asta asked at the same time

''you really want to know'' Yami asked

''well of cause we do who doesn't want to hear good news'' Asta said

''due to your effects that wizard king himself has acknowledged your actions'' Yami said

''wait you mean the wizard king'' Asta said

''for your work at Saussy village he has rewarded us with a star'' Yami said

''woo hoo we got a star go us'' Magna said

Noelle just flicked her hair while Asta said ''wow we got a star''

''that's nice'' Vanessa said

''congrats you three you earned it'' Finral said

Still hyped on the excitement Asta asks ''so what the star means''

''your, tell us that you don't even know that much'' Magna said

''hey, give me a break I just became a magic knight so of cause I don't know what a star means'' Asta said

''he is right Magna you can expect every recruit we get to know the reward system'' Vanessa said then turned to the magicless boy and said ''what the golden star means is that someone has done some good that even the wizard king acknowledged it''

''so, it doesn't mean much expect a sense of achievement'' Asta said

Vanessa nods then said ''yeah that's right''

''cool'' Asta said

''well looks like you don't care that it doesn't mean much'' Vanessa said then goes over to the boy and whispers with a flirtatious tone ''and that's a shame because I would love to give you a reward''

Asta somehow knowing what the thread witch meant became red as a cherry and said ''that won't be necessary''

''guess you're a little shy'' Vanessas said then goes on to explain how the star system works then said ''and the Golden Dawn has the most as they have seventy stars''

''seventy stars'' Asta said shocked then goes up to Yami and asked ''what about us Captain Yami how many does the black bulls have''

Yami smiles and said ''how many do we have'' then points the star to a board that was full of black stars and it floats over to it then land on a black star and then vanishes then the Captain said ''thanks to that one we are now at an even negative thirty and now we are an even a hundred away from the Dawns ohh there is one more thing to do''

''ohh and what is it'' Asta said

''your wages for the month'' Yami said as he handed each member if the squad a pouch, then he was asked several different requests from the members then he said ''all right you all a=have the day off tomorrow so don't blow all your wages'' then turns and walks out of the hideout and said ''now I have a meeting to attend''

As the captain was walking out all the Noelle bowed and said ''thank you captain''

Noelle still looking at the pouch with a deep panned look and said ''this is barely pocket change''

''are you kidding this could by ten years of pop potatoes'' Asta said

The noble looks at Asta with the same looks and asked ''and what are those''

''it's a hard crop that is grown in Hage village they are a bit on the lumpy side but that have a subtle flavour'' Asta replied

''sounds like a something we wouldn't feed our pets'' Noelle said without bothering to change expressions

''well, you would be surprised on what looks disgusting can turn out to be delicious plus when Sister Lily cooks it always turns out delicious'' Asta said

''and who is this Sister Lily'' Noelle asked trying to hide her hint of jealousy

''a really pretty Sister from Hage'' Asta said

Before ether Asta or Noelle could continue Venessa came up and said ''hey you two what are you going to do with your wages

''haven't thought about it'' Noelle said

''well, I was going to send it back home to Hage village after I keep some for myself'' Asta said with pride

''that's what a real man does looks after his family'' Magna said

''and by the way you will be doing the same'' Asta asked

''hell, yeah after I have a hundred times more after all a real man goes big or go home'' Magna said

''that I believe after all you have to be a stupid man to do it'' Noelle said

''so how about this tomorrow the three of us to shopping in castle town so don't worry I will look after you'' Vanessa said

That night Asta is in his room writing a letter to Hage letting them know some of the how the Black Balls are

The next day in the lobby Asta was getting ready for the day ahead with Noelle when Vanessa walked in and said ''so you two ready to head to Castle town''

''yes, we are Vanessa'' Asta replied

Vanessa smiles then said ''that's good and I am looking forward to getting to know you more Asta'' then she goes of to get her broom then they were on their way

Along the way to Castle point Vanessa asked ''so have you two been to Castle point''

''not really'' Noelle answered

''well, that's not too surprising after all you noble don't really hang out with us common people'' Vanessa said then said to Asta ''and what about you handsome''

''yeah, it was the place where me and Yuno magic knight entrance exam and had a quick look around until the exam started'' Asta replied

''then let's make the most of our visit today'' Vanessa said

Noelle turns to Asta with a light blush and said ''I could do with a little less touching please''

''hey, I can't help it I need to unless you want my to fall'' Asta said

''I guess your right'' Noelle said then thought (what is up with me because I seemed really like it) then Asta put his arms around her she pushed Asta who fell of the broom

As Asta was falling he shouted ''ohh come on not again''

As Noelle was watching Asta full she said ''huh oh'' all the while Vanessa was laughing then Noelle said to her ''what are you laughing at''

Venessa glances back chuckles a bit more then says as she directed the broom to where Asta fell ''ohh nothing just you gaining romantic feelings for Asta''

Noelle was shocked by what Venessa just said then said ''what I do not''

''then why is your face red'' Venessa said, and she didn't get a reply then after they picked up Asta they continued to Castle point

When the trio got to Castle point Asta said ''well its not as busy as it was during the exam but it's just like I remember''

''well, it certainly is a lively town'' Noelle said

As the trio was walking Asta thought back to when he was here and thought to himself (it sure will be nice to bring everyone back home here and I wander how Rebecca's doing)

The trio looks up and Gauche on his broom flying somewhere and they completely miss a shy girl wearing a blue dress and a Black Balls rope ran past them then they heard Charmy shout ''let's do this''

Both Noelle and Asta looked to in the direction they heard Charmy shout and Noelle says ''I know that voice'' then the went to see what the small girl was up to''

Inside a restaurant they see the black-haired girl sitting at the coulter with a serious face and the man behind the counter says ''I see your back this month''

''that's right I am'' Charmy said

''that great but I am going to win this time'' the man said

''that's nice to see hope right before I crush it'' Charmy said

The man bend under the counter and pulls up a plate that had a mounting of food then said ''then behold the extra supersize deluxe with everything on it'' Charmy looks at the plate with a little bit of drool then the man said ''there is no way you can finish this plate''

''then put the plate down and we will see as I am ready'' Charmy said while holding a set of cutlery then after the owner put the plate down the small girl started to eat the dish

Asta looks to around and sees Finral jogging up to someone, so he moves to get a better look at the female and to his shock its Rebecca with three of her siblings while carrying two bags, so he goes over to them just as he hears Finral say ''excuse me miss but are you free and if so how about we go and get a drink''

Rebecca looks at Finral and said ''are you blind does it look like I am free''

''ohh yes you can bring your kids'' Finral said which go him a slap and Asta started laughing causing both Rebecca and Finral to look at him then Finral said ''Asta what are you doing here''

Asta stopped laughing and said ''well I saw you going up to someone so I check who it might be and was shocked to see that it was Rebecca then I decided to come over and say hi''

''wait your telling me that you know this person'' Finral asked shocked

Asta scratches his head and says ''well I wouldn't say I know her, but we met the day I became a Black Ball'' then he turned to Rebecca and said ''so how have you been''

''I have been well and congratulation on passing'' Rebecca said

''thanks anyway you can go'' Asta said

''thanks, Asta and maybe the next time we meet you can tell me some adventure'' Rebecca said as she and her siblings walked away

Finral watches Rebecca walk away then said ''that's a shame I do love a woman that is strong'' then he runs of to another woman

Then Vanessa and Noelle come up behind Asta and the former said ''so this is where you ran of to Asta so what happened''

Asta turns around and said ''nothing much just saying hi to someone now some on we have more to see and this to buy''
