TitaniaElizabethEye Thank you so much for your review. I wanted to wrote something different. Hopefully I can pull it off.

Nothing-Everything-Something I really like your name. It reminds me of when someone asks me what's wron lolg, that would totally be my answer. I am sorry that my story isn't living up to your expectations. The break in the story just crept up on me. My muse leads and I feel compelled to follow. I hadn't really thought about making one shots. They are not really something I like. To try and help you out, Sarah has been set up by Karen, her friend, and The Labyrinth itself. She does not sit and pine around or afraid of Gareth coming to "get revenge" or take Toby back. There is a threat to the labyrinth, with mayhem following all around.

Sarah didn't quite know where to start, but she began blurting the most simplest statement she could think. "Hoggle is my friend." She looked looked at Stephen in the eye unwavering.

She took a step forward, and began her tale. "Once upon a time, there was a beautiful, young girl whose stepmother always made her stay home with the baby.

And the baby was a spoiled child and he wanted everything for himself and the young girl was practically a slave." Stephen never stopped staring at her, she finally reached him. "He wasn't really that bad, Toby was just going through a phrase, and I was too spoiled and selfish to understand or even care."

"But the king of the goblins is a selfish creature. Oh, yes, he is real. But what no one knew was that the king of the goblins had fallen in love with the girl and had given her certain powers." She heard Hoggle shuffling into the room, grumbling to himself. Stephen to a look in his direction, a worried look crossed his face before taking a deep breath. " I take it he's the king of the goblins?"

Hoggle smirked and began laughing as he set the tray down. "Not likely. I doubt he would appreciate the comparison anymore than I." Sarah began to laugh. " No. Hoggle is a dwarf. Jareth is a bit more complicated than that." Stephen just nodded. "And Hoggle may love me, but I doubt he is in love with me." Hoggle added sugar and cream to Sarah's liking, handing her the cup. He didn't look at her, trying to hide his blush.

"Back to the story. Have you ever made a wish, a wish so impossible that you knew there was no way it would ever happen?" He nodded. " My wish came true. I wished the king of the goblins to take Toby away. And he did." Hoggle stood off in the corner listening. " I took it back. But he said it was too late, what's said is said and all. He took Toby to his castle in the Goblin City, in the center of the labyrinth. Hoggle guards the labyrinth entrance, among other things. "

"But Toby is here. I've seen him?" Stephen all but shouted. "Not too bright, this one." Hoggle murmured. Sarah gave him a look, as if saying help or be quiet. "She won him back. Not all wishers even want to try. Most," Hoggle began with a far away look in his eye. "When given a choice between having your dreams and...well most chose their dreams" He stopped talking. Sarah took her friend by his hand, Hoggle blushing even harder. "I would not have been able to do it without you." Stephen glared slightly, looking at Hoggle as if he were solving a puzzle. "How did Hogwarts help you, cause that is what I am understanding."

"It's Hoggle!" Sarah and Hoggle both shouted at once. Stephen looked at them both, eyebrow cocked up and arms crossed. "Whatever. So this isn't some weird trauma induced dream? I am not really laying in the floor at your parents? Your father didn't deck me for shacking up with his princess?"

"Queen." Hoggle said. " She is outright Queen." Sarah nodded, not knowing what else to say. Stephen looked confused and angered. He was standing one minute and pacing the next. She was sure if he was able, he would be walking on the ceiling like Jareth. That thought alone almost made her laugh. "I don't even know how to respond to this. It seems so far fetched, and unreal."

"No, you are not imagining things. No you are not o the floor ay my dad's. The labyrinth is not just a wall, but it's own being. And I Queen. Jareth is still king. But officially we are not wed, it's kind of a grey area." She shrugged.

Stephen remained quiet a few seconds before responding "So, i can only assume Jare..." Sarah reached up quickly covering his mouth with her hand. "You mustn't even say his name" His eyebrow popped up even more. "What is he, like Beetlejuice?" He sighed. " How can you be so calm about this?! Do your parents know? Does Toby know? What kind of fool do you take me for? For fucks sake Sarah, you look like one of the Lord of the Rings?!"

"Tell me he doesn't look like that ogre ish glob from the movie?" Hoggle shot tea from his nose in laughter, and began choking in the process. He ended up rolling in hysterics on the floor. "That is quite enough, Hoggle!" Sarah said, trying to sound serious, but failing. " No. I am not ok. I was given powers I didn't ask for, the love of at an age when I wasn't ready, a whole kingdom and its people whom I was responsible for at an age when I didn't even want to babysit my brother."

Sarah took a deep breath, trying to center herself. She untucked her hair done behind her ears. "The aging process began to slow down immediately after my win, and stopped ten years ago. I don't know if it has shut down completely, or just slown down. I can change my appearance, that I have just learned to do."

Stephen just nodded, feeling the fight leaving him. "I'm sorry." She nodded. " My parents do not know, Toby has heard the story several times and even though he had seen things. He just kind of accepted them."

"So he is in denial?" Stephen asked. Hoggle kept standing there, quietly. He had been fidgeting since the beginning of the conversation. "Oh! Sarah you done told him your story, but we gots to go!" Sarah and Stephen looked at Hoggle, forgetting that he was there for a purpose. "Sorry Hoggle, what is going on back home?"

Hoggle stood straighter. "His royal ratness took a small group to try and kill the Unseelie queen. He had been gone for days. He took a small group, Didymus included. The labyrinth is unprotected, and you're the queen. Someone must always be there. Queen Tatiana sent me for ya girlie."

"Ok. Let me pack. Stephen, stay here until I return or go back home. I am being called to duty." As Sarah began to pack a few items, Stephen began following her, arguing. " I'm going with you." He said.

"No. You are not!" She replied.

"Why? Because I'm not a fairy! Or a dwarf like Hoggle here!"

"It's Hoggle! And yes, that is why!" She began yelling louder and louder.

"Sarah. Stop and look at me. You can't drop a bomb on me like this, and expect me not to go. I feel like I need to go. I care too much about you. Please, don't push more aside." They gazed into each others eyes, and Sarah felt herself giving in.

"Fine. We will gave go grab some food, and try will need go grab some clothes. RULES!!!!!

1. DON'T EAT ANY FOOD!!!!!

2. NEVER OUTRIGHT THANK ANYONE!

3. Stay with me. and must importantly don't take anything for granted. Not everything is as it seems."

"Sarah... I's don't think you should be taking him." She didn't disagree. "I can't leave him here."

The three grabbed what they could, and stood in trying if the mirror. Sarah took Stephen's hand and the Hoggle's in the other. "Hold on, don't let go. And the first sign that you can't handle it and trust me on this, I will wipe your memory clear of the whole thing and you will only think of this as a dream. Got it?!" Stephen took her hand, half smiling. "Got it."

The three simmered though, landing by Hoggle's house. Hoggle quickly let go of Sarah's hand. Stephen began looking around. " I guess we're not in Kansas anymore."
