"How was it?" Zack asks, watching with a small smile as Dolph walks stiffly through the apartment and collapses onto their bed face first. "That good, huh?"

"It was good to be back," he sighs. "Just... my shoulder got kinda messed up. Trainer said to take it easy for a couple days." He's on his stomach so he can't tell what Zack's immediate reaction to that is, but he senses it's not good, his fiance more than a little paranoid about arm injuries right now. "Hey, kid?"

Zack's gnawing on his bottom lip as he leans closer and examines Dolph's arm, gingerly touching it. "Yeah?"

"Don't worry, I'm ok. Made them check me out, run tests, everything. They didn't miss anything." With his good arm, he grips Zack around the waist and draws him down onto the bed, kissing him. "How are you feeling?"

"Fine," he shrugs. "Antsy to return." At this angle, he can reach Dolph's arm so he gently kneads the tense muscles there, chuckling when Dolph exhales almost directly in his ear. "Feel good?"

"Mm hmm." He groans into the pillows as Zack works a little harder, his fingers flexing. "God, kid. That feels..." He loses track of his words as Zack leans in and presses a kiss to the back of his neck, humming under his breath. "..incredible. If you didn't make it as a wrestle, you should've been a masseuse."

Zack shakes his head with a small laugh. "Sure, bro, but then we probably wouldn't have met."

Dolph scoffs. "Oh please, I probably would've needed a massage at some point, walked into your parlor, and just became completely enamored with your immature charm."

Zack narrows his eyes at him for a moment before saying, "So you mean you think we're like soul mates or something, bro? No matter where life would've taken us, we'd have ended up together?"

"Yep, exactly what I mean, kid," he sighs, sitting up and rotating his shoulder. "That does feel a lot better." He leans in and kisses Zack's arm, right below his injury, and exhales when Zack runs his fingers through his hair. "Wrestling, stand up, acting, whatever it would've been in our lives, we would've found our way together somehow."

Zack grins and nuzzles against him. "Unordinarily sappy of you, but I like the sounds of it, bro," he says quietly, the cool band of his engagement ring pressed into Dolph's neck as he strokes his skin.

"So do I," Dolph mumbles, his eyes fluttering shut as he rests against Zack's shoulder, wiped out from the travel and everything else that his body had begun to fall out of practice with.

Zack chuckles and kisses the side of Dolph's face before shifting into a more comfortable position, leaning back to rest against the pillows as he watches him sleep. "Good night, bro."
