Naruto and Botan got the training ground that was assigned to the team for their true genin exam they were early so be turned to Botan and asked ''say Botan how do I create one of those sentient swords that my Kaa-chan mentioned''

Botan looks at her charge for a moment before realising what he meant then she said ''oh you mean a zanpakuto from the Hollow squad''

Naruto nodded before saying ''yes, a zanpakuto how do I make one''

''well, I know one way on how you can get one, but I don't think that's what you want it in that way'' Botan replied

''so, what is this way'' Naruto asked

''well, you need to get a Shinigami that is from the squad that I mentioned yo stab you thought your heart with their zanpakuto and transfer their power into you'' Botan replied

''I see how isn't this technique for me'' Naruto asked

''while it is true that you will gain a zanpakuto, but you can only use it if you ever go and use your spirit body'' Botan answered

Naruto deflates a little upon hearing what Botan said then said ''your right I don't want it if I can't use it in the physical world''

Then the bushes that wasn't far from them began to rattle and Rika popped out and she said ''hey guys what's up''

''Rika what are you doing here'' Naruto asked

''well as I am your spirit beast, I have to be with you and fight with you'' Rika replied

''well, you do have a point there'' Naruto said starches the back of his neck then he goes on to say ''any way we were talking about how to crate a zanpakuto that I can use while I am in my body''

Rika gains a thoughtful look then after a few moments then she said ''well there might be a way, but I can't guarantee it will work''

''well, I am willing it'' Naruto said

''well then you need a sword that is strong enough to handle your power as you channel your spiritual power into it'' Rika explained

''so, I might be able to create one if I have a strong sword one that can handle my spiritual power shouldn't be too hard'' Naruto said

Rika shakes her head then said ''it's a lot harder than you think Naruto as the only known alloy to the world is chakra metal and that's no good as it conducts chakra, and it could break the sword''

Naruto sulks a bit then says ''ohh come on''

Both Botan and Rika both laughed at Naruto before then vixen said ''and with that I have good news and bad news''

Naruto looks at his spirit beast and asked ''really'' and hen Rika nodded the teen asked ''so what's the good news''

''well, that good news is that I know where we can go get a sword or at least the material to craft it'' Rika said

Naruto got excited then asked ''you do that's great so where can I get it''

The vixen then gains a regrettable look then she said ''well that would be the bad news as the material belongs to the demon slayer corp''

Naruto then deflate a bit then said ''you have got to be kidding the only place that I can get what I want, and it happens to be the place that would kill me the first chance they get''

Rika was chucking before saying ''well maybe there will be a demon slayer that will be dumb enough to try and kill you''

Naruto laughed a bit and was about to say something when he heard a voice that he knew and hated say ''what's so funny dope''

''well, he should tell us what he knows as well as give Sasuke all his jutsus he knows'' Sakura said as she was hoping this might score a few points in Sasuke liking her

''well, I am not giving him anything except maybe the finger so he can run and cry to those brown-nosers for all I care then I can tell them something that they won't believe'' Naruto said which got a chuckle from Botan and Kurama as they both knows that the kekkei genkais are from humans having kids with demon after the shinobi era started

''and what would that be'' Sasuke asked

''oh, nothing except the secret origins to most if not all the kekkei genkais'' Naruto replied which caused Sasuke and Sakura to gain a confused look

''and what secret would that be'' the pink kunoichi asked

''now that would be telling'' Naruto said then he heads to another location and waits for the main sensei to show up as Anko had just showed up

After waiting for two hours Kakashi finally showed up and he said after seeing everyone was there ''alrighty team seeing as you are all here you are ready to get this test on the way so did you do as I suggested''

''yes sensei'' Sakura and Sasuke replied

Sai shook his head while Naruto said ''nope I was so I had breakfast''

''even though I suggested not to have breakfast'' Kakashi asked as he reached into his pouch and brings out three bells

''well like you said it was a suggestion and like with some advice I get I chose to ignore it then there is the fact that my most of new roommates would have tied me up and sat down at the table and then force feed me'' Naruto replied

Anko smiled at what Naruto said as she knew it weas true as her and her friends would have don't it, so she said ''you got that right Naru-kun''

Kakashi turns to Anko and asks ''wait you mean to tell me that you moved in with the boy''

Anko smiled and said ''well yeah after all isn't that what an engaged couple meant to do before they get married''

''good point'' Kakashi said before he realised what Anko said then said ''wait your engaged to Naruto''

''yep'' Anko said without hesitation and with pride in her voice before saying ''and not just me but Kurenai Hana Yugao and Ayame''

''so how long have you been engaged to him and why him'' Kakashi asked

''well, we knew that he would be like Kushina kind and gentle but would also be a fighter and it has been fifteen years since me and the others minus Ayame made the contract'' Anko replied then goes on to say ''shouldn't we get this test started''

''right'' Kakashi said then as he turns to face his team thought ''well now that makes sense seeing as Anko Hana Yugao and Kurenai never accepted a date from anyone now then I just need to tell Asuma and Hayate'' then he says ''okay team here is the exam will go you have three hours get the bells from me and the one that didn't put in the effort to get the bells will be tied to one of the posts''

''well, I know that will be me no matter what I do'' Naruto thought

''but sensei there are three bells and four of us'' Sakura said

Kakashi gave a eye smile and said ''very observant Sakura and there is a reason for that because at least one of you will be failing this a be sent back to the academy'' then he goes over to a stump and places a clock in it then he turned to face the team once more then said ''the exam starts now oh and one more thing come at me with the intent to kill'' then the thought ''and I will do that when I the demon brat come at me'' then says ''now go'' which causes three of the student to go and hide upon looking at where they were he was shocked to see Naruto still there so he asked ''why are you still here the exam has started''

''yeah, I know and the reason I haven't gone in to hiding is for a few reasons one I already know the true purpose of the exam'' Naruto replied shocking Kakashi as nobody has ever figured it out before then the teen continued ''two I know how Sasuke and Sakura are and there is no way that they will ever work with anyone let alone me''

''and what makes you say that'' Kakashi asked

''well lest start with Sakura the only person that the pink haired howler monkey would ever consider work with would be her precious Sasuke-kun and he an inferiority complex with anyone that is better them him and then he thinks that he is entitled to everything that said person has just because he is from a clan of thieves'' Naruto said

''now that is no way to speak about someone's kekkei genkai'' Kakashi said

''well, it's true after all someone without using their kekkei genkai if they have one could have spent months working on a new jutsu then an Uchiha comes along and copies it after all isn't that what you are Kakashi of the Sharingan the ninja who has copied over a thousand jutsu you are nothing more than a thief that doesn't believe in hard work'' Naruto replied

''I might as well after all I have no I idea how I fair up agents someone that has experience and thanks to my side job some if not all the demon I will be facing will have a lot more experience then this guy in front of me'' Naruto thought then he goes on to say ''alright lets spar but don't go easy on me as I wasn't to see how I am with someone that has experience like you sensei''

''well now that's good because I didn't intent to hold back but now, I can hurt the boy and not get reprimanded about it'' Kakashi thought then he asks ''mind if I ask why''

Naruto thought for a few seconds be saying with a shrug ''I don't see why not so I will tell you due to the Uzumaki clan's partnership with Botan's I might have to fight beings that will have far more experience than you'' then he got into the stance of the Uzumaki's

''what does that mean'' Kakashi thought in wander as he got into a stance

Anko who was watching smiled at what Naruto was saying and saw reason at wanting to spar with someone like Kakashi and thought ''hopefully Kakashi doesn't use anything too bad to Naru-kun'' then as she watch the two get into a stance she quickly got in between them ten she raised her arm then said ''alright you two I want a clean fight then then hajime'' then she brought her arm down then gets out the way then she looks towards Botan and sees the blue haired girl on some kind of device and she said ''bey Botan what are you doing''

Botan looks up to Anko and replies ''hey Anko just speaking to Koenma to see if there is anything that I can do to help Naruto get a zanpakuto'' then she turns back to the device and said ''well sir''

Koenma was thinking if there was a solution but couldn't find one, so he said ''unfortunately there is only one way to create a zanpakuto in a material world and that is with the Nichirin sword and as you and I both know the Nichirin sword and how so make them belong to the demon slayer corp''

''oh, I see well thanks anyway sir'' Botan said

Just as Koenma was about to hang up he remembered something then he quickly said ''`wait Botan there might be a place where there might be a Nichirin sword''

''seriously sir'' Botan asked

''now Botan you must understand this there is no guarantee but there might be one in the Uzumaki vault after all that clan was known for is swordsmanship'' the prince to the afterlife said

''so, judging by what was being said this Nichirin sword is the sword that Rika was talking about earlier'' Anko asked

''yes, it is there is only one group of people that knows how to make it'' Botan said

''this demon slayer corp that Rika mentioned earlier'' Anko said

''right and I can say they can be a pain in the ass when they want to be'' Rika said as she appeared with three bells in her mouth

''I take you have had a ran in with them a few times'' Anko asked, and the nine-tailed fox nodded then kunoichi asked ''are those Kakashi's bells you have

''why yes, yes I do'' Rika answered then asked ''so what was you and Botan talking about''

Botan turned to Rika and said ''well Rika I spoke with Koenma to see if there was another way on making a zanpakuto in the material world, but he said no we need a Nichirin sword''

''so, what else did he say'' Rika asked

''well, he also said that me might know the location of one but can't guarantee it's there'' Botan said

''well, it's better than nothing I guess so where is the location'' Rika asked

''the island of Uzu'' Botan replied causing the vixen to collapse anime style

When Rika got up got up, she said ''you have got to be kidding me why didn't I think that one could be there''

Anko was laughing seeing the most feared tailed beast act like this and once she had calmed down said ''well at least that going to make Naruto happy now that we have a lead on where he can find this Nichi-something sword''

''I guess your right Anko'' Botan said then tuned to Rika and asked ''so where did you get the bells''

''yeah, I want to know as well'' Anko said

''well, if you want to know the spar was a distraction to, I can sneak up to the cyclops and get the bells'' Rika explained

''wait I thought Naruto wanted to fight Kakashi to see how he fairs with someone with experience'' Anko said

''well, that is true but as the fight was progressed Naruto had an idea on how to the bells'' Rika explained

Flashback

When Anko was out the way both Naruto and Kakashi charges at each other as the dup was trading blows, Naruto saw and opening and grabbed his sensei's wrist and flipped him and Kakashi was shocked by the strength of Naruto didn't react in time, so he landed on his back

As Kakashi was getting up he thought ''who did that happen as that was pure strength and that shouldn't be possible as that was near Tsunade's strength seal did, he learn it somehow'' then he charges towards Naruto again

As both Naruto and Kakashi engaged in their spar Naruto had an idea and thought ''Rika can you hear me''

''of cause I can Naruto what can I do for you'' Rika replied in his mind

''do you know any earth techniques that allows you to move under the ground'' Naruto replied

After a few moments Rika said ''I know a few why''

''well, if you use one of those jutsus to position yourself near me and I can get him on the ground near you do you think you can get the bells'' Naruto asked

''shouldn't be too difficult but I will need a few minutes so I can get to you'' Rika said

''okay just let me know when you are in position'' Naruto replied

After a few minutes had gone by Naruto heard Rika say ''Naruto I am in position''

''okay that good'' Naruto said as he flared his spirit energy to locate his spirit beast then he let Kakashi get in close so he could flip him again but this time he landed on his belly

As Kakashi got up he wasn't aware of the little hole that was next to him nor the fact that the three bells was gone and he thought ''man he is good thought now it will be tougher to get rid of the little demon and as much as I want to continue this I need to see how the others are'' then he said ''that was a spar Naruto and as mush I want to see what else you can do I need ton see how the other are''

''fair enough and thank you for your help I can see that I need more training if I want to live up to the legacy of my clan'' Naruto said as he acted all polite then he disappeared into the tree line

''yeah, like I will ever let that happen you little demon'' Kakashi thought as he headed to the neared chakra signature

End flashback

When Rika was finished telling Botan and Anko how she acquired the bells Anko was laughing then said once she had calmed down ''oh man I can wait to see how he will react when he finds out that Naruto was one step ahead of him''

Time skip

The exam is over, and Naruto was right as he was tied up to the post, but he was going to have the last laugh then Kakashi said ''well I have to say that you fail as none of you got a bell'' which get a laugh from Naruto and the sensei said ''what's so funny''

''oh, nothing I am surprised that you have noticed yet'' Naruto replied

''and what is it that I haven't noticed yet'' Kakashi said

Instead of answering Kakashi Naruto said ''Rika come here'' and as Rika went over to Naruto everyone except Botan and Anko was shocked by the red fox with nine tails

Kakashi eyed the vixen he was shocked to see that she had three bells in her mouth causing him t check where he strapped the bells only to find out that they were missing he faces Naruto and asked ''how did you''

''well you now the second flip I did on you well a few minutes before I had a chat with Rika to see of she knew any earth techniques that allows you to move under the ground then once she was in position all I had to do was locate her and then flip you'' Naruto replied then turned to Rika and said ''now Rika I want you to give the bells to Sasuke Sakura and Sai'' Rika nodded and did as asked shocking the three said people and their sensei

''you do know that by doing this you will fail the test right'' Kakashi said

''no, I won't'' Naruto said

''how would you know that you know you won't fail Naruto' Anko asked

''simple the true of the test was teamwork and Kakashi-sensei did that to pit us against each other and to see if we can figure it also there is more than one way to show teamwork'' Naruto replied

Anko nodded then turned to Kakashi and said ''well he does have a point there Kakashi after all giving up something for your teammates is a sign if team works''

Kakashi sighed and said ''okay the team passes we will meet here tomorrow because as of now we are team seven'' then he Shunshined away then the rest of the team left the training ground

As Naruto Botan Anko and Rika who was on Naruto shoulder was leaving the training ground Botan said ''oh Naruto while you were doing your test, I spoke with Koenma to see if there was another way to get you a zanpakuto, but he said that the only way is with the Nichirin swords''

''I see well thinks Botan for that'' Naruto said

''but he also said this that there might be on in the Uzumaki fault in the land of Uzu your ancestral home which is if the coast of waves'' Botan said

''well now that is better than nothing, I guess I will do that when I am ever in the land of waves'' Naruto said
