WE'RE BACK FOLKS!๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

As I have stated before. This version of the Little Mermaid sequel will be extremely different, with only a few small scenes here and there that's salvaged from the original film.

Also as a bonus. I'm adding a Final Fantasy XV character in this story. Starting in this chapter.๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜‰

You will discover a bigger reason why Melody was cut off from the ocean for twelve years and she will not be as dumb and gullible as the movie made her out to he.

But she will inherit a lot more of the mermaid from her mother. Like she will be extremely warm and lovable towards cute handsome boys like her mother, having instant crushes at first sight like her mother. She'll have no restraint in hugs toward friends like her mother. And like her mother, she'll have a very angelic singing voice.

In fact, while Melody is still voiced by the extremely talented Tara Strong. And while her speaking voice is natural in most roles. O always felt like her singing voice leaves a lot to be desired. And it shows in the Little Mermaid II

That's why Melody's singing voice will be voiced by the legendary AGT golden buzzer winner. Angelica Hale.

And I'm having her sing a famous song from Disney's Moana.

"Say whaaaaaaaaaa?!" Connor dropped his jaw ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

"Oh? Do you like my voice?" Melody mused and giggled. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I mean Angelica Hale has a very light voice when she speaks so she can pass that voice to any role in my opinion.

So yeah. Connor voiced by Jordan Fisher and his Maverick form voiced by Ruffin Prentiss.

While Melody is voiced by Tara Strong and her singing voice is voiced by Angelica Hale.

Perfect balance would you say?

Anyhow! On to answering comments.

SPYRO 101: Thank you! Oh Connor will definitely have a team. Given that he is sort of a mixed of both Sora and Aiden for this story. Melody will be the first member since she's considered this story's Kairi with just a dash of Victoria. And yes I agree about the film. But you may find this much more entertaining than the Disney Direct Sequel. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜‰

RustyPete12: Thank you! I'm so glad this new idea did not disappoint. And in fact I actually based Mini-Mav on Mini-Max from the Big Hero 6 series. While he is not in this chapter. Don't worry, there will be more of him later. Plenty more. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‰

olehbilenko93: Thank you! I always appreciate your support! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜

Haxorus knight: Eh. Not a bad Idea. But I wouldn't be caught dead writing those two Lion King rip offs. Still, not a bad idea.

Alright. Now that we're all here.

LET'S GET DANGEROUS! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

The Maverick's Melody.

Twelve years ago. Above the waters of Denmarkโ€ฆ..

It was at the crack of dawn as the sun began to rise over the horizon. As Scuttle the seagull was flying above a grassy plain, until he reached the end of the land and began flying over the sea. He was flying towards a ship that was just off the coast of the castle near the bay. And on that large ship in one of the cabins was Ariel. Wearing a gold andwhite dress, she also had her red hair tied in a low ponytail decorated with a white bow.

The Princess soon to be Queen was looking over into a baby crib, seeing a beautiful baby girl. With short raven black hair, aqua blue eyes and chubby cheeks with pretty pink lips, wearing a white and pink christening gown that resembled a seashell and a bow of the same colors.

This was Ariel's daughter, Melody. Who was gurgling and reaching up trying to grab at the fish-themed mobile that hung above the crib. Melody was born not too long ago as they were on their way to introduce her to the rest of the family.

Ariel was humming a lullaby to Melody as she picked the baby up and held her in her arms.

"You are my world my darling~ What a wonderful world I see~" Ariel sang softly as she gently rocked Melody in her arms. "You are the song I'm singing~ You're my beautiful Melody~" Ariel finished softly, with a light kiss to her baby's forehead.

"Aaai..." Melody cooed in her arms as she seemed like she was too overjoyed and happy to even fall asleep.

Then Ariel heard a knock at the door. A soft one as Eric came in front the door wearing a white royal suit for a royal Prince of Denmark. Soon to be King once he becomes of legal age for the title. His royal uniform was white the collar and epaulets were gold and his belt was also white with matching trousers and black boots.

When Melody saw her Daddy walk in. She beamed and squealed as she was happy to see him too. This was supposed to be her afternoon nap and Melody was too excited to sleep. Perhaps from seeing her Dad, maybe.

"Did I just ruin her nap?" Eric asked as he walked in and gave Ariel a kiss, which she returned.

"Not really, she actually seems to be too excited to sleep right now." Ariel replied while cooing at the baby.

Eric smiled and stroked Melody's hair before he looked out the window to see Scuttle fly by the window.

"Well, she might as well be. Our spotters just reported the sighting of Mermaids coming in from the Atlantic. You wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would you?" Eric smirked and teased as he wrapped his arms around his wife from behind.

Ariel giggled and leaned into her husband's warm embrace.

"Well, it wouldn't be much of a celebration if the whole family wasn't here to see this." Ariel replied back.

In addition to a family reunion. Eric had also coke of legal age to take the throne as King of Denmark. But before the coronation. They needed to see the family.

Ariel's family.

Then they heard a knock at the door as Grimsby. Prince Eric's confidant and advisor walked in as he gestured with respect and admiration.

"My Prince. My lady. They have arrived." Grimsby replied with a bow and smile.

Ariel looked excited as she and Eric stood side by side to walk while Ariel was still holding Melody. And made their way outside.

As they stood on the top deck of the ship. They saw None other than King Triton himself hovering with the use of a small water sprout as he was hovering to the side of the ship. Along with dozens of his elite soldiers. Sebastian at his side who was looking happy to see them.

Scuttle the seagull was perched on the mass to see the whole thing. And all of Ariel's sisters were hovering above the water behind the King.

All who were named. Atina, the first born and most responsible.

Then the others were named Alana, Adella, Aqusta, Arista and Andrina.

The sisters waved at Ariel who smiled bright at them and waved back.

And Ariel's old friend Flounder came and flipped over the water to wave at Ariel. Ariel giggled and waved back at her little friend as they finally came up to King Triton.

The King looked down at his Granddaughter for the first time. And had nothing but love in his eyes. He looked at Ariel with the same love.

It had been a year and a half since Ariel got married to Prince Eric and they had just gotten back from their long honeymoon trip across the world. Ariel had seen many sights, but her heart always belonged to her home.

And now so does Melody. Who was Giggling at all the flower petals that were being tossed and she reached up with her arms.

"My precious Melody." Triton said softly down to his baby granddaughter, holding a gold seashell pendant to her, which grabbed at giggling. "I'm giving you this locket, so that you will never that part of your heart will always belong to the sea."

King Triton then opened the locket. And a bright ball of light rose from it, and began showing Atlantica in all its splendor. With mermaids swimming about joyfully.

"Aah..." Melody squealed with joy at the sight, as her favorite lullaby played along with the image. Ariel and Triton shared a smile at the sight.

Once the lullaby ended, Triton closed the locket and gave it to baby Melody.

Then...As everything seemed well between land and sea.

***BOOM!***

They were alarmed to see one of the escort ships blown to bits as the people on board were screaming and dying.

Ariel gasped at the sight as everyone else was alarmed. And the King was ready to act in defense.

"GUARDS! SEARCH FOR SURVIVORS! HELP THEM!" King Triton ordered his elite guards.

The guards obeyed as they were about to swim out to rescue some passengers on board the ship. When suddenly...

FIVE ARMORED SHARKS JUMPED OUT OF THE WATER!

"AAAAAHHHHHH!" The guards screamed as they were chomped on and dragged underwater much to everyone's horror.

Then an entire squad of Meridian soldiers hovered above the waters. Surrounding one enemy. An enemy that they serve.

Attuma.

This mad Atlantean barbarian Attuma was tall, well over six feet. His skin was a greyish blue, with scales covering his legs. He wore armor shaped like a giant V on his front, spiked scale gauntlets, Bronze colored metal boots he had a loincloth and a cape. On top of his head was a helmet with wing-like horns. And his eyes glowed an ominous blue.

As he hovered on top of a savage whale with spikes.

"Surface Dwellers! Citizens of Atlantica! Rejoice! I, Attuma! Lord and ruler of Meridia. have come to take the throne and expand our borders! Join me! And together, we will mark a brilliant new beginning for our once glorious city! That was once whole! Refuse! And die! For I will not be denied!" Attuma roared across the ocean as he held his hand out.

Ariel's sisters stood by King Triton who was glaring back while holding his mighty Trident. While Sebastian and Flounder were hiding behind them shivering in fear.

Eric and Ariel were still standing on the ship looking horrified as Ariel held their daughter close as the commotion caused baby Melody to cry. And Eric was standing in front of them to protect them.

Then. Atlantica's army and reinforcements had arrived to stand with King Triton.

IT'S ON NOW!

"Attuma, you not only dare to attack our home, but on a day meant for Celebration! You have harmed friends and comrades, and now I shall respond in kind!" Triton declared loudly, before raising his arm and giving the command. "ATTACK!"

And at that moment...

A war began...

Lives were lost...

And hearts were separated...

Back to the present in the Atlantica throne room.....

King Triton was seated on his throne. Displaying mystical aquatic images of when Attuma attacked that day. Even showing images of King Triton battling Attuma and their armies clashing.

King Triton was telling Connor everything about that day. And what he had lost.

"The battle was devastating that day. In the end. My forces had won. But not without a great cost." King Triton stated with a heartbroken expression as the images of Attuma's last attempt on his life took place.

The images showed Attuma on the ground. Wielding the power of darkness as he charges his hands. Shoots a dark beam at King Triton who had his back turned to check on a soldier who was down.

The shot however struck Attina. His first born daughter. Who jumped in the way to take a shot for her father. Who turned and screamed in horror while reaching.

As Attina was screaming as she faded into darkness and was no more. Ariel was one the piece screaming and reaching for her sister as she collapsed on the ground crying hard, as Eric was holding Melody and trying to pull Ariel off the beach.

"My daughter. My beloved firstborn. Attina. She gave her life for my own. If the light were to give me a second chance. I...Would take her place instead." King Triton stated with a broken voice as he relived the images. Then he spoke again. "Attuma and his Meridian forces were driven out of Atlantica. And we had been at war with them ever since. Battle after battle. Defense after defense. And as a means to protect everyone. I chose to keep my beloved Ariel safe. By keeping her away from Atlantica, mere people. And the ocean. And it was her choice as well."

Connor felt sympathy for the King as he heard the tale. About why Atlantica had been isolated. And why everyone seems more tense than the Atlantians back home.

"This has been going on for twelve years. And all of us are fighting the urge to give up hope. But as long as I hold this Trident. My family is safe. My Kingdom is safe. And...I believe our victory over this war is not impossible." King Triton stated with determination.

"With permission to speak candidly You're Majesty. War hasn't really started yet." Connor stated as he stood with respect to the King. "What can you tell me about your Trident? It looks different than the one my Uncle has."

"That's because each Trident is unique in its own way. For instance, my Trident has been imbued with the powers of light." Triton went on to explain. "In fact, it serves as a Cornerstone of Light for this world, and Atlantica. And as long as I have it, as King of the sea. Attuma can not conjure anything from the darkness to destroy our home."

Connor understood and figured out something. Based on the type of super villains he had fought over the years, living in the Marvel world. Attuma's actions really write themselves based on his actions.

"Unless he's able to gain a second Trident. Spoke loud to everyone that he's a power addict. He can't get enough and he wants to bust up the ocean of every world until he has it." Connor concluded and added. "He already lost Atlantis to me and my Uncle, so he'll more than likely come here next. The Submariner suggests that we should connect our borders and take on Meridian while they're on life support."

While I do agree joining forces would definitely give us a chance against Attuma. However, I do not want to punish the City of Meridia." Triton stated firmly in his decision. "They have been deceived and are otherwise serving Attuma against their will. I want to take down Attuma and all who serve him by choice. Any other attack and defense against Meridia, for the safety of the rest of the Atlantic kingdoms will be based on necessity."

"It might not come to their city, but we'll cross that stream when we swim to it. Right now the Submariner and Atlantians are already reconstructing their portal to this world, in addition to doing clean up." Orion stated and informed the King. "What he needs is for you to reactivate the portal on your end, so they can come through."

"Understood. It's time for our worlds to become connected." Triton said before looking to the side to call on the seahorse. "Harold."

Harold the Sea Horse swam up to the king.

"Yes, your Majesty?" Harold asked.

"Send word to our forgers and architects to repair and reactivate the portal to Atlantis." Triton commanded. "It's time that we put it to good use.

"Yes, Sire." Harold said with a bow, before swimming off to follow the king's orders.

"And until they call in or come through the portals. They left me in charge to leave you in charge of me, my keys." Connor stated and shifted into the Maverick. "And my alter ego."

"Well, if that is the case, there is something you can do in the meantime." Triton stated.

"Name it, Neptune." Maverick quipped.

"I would like you to go to the surface and keep an eye on my Daughter and her family. Especially my Granddaughter." Triton spoke his request. "You see, her twelfth birthday is soon, and I fear Attuma may try to go after her and my daughter to get to me."

"Wait, how old's your grand baby? Uh! I mean yeah! Sure! Sounds like a breeze. Is there a catch?" Maverick asked to quickly dismiss the first idea about dating.

"It would be best to meet with them around nightfall, after her party concludes. I don't want to cause panic among our human allies." King Triton instructed. "Until then, you are to stay close by in case of anything. But keep out of sight."

"So close but no cigar. Underwater Men In Black." Maverick figured to himself and answered the King with respect. "You got it. I'll be back tonight to report to the Submariner once he arrives. It's been a thrill and an honor to meet you, Your Majesty." He ended with a bow.

"The pleasure is all mine, Maverick." Triton said with a slight bow. "Now go, be careful. And may your heart be your guiding key."

"Likewise." Maverick responded before he teleported away.

The King smiled at this as he was seated on his throne. Just then there was a dark skin merman with a short beard in silver armor resembling a Spartan attire but green instead of red. With a helmet and a long silver spear, he came swimming up to King Triton and bowd with respect.

This merman was Atreus. Current General of Atlantica's army.

"My King. The Meridians have abandoned their border post to the north." General Atreus reported to the King.

"Really. Hmmm, quite curious. Attuma's soldiers would usually never be this reckless." Triton pondered, brushing his beard. "Do our scouts know where the Meridians went?"

"The scouts report that they vanished within the drop off to the east." General Atreus reported.

"Send troops to capture their abandoned outpost." Triton ordered the General. "We will use it to expand our perimeter around the area."

"Yes, Your Majesty." General Atreus bowed and swam off to carry out his orders.

With that, King Triton now had hope. Hope that this war would end, and that he would see his family again. Very soon.

And his hope was given by the Maverick.

Meanwhile at the castle in Denmark...

Prince Eric, now known as King Eric was a proud and just king who was fair and just to the people of Denmark. His beloved Queen Ariel served the people at his side. Ariel is a little bit older than she was since being that free spirited teenage mermaid. Now she is a grown woman. Wiser, but her heart grew bigger. Especially for her daughter.

Now currently people and nobles from across the Danish border were arriving at the castle main entrance to join the party that would soon start. When their guest of honor comes to join them.

Meanwhile, Scuttle flew over the giant wall that separated the castle from the ocean. All of a sudden, he crashed into one of the windows, not noticing it, and since birds can't see glass. He then removed himself from the window and looked about before flying off to another direction.

At the same time in the ballroom, Charlotta the handmaiden walked by with a bunch of folded towels in hand. She glanced out the window before continuing on, and down the stairs as flowers were added to the archway beneath for the party. Ariel was there wearing a periwinkle dress with an up-do decorated with a golden tiara with green and white gems on her necklace and earrings. And her red hair was adjusted and pulled into a modest bun. She was walking around the castle looking for her daughter who wasn't seen for quite a while.

"Melody?" Ariel called out to her daughter while she stood in the ballroom as many people continued to prepare for the party. "Melody?"

Charlotta walked up to Ariel.

"Oh, Charlotta, have you seen Melody?" Ariel asked her.

"Not since this morning, your Majesty." Charlotta replied with a shake of her head. The two parted ways as Ariel continued looking for her daughter.

Ariel entered the kitchen as Chef Louis was on top of a ladder, putting candles on top of Melody's large birthday cake.

"Louis, Melody's not in here, is she?" Ariel asked the Chef.

"No, your Highness. But her birthday cake is, twelve petite candles, sermagnific." Chef Louis exclaimed with a blown kiss at his hard work, making him stumble on the ladder as he almost fell into the cake. He stabilized himself with a nervous chuckle.

Ariel just grinned a little as she closed the door and walked away. Just then, Scuttle flew in a nearby open window behind Ariel as she left.

"Whoee! This is gonna be some kind of shindig. Yes sir, a real Swanky Suarez as they say." Scuttle said, trying to stand in a fancy pose before he broke in to panic. "There's just one thing missing. THE GUEST OF HONOR!"

Meanwhile outside above the ocean watersโ€ฆ

Just on a rock out in the bay, Sebastian was climbing up onto it, looking for Melody, as he was instructed to watch over her by King Triton twelve years ago today. And needless to say, while Sebastian does care for Melody as much as he did for Ariel. He's fed up with the fact that he has to watch over another rebellious teenager with dreams.

" 'Sebastian, you watch over her' he said." Sebastian mocked in frustration.

He then started jumping from rock to rock. To rock.

"I'm too old for dis! A crab my age should be retired." Sebastian complained after jumping onto another large rock and started walking on it as Scuttle flew over and landed next to him. "Getting a tan. Playing Sea Golf. Sippin a tuna colada!"

Sebastian jumped back into the water.

"Not babysittin anoter teenager!" Sebastian groaned as he sank into the water.

Several clams shut their shells as Sebastian landed on the ocean floor. He looked left and right before walking on, his search continued. The clams opened as they watched him go.

Sebastian walked over a rock and looked on towards the open waters. He sees a Dolphin swimming about with a twelve year old girl with long raven black hair, tied back in a ponytail, with a green hair tie, pretty pink lips and aqua blue eyes to match an angelic face that resembles her mother. This pre-teen was wearing white sleeveless camisole and a pair of matching pantalettes that reached a few inches below the knees. And she was barefoot so she could swim better and feel the warm sand below her feet. The girl also had a bag with the strap over her shoulder for collecting the many trinkets below the sea.

It was Melody, Ariel's daughter.

Sebastian gasped and smiled in relief and joy.

"Melody!" Sebastian called out to her with a raised claw. Melody just began swimming to the surface, not noticing Sebastian. Sebastian slowly lowered his claw as a look of irritation came to his face before he quickly swam after her.

Melody broke through the surface of the water with a content sigh. She then swam over to a nearby rock and climbed onto it and up to the top of it.

Melody looked out at the view of the ocean. As there was a palm tree on the rock next to her. Her whole life she felt free from her pretentious lavished royal lifestyle. But the little princess always sneaks under the wall, to escape out here, away from that lifestyle. To take in the beauty and endless possibilities of the ocean.

And the ocean captured her heart in a way that no one can describe.

And so the magic of Fantasia spoke Melody's heart for her, through her beautiful singing voice. The talent she acquired from her mother.

"I've been staring at the edge of the water~ 'Long as I can remember~Never really knowing why~" Melody sang beautifully with a longing expression before she looked back sadly at the castle. "I wish I could be the perfect daughter~ But I come back to the water~ No matter how hard I try~"

Then Melody began to walk down a path in her mind as her bare feet was stepping across that path. While singing.

"Every turn I take~ Every trail I track~ Every path I make~ Every road leads back~ To the place I know where I cannot go~ Where I long to be~" Melody sang as she looked to the left and saw a bridge leading to the ocean. Then she began running across the long bridge and started singing. "See the line where the sky meets the sea?~ It calls meeeeee~ And no one knoooooows!~ How far it goooooooes!~ If the wind in my hair on the sea stays behind me~ One day I'll knoooooow!~ If I go, there's just no telling how far I'll go~"

Melody jumped across the end of the bridge, over a gap before she landed on her feet in the middle of her castle. As she looked around at all the people who live and work there. Including her parents.

As she walked back them in her yellow royal dress and shoes as she danced around them like a proper Princess.

"I know everybody in this castle~ Seems so happy in this castle~ Everything is by design~" Melody sang as she went past the halls and sees his father and mother talking with the staff and rich nobles as she gave them a warm look before she was now walking across the streets of Denmark, walking town workers and little children playing in the streets and waving at Melody, as she waved back and continued singing. "I know everybody on this Kingdom~ Has a role in this Kingdom~ So maybe I can roll with mine~"

Then the area changed to Melody wearing her white underclothes again as she climbed up the top of the cliff with a drop of the ocean down below, like a place built for someone to dive down.

"I can walk with pride~ I can still stand strong~ I'll be satisfied if I play along~ But the voice inside sings a different song~ What is wrong with me?~" Melody sang passionately before she backed away and ran all the way to the edge of the cliff till she flew in the air.

The raven haired girl felt as though her heart was about to leap out of her chest. She felt free yet there was no time to enjoy this new-found freedom of hers as the water was closing in on her. The preteen managed to steady herself by clasping her hands together and keeping her bare feet up straight in a diving position. And soon enough, she plunged through the surface safely with no problem.

Then she continued singing as she swam through the ocean. And pass all the beautiful ocean life.

"See the light as it shines on the sea?~ It's blinding~But no one knooooows!~ How deep it gooooooes!~" Melody sang as she swam in loops like she was flying through the ocean without a care in the world as she sang. "And it seems like it's calling out to me~ So come find me~ And let me knooooow!~ What's beyond that line?~ Will I cross that line!?~"

Then Melody soon swam up to an area that was like small planets and a mix ot space and ocean as Melody swam through them and looped athletically with her bare feet stepping across those small glowing colorful planets like she was stepping over rocks.

"And the line where the sky meets the sea!~ It calls meeeeeeee!~ And no one knoooooooows!~ How far it gooooooooooes!~ If the wind in my hair on the sea stays behind meeeeeeeee!~ One day I'll knooooooooow!~ How far I'll gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!~" Melody sang the last line looking out while standing on the last planet she stepped on while singing to space and the sea. With her hand out and the wind blowing her hair.

And just like that the song was done.

"Achem?!"

Melody heard a voice say that pulled her mind and sight out of her imagination and the magic of Fantasia, as she looked back to see that she was still on the rock she started singing on.

And Sebastian was on the ground next to Scuttle who was perched on another rock.

The seagull had a friendly look while the crab looked unamused with his claws crossed in a condescending manner.

"Are you done?" Sebastian deadpanned sarcastically.

"Oh, hey, Scuttle. Hey, Sebastian. What's kickin'?" Melody asked, as if nothing just happened a moment ago.

"Uh, what's kickin'?" Scuttle said in thought. "Hmm. L-Let me see."

*Knock Knock Knock*

"Don't rush me." Scuttle said, waving a wing at her after knocking on his own head.

"Ha! You know perfectly well wat's kickin!" Sebastian said to Melody in irritation. "Now, come along. You gonna be late for da..."

*Splash!*

Melody jumped into the water, splashing Sebastian, making him cough as he spit out water.

Melody giggled with her hand to her mouth.

"Sorry, Sebastian." Melody said with an innocent face before smiling and swimming over to the rock Sebastian was on.

"Melody, child, how many times do I have to tell you?" Sebastian asked with exasperation and frustration in his voice.

"It is expressly forbidden for you to be swimmin..." Sebastian started saying with Melody mimicking him at the same time with a finger in the air. Sebastian noticed this, stopping him from talking while she continued.

"Beyond de safety of de sea wall. Any such swimmin' is a reckless disregard of da rules... don't ya know?" Melody mimicked in Sebastian's voice, finishing with a smirk.

Sebastian just looked at her with a blank deadpan look.

"Stop dat." Sebastian said in a blank tone, making Melody giggle.

"Oh, Sebastian, I can't help it. I just love the sea!" Melody exclaimed before catapulting off the rock and back into the water, splashing Sebastian again making him cough again.

"Hey! Come back here!" Sebastian called out to her, chasing her into the water, stopping on another rock.

"Yer just like..." Sebastian started, before taking on a nostalgic look. "like yer Moter."

Those words are so ironic. Sebastian sure feels like these days won't escape him. He can just hope it won't end in another disaster.

Melody just continued swimming on, exploring the ocean around her in wonder, swimming deeper into the ocean.

As Melody swam around the Area and enjoyed the ocean feeling. A calming and nice ocean. No problems whatsoever. For now at least. She peaks behind a column while upside down as a tiny orange and yellow stripe fish almost bumped into her.

"Hehehe. Hi Melody." The fish giggled and chirped before swimming away.

Melody seemed to have inherited her mother's ability to communicate to all life indigenous to the ocean without knowing why. But it's a gift to her and she never wanted to question something she enjoyed. Not all joy needs a reason when you're at that age.

Not that she ever asked. Melody just didn't care to keep asking.

With that said, Melody found a shell and placed it in her bag before swimming off to find more shells. Expertly holding her breath and raising up for air every now and then. To swim, collect shells and bump into her ocean friends.

As Melody was putting another shell she found into her bag, a dolphin swam up with another shell to give her. She looked it over, seeing that it was marble white like a pearl. Odd looking for a sea shell. But she gave the dolphin a thumbs up with a smile. Melody then opened her bag to let the dolphin put this peculiar shell in it for her. And the two swam in different directions.

After going up a few seconds for air. Melody was swimming by an undersea chasm. But she immediately turned back around and looked down into the chasm, squinting her eyes to see.

Due to her mermaid heritage, Melody's eyes are far superior than that of ordinary humans, allowing her to see through darkness and navigate in darker areas of the ocean. She is also able to withstand immense underwater pressures. And given that she has the blood of a mermaid in her blood, Melody is highly resistant to extreme temperatures to a certain degree.

Gifted without question.

At the bottom, something was shining. Melody smiled at a possible amazing find and began swimming down into the chasm, kicking her bare feet to swim like an expert. When she reached the bottom, she picked up the shining object and looked it over. A gold seashell covered in sand and dirt. It was the locket that was meant for her. But she doesn't know this yet.

But something tells Melody that she will soon.

Meanwhile in Meridia...

The shining advanced city of Meridia stood tall and proud. Advanced with buildings that fit in the fantasy of a futuristic white and silver city, under water. With sea life of every kind from across many planets. All under the grip of Attuma who provides them with a better life in exchange for order and their services to serve him and pledge allegiance to Attuma.

Meridia was water outside. But in some buildings, they had air in them for an optional atmosphere. For Meridians can breathe both water and air. And for the Temple of Calidum Lux. It where water and air were the same thing.

The Temple resembles a giant glass dome made up like a bubble with a beautiful grass field of beautiful flowers of many colors, some that weren't even from Earth and a lake inside.

The person who runs the temple is the Oracle of Light. Lunafreya.

Lunafreya had short blonde hair and dark blue eyes. She wore a white, short sleeve dress that went down to her knees. She had an anklet on her left ankle. But other than that, she was barefoot.

Inside the temple there was a small crowd of Meridian there to watch her heal an old man who was sitting in a chair. The old man didn't look well.

Lunafreya kindly approached the old man and gave a short bow of respect to an elder. She looked at the Old man's caretaker as she glanced softly asking for permission to take the old man's hands. Which was granted.

"Please. Place your heart at rest." Lunafreya softy said as she took the old man's hands. "I shall do what I can to ease your suffering."

The old man winced as his hands and face were covered in black marks.

"Lady...Lunafreya..." The old man struggled with pain as Lunafreya softly shushed him to comfort him.

Then Lunafreya's eyes closed as her hands were glowing as she held the man's hands. Which made the old man and everyone else stare in awe and wonder.

"Blessed stars of life and light. Deliver us from darkness' blight." Lunafreya chanted to the light that surrounds the Multiverse.

Then the old man's spots softened but were still there as he felt more relieved.

"Trust in the light. And the full relief will come to you in a matter of days." Lunafreya stated with a smile.

"It-it is a miracle." The old man choke with tears of joy. "The pain...The burnings are gone...Thank you! Oh bless you, Lady Lunafreya!"

Lunafreya smiled back as the caretaker was helping the old man out.

Just then. metallic metal footsteps were heard as the crowd gasped to see their king enter. Attuma. Walking up to Lunafreya with a grin on his face.

Lunafreya turned and offered a bow of respect.

As the crowd backed away to allow them to speak in private.

"Lord Attuma." Lunafreya greeted with respect.

"I must say. Your abilities to heal the sick continue to impress me." Attuma complimented her.

"I do not heal the sick, I simply call upon light within his heart to strengthen the will to live." Lunafreya stated as her hands were clasped together.

"Hm. Well. If you were perhaps and Oracle of Darkness. You could do so on your own will." Attuma stated as they walked together.

"Perhaps. But it would not be without a cost. No one can ever see after Darkness and not pay a price." Lunafreya responded.

"Unless others pay the price for you." Attuma declared.

"Is this why you let the Maverick and Submariner have Atlantis?" Lunafreya asked.

"I plan to have Atlantis back with interest. But for now, my focus is the other four Tridents. And Atlantis kept our resources and time on a stand still given that we sat in the center of fools to call himselfs heroes. With us being surrounded by so many enemies. We had no means to unleash our full potential to remake Atlantis in our image." Attuma gestured out to the city, and a statue of himself.

"You plan on connecting yourself to darkness to the darkness to gain the power of all Tridents." Lunafreya figured.

"Yes. For this power I've held for more than a decade. Has only made me stronger over the years. And I can now summon allies, and forces that our beyond the control of anyone who even thinks to wield a keyblade." Attuma smirked.

"I would advise that you don't rely too much on darkness. The light may be a tedious path. But it's guarantee ends on a sure path. And Darkness may be a simple path. But it consumes anyone who is without caution." Lunafreya warned as Attuma was leaving.

Attuma chuckled a bit as he looked back. "Your concern is appreciated, Child. But hardly necessary. The darkness is on my side. And with it, I will bring glory to all of Meridia." He stated before he left.

Lunafreya sighed as she felt uneasy about Attuma's intentions for the oceans across the Multiverse. She never approved of her King's methods. She had no means or place to judge or interfere.

So Lunafreya remains as an Oracle of Light, when the people need her.

As Attuma was walking out. Tiger Shark came up to him.

"Lord Attuma. We let the Mermen have our outpost North of Atlantica. Just like you told us." Tiger Shark reported.

"Good. They'll take it over and expand their borders. Making it easier for us to track their moments outside the city." Attuma stated. "Technology has always been the Achilles heel of those aquatic savages."

"Apparently your strategy worked. Our scouts detected a trace to a shard of an ancient artifact. It was collected by a human who lives near the mainland." Tiger Shark revealed.

"And what might this artifact be?" Attuma inquired.

"They believed it to be a remnant for the Pearl of Asarius." Tiger Shark answered. "But they haven't confirmed it yet."

Attuma looked interested and surprised to hear this while he remained composed as a ruler and dictator.

"Very well. Until my scouts return with said confirmation. Await my command." Attuma stated firmly. "In case it is a false lead, we shouldn't give away our presence to the population of that world."

"But Master. If they already know for sure. We shouldn't hesitate before our enemies-" Tiger Shark was about to deject.

"Sorry did I stutter?" Attuma turned and scowled at Tiger Shark.

"U'Uh...No my lord." Tiger Shark looked down nervously.

"Then quit groveling and do as I say. Await my command." Attuma ordered in a tone that left no argument.

And on that note. Tiger Shark groaned as Attuma left and he walked away grumbling about how his recent acts made him waste his potential.

"First we lose Atlantis and now this? All that darkness must've rotted in his IQ." Tiger Shark mumbled in frustration for his King's decisions.

Back Over in Denmark... At Melody's relaxing place...

Melody had gotten back from collecting sea shells underwater. While finding an unusual golden shell covered in sea rough moss. She tried clearing it but it was too hard to clear.

She was more focused on the shell than listening to Sebastian's warning.

"Melody please. If yer Moter ever found out you've been out here-" Sebastian tried to say anxiously.

"I know I know. She'd flip." Melody responded to a worried Sebastian as she dived back into the water.

Sebastian just stood there feeling hopeless to make Melody see his reason. While Scuttle took an earlier statement literally. Because he's an idiot with a good heart.

But still an idiot.

"I had a thought here. Now where'd it go?" Scuttle asked himself as he picked up a rock to look under where the rock was.

While Melody swam on her back looking up in thought as she looked out at the ocean.

"Hey, Sebastian? What's my mom got against the ocean anyway?" Melody asked as she leaned up on a rock, gazing at the sun sets at the ocean. "I mean. How could there be anything wrong with something so...Wonderful?"

Sebastian thought about saying why. But he just shrugged in response knowing this secret was paramount.

Then Melody giggled at a thought that came to her mind. A little secret of her own as she swam over to Sebastian.

"You know what? Sometimes I even pretend..." Melody leaned to Sebastian who seemed interested to hear. "I have...Fins!"

Sebastian looked horrified as he fell backwards in response after she swam off again.

And then. All of a sudden. Bright lights flashed off of a small island a short swim away at the distance. And it got Melody's attention.

Melody leaned over a rock in the water and looked towards the island in wonder at the light show.

"Whoa..." Melody breathed out at the sight. "What's with the flashing lights?"

Sebastian looked curious as well but he shook his head from the thought knowing Melody needed to get back home soon birthday party.

"No idea but dat's not important we need to..." Sebastian tried to say but when he turned around and noticed Melody was gone, he deadpanned. "She's don swam off again did she?"

"Who?" Scuttle asked while he was still looking around.

"Melody." Sebastian groaned.

"Who's Melony?" Scuttle looked confused not recognizing Sebastian's accent. Clearly being an idiot.

"Three two one. One two three. Wat de heck is bothering me?" Sebastian said it as he tries to calm down and not strangle scuttle.

Meanwhile down at the island safe house...

Melody swam up to the island and stepped onto the beach. Then she heard the noise of something sounding like strings with metal. And explosions that resembled fireworks.

Melody quirked her eyebrows as her bare feet stepped across the sand and onto the grass as she stepped across a path past a few trees, rocks and palm trees towards where the noises were coming from.

Then she heard something that sounded like music. But not any kind she had heard before. It sounded modern. Not that she would know what that word means in perspective.

But the music got louder as she got closer.

(My Time - Lecrae)

Shoulda known from the beginnin'

I was put on Earth to win it

Wanna tango where we livin'?

Anyway you try to spin it (yeah, yeah)

Heroes lookin' at me in the mirror

Couldn't tell but now I see it clear

Got the confidence to make the moments matter

Even after all the interference

Then Melody got a good view of an open area in the island and she hid behind bushes when she saw different types of predators from the sea like sharks. Swiming in the air and different other predators of sea monsters. Squids and monstrous creatures of the likes she had never seen. A part of her was scared at first. But all fear left when she saw them flicker like lights from a candle.

I think I'm destined to win it

They playin' games, I ain't in it (yeah, yeah)

I took the message and sent it

Feel like I was born for this minute

Then Melody saw the Maverick himself sliding across the sky on rails made of lights. Performing tricks and air moves of perfect athletics.

The Maverick then jumped in the air and did several somersaults in the air before landing on the ground on one knee before quickly rising up as if he never fell from such a high distance.

"Oh my gosh..." Melody whispered in awe at his splendor, causing her to fall on her butt as she watched him. "He's like a magic Knight."

This is my time

I'm seizin' the moment 'cause I gotta go 'fore the time's gone

Ain't scared of the dark 'cause I'm bringin' the light when the night's long

I shine on

See it comin', I don't need a sign (yeah)

This the moment, I'ma make it mine (yeah, yeah)

This is my time (it's my time, yeah)

My time, my time now (it's is my time, it's my time, yeah)

My time, my time (it's is my time)

Then Maverick jumped high in the air and twirling and flipping off of palm trees before he launched himself higher. Black flipped as he shot down four of the holo-targets and landed on one knee causing a wave of water and neon to wash over all holographic targets. Wiping out all targets.

***Boom!***

Then Maverick stood up and took a deep breathe before he looked around. Held his hands up acting impressed until he realized.

"Crap. I forgot to set the score board." Maverick groaned. "Real smooth Mav. Real smooth."

Then he shifted back into Connor who was wearing an orange tank top and green beach shorts and green flip-flops. Thus concluding his training for now. So he could catch his breath back at his beach shack.

Not knowing that he was being watched by Melody from the bushes.

Melody, who was now on her knees behind the bush, looked at Connor, and the awe on her face began to become dreamy with a smile on her face as she looked at him, from his interesting clothes to his handsome face and the muscles that were visible.

"Wow, he's so..." Melody tried to find her words as she observed Connor. "Handsome."

Connor froze for a moment due to his super hearing. Then he looked over at Melody's direction.

'Okay just stay still Melody...He probably can't see you.' Melody thought to herself.

"I can see you!" Connor called over to Melody.

"Eak!" Melody squealed loudly at that and jumped up from the bushes only to slip backwards and land on her back and says in a defeated tone. "He can see me."

"It's okay, come on out, I'm not gonna hurt you." Connor walked over and gestured for Melody to come out of the bushes. "Don't worry you're not in trouble, I'm just your friendly neighborhood total stranger. Not your Nanny."

Melody was nervous, not knowing what to do. But she concluded that if this stranger wanted to hurt her, he could have done so by now. So taking a deep breath, she lifted herself off her back and onto her knees before crawling out of the bush. When she was out, she looked up nervously at Connor.

"Um... Hi." Melody said timidly with a small wave with her right hand before nervously brushing a strand of hair from her face.

Meanwhile, Connor looked down and observed Melody with slightly widened eyes, taking in her appearance.

She was a young girl two years younger than him. her beautiful raven ponytail style hair which was wet and had a little sand in it from the ocean. The white underclothes that were also wet, and that she was bare foot. It's like he was taking notes of what looked good about her

All in all, Connor thought she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.

Connor cleared his head and decided to greet her back.

"Hey there. I gotta ask. How much did you see?" Connor asked with a nervous grin.

"um... Not much. I just saw a flash and when I looked, you were standing there." Melody said nervously while looking at her hands resting on her lap, lying to hopefully cover her slightly stalker-ish behavior. Unfortunately, what she didn't know was that she was speaking to a living lie detector.

"Right. And by that you mean You came in, hid and saw me as I was in the armor, popping a bunch of fake goldfish thugs full of daylight and saw me claim the skies and I won the Olympics of bad asses without a scoreboard to prove it." Connor smirked with his arms crossed.

Which made Melody gulp and giggle nervously since he described everything she saw in detail.

"I have a vegan baloney dictator." Connor added with a wink meaning he knows.

Melody blushed at his wink and giggled nervously.

"Sorry. I guess I let my curiosity get the better of me." Melody said with a nervous smile while scratching the back of her head and rubbing her bare feet together behind her. All of this made her look even cuter in the young Maverick's eyes. "I thought you were quite dashing."

"Pff! That's nothing. You should see me when I'm really in action and kicking the crap out of ugly mofos and subscribers of TMZ." Connor waved it off acting modest before he walked up and asked her. "So what brings you out here? And I don't mean to stalk on superpowered hunks. But I mean 'out here' in the middle of the ocean."

"Oh. I was just out for a swim. I really adore the ocean." Melody said, beaming with such a bright smile, happy to talk about her favorite topic. "I just feel so free, exploring the vast waters. It's so beautiful."

"Yeah, who doesn't love the ocean? It's like Holy-Water. Cause they boiled the hell out of it...Yeah that sounded way better in my head. I used to tell good swimming jokes but I think they were too watered-down." Connor quipped as a means to show he's friendly and has a positive atmosphere to be around.

Melody could only break into a fit of giggles from where she was kneeling on the ground. The sound sent butterflies into Connor's stomach.

"Oh my gosh! That was so terrible, it sounded like you just washed up." Melody quipped back, trying to be funny back.

"More like I washed out and sucked at comedy class. But I'm much better when I'm wearing the suit." Connor mused as he teleported closer to Melody and offered her his hand to help her stand up. "The name's Maverick. Call me Mav."

Melody blushed before taking his hand and pulled herself up onto her feet.

"Nice to meet you." Melody giggled, her hand still in the young Maverick's. "I'm Melody."

Connor playfully scoffed. "Melody? You looked more like a 'Sarah' or 'Chloe' to me. Were your folks Mozart fans or something?" Connor remarked and quickly corrected himself. "Sorry, that was a douchey comment. It's a nice name, really."

"Oh really funny. And what kind of name is Maverick?" Melody snarked with a playful smile on her face, not taking any offense.

At first Connor was going to jest back while telling Melody his real name is. But he decided it's best to save that for later. Like a real pro at impressing the ladies by adding a mystery.

"Blame the parents." Connor deadpanned about his 'keyblader' name.

He figured since the party doesn't start for another hour. Connor would like to stick around and chat with Melody a little more.

"I was just out here practicing with my powers. Yes I said powers." Connor smirked as he shifted back into the Maverick and added with an epic trailer voice. "Comes with the territory." He gestured himself in the suit

Then he shifted back into Connor.

"My shack is up near the beach. Come on, I make one helluva tropical smoothie." Connor gestured for Melody to come walk with him.

"Absolutely!" Melody beamed with a slight blush and came up and took his hand again without thinking, making them both blush a dark red before Melody let go of his hand. "Sorry."

Connor didn't feel nervous or embarrassed for Melody taking his hand. He thought she was super cute to resist the right steps.

"Never apologize for being friendly." Connor grinned as he started walking with her. "I bet you have other questions, like where did I come from and how I got these powers right?"

He decided to resume a conversation.

"Well, now that you mentioned it, I would like to know a bit more about you." Melody said shyly as she walked with her hands behind her back. "I mean, if that's okay with you."

"I don't see why not. My golden dream is to become a chick magnet. And a badass chef." Connor remarked, sounding charming and witty. "I'm pretty sure I can kill two birds with one stone."

Melody just giggled at his antics, finding it funny, in a good way.

"Then by all means, lead the way. 'Chick Magnet'." Melody said, saying chick magnet in a mocking tone before breaking down into a fit of giggles.

Connor playfully rolled his eyes. "Oh hush up. How do you know I'm not a total stranger with a white ship about to abduct some rebellious tweens?" He mused.

Melody smirked back with an eyebrow raised. "Well. How do you know I'm not some prima donna succubus, here to seduce young wild and reckless boys?" She jested back.

"Touche." Connor gave a playful pout in response.

Melody giggled as she thought Connor was cute and yet again even more handsome than before.

"Alright. Here's my setup." Connor gestured as they stepped onto the beach. With a nice view of the town and Melody's castle.

What he gestured to was a cozy looking shack on the shack was a light blue with a white roof and a large retractable sliding door that was open. The wooden patio was able to fit a cushioned wicker chair and cushioned wicker couch, and a large cushioned foot rest between the two furniture.

"Nice place you have here." Melody said as they walked towards the patio. "You live here by yourself?"

"No not exactly. I'm only here for a secret mission, and it doesn't start until later this evening. And I like being comfortable while I kill some time." Connor explained as he got up the bar inside the shack and took out some different tropical fruits like guava, mangos star fruits, limes, bananas, strawberries, and a cold container of raspberries sherbet.

"A secret mission huh?" Melody said, sitting down on the couch and propping her bare feet on the footrest. "Are you allowed to tell me this? Or are you going to have to kill me when you're done?"

Melody asked this with such a giggly angelic voice, it made Connor's heart skyrocket, not that he would let on so easily.

"Damn. Aren't you just a tall glass of 'considerate'. Remind me to pick the right weapon that doesn't cause too much pain." Connor joked about killing her and snickered a bit. "I kid. No I'm not gonna kill you. I have a 'no kill' rule. It's not a secret from you, it's more like the folks that may or may not show up later. I'm just being prepared for all possibilities. Like my Uncle would say. 'The possibilities are endless, but I just want the good ones'...He didn't really say that."

Connor spoke while he was chopping up fruit with a knife.

"Wow, you really like to talk don't ya?" Melody chuckled, wiggling her feet slightly on the footrest. "So if you are okay telling me, what's this big, scary secret mission you have to undertake?"

Connor decided to remain discreet where he could. He got a good sense who this girl was. But he decided to remain on the mysterious side to not blow his cover. Which was another reason why he didn't give his name yet.

"Well my superiors didn't tell me. If anything they told me I'll know it when I see it. Whatever the hell that means?" Connor snickered as he placed all the chopped up fruit in a neon blender and then started scooping up some sherbet to put inside.

"So you have a secret mission, and you don't know anything about what you need to do?" Melody asked, a raised eyebrow at the thought. "Quite the secret agent you are. Is there anything you do know that you can tell me?"

"Well. I can tell you this. Whatever it is. Kill a spider or save the governor. It's nothing that a keyblade won't solve." Connor remarked as he cleaned the surface of the bar of access fruit.

"A keyblade?" Melody asked, confused. "What's that?"

Connor held his left hand out and summoned his keyblade. A black metallic blade with blue and green neon lights flowing down like circuits on the blade and it glimmered on the sun. The key shaped end spoke loud about what it was.

That's how he answered her.

Connor made it spin in his hand which made a cool dimensional wave sound.

"Woah!" Melody exclaimed loudly, surprise on her face as she sat up slightly and looked at the weapon in his hand in awe. She thought 'It looks like a giant key. But in a really cool way.'

"Oh that's just a snack. Here's one of the main courses." Connor smirked as he teleported in front of her on the sand for some space.

Then he caused his keyblade to shift and extend into a five pointed trident on the other end. Then he flipped in it and made it stand on its key end while holding it. Posing like the Submariner himself.

"Oh my... Now that is amazing!" Melody said as she stood up to look closer. "It almost looks like a Trident."

"Is that what it's called? Damn...And I kept calling it a pitch fork, a metal spork and a naked ka-bob." Connor inquired looking at the trident in his hand before shifting it back into a keyblade and shifting into the Maverick form.

Then he teleported on the top of the second lounge. Perched on the top.

"Still that's business. All part of the hero gig." Maverick remarked.

"hero gig?" Melody asked curiously.

Maverick then teleported next to Melody and gestured. "But not just any old hero Miranda!" He stated.

"It's Melody." Melody corrected.

"Madison." Maverick nodded before he teleported back over in the sand and summoned a water wave off neon and used it to hover in the air like a god. What he does next both startled and amazed Melody.

"I am. The Guardian of the Depths! The Watcher of Light! The Champion of The Unknown! Master of Neon!" Maverick spoke in a deep echoing voice. "And the Defender of...Pretty much everyone and anyone you can think of. And I do it for free because my currency is action." He winked while saying that last part in his normal Maverick voice.

"Woah...Um...So you're someone bigger than a hero?" Melody asked as she was trying to understand the Maverick gig.

"I can tell you need a synopsis. So I'll just give it to you straight. But first. I need a band." Maverick mused as he held his hands out and projected a faceless music band on the beach. A set of drums with a drummer. A trumpet player and dancer with maracas. And other means to make it sound like a hip-hop jazz band.

Than the magic of Fantasia worked with Maverick's magic and talents.

As the music started. Everything around the island started to glow and illuminate in different colors. Mostly blue and green.

"Here I go!~ Uh, ooh, woo!~" Maverick started dancing around the band. And the music began to pick up.

Sebastian managed to crawl up the beach after concluding a long and unneeded conversation with Scuttle.

"Whew...Finally." Sebastian sighed and looked around in confusion. "What da..."

"Back up! Uh-oh! Watch out! Uh!~" Maverick sang as one of the horn players blew so loud and hard. That a wave blew hard into Sebastian, Sending the crab miles out into the ocean.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" Sebastian screamed as he was falling miles into the water.

Then Maverick was dancing. He expanded and grew large in front of Melody. "You done wound me up!~ 'Bout to show you what I'm workin' with, uh~"

Then Maverick bent down to Melody's height while he was a giant. Then the song began.

"Well Cap'n Rogers, had them Avengers~ And Doctor Richey's Fantastic Four~" Maverick sang as he projected a group of New York thugs surrounding Melody with pipes and other weapons as they slowly approached her.

"But, Missy, you're in luck because up your street, You got a magic like never before~" Maverick sang as he came zooming around giving them a one thrust punch.

Knocking them all out as Melody spun from the wind. "Woah!" She yelped as she was now standing on a rooftop with a neon day sky.

Then Maverick zoomed over and stood with a white cape and hood on the edge posing like Moon Night.

"You got some power in your corner cause~ Heavy ammunition is my game~" Maverick stated as he flexed the cape off and stood with a mini gun and a skull t-shirt

Then a neon projections of Chitauri troops came running towards them as Maverick gunned them down with bullets and punches while matching the music beats

"You got some punch, pizazz, yahoo, and how?~" Maverick sang as he teleported, kicking several down and snapping the neck of the last one before projecting a Mav signal. "All you gotta do is call my name~ And then I'll say~"

He then switched the signal on to show the large M symbol in the sky.

Then everything changed to Melody being tied to a giant rocket about to be blown into the sky as she looked afraid as the stim was shrinking next to her and she tried to blow it out.

Then Maverick appeared next to her.

"Mrs- Man, what's your name? Whatever~" Maverick sang acting like he forgot her name before he waved it off and acted smooth as he pinched the tip of the stim putting it out much to Melody's relief. "What will your troubles be?~"

Maverick then pulled the ropes off and picked Melody up bridal style before flying in the sky.

"Let me take your ordeals, I'll bog it down~ You ain't never had a friend like me!~" Maverick sang in a rap jazz style. And Melody beamed at the lyrics as she clinged to him with a smile on her face.

Then the background changed to Melody sitting in the front seat of a fancy blue Citroen GT in the middle of a traffic filled highway as she looked around amazed and confused. And because it's a French car. Maverick resumed singing and rapping in a French accent.

"Life is your highway~ And I'm your guarantee~" Maverick sang as the car itself much to Melody's surprise as he tiptoed around the traffic quickly as the car with Melody safely trapped in front. While she was gripping the seat arms.

"Come, whisper to me whatever it is you need~" Maverick rapped quietly from the car radio before the car landed up in front of the traffic and all drivers who were all Maverick quickly stood out and pointed at Melody while singing as a group. "YOU AIN'T NEVER HAD A FRIEND LIKE ME!~"

Then the scene changed as a group of Mavericks as army men doing a march to the music. "We pride ourselves on duty~" They rapped.

Then a Maverick in a general suit zoomed over to who appeared Melody on a throne looking perplexed and a big smile at the music. "You the boss, the queen, dronning!" He declared while shaking the throne.

Then Melody fell through the seat somehow like a rabbit hole. "Woooah!" She yelped.

Then she landed on a large pillow in the middle of a cartoon desert. As Maverick helped her to her feet as he kept the song going. While holding a stick of dynamite in his hand.

"Say what you deal, and ka-blam!~ For real?" Maverick rapped as the dynamite blew up in his face looking wielded out before he shook the ashes off and continued demonstrating his ring. "Cause I got it all up my riiiiiiiing!~"

As Maverick shot a neon beam that created a slide under Melody's bare feet causing her to trip and slide down.

"WOOOOOOOOOOO!" Melody cheered as she was sliding down a room full of trippy colors.

"If it's a code blue!~ Or a code 21103~" Maverick rapped and projected the titles Melody passed by on the fun slide.

"Huh?" Melody inquired.

"Don't ask." Maverick muttered as he appeared sliding next to her.

Then they both landed in front of a ball pit before everything shifted into a dancing stage.

"Then I'll poof in a whirl to help ya, girl~" Maverick declared before he brought her over in the middle with puppet strings tied to her legs and wrists as he guided her steps. "You ain't never had a friend like meeeee~" Maverick's voice echoed deeply like a cool remix.

Then a big hand belonging to Maverick was guiding Melody above her by the strings, showing her how to dance.

"Whoa! Ah! Hey!" Melody yelped and shrieked a bit as she was being yanked. But she went with it as her moves matched the music from Maverick's big hand guiding her. Along with a dance group of Mavericks spanning over other joint stages among a blue fog and lighting.

"Oh! Uh!~ It's the big part, watch out~ It's the big part, oh~" Maverick rapped as he was complementing Melody's sweet dance moves being guided against her will. Not that Melody mind.

She thought all of this was fun.

"Can your friends do this?~" Maverick gestured, spinning his trident in front like a helicopter blades.

"Can your friends do that?!~" Maverick mused as he was swinging a neon rope doing awesome rope tricks in the dance.

"Can your friends pull this?~ Out their little hat?~" Maverick sang as he pulled a circle out of a hat and expanded it into a bigger stage circle.

"Can your friends go?~" Maverick started beatboxing with a rap group of himself with a remix in the background. Then Melody was being guided by a neon field making her dance like a girl doing the funk.

As Maverick stood next to Melody and danced with her. Her bare feet matching his metal shoes.

"I'm the Maverick, and in advance~ I can sing, rap, dance, if you give me a chance.~ OH!~" Maverick rapped before he ran around in a stream of light leaving flashes of silhouettes of himself before Melody fell backwards on a couch next to Maverick.

"So don't you sit there slack jawed, buggy-eyed~ I'm here to answer all your midnight prayers~" Maverick rapped as a choir of Mavericks echoed behind them as they popped up and left. Then he pulled up a long contract and continued rapping. "You got me bona fide, certified~ You got a Maverick for your charge d'affaires~"

Then Maverick sweap and rapped the long contract around Melody causing her to spin up.

And then the change to Melody having her hands tied behind her back to a pole and a cloth gag around her mouth. She looked troubled and araid while their were bombs ticking around her ready to detonate.

"I got a powerful urge to help you out~ So what's your deal? I really wanna know~" Maverick rapped as he came in and tossed all the bombs out the window and ripped the ropes and gag off freeing Melody as she stood up looking grateful with a smile.

"You got difficulties, three miles long? No doubt~ All you gotta do is call like SOOOOO!~" Maverick sang as he jumped out the window with Melody reaching for him.

Then the scene changed with Maverick and Melody standing back in the middle of the island with the music still going.

"Mrs~" Maverick pondered.

"Melody~" Melody smiled.

"YES!~ Having troubles bout two or three?~ Well, I'm on the job, For a big nutjob!~" Maverick sang as he teleported and danced around her.

Then a large group of Mavericks danced around her as the main one danced next to her. With the sand below her bare feet became dance platforms expanding.

Then the finale began.

"You ain't never had a friend, never had a friend!~" Maverick rapped while dancing with her. "You ain't never had a friend, never had a friend!~"

Then Maverick and Melody took turns leaping and landing down the steps of platforms to the bottom spotlights.

"You ain't never~" Maverick rapped as the echo of his voice repeated him (never!)

"Had a~" Maverick built up with each leap while Melody took the next one. (had a)

"Friend!~" Maverick kept going. (friend)

"Like!~" Maverick rapped a build up at the height as he and Melody landed in the spotlight. (like)

"MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!~" Maverick sang loudly as he and Melody danced in front of a neon castle with fireworks and neon dancers.

Even neon dolphins flipping in the air with giant dancing fish and seagulls dancing in the sky.

Then Maverick launched in the sky as he was landing in for a touchdown.

"YOU AIN'T NEVER HAD A FRIEND LIKE ME!~" Maverick rapped as he touched down with a puff of neon smoke ending the song.

Then they reappeared where they were standing before the song started. As Maverick stood in a pose with his arms crossed and a grin with a flashing neon sign that read 'Nuff Said'.

Melody giggled and laughed as she clapped, slightly jumping up and down in place on her bare feet in excitement, a huge cute smile on her face.

"That was amazing!" Melody sqealed in excitement. "That was by far, the most exciting spectacle I have ever seen. You really are a hero!"

"Like I said. It comes with the territory. And..." Connor shifted his keyblade into a shotgun. Then two pistols. Then two keyblades. And then one keyblade. "Plus I can make my keyblade look like whatever." He smirked.

Then he teleported back over to the blender and started it up while using a neon bubble to block the noises.

"I can also use it to cast spells for attacks like fire. Ice. Thunder. Water, you name it." Connor added.

"Do you know any spells for air?" Melody asked with excitement evident on her face.

"I believe so. Why the interest in the dry spells? Figured you'd be more interested in the wet spells" Connor asked with a quip.

"Because if I could learn air spells, I could maybe create a bubble of air around my head, I could stay under water for even longer." Melody said while sitting back down and putting her bare feet back on the footrest. "I've always been able to hold my breath underwater for long periods of time. But even still, I would eventually have to come up for air. With an air bubble, I could stay under for double, maybe quadruple my usual time. So much ocean to explore. Yet so little time to do so."

Connor nodded in understanding. And yet Melody had such inspiring passion for aquamarine life. Considering he comes from the sea himself back where he comes from, he can kinda relate to her interest.

But he kept it cool by not revealing that.

"It makes sense. But I think I can arrange that for you." Connor smiled as he held his hand out and conjured up a round neon orb on the table in front of Melody. The kind you can see through.

"Ohโ€ฆ.Cool." Melody said as she sat up to reach forward and picked up the orb in her hands. "What is this?"

It's an indestructible air bubble. It converts the oxygen from the water into air for the interior. Place it over your head." Connor explained and instructed with a grin.

Melody did so as her head slipped right into it like a strong bubble. And she wore it like a space helmet. And she was breathing normally.

"Can you hear me? Can you breathe?" Connor asked out of concern.

"Uh huh." Melody nodded, becoming intrigued with the slight changes of color on its sides. But she had a clear view in front. Like a car window.

"Good. As long as you wear that. You can breathe underwater." Connor winked with a smirk.

"Are you... Are you serious?!" Melody asked shocked as she removed the bubble and sat it down on the table. When he nodded his head, Melody squealed in joy and lunged towards him, wrapping her arms around his neck, standing on her tiptoes as she hugged him tight. "Thank you! Thank so much!"

"Woah!" Connor stumbled a bit but chuckled as he gave her a light hug back. "No problem. It's what I do."

Then they concluded the hug with Melody blushing realizing what she did before Connor teleported over and poured two coconut cups of smoothies and gave one cup to Melody and he took one.

Then he plopped on one side of the couch and Melody smiled gleefully and sat next to him.

"To the deep blue." Connor offered a toast to her with his coconut cup.

"To the Deep Blue." Melody said back smiling and tapping her coconut cup against his before they both began drinking their smoothies.

Melody closed her eyes and leaned back in contentment. Not just because her smoothie tasted amazing. But it felt good to be around someone like Connor.

After they swallowed their drink. Connor made a remark that reminded Melody that she was supposed to be somewhere in twenty minutes.

"Think of it as an early birthday gift." Connor remarked. Not knowing that today is her birthday.

"Thanks. Actually today is my birth...day" Melody started but paused as she remembered something important, causing her to gasp and shoot straight up from her seat. "OH NO! I FORGOT ABOUT THE PARTY!"

"What party?" Connor looked confused and concerned. "And where?"

"My birthday party! It's back atโ€ฆ.." Melody started but paused, worried about his reaction. But continued anyway, "At the castle."

"The castle? You mean the one across the water with walls built like fort Knox?" Connor quipped before he came to a realization. "You're a runaway Princess aren't you?"

This made Melody very nervous, because she didn't want to be treated differently because of her royal status. She looked down at her fidgeting feet before responding.

"Wellโ€ฆ.Yeah but I'm not really running away.I just come out here to escape from time to timeโ€ฆ.Honest." Melody whispered that last word, not meeting his eyes as she looked down at her bare feet.

"So you sneak out from the wall every day or so to take a dip in the deep blue?" Connor inquired with his arms crossed. "Not giving a damn about being formal and affecting your public status? Let alone making your parents possibly worry?"

"Y-yeah..." Melody muttered cringing at whatever comes next.

"That...Is...Bad ass! Awesome! It's bad assome!" Connor beamed at how spectacular that sounds.

Connor has a thing for girls who don't follow the rules. Given that he's an independent keyblader. He now likes Melody even more so.

Her head shot up, surprise in her eyes. This caught Melody off guard, expecting a different reaction to what she just got.

"You mean... You don't disapprove of what I'm doing. You don't care that I'm a princess acting so, un-princess like?" Melody stuttered out in surprise, with hope in her voice that she didn't just ruin her new friendship.

He snickered and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Mel. Ma'am. Your highness. Boobwa...'Princess' should be just a title. Not a personality or a code of conduct. Anyone who says otherwise. Tell em to 'bite me'...Except for your parents. Don't say that to them. I did it to mine and ended up sitting on a ruby for six weeks." Connor quipped an explanation of how he accepts her for who she is.

This caused Melody's eyes to widen and smile greatly. She wrapped her arms around Connor's neck again, catching him off guard.

"Th-thank you... For seeing me for me... Not just Princess Melody." Melody breathed in relief into his chest. Her sudden fear of losing her new friend was now gone.

Connor felt like he struck his nerve before he looked concerned and placed his hands on her back like a light hug.

"Wow. Did I just strike a nerve?" Connor asked while wondering.

Melody finished the hug before she smiled up at him with her beautiful eyes.

"Yeah. You did. Sorry." Melody whispered meekly.

Connor smiled as he handed Melody her air bubble.

"It's alright. With that said. I'd rather not be arrested for kidnapping and stalling you. Soooo..." Connor mused as he stood up and caused the neon beach shack to fade away and everything in it. Then he shifted his attire into his keyblader outfit right before her eyes.

And boy did his keyblader outfit look amazing in Melody's eyes.

"Woah... How did?" Melody tried to ask as she was amazed.

"Hang on tight." Connor smirked as he placed his arm around her middle back and legs and picked Melody up bridal style.

"Oh! Um... Okay..." Melody stuttered out, her face all red as she wrapped her arms around his neck trying to prepare herself for what would happen next.

Connor smiled as she made sure her air helmet was on as well.

"Since you killed time with the Mav Man." Connor mused . "Let's swim in style."

"What do you mean by- WOAH!" Melody yelped as Connor dove into the water while carrying her. Melody kept her arms around Connor as he used the water waves to make him fly across the ocean. passed Sebastian who was swimming back over to the island.

"AAEI!" Sebastian shrieked in fear as the waves went past him at high speed. "Wat was dat?!"

Connor was swimming around the water like he was flying through it like a water tunnel forming around them. Almost like a dimensional water slide. From the few of how fast Connor was swimming with Melody in her arms. Using the water like jet engines at his feet. The view from in his arms and speed was breathtaking.

Melody looked on around her in wonder as they sped through the water.

"Oh my Gosh... This is so Awesome!" Melody cried out in excitement as they sped along. "WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!"

Zooming at the castle...

Connor then made it in one minute to the wall of Melody's Castle and ran up the wall using his neon scaling abilities. Then he jumped over the wall and landed on the roof of the castle. Melody enjoyed the ride while she hung onto Connor.

"I'll send the bill to your landlord. Now where do I drop off the fancy package?" Connor asked, wondering where Melody's room was.

"Down there." Melody giggled and pointed to the balcony of her bedroom.

Then Connor hovered using his neon hover ability to glide across the castle and landing on Melody's balcony.

"There you go." Connor let's Melody stand now that she was home. "Don't worry about paying me. I don't charge ladies. That and I don't have any pockets. They'll crease the suit."

Melody giggled before she had an idea that made her blush.

"That's okay. But this lady can't let you leave without proper payment. So..." Melody stood on her toes and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you."

Connor blushed a little from the kiss and smiled back.

"No problem." He responded while staring at how beautiful her eyes were and how her smooth face glowed. Then his thoughts shook before he got ready to leave.

"I better go before my assignment starts. By that I mean graveyard shift. And by that I mean-" Connor tried to say.

"Super secret mission?" Melody smirked with her arms crossed.

"That too." Connor winked before he turned and got on the balcony rails.

"W-wait!" Melody held her hand out to stop him before he left. Connor turned to face her. "Will I...Maybe...See you around?" She asked timidly.

She really liked Connor. Almost like a crush. Maybe it is.

Connor grinned and shifted into Maverick.

"I'm always around." Maverick winked. "Happy Birthday Mel."

Then Maverick stood one the rail. Clicked his tongue while pointing at her before he held his arms out and fell backwards off the balcony. Melody gasped and ran over to look down. But Maverick was gone all of a sudden.

"WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!"

Melody heard as she looked up to see the Maverick sliding across the sky on streams of neon. Looking majestic in his awesome suit as he disappeared across the evening clouds.

Melody watched in awe as Maverick rode off in the sky. When she could longer see him, she turned around and held her hand to her chest where her heart was, and smiled with a blush.

"See you around, Maverick." Melody whispered with a smile. And she giggled before happily skipping on her bare feet into her room, ready to prepare for her party.

Today Melody's birthday could get any better today. No matter what or how the party turns out tonight. Nothing compares to meeting someone like the Maverick. She may not know his real name yet. But the pre-teen Princess knew in her heart, that he is definitely someone to trust. Someone to call a friend. And possiblyโ€ฆ..

Somebody to love.

THAT'S ALL FOR NOW FOLKS!

To give you all a hint for what comes next. What is always the first action sequence a Maverick always does in his first story? ๐Ÿ˜‰

With that said. This movie won't drag an unnecessary secret for too long. Melody will soon understand what happened and why without any repercussions.

Also for those of you that were possibly a fan of the film 'Ariel's Big Beginning'. Another Disney Direct film that I never saw. I'm so sorry for killing off Attina. But you gotta admit. It's a catalyst for why Melody was separated from the ocean and why that wall was built.

In this story. It wasn't just Ariel's choice to shut Melody away from Atlantica. It was also King Triton's decision as well.

But rest assured. Everything will be resolved soon.

Thank you all so much for reading! Be sure to add this to your fave and follows if you like what you see! Let me also know, what did you think of me adding Lunafreya in this story?!

And don't forget to leave a comment and a review to let me know your thoughts!

And as always Disney/Square Enix fans!
