Welcome to Lord of Alaska! Sorry if this fanfic has mistakes. I will try to revise and edit as much as possible. Disclaimer: The characters and places that you know belong to Rick Riordan, everything else is mine. Thanks for all followers, favorites, and reviews!

Special thanks to 5,000 reading Greek meets Roman! This is a huge milestone! Thanks for all the time you spent for reading my stories! You guys are the best!

READ THIS! I will stop writing new chapters of either story for a few weeks. I realize that the first couple chapters of Greek meets Roman are poorly and badly written. I will be rewriting the first chapters during May. The next chapter of GmR will be published at least in the middle of June.

Previously - Memory

The Fates announced in unison, "This is unusual. But, Kronos, your son's fate is in your hands. One important decision will happen right after we leave. Farewell."

The fates left in a flash of purple light, leaving only the Titans and MV in the room.

"Your son's fate is in your hands." Perseus couldn't believe how depressing and, unfortunately, true that statement was.

He dreaded the next part of the dream.

The part that would determine the future of the cosmos.

The House of Snow, Alaska
Perseus' Memory

All the Titans in the room except Kronos and Rhea started talking to each other in hushed voices. Perseus knew they were talking about him being a god. It probably was gossip for them. Back then, there was no Titan War or even gods!

The god contemplated if his life could have gotten better if the Fates said he was a Titan. Nah, he thought, I love this me.

Kronos hid MV from everyone, stopping Rhea from getting her son.

"What's wrong Kronos?" Rhea asked worriedly.

The titan put a hand on MV's forehead, trying to find if his aura was one of a Titan's. Kronos gasped in shock, surely finding MV's aura not to be one of a Titan's.

Rhea took this opportunity to get her son back in her arms. MV, the sweet, little, innocent godling, was looking around in astonishment, not knowing the predicament he was in.

"Attention, Titans!" Kronos' voice boomed across the room. "The fates have said my son is a god!"

"That must mean he is from the next generation of rulers of the Cosmos, and he will overthrow the Titans!"

The Titans looked at each other in confusion. They all knew Kronos had always wanted kids, so why did he come up with this crazy theory?

Rhea hugged MV closer to her chest, putting him to sleep magically.

"Remember the curse that my father Ouranos gave to me? He said that one of my sons will overthrow me. This boy is obviously the culprit!"

The Titans looked at Kronos to see what would happen next. "I have decided to eat him up! Perseus will never know the outside world and will never know he wants to overthrow me!"

The Titans roared in approval, wanting their future usurper to disappear. (That was a fast change of opinion! No wonder the Titans he fought were stupid.)

Rhea, hearing this, said to Kronos, "Don't you think you're going a bit too far?"

The titan shook his head and said, "No. This is the solution. Give me Perseus so I can eat him."

Rhea shook her head wildly in shock and hugged MV closer to her chest. "No!"

Kronos glared at his wife intensely. "Give me the babe. Now."

Rhea started backing away, looking for an escape.

"That's an order. Give it," he said with a little more force.

Perseus wanted to help his mother so badly, but he couldn't do anything in this memory. He only had about two minutes left in this memory before he could escape this. He hoped Kronos didn't do anything terrible to Rhea afterwards. He would cut up Kronos a million times if rape occured!

Rhea started to shine brightly, getting into her divine form. Perseus knew it would fail, but it didn't hurt to hope, right?

Kronos shouted to the Titans, "Retrain her! Make sure she stays here!"

Hyperion, the most loyal follower of Kronos, arrived first. He pulled her in when she was halfway through her escape. Rhea tried to teleport, but she couldn't escape Hyperion's strong and muscular arms.

"Here she is, brother," he said with distaste.

Kronos thanked Hyperion and took MV out of her arms. Rhea started sobbing, reaching out for her baby.

(The dark part of Perseus wanted to say to her "Your last child will not be eaten. But that will take 6 more babes." just to see her reaction.)

The Titan of light still blocked her, so she kicked him in the groin hard and shot out towards MV.

Perseus winced at the pain Hyperion felt as he collapsed through the floor, holding his groin tightly. Theia, the wife of Hyperion, pulled him up and glared at Rhea.

Rhea grabbed MV before Kronos could eat it and sprinkled some purple dust on MV.

Kronos didn't notice and seethed, "I told you to restrain her!"

Iapetus and some other Titans pulled her back, but the Titaness didn't fight back. In fact, she looked at peace and almost content.

Perseus found that suspicious and linked it to the purple powder on MV. He knew that he couldn't do anything in the memory, but maybe he had enough power to analyze the powder.

The area around his hand warped and twisted until the powder could be touched. Perseus quickly grabbed a pinch of the powder. (He didn't want to lose all of his energy!) Once his hand left, the area untwisted itself and went back to normal.

Back at the memory, Kronos enlarged his mouth to make it giant and dropped MV inside. (In hindsight, Perseus thought there would be more gore. Fortunately there was none.)

Rhea whimpered silently. The titan rubbed his abdomen which had MV inside.

Perseus now felt disgusted with himself. All of his body was once in his enemy's stomach.

Ugh! He wanted to clean himself as quickly as possible. He started by wiping away any dust on him, careful to retain the purple powder. Hopefully, the powder would still be on his hand when he left the memory.

He could now sense the energy that was trapping him was weaker than his power. Perseus pushed his whole body, soul, and energy out of the memory. There was resistance, but he was more powerful than that.

He was the god of ice, mountains, and winter. He was the Lord of Alaska!

He was not going to be trapped in this hellhole any longer!

And nobody, not even the powerful primordials, could stop him from escaping!

Perseus quickly shot up from his chair, now in his mansion in Alaska. Wait, chair? He collapsed in a hallway, not in a chair! Where the Tartarus was he? Did he get captured by the wisps?

Perseus' concerns washed away when he saw Hades and Hestia sitting on chairs around him in the living room, smiling in relief when he got up. Hestia rushed forward and gave him a hug. He hugged her back and smiled at her affection.

Perseus telepathically asked Hades how he got from the hallway into the living room.

The god replied back telepathically, You collapsed in the hallway when chasing those wisps. I had to drag you all the way over here. You have no idea how Hestia acted when you were unresponsive. Oof!

Perseus chuckled. Hestia looked at him with a tilted head. "I'm glad you are okay, Percy. Hades told me you collapsed when chasing some wisps. What happened?"

Perseus took a deep breath. "I touched the gold wisps, and it launched me into a memory of mine. I tried to escape, but that deity trapped me in it. After a few minutes, I had enough power to escape the memory."

"Which memory was it?" Hades asked.

"It was my first one: my birth and me being eaten up by Kronos. I did not want to relive that. You have no idea how much I wanted Mother to notice me. It's been so long."

The two other gods nodded solemnly, since they also missed Rhea and her love. Hestia noticed powder on Perseus' hand, which had luckily been transported into his mansion. "What's that purple powder? Is it from the deity who trapped you?"

The god of ice shook his head and lifted his hand. "No. Mother sprinkled this on me just before Kronos ate me." (That sounded weird to all ears.) "I warped the area to get the powder and analyze what it is."

Perseus hovered his hand over the purple powder, emitting his blue aura over it. It didn't take much effort to analyze it.

"So, it's a type of protection for immortals. But why would she sprinkle it on me?"

"So you wouldn't fade in Kronos' stomach! Mother must have put it on all of us so we couldn't fade. Kronos must have thought you would have faded naturally, but the powder saved you. That's genius!" Hades exclaimed.

"She did it to all of us. But, if she put it on me first, why did it take until Zeus to stop us from being eaten? Replacing us with a rock would have been easy."

"We don't know, and we probably won't ever know unless we can find Mother," Hestia said regretfully.

"How did you get trapped into your memory?" Hestia asked. "You have always said that you can sense when an immortal enters your mansion."

The god winced. "I must have gotten too prideful in the last few years and not paid that much attention to potential intruders. I was angry over how some wisps got into my palace and acted without thinking. It was my fault."

Hestia smiled and put a hand on Perseus' shoulders reassuringly. He sacrificed his pride when he took responsibility, a big surprise from a god.

"We all make mistakes, don't we? And this didn't cause any harm. Do you know who the deity was?"

"Oh. When Perseus collapsed, I forced the wisps out of the mansion. I forgot to try to identify the intruder. Oops." Hades said.

Hestia shook her haid as if to say I have two stupid brothers. There weren't any lies in that statement.

"Now that this whole memory debacle is finished, will I go to their camp?"

Hestia answered, "I guess so. If no more memories will come and attack you, we're all set."

"So, we'll go to their entrance. I'll bring my xiphos, and Hestia can bring the suppressant."

Perseus sighed. "Well, this marks our goodbye, Hades. Your sword will be invaluable. Thank you for forcing the intruder out of my palace."

"Hopefully, my helm will be returned by you, if not the questers. Thank you for deciding to help with finding the items, Percy."

Perseus' eyes widened when Hades called him 'Percy' but he let it slide. He figured the two were close enough so they could be called by nicknames.

"Well, your helm will be returned by the solstice. Goodbye."

"Goodbye, brother. Stay safe. You don't know who might attack you without your helm," Hestia said, eyes tight and worried.

Hades rolled his eyes and hugged his sister. "I will. Don't worry."

Hades came forward and also hugged Perseus. "Good luck. Remember, you're being a demigod there, not a god. They will be your equals."

Perseus grimaced and waved his hand. Gods were above humans, not equal to them! It would be blasphemy for other gods, but he was not other gods.

He could stomach it. Right?

"I know. Stop bringing up bad things I'll have to follow."

Hades snorted. "I'll see both of you later in June."

He erupted into a fistful of shadows that drifted away from the mansion towards Los Angeles and the Underworld.

After the shadows disappeared, Hestia asked, "Shall we go to the camp's entrance?"

Perseus nodded. He summoned his new xiphos, twirling it around.

The goddess disappeared in a swirl of fire while he dissolved in a shower of snow.

The two gods both arrived behind some trees on Half-Blood Hill. Perseus could see some strawberry fields, some giant wall that had lava flowing down, and some woods near the water. He could also see a big pine tree at the top of the hill, which had strange energy inside it.

Perseus started to walk over to that tree, but Hestia pulled him back.

"What, sister!? That pine tree has some strange energy flowing off of it. I think it might be some hidden demigod."

Hestia grimaced. "Remember the story I told you five years ago? About the daughter of Zeus?"

Perseus nodded and connected the dots together. "She almost died, but Zeus made her into a pine tree. That's why I could sense some demigod in the tree."

"Remember, Percy, you have to add 'Lord' or 'Lady' at the camp. You will act like a demigod, so you'll have to add those words to the gods' name."

Perseus rolled his eyes. "Fine. Lord Zeus turned her into a pine tree. Happy?"

"I'm serious! You can't act like you're above them if the Bolt and the Helm will be rescued!"

"I know, I know. I just don't like sacrificing my dignity for these things."

"Good. So, act like a demigod, not a god. The camp will be your home, so act like it. And above all, stay low as the mortals say. You don't want to stand out."

Perseus grumbled. "Yes, yes, and yes. So, whose child will I be at the camp?"

"Since you'll be staying hidden, you won't have a known godly parent. You don't want to attract too much attention."

"But I have to have one! What will I tell the campers about my backstory?"

"Just say you have a mortal mother and she sent you here for safety. You don't know your godly parent. Make up a story. Anything."

"Fine. I'll do that. So, shall I go into the camp?"

Hestia shook her head. "Wait, we have to put the suppressant and the aura inducer on you!"

She summoned the two items while Perseus slumped his shoulders. "Do what you need to do."

Perseus turned his back, but Hestia stopped him. "Wait, you will have to change into a correct age before I put the items on."

At his confused face, she continued, "You look like you are in your twenties. That's too old for the camp."

"Ah! So what age should I be?"

"Probably as a twelve or thirteen year old. That's a good age for hiding."

Perseus took her advice and shifted into a twelve year old. He turned into a slim five foot tall child, still retaining the icy blue eyes and the jet-black hair.

"So, do-" Perseus paused and grumbled, surprised at his new higher-pitched voice.

"This voice is terrible. This is why I hate changing my appearance. Too many new things."

Hestia smiled amused. "Shall we get going? It's already the afternoon."

"Right." Perseus turned his back and let Hestia put the items on.

She attached the first part of the suppressant, which was grey and the size of a normal cotton ball, on his head. She then added the brown same-sized second part to the small of his back.

Hestia then took the grey marble-sized aura inducer and carefully put it on top of the suppressant on Perseus' back. She tweaked and adjusted the items so they wouldn't break or fall. The goddess experimentally pushed a bit both items, but they held tightly. Good. It won't fall.

Hestia dusted her hands like a clap and exhaled. "It's finished. I am about to activate the aura inducer and the suppressant. Are you ready?"

Perseus nodded, taking in a deep breath.

The goddess tapped the suppressant on his head three times. She muttered, "καταστολή αυτής της αύρας," roughly translating into suppress this aura.

Perseus gasped and kneeled on the ground with his hands supporting him. That took the breath out of him! Breathing heavily, he put his hand over his chest and got up unsteadily.

Hestia grabbed his arm for support and asked, "Are you well? Did the suppressant fail?" Perseus shook his head. "I'm fine, just a little disoriented. Auras are a major part of gods' power and energy. Give me a second."

Soon after, Hestia continued with the aura inducer. She tapped the inducer once and circled it twice. She muttered, "αύρα ενός ημίθεου," translating more or less to demigod aura.

Perseus was bathed in pure white light, the color of Olympus.

The color of none of and all the gods.

"Are you okay?" Perseus held up his hands towards his face and rubbed them on his waist down to his legs. "Hmm."

He looked up at his sister, noticing her question. "This feels very weird and new. I feel a bit powerless and mortal-"

"That's expected. You're posing as a demigod."

Perseus glared at Hestia. "I will do just fine. I strangely feel tied to Olympus and something else. I can't sense it."

"It's the gods. All of them, including the ones not residing at Olympus. The inducer gave you an aura from all the gods, so nobody can assign you a god."

"Well, hopefully I will soon find the thief, since I don't want any ties to Olympus or their gods. Even though most were born after I was banished, their king brings a bad taste to my mouth."

Hestia put a hand on his shoulder. "In a couple days, weeks at most, you will be able to go back to Alaska and your mansion. You just need to find the thief who stole the Bolt and the Helm."

"Easy mission." Perseus said sarcastically. "The easiest, actually, since the last time someone stole Zeus' bolt. When was that, by the way?"

Hestia rubbed her right hand on her chin. "One of his sons stole his Bolt, and as punishment lightning bolts constantly strike the Catatumbo River."

"What? How?" Perseus asked in a valley girl voice. "One of his sons stole the Bolt in the 1700s. He went to Venezuela to escape Zeus and Europe. Zeus obviously got his Bolt back and cursed his son's footsteps to constant thunderstorms and lightning. The mortal was buried near that river, so that area now gets constant storms."

"That seems a bit excessive, even for Zeus."

"The son was a key official in Venezuela when it was under Spain. Zeus made the storms much stronger at the river because Venezuela adopted communist policies. Zeus thinks it's a fitting punishment for the mortal's legacy. He hates communism." Hestia whispered.

"Sounds like him. Zeus would say it gives too much power to the people."

The two laughed. They continued gossiping about comical moments, in Alaska and on Olympus, until a couple hours had passed.

"Shit!" Hestia exclaimed, eyes wide.

"What?"

"It's already the evening! You should have entered camp hours ago."

"Don't tell me we've been talking for that long!" He whined.

Perseus noticed Hestia's distress, with her hands in her hair. "What's wrong? A few hours is nothing for us gods."

"You don't understand! Zeus has been implementing semi weekly meetings to check if any of the gods got his Bolt back. It started half an hour ago, and one of them must have noticed I'm not there."

"Relax, Hestia," Perseus rubbed her back soothingly. "If they don't notice you normally, they won't notice you for just half an hour." Hestia glared at his hidden message.

"I'm not saying you're useless!" She was not useless! Perseus raised his hands up.

"I'm just saying they think you're useless."

"Thanks. That made me feel so much better," Hestia said, voice heavy with sarcasm.

"Still, I must go back to Olympus. If I don't tend the hearth for long enough today, who knows what will happen with their short fuses and hot tempers."

Perseus laughed at her joke. "I shouldn't leave you waiting then."

Hestia nodded. "I'll give you some last advice before you leave."

He rolled his eyes and waved his hands carelessly. "Yes, act like a mortal, not a god, yada yada."

"I'm being serious! I have a feeling this mission will be sidetracked. Your name is Aster, not Perseus or Percy. Act like a mortal, a demigod, and most importantly a camper. And-"

Perseus held her hands firmly. "I know. I swore on the Styx to try my best to rescue the Bolt and the Helm. I won't go back on that. Stop overstressing yourself. It's not good for you or the mission."

Hestia nodded unsurely.

"Please?" Perseus asked with his best puppy eyes he had.

"Fine. I'll go to Olympus."

Finally! "You can continue to help find the items, but it won't be the end of the world."

"Well, it technically could be, but it won't," Perseus said, touching his forehead with hers. It was a good thing they were the same height!

"You know why? Because we're going to find the Bolt, the Helm, and the thief. And we're doing that without overstressing ourselves. It won't help with anything."

Hestia took his advice and pulled her hands away. "I'll leave. Just be careful and act like a camper."

Perseus nodded and waved goodbye.

Hestia disappeared in a swirl of fire, searing a branch of a nearby tree.

A dryad came out of it and spat a few colorful curse words at Perseus. He was tempted to destroy her for the disrespect, but realized that the spirit couldn't tell he was a god. So the angry dryad went ignored.

Perseus walked out of the trees and onto the base of Half-Blood Hill. He decided it was now or never and walked until the magical border. He could see at the top of the hill 12 cabins in an Ω shape, a volleyball court, an amphitheater, the Long Island Sound at the end, and much more.

Perseus thought that this mission could actually be fun with all the endless activities. He shrugged his shoulders and crossed the border without a pushback. (Even though he was a god, the aura inducer succeeded in making the border believe he was a demigod.)

Perseus could now see some demigods with orange t-shirts on with Camp Half-Blood and a pegasus on them. (He had to use his enhanced vision for that. He felt so for mortals and their weak eyes!) He saw a centaur near a big grass-free area with twelve tables. That must be Chiron, the leader.

He walked to the area, which looked like a dining pavilion. Suddenly, a blonde girl with the same t-shirt as the other campers stumbled into him.

Now he had to work to sense approaching humans! Normally auras came naturally to him. The suppressant restricted more than he thought.

"Sorry for stumbling into you!" the girl exclaimed, picking up a book about architecture from the ground. Up close, Perseus could see her stormy grey eyes and passionate expression.

"Uh, who are you? I don't think I've ever seen you before at Camp."

Perseus, intimidated by her suspicious expression, fumbled for words. (She was really scary!) This was his chance to choose his backstory! Spoiler alert: his attempt failed.

"Well, uh, my mom dropped me off at the hill and told me to go in here. She said this is where I would find my heritage or something."

The girl resumed her suspicious look for a second before taking on a friendly face. "Your mom's right. But first things first, what's your name?"

"My name's Aster. You can call me Ash."

Perseus held a hand out for a handshake. He heard that was a normal mortal way of greeting someone. The girl shook his hand.

"Weird name, but whatever. My name's Annabeth Chase. But that's Annabeth, not Anne or Annie, okay?" she said, the tone serious and threatening. Perseus nodded wildly and wondered if there was some traumatic incident in the girl's life since she only liked the name 'Annabeth'.

"So, can you explain to me what this place is? It looks like a summer camp," Perseus said, looking around the camp.

The girl, Annabeth, beamed. "Well, this is a summer camp. Trust me, you're going to love it here. There's a climbing wall filled with lava." She pointed towards the climbing wall.

Perseus did his best to sound amazed and shocked.

"This place is called Camp Half-Blood and is for half-bloods. Half-bloods are children of the gods, the Greek ones, that have a mortal parent. My mom is Athena, the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy. The cabins are arranged in the order of the Olympians, so mine is cabin #6…"

Annabeth explained what Camp Half-Blood was while Perseus tried to sound confused about Olympians existing. (It was hard denying things he saw everyday with his own eyes!)

As Annabeth rambled on about demigods, he wondered, What have I gotten myself into?

What did he get himself into?

So, here is my third chapter of Lord of Alaska! Hope you liked it!

Since I am working on editing the first couple of chapters of GmR and then writing a new chapter for the same story, I probably won't update this until July. Who knows? Nothing's set in stone.

Summary: After the memory about his birth and how he got eaten, Perseus wakes up in his mansion. Hades departs with promises and pieces of advice. Hestia goes with Perseus to camp and makes him seem like a demigod. He finally meets Annabeth who introduces him to CHB.

Perseus has finally arrived at CHB and met Annabeth! We're in the canon part now. This may seem like a dead-end, but there will be a twist in the next couple chapters! We will also see Luke, Chiron, Dionysus, and Percy.

Perseus chose Aster as his demigod name. (First of all, I know I'm unusual for narrating with Perseus instead of Percy.) I will change my narration so Perseus will be referred to as Aster so nobody gets confused.

Questions: Will Perseus be able to fit in as a demigod at CHB? Will he be able to hide his extensive knowledge about the gods? Will Annabeth grow suspicious of him? How will he interact with Chiron and Dionysus? How will Perseus interact with the son of Poseidon?

I published the first three chapters of my second story an exact year after I published the first chapter of my first story. From May 5, 2020 to May 5, 2021. A year! Pretty symbolic.

Have a great day and let's all Mystify!
