…...

Hoggle is HOGGLE'S friend. He always has been, and always will be. At least that is what he thought until that fatefull day when SHE showed up. Blech! Not really, if he was being honest. If Hoggle could be honest, he would say that was the best day of his life. Sarah came into his life, and for one day he was a hero.

Hoggle was a natural born coward, he knew that. Sarah made him feel like he could face anyone, even Jareth. She had been a wonderful friend, always there for him. Hoggle loved Sarah very much. She gave him friendship, self worth, and a mob full of friends including two honorary brothers. Though, again, that would be a secret he took to the grave. She made him feel better that he had in ages, not since... Well, that doesn't matter anymore.

Yet, he never expected her to become his queen. He felt guilty about not feeling guilty about that, and the labyrinth had bound itself to her. They all had felt when it happened, during her win. He spoke to Jareth after the win. A conversation that both swore never to speak of again, but it made clear, on both parts, that Sarah was very important to them both.

Now, there was an enemy. A very real enemy, who could change the whole structure of both the underground and by extension above. They were all in danger.

Above all, Sarah was important to them both. She was also important to the citizens of the labyrinth. She had softened Jareth and his heart, and that was something that no amount magic in the underground could have ever accomplished. She also had a temper that both feared.

So, now he found himself in Sarah's house, wasting time explaining things to this...human. An ugly one at that, looked like that actor she was so fond of. Hoggle shuddered at the hours long marathon he was forced to watch with her. That was a horrible period, the kitchen staff had to hide the silverwear when the goblins began using them as make-shift claws. He still had the scar as proof.

After what seemed like forever, they were finally packing to leave. He did not want to have to face Jareth's wrath once they found him. Dumb Rat. They walked through the portal, leading through a safe passage to Queen Tatiana'a secret chamber. Then queen was with a few of her ladies upin waiting.

Sarah and Tatiana walked up to each other, embracing quickly, before Tatiana seemef to notice their company. The queen looked at Hoggle, as he tried to look for a place to hide. "I told her not to bring him. No one listens to Hoggle! " Sarah looked back at at her friend, and took a deep breath. "It is not his fault. I ordered Hoggle. And I could not leave Stephen, it is not safe."

The queen quickly nodded. "Fine." She said. "Hoggle, I will deal with you later. You have completed your task here, now go. You have much to do." Hoggle ran up, and bowed to both Tatiana and then Sarah. He walked up to Stephen, stink eye and all. He began jabbing his sausage like finger into Stephen's abdomen. " I don't agree with yous being here. Sarah is Hoggle's friend. Sarah gets hurt, and yous gets hurt double!" Stephen nodded, mouth gapping open. Hoggle humphed and walked to his next task.

Hoggle had to find his brothers, they had word where Jareth was being held, they didn't have much time.

Sorry the chapter is so short and vague. Hoggle loves Sarah, and she loves him. He has grown some, as all characters should. My next chapter will be longer, and we will see what Hoggle has been up to. Please keave a review!
