The Diego Diaries: Convocation of the Will (dd8 527)
I am mixed up. I thought this was posted but it wasn't apparently. I will post this and the next one to make up for being an idiot. :D:D:D

"There's Starscream and the others," Prowl said as he pointed to a number of mechs walking toward them, their optics fixed upon the sight surrounding them. They paused beside Prowl, Arrow and Paragon. Heatout and Cyclonus followed behind them.
"This is surprising," Starscream said.
"This is a Convocation of the Will. They made good on Their statement that if this didn't die They would intervene," Rainmaker said as his two bonds, sons and their bonds gathered around him. All of Starscream's trine stood silently with him.
"Is everyone here?" Prowl asked as he glanced around.
Coming through the dust was Lucien and his family, all of those in the Squad with their bonds and sons, some of them overwhelmed into silence at the sight. The femmes with Maelstrom and Partition were behind them. Keystock held Periodic's servo tightly as they huddled closer to their fathers. Others in the group, Caro with Payload, Siso from the command center of Earth2 and others gathered.
The figure before them was beginning to change and as Prowl glanced at the other one about a mile away he could see that one was as well. A mech was forming out of the light, slowly but surely They were, Their features becoming incrementally clearer by the minute.
=0=At the same time, around
Cargo stood beside his fathers in the group as Lon and Bezel stepped closer to them. Keystock was there as well. Around the area watching with disquiet and some sense of fear, a large number of their friends, former high castes who had lived large but had learned a thing about reality gathered. Among them were Joon and Vinn with Rung and Jarro. Behind them was Coln-2 with Fenix and Tril, his bond, Barron and Alto along with Blackstone, No-a, Semi and Silver, the court clerk and their bonds.
It was silent among the group as even more came, called to come by Prowl. It was debatable how many there held children in their holds against the wind.

"What's this do you think?" Pierre Beliveau asked Andre Boudin as a large group of the inmates stood along the vast windows staring out at the howling storm and two giant lights down the way. They were tall and bright, growing noticeably as the humans watched.
"I have no idea, Peri," Andre said. He glanced at the others. "Might it be something to do with their Pantheon? Perhaps they have come to call."
"Why?" Owen Harris said softly, remembering a visit to a group of colossal figures who defied credulity. The universe was vast and unknowable he thought. "I don't know why they're here."
"Maybe They want something done about the bullshit here," Rick Harris said as he stood beside his sister who stared at both of them pensively. He glanced at her. "What do you know about the Pantheon coming together to this place? Is this some sort of thing?"
Rain considered that, then remembered a short remark made by their visiting elder, a priest named Fulcrum who lived in Simfur but was an expert on the early history of Cybertron. He himself was an Immortal.
"I remember when Elder Fulcrum mentioned a gathering. He called it that. It happened in The Beginning. It was called …" She thought a moment. "It was called The Convocation of the Will."
"What does that mean?" Mariah asked nervously. She stared at her daughter marveling how she was so knowledgeable about the bots.
"I think it only happens when something is bad," Rain said with a shrug.
"Oh great," Kyle Davis said as he stared at the scene outside.
The lights had stopped growing and were starting to take a more solid form. It was almost terrifying to watch.
=0=At another place same time
"Do you have any more word, Sam?" Carly asked as she glanced at him. Nearly the entire facility was at the windows watching the sight of two towering lights that were relatively close slowly solidify into what seemed to be giant bots.
Sam who was on the phone to Fulton and Morshower who were at The Family Tower along with Warren Roberts, Mick Moran and their wives for the weekend glanced at her. "Everyone went to the Prison. Prowl called them. Lennox, Epps and Graham are there. They're trying to find out. They said something about a convocation of the will."
"Oh."
Everyone glanced at Olivia who'd been here to tend to her horses before the storm came up. A farrier was there there working on their hooves to re-shoe them.
"What?" Sam asked.
"A Convocation of the Will only happens when things are so dire that it demands the attention of everyone. When they're called its optional for the Pantheon to come. If its bad enough the Pantheon takes over. Those lights," she said glancing at the window, "are the Pantheon. They've come here."
"What could be so dire?" someone asked with a concerned voice.
Olivia stared at a mech forming in the light beyond. "I don't know but I think The System drew this event."
"The System of Exception?" another asked. "Isn't it banned?"
Olivia nodded. "Yeah, but something tells me some didn't get the memo."

"What would you have me do, Lord Primus?" Optimus asked as he rose to stand. "I will do what You will."
Primus grinned. "You always do and you always did. There is little for you to do, My son. We are here to settle the Great Lie and show what I mean when I say that the Time of Poison is over."
"A Convocation of the Will," Optimus said. "I have considered it off and on for some years. I had hoped that those who came here would understand that the time of selfishness and disunity was over. This is a place for all of us to rise as far as our desires and skills wish."
"And it is a paradise compared to what happened on Cybertron," Prima said. He walked closer to Prime. "We have been well pleased with what you and your mechs and femmes accomplished. We are satisfied with the progress of Cybertron as well."
"I cannot find the other Omega Keys. I know that they do not exist on Cybertron but they could be anywhere," Optimus said.
"You will figure it out or not. Either way, your leadership will do what is needed. It always deserved to have a moment to exist, what you could have brought to the table, so that those who opposed you on principle or not, those of our peopke who had no faith in leadership any longer would learn the truth. You were born to do this, My son," Primus said.
"What would you do now, Lord?" Optimus asked the tall astonishingly beautiful, overwhelmingly charismatic figure before him. One could almost see His vast wisdom like a cloud around Him even as the love He bore as part of His person was the first thing that struck someone seeing Him. That was the biggest part of Him, He who had given up His own life, dreams and desires to save All That Is from the Chaos of His brother, Unicron.
"I will do this and the others will assist," Primus said. "You will be with your family and friends who gather. When I need you it will be made clear." With that, He held out His servo and Prime elevated, then began to make the journey back to the ground below, wherever that was.
=0=Below
"LOOK!"
Everyone glanced upward craning their necks to see what was happening. As they did Optimus Prime appeared, then was lowered gently to the ground. It was then that the storm halted everywhere in the colony.
It halted as if it hadn't happened. There was no drifted sand nor was there any berms lying piled up everywhere. The sand was back where it belonged and the constant crack of massive bursts of lightning was gone.
It was so still and silent that it hurt.
It was also entirely different with the lights.

"There. There's one now. That's … which one is that?" Rain thought as the others did, too.
"That's my Prime. That's Solomus," Camilla Brown said. "I did a report on him. Remember?"
Everyone of the kids who attended Youngling Day nodded.
"Who's Solomus?" Cassie Cutter asked as she stood with her arms around her husband.
"He's the smart one, the one who knows everything. He's both Temple and Guiding Hand. He's a really nice guy," Camilla said as she stepped closer to the window to stare at the mech standing fully formed about four miles away. As she did He turned His gaze her way. Then He grinned.
"What the unholy fuck?!" Kyle Davis said as he stepped back startled from the window, then glanced at Camilla. "Did that thing just grin at you?"
Camilla glanced at him, then the figure down the way. She raised her hand and waved hesitantly.
The figure stared at her, then raised his massive arm to wave back.
Bedlam in the Habitat.

"What will happen?" Sandy Clark said as she held her son.
Brandon hung up and turned to her. Nearly everyone was standing with them at the windows. "I just called the Ops Center. They're still getting a posting out and will broadcast it on the IntraCom Emergency Messaging channel. We just have to wait a moment."
Almost as he spoke the giant monitors in the concourse came on to display the IntraCom logo which changed to that of the Primes. All over the colony every monitor, radio station and device came on to broadcast over the emergency messaging system.
At the same time, the transponders of everyone in the colony and on Cybertron, the Inner Empire, Gliese, within prisons and all places that The People occupied lit up to receive transmissions minus those mentally incapacitated or in care. Only Megatron and his crew would be exempt. No Cybertronian anywhere else would be.
=0=26 and crew
They walked to the couch, then settled with the children nestled between them. It was hushed there like it was everywhere as they waited for the news to come.
=0=Club Cybertron
Those who had decided to wait out the storm there watched in hushed silence as the logo of the Primes flashed on the screens around the huge club. All of the conversation had stopped, then a small mech of great antiquity stood up from the table where he was having dinner with his antique bond and genitors. "LISTEN UP! THEY'RE HERE! THE GREAT ONES! THE POWERS! THEY'RE GOING TO LOWER THE BOOM ON ALL OF US FOR THIS SLAGGING SYSTEM! MARK MY WORDS!" he said as he glanced at his genitors.
"MY OLD GENITORS WERE IN THE FIRST REVOLUTION AND THEY FOUGHT THE QUINTESSANS! THE FUNCTIONALISTS WERE NEXT AND I WAS THERE, TOO, ME AND THE BOND! NOW ITS THE TURN FOR THE SYSTEM! YOU BETTER LISTEN UP! THERE'S IMMORTALS IN THIS COLONY AND CYBERTRON THAT KNOW! JUST LOOK AT THEM!" he said pointing to his table of loved ones. "THEY'RE IMMORTALS AND EXEMPT! I'LL HELP THEM! WE'RE HERE TO FIGHT THE SLAGGERS AGAIN!
It was silent, then a big mech turned to them. "Thank you for what you tried to do, Abbas and Ammas. I hope he's right."
Alejate glanced at his emotional son, then the mech. "I think you can count on it, son."
=0=The Hourly News: Special Report moments before
"We're receiving word that the beings of light represent the Pantheon and They are here to oversee a Convocation of the Will. We will be relinquishing control of the broadcast network now to Them," Aleph said with an expression of intense gravity.
The system flipped to the logos and IntraCom was in control of The Powers.

"I would give my left arm to be there," Glenn Morshower said as he sat beside his wife on a couch in a room filled with everyone at home.
"They're there, those big mechs," Mama Fig said as she paused her hand work. "They're through talking to Optimus."
"What's happening, Mama?" Judy Fulton asked someone everyone had learned was as accurate as a Wang computer when it came to figuring out what was going on.
"The Powerful Ones," she said in a slightly disapproving voice, "They're unhappy with some of the colonists. They want their system and the Powerful Ones don't. I think this will be interesting," she said as she bent to her crocheting once more.
Everyone stared at her, the screen, then her.
"Fig, your mama is a master of understatement," Glenn said quietly.
Fig Figueroa nodded. "You can say that again."
Then the screen changed yet again.

Donnie Rose: Good question about Alpha. I don't know that they're going to preserve Prime's and his anonymity. The story is still forming. HUGS, darling.
Jackalkat: I love cliffhangers. I learned to do them writing Star Trek because it drove the readers nuts there. The Powers are done with the BS. HUGS!
Cball671: Loved the visual of you having your morning sit down with the boys. Everyone will see this including Cybertron. I'm interested in the reactions of everyone. No one gets to sit this one out. HUGS!
MistyLegionaire: Your questions are in the queue for the story. I am curious how they can be rescued given the Pantheon coming. Its a good suggestion. Given their tech, it would seem that they'd have some sort of way short of bulldozing them to get them swiftly. HUGS!
Farrier: a manicurist for horses and their hooves. Given that horse hooves like our nails are made of the same stuff as hair, they grow and have to be worked. Youtube has farriers working on some sorry hooves and restoring them for horses. I love to see them put shoes on draft horses. Imagine a horseshoe as big as a dinner plate. :D:D:D
