The WHOOP jet arrived in the outskirts of Regina Canada as it began to fly down low and released the spies on their all terrain snowmobile as they began to make their way into the city, or more specifically to the local hospital to personally interview one of the mounties who had been attacked.
"Ahh this cold will totally mess up my hair."complained Clover as she was never one to be fond of cold climates.
"I think it's nice as we have been to a bunch of cold places before Clover so I don't know why you're complaining."said Alex, as this wasn't the first time they've had to do a mission in a cold climate.
"Yeah but I just went to the salon and now my hair is totally going to be affected by this cold weather."argued Clover, as her precious hair wasn't meant to withstand cold climates on a regular basis.
"Girls focus! We need to get to the hospital to interview the Mountie Thomas McFarland, he was the only one who got a good look at our suspect before he was frozen."said Sam as the other Mountie was currently in a medically induced coma since his injuries were a little more severe.
"I still wonder what he meant by a walking corpse? I mean don't get me wrong, I don't believe in the supernatural but you think we're dealing with a zombie?"asked Alex with a hint of fear and her voice, as she was not fond of anything horror-based.
"There's no such thing as zombies Alex, and besides I don't think a zombie is smart enough to use a freeze ray."Clover argued, as there was no way zombies are real and one wouldn't have gotten the drop on to Mountie police
"Whatever the case, we need to hear the story from the only awake witnessed personally if we want to get to the bottom of this case."said Sam as none of the spies noticed that just a few meters away from them was Batman following them with his bat snowmobile.
"McFarland is a good lead, but I think the better idea is to find out what Project Lungfish is. Freeze is a man who never wastes his time so whatever this Project Lungfish is, he must consider it important enough for his research to go to such trouble in order to aquire."Batman said to himself as he knew the ice based villain well enough now to know that he never wastes his time unless it involves his research.
"Fortunately I have a few methods myself."said Batman as he decided to go to the local National Archives and Records Administration as unknown to most of the public is that is exactly where military records are kept.
Including the unredacted files that are usually kept under lock and key with some kind of security system! But no Canadian military security system has ever gone total with the Batman!
[Regina General Hospital]
The spies meanwhile arrived at Regina General hospital to interview rookie mounted Police Thomas McFarland about his incident with "the walking corpse."
"I don't know what I can tell you girls more than I told the investigators. Me and my partner were investigating a break in at that warehouse when this walking corpse shoots a beam of ice at us, everything else gets kind of blurry."said McFarland as the spies were currently in his hospital room.
"Ah it's so hot in here?"complain Clover as she was using her hand to fan herself.
"There keeping my room particularly warm so my body temperature can be regulated. I got lucky as my partner we'll have to go into surgery to have a dead toe removed."send McFarlane as his partner was the one who was struck with the freeze way first, and ended up getting the worst of it.
"Can you describe this walking corpse? Don't leave out a single detail no matter how unimportant you think it is."said Sam as McFarland started think carefully about anything he could remember.
"I know it was a male from his physique and voice... he was bald with what look like black goggles with red visors. His skin wasn't green or rotten like you would expect from a zombie and it wasn't black from frostbite... it was blue. He also appeared to be wearing some kind of... blue space suit but with some kind of fish bowl helmet around his head...ah I only managed to get a good look for a second before he pulled out some strange looking gun and fired..."said McFarland who did not want to recall the rest as being frozen alive was not something he fondly remembered.
"Did you happen to see what direction he ran off to?"asked Alex which McFarland shook his head.
"I could hardly see anything in that block of ice, all I know is he was carrying some stuff and the dude must be crazy strong as he was carrying a lot of stuff out of the warehouse but he didn't even seem to be struggling."said McFarland is the spies huddled well he went back to eating his hospital food.
"What do you think spies?"asked Sam as she wanted to see if her friends came up with any conclusions.
"Well the police and the military are all over that warehouse so if he wants to do that Project Lungfish, whatever it is he will need a big facility to work."said Alex, as she suspected whoever fooze those mounties were using that old Warehouse as a base of operations.
Now that that old Warehouse is no longer useful, whoever is behind this would have to find somewhere else to hide out."
"I agree with Alex on thus one. It would have to be a place that's abandoned or vacant because I don't think any real estate agent will do business with a blue skinned guy in a space suit."suggested Clover, as the others agreed with her.
"But every city always has a whole lot of abandoned buildings. We need to find out what this Project Lungfish is in order to find out what criteria our suspect needs. As only a building that has everything he needs will be the one where he is currently hiding."said Sam as the spies began to wonder how exactly they were going to get records on Project Lungfish.
Just then they got a call on their compounders and saw it was a call from Jerry.

Batman was currently looking through files deep in the administration building as two Canadian military personnel were lying next to him out cold with both of them handcuffed with their hands behind their back.
Batman meanwhile was using the night vision on his cowl to look through the files without having the turn on the lights as that would bring too much attention. Finally after scrolling through the files he found a file that said Project Lungfish in big bold letters.
"Finally."said Batman is he placed the file on the desk and began to read it.
"Project Lungfish was a project the Canadian and US military collaborated on during the early 1970s. This project was commenced during some of the more tense times during the Cold war where the defense apartment of both countries wanted to see if it was possible to hibernate military personnel in case of nuclear fallout and see if they could come out of it just fine like the fish the project was named after. They wanted to see what affects long-term hibernation would have on the volunteers, as well as what would happen if they were exposed to anything from common viruses like the flu to more serious diseases like Ebola or genetic disorders and how to cure the volunteers during hibernation so they wouldn't be affected."Batman read out loud before he came to the realization as to why Mr Freeze wanted Project Lungfish.
'Freeze wants to use Project Lungfish to see if it can finally cure his wife Nora. But how exactly does he plan to do that as McGregor syndrome doesn't exist in this world and he doesn't have Nora...!' thought Batman before he came to a terrifying conclusion!
Freeze always carried a strain of McGregor syndrome with him for study! Meaning that if he wanted to see if Project Lungfish would work in curing it... he would need test subjects!
Batman quickly realized that it Freeze wanted to see if Project Lungfish could cure McGregor syndrome he would need to test it on a bunch of people, and those people would not be complying willingly!
"Batwing look up information on all Caucasian females in their early twenties who have been kidnapped over the last several weeks here in Regina."said Batman is he ran out of the warehouse as he was staring at his touch screen computer in his right gauntlet.
Sure enough over the last several weeks multiple women matching his description had disappeared all over Regina and the whole Saskatchewan area as a whole!
'Freeze kidnapped them to use them as guinea pigs for his experiments with Project Lungfish! He we need a facility that not only has a lot of power, but a lot of the materials the project had, but he cannot go back to the warehouse...' thought Batman before he came up with another idea.
"Batwing look up recent thefts of liquid nitrogen, surgical equipment, nitrous oxide, glass, high grade stainless steel, Water, and massive generators."said Batman and sure enough the back computer showed that large amounts of everything he listed off had been stolen all over the Saskatchewan area over the recent weeks.
"If Freeze can't find a lab to fit his needs then he'll make the lab himself. Now batwing look up large abandoned buildings near Freezes last known location."said Batman as he got out of the warehouse and hopped onto his snowmobile.
Sure enough there was one building about forty miles away from the warehouse that would be a perfect place for freeze to hide out and do his experiments in. It was an abandoned Emergency Government Headquarters.
Large underground facilities that were built by the Canadian military at the height of the Cold war in case of nuclear fallout! The Emergency Government Headquarters was practically at the center of where all the thefts had been reported.
Meaning more than anything that's where Mr Freeze was currently located! Along with the women he has kidnapped for his experiments!

"I can't believe that's what Project lungfish was!"said Sam as currently she and the others were riding towards the underground bunker as well!
"Yeah Jerry managed to pull some strings and call in a favor with someone high in the Canadian government, thank goodness Canada is still part of the Commonwealth."said Alex as she was glad Jerry knew people in high places.
"But still what does a hibernation project, a whole bunch of kidnapped women, and a bunch of stolen equipment have to do with this walking corpse?"questioned Clover, not understanding what any of this had to do with the guy in the space suit.
"My guess is that we're dealing with some kind of mad scientist who stole all that equipment and kidnapped all of those women for some kind of mad experiment. Either way we need to get to that Emergency Government Headquarters as that's the only place with enough privacy and space for him to do his experiments."said Sam as she began driving the snowmobile as fast as it could.
[Emergency Government Headquarters]
"I want to go home!"said one of the young women as she and several others were tied together by with chains as Mr Freeze was filling one of the hibernation chambers he built with liquid nitrogen and water, along with several other ingredients so that the women wouldn't freeze to death.
"Shh shh shh, no more crying as now you are going to help me in my research that if successful, will help me cure many sick people, including someone I love more than anyone."said Mr Freeze as he picked up one of the women and began dragging her to the hibernation chamber.
"No...NOOOOOO!"said the young woman as she was knocked out with nitrous oxide and lowered into the hibernation chamber with a ventilator mask so she could breathe.
"Soon you will all help me finish the research that I have been working so long to finish!"said Mr Freeze as he pulled out the strain of McGregor system he was carrying.
"Soon my beloved, when I find a way to get back home you will finally be cured and we will be together again."said Mr Freeze as the women looked on with fear as they looked at the other hibernation chambers that they would soon to be put in well at the same time hoping that someone, anyone will come save them!
Before it is too late!
