Chapter 18: Euphoria
Sasuke woke up with a new sense of happiness that he had never felt before. His and Naruto's bond seemed to be practically buzzing with joy as he rolled over and laid his head on the blonde's bare chest. They were both only in their boxers from the night before, not bothering with actual pajamas since it was just the two of them. Just as he was about to fall back asleep his eyes snapped open in surprise. He realized he hadn't dreamed that night.
It was the last day before Naruto would go back on tour after spending a blissful week together. Sasuke's realization that he loved the other man hadn't been during anything that would usually be considered romantic. They were eating dinner and had been talking about what they wanted to do the last day. All Sasuke had been able to do was smile and agree as he watched the blond animatedly make suggestions. That was when he realized just how much he was willing to do for the other man. How much he was ready to give up.
Love was about making sacrifices and supporting each other. Taking a week off of work just made him think even more about how much happier he was when he wasn't around his father and brother. How much happier he was when he was with Naruto instead. The blond had a career and fans that he loved. He'd never ask the other man to give that up just so they could see each other more. Yet, he wanted to see him more. To be with him whenever he left. Sasuke had made his choice and his father wasn't going to be happy.
He felt a little like a creep just watching Naruto sleep, but he couldn't wake him up when he seemed so peaceful. He brushed a strand of hair out of the other man's face, causing him to wake up a little. "What are you doing up so early?" the blond asked, still groggy. Sasuke didn't answer, he just smiled a little as he waited for the blond to realize what had happened, or more so what hadn't happened. Naruto's eyes widened as he looked down at the man laying his head on his chest, "You." He didn't finish the sentence, too stunned.
"I?" Sasuke teased, smirking a little. He loved the other man, but that wasn't going to stop him from teasing him a little.
"You love me. I know I'm not crazy, I've never forgotten a dream," Naruto grabbed Sasuke, pulling him to make it so they were eye level, chests pressed against each other.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," knowing the smirk on his face was a clear sign that he was lying.
"You're a horrible liar," Naruto grinned as he wrapped his arms around the other man, pulling him so he was laying on top of him.
Sasuke kissed him softly, "Maybe that's because I love you."
"I love you, too," The blond pulled him back into a kiss. It was sweet, not meant to lead to anything. "I realized it earlier this week, but I think I loved you for longer than that," he admitted. "I was just waiting for you to be on the same page, I didn't want to pressure you to feel the same way."
There was a moment of peaceful silence as they just basked in the feeling. "I'm going to leave the company," Sasuke broke the silence, surprising the blond. "I'm not happy there and even if my father cuts me off I can figure something out," he told him softly. "I want to be with you."
"I won't re-sign if he cuts you off," he said with such conviction that Sasuke had no doubt. "I've already had companies contact me, trying to persuade me to go to them when my contract is up," he admitted. Sasuke hadn't realized that other companies had approached the other man. "I hadn't even considered not re-signing, but if he does that to you then I won't hesitate to leave," he held him tightly.
"Really?" Sasuke asked, his voice just above a whisper. He was hoping that Naruto would say that, but he didn't want to ask him to do it.
Naruto nodded, "I joined this company because I was told it was a good one. Anyone who disowns their son because of something like not wanting to be part of a company is a horrible person and I wouldn't want to work for them."
Sasuke lightly kissed him, "I really do love you."
"I love you, too," Naruto grinned. "When are you going to tell him you're leaving?" he asked as he ran his hand up and down Sasuke's back.
"After you leave," Sasuke sighed. "I don't want him somehow ruining our last day together," he explained, knowing his father would find some way to fuck it up if he told him now. "Let's just enjoy today and I'll deal with all of the drama tomorrow."
"I can't wait to have you on tour with me," Naruto told him excitedly. "But are you sure you won't get bored? I'm going to be doing sound check and performing. It won't be like right now when I can spend all of my free time with you."
Sasuke nodded, "I'm sure I can find something to do and I don't think I'll get tired of watching you perform." He moved so that he was straddling the blond, "I think the question is, will you get tired of having me there?"
"Yes, I'll hate getting to wake up next to you every day and being able to fuck you on a regular basis. I really don't know how I'll survive making you cuddle with me on my free nights or going out on dates whenever we can," Naruto responded sarcastically as he squeezed Sasuke's ass. "It'll just be the worst."
Sasuke lightly hit him on the chest, "No need to be an ass." He kissed him again, pinning his hands to the bed. He moved his hips against Naruto's only the thin layer of their boxers between them.
"Fuck, babe I had things planned for today," Naruto groaned as he moved his hips for more friction.
"Did that not involve me riding you this morning?" Sasuke responded seductively, making Naruto curse. "I can stop if you want me to," he told him as he kissed down his neck, leaving marks in places he knew Naruto wouldn't be able to cover unless he wanted to wear a turtleneck, which the blond hated. He'd learned that Naruto's neck was fairly sensitive and he didn't like constricting clothing, but throughly enjoyed when Sasuke would kiss and suck on the most sensitive parts.
"Don't stop," Naruto said, already breathless as he hardened under Sasuke. The feeling of his clothed erection against Sasuke's perfect ass made him moan.
"Be good and keep your hands there," Sasuke demanded as he let go of his wrists. "No touching." Naruto whined but followed his directions, worried that Sasuke would stop if he disobeyed. It was sexy when Sasuke took control, but also pure torture. He shivered a little when Sasuke finally got to his boxers, taking them off and tossing them to the side.
Neither of them lasted long. Sasuke came first, not needing much to send him over the edge after all of the teasing Naruto had done. Naruto wasn't far behind him, continuing to pound into him as they both rode out their orgasms. They collapsed onto the bed, not caring that they were laying in Sasuke's cum. The dark haired man could feel Naruto's cum dripping out of him, knowing that they needed to shower and change the sheets, but neither quite ready to do so.
All morning plans were thrown out of the window. By the time they showered and cleaned it was already noon, due in large part to them getting side tracked in the shower. They had tried sex in the shower earlier that week, but Sasuke stopped him when he determined that water was not a good enough substitute for lube and they decided to stick with hand jobs instead.
"We can at least do what I planned for the afternoon," Naruto suggested. "Starting with lunch, I'm starving," his stomach growled on queue as if it were planned, making Sasuke chuckle. "As long as you're up for it. If not, I can make something," he offered as he wrapped his arms around Sasuke. They were sitting in bed, Naruto leaning against the headboard with Sasuke between his legs, back pressed against his chest.
"We can go to lunch and I know you had some shopping you wanted to do, right?" he asked, content with just laying in bed all day. "We can do that," he agreed.
Sasuke knew that going out together would attract attention, it always did. No one really came up to them, but they would stare and some would take pictures or video. There were always paparazzi and so it was no surprise for to them when they got to the restaurant and people were watching them. They had both dressed casually, not wanting to attract much attention, but Naruto's laugh alone made people look in their direction. Sasuke just shook his head, amused at how the blond laughed at his own joke while talking to the waitress.
"Those are going to be some very flattering photos of you scarfing down your food," Sasuke told him. While Sasuke was slowly eating, Naruto was acting like a starved man having his first meal in days. It wasn't necessarily surprising, he just knew someone would post something about it on social media. "Going to ruin your sexy image," he teased.
"All I need to do is flash my abs or wear some tight pants and then bam, sexy image back," he said with complete seriousness. "They'll do that whole duality thing and thirst over me, that's how it goes," he shrugged.
Sasuke knew how it went. There were plenty of TikToks, YouTube videos and photos posted on the internet thirsting over his boyfriend. He understood because his boyfriend was sexy, but it was still annoying. He'd never looked if there are any about himself, but according to Naruto there are and he even had some downloaded and saved to his phone for 'educational purposes' while he was on tour. There weren't quite as many because he wasn't performing all of the time like Naruto, so it was just of photos of his 'sexy stare' and the few times he'd been dragged to the beach and some people managed to get a shirtless picture of him. His date night outfits also seemed to be quite popular since they generally consisted of tight pants and shirts that he picked to make sure Naruto's eyes were only on him. Whether it be his face, his ass or his chest, he didn't care, as long as the blonde's eyes were on him.
Sasuke rolled his eyes at the sound of the clicking of cameras, but Naruto just smiled, "They can't help it, we're sexy couple." His words didn't stop Sasuke from flipping off one of the cameras pointed at him. Fans he didn't really mind, but paparazzi looking to make money off of them just being out to lunch annoyed him. They always tried to twist some kind of narrative when all they were doing was going out like normal people.
The two did some shopping after lunch. The main thing Naruto needed was a new watch, having lost his while on tour. Sure he could just use his phone to see the time, but there was something about wearing an actual watch he enjoyed. The two went into a rather high end jewelry store, which also sold watches. Sasuke eventually got bored while Naruto was looking at the line of watches and started looking around the store. He was interrupted by a sales lady, "So, are you looking for something special while your boyfriend is distracted?"
He knew exactly what she was insinuating. The wedding rings weren't far from where he was standing and apparently him trying to pass the time was some kind of signal he was going to propose to the blond. "We've only been together for a few months, so no, I'm not looking for a ring," he told her.
"But you're soulmates, those relationships always move faster," she told him, making him roll his eyes. "You don't even want to see what we have?" She asked, pulling out what he figured was the most expensive line of rings they had.
"I'm good, thanks," he tried to get rid of her, but she just wouldn't seem to drop the subject. When he looked out the window and saw paparazzi taking photos of her trying to show him rings he knew exactly what she was doing. "How much they paying you?" he asked, surprising her. "Don't look so surprised, I'm not stupid. By tonight there will be some rumor I'm going to propose to Naruto and the photos you set up are the ones that'll be used."
She blushed, embarrassed from being caught, "I'm sorry."
"You're lucky Naruto would kill me if I tried to sue you," he told her, leaving her stunned. It was true, if Sasuke thought about suing her for any reason, Naruto would rip him a new one, saying she was young and probably needed the money. He always seemed to give people the benefit of the doubt unless they gave him a reason not to.
Naruto was still deciding between two watches when Sasuke walked over to him. "Which do you like better?" he asked, holding up two watches that Sasuke thought looked almost identical. While he wore watches, he never really took much time to consider which one he bought. He'd find one with a silver band and a black face and call it a day. Naruto seemed to need to look at every color they had and of course was choosing between two orange watches, one with a silver band and one with black.
"The black band looks like Halloween," he told him.
Naruto's eyes lit up, "I love Halloween."
"Then get the Halloween watch," he sighed. He should have known that would be Naruto's response, even though he had thought it was a good argument against getting the watch. "We're going to be all over social media with rumors we're getting engaged and I'd rather be home by the time those start spreading."
"Engaged?" Naruto asked, confused how looking at watches escalated to engagement.
Sasuke nodded, "I was looking around and the sales lady was trying to show me wedding rings. It was a set up for the paparazzi to get a good photo op."
Naruto nodded with a sigh, "Halloween watch it is." Sasuke shook his head as the blond told the salesman which one he wanted and paid for the expensive watch. "Let's get out of here my dear husband," he joked as he grabbed his hand to leave.
"Fiancé," he corrected with a chuckle, refusing to admit that he did like the sound of it, just not yet. He would never be part of one of those couples that moved too fast, regardless of if they are soulmates. That was one thing the dreams had taught him. Though if he were honest, he knew that giving up his job to follow Naruto on tour was considered moving pretty fast, but for once he chose to follow his heart.
By the end of the night he had multiple people texting him to ask him if he were going to propose to Naruto. A few people he messed with for a little bit until he told them that he wasn't going to propose, others he told outright that he wasn't. He didn't feel like going back and forth with his father so as much as he wanted to piss him off, he chose to tell him the truth to make him go away. Suigetsu on the other hand, he messed with for a good half hour before telling him that they were just there for a watch.
Naruto laughed when Sasuke posted on Twitter saying, 'Well if I was going to propose you all ruined it so I guess I can't now.' He told him that made it sound like he was going to propose, but Sasuke just shrugged it off and ignored social media the rest of the night.
The blond felt the need to respond, posting, 'How dare you guys ruin it! Now he'll never ask me.' He added the crying emoji, wanting people to know he was just joking. Some people were seriously angry at the media, thinking that Sasuke was going to ask and changed his mind because of it, while others laughed it off and said it was just the media trying to stir up drama.
"I should just call you my fiancé in random interviews and boyfriend in others just to see what happens," Naruto commented, laughing at his own idea. They were laying in bed watching a movie, cuddled up under some blankets with their legs intertwined.
"You're an idiot," Sasuke shook his head.
"An idiot you love," Naruto grinned as kissed the other man's temple.
"Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out why," Sasuke joked, making Naruto pinch his side. "I'm kidding," he rested his head on Naruto's chest, it seemed to be his new favorite pillow. "I love you."
"I love you, too," Naruto couldn't get enough of hearing or saying it. While he was worried about what would happen with Sasuke's father, he was also excited about what was yet to come. He wouldn't let anything get in the way of their relationship, even if it meant finding a new company.
