Centurions Practice Facility

Toro Torres Interview

Todd Adamsom of the Centurions has been watching Toro Torres as he worked out, having been invited for a private workout at team's practice facilities in Grove City. He had to admit, Toro is a dedicated man and he was trying to impress them. There was still some questions he wanted to ask the young man.

Todd began to walk towards him, ready to ask him questions to evaluate him for possible drafting him in the first round. He turned his head to see Centurions owner Angela Wagner watching the workout herself, interested in seeing the possible star of their fledgling franchise. She noticed Todd looking over his shoulder at her, which she nodded curtly at him, which he returned.

As soon as he reach Toro, the tall, well built Mexican-American man took a big gulp of water from a water bottle. When he saw Todd, he gave him a big smile.

"Hello there Toro, I'm Todd Adamsom, Centurions General Manager. You look good out there, which bring me to why I'm here," Todd said to the linebacker, "Mind if I ask you some questions?"

"Sure thing jefe," Toro said in a friendly tone.

"Alright, first one, what do you think about getting drafted in the newly formed Division Four, it's considered the new 'Scrub League' and some think it's not worth being drafted into it," Todd questioned.

"We all got to start somewhere," Toro said honestly, "Don't get me wrong, everybody wants to be drafted into a Division One team so they get a chance to win the big championship but you don't get everything you want, I'll be happy regardless who drafts me."

"Okay, for the second question, are you ready to step up and lead our defense when the time comes," Todd asked "We might not get a respected veteran for a leadership position."

Toro pondered that question for a few moments before looking up at Todd.

"I'll try my very best if that's the case," He answered, "Can't guarantee anything though, it will be my first season and I could get very nervous about having that kind of responsibly but I will try my very best."

"Thanks for the answers Toro, we'll be in touch," Todd said with a smile, the two shook hands.

As Todd walked away, a few moments later, his phone text notification went off and he pulled it out, knowing it was Angela.

"Thoughts?" It said.

Todd typed in his response very quickly.

"Definitely the guy we should draft number one."

One Week Later, Joshua Fremont Interview

Yet again, Todd was watching another potential draft pick workout, this time it was Wide Receiver Joshua Fremont. Todd walked towards him as he took a small break on the sideline. He noticed Todd approach him.

"Looking good out there Josh, I'm Todd Adamson, GM of the Centurions, Mind if I ask you some questions?"

"No problem," Joshua said to him with a smile.

"First Question, how do think you'd fit in with our offense if you get drafted by us?"

"I've heard you guys got Nick Wexler, I remember watching that Division Three Championship win against Philly years ago, He knows how to read a defense and it the ball to who is open. I got some of the best hands in the game so I hope to work with him if you guys to draft me, plus I've been trying to work on my speed as well, hopefully I can get open quicker," The WR answered.

"Second question, what do you think about getting drafted in the newly formed Division Four, it's considered the new 'Scrub League' and some think it's not worth being drafted into it?"

"It is what it is, I would love to get into the upper divisions but that's not always possible," Joshua answered honestly.

"Thank you for your time Joshua, we'll be in touch."

A few days later, Antwan Green Interview.

Todd walks up to Antwan Green as the man gets into the locker room, after he had just worked out for the Centurions. He had just gotten his shirt off when he heard Todd walking behind him. He turns to see Todd stop behind him.

"Sorry to delay your much deserved shower but I am Todd Adamson, GM of the Centurions, mind answering some questions?"

"Not a problem," Antwan said with a nod.

"First question, what do you think you could bring our team if you get drafted by us?"

"I have the ability to help the O-Line in protecting the quarterback with my blocking but also have the talent to catch the ball if the need arises," He answered quickly.

"Second question, what do you think about getting drafted in the newly formed Division Four, it's considered the new 'Scrub League' and some think it's not worth being drafted into it?"

Antwan pondered that question for a few seconds before answering.

"I'm not going to lie to you, I'd rather get drafted into a higher Division, preferably Division Two but I do know that injuries I sustained in collage may affect my standing in the draft, so I won't be too surprised if I do end up in Division Four," He answered bluntly.

"I respect your honesty, we'll be in touch regardless," Todd said.

A few days later, Todd's office.

Todd was not in a good mood, the last of the private workouts, Frank Kinison, decided not to show up for his workout. He tried in vain to get a hold of him but he could not reach him, not by phone, Facebook or Twitter. Suddenly his text notification went off and he pulled his phone out, showing him that Kalvin had texted him a link to a YouTube video. He clicked on it and once the video loaded up, he saw Frank Kinison on the streets, talking to somebody holding up a cellphone camera.

"Man screw those Division Four scrubs, I aint playing for any of those F****ers, you hear that scrubs, if you draft me, I'm going to go on stage and spit on your jersey, cause I'm only going to play for a Division One team, fools!"

Todd could only shake his head in disappointment, Kalvin said he had an attitude problem but thinking he was only play for a Division One team despite his projection in the draft. Todd had seen this before, some hotshot thinks he's the second coming of Kid Franchise only to either not get drafted because of their attitude or be a bust. Another text came through, Todd knew what Kalvin was going to say.

"I take it Kinison is off the list?"

Todd punched in his response real quick.

"Damn right he's off the list,"

Sorry for the short wait for this chapter, had some things to deal with in my personal life but I am back!

So in this chapter we see the potential draft picks get their interviews. The idea of Todd asking them all what they feel about possibly being drafted into the new"scrub league" was to gauge if their response. Those who were humble or at least honest would get more consideration compared to somebody who acted arrogantly.

I know in the first chapter that Kristina said the League didn't like using term "Scrub League" to describe the lowest Division but in universe, it's still used by the players and teams.

Next up, DRAFT NIGHT! Lets see who the Centurions pick up!
