20 Things You Might Not Have Known About Kuchiki Rukia
Rukia's first kiss wasn't with Ichigo. Or Renji for that matter. It was with one of the other boys in their adopted home in Rukongai. He knew he was dying and his final request was a kiss. Rukia couldn't help but oblige.
When Shirayuki left Rukia, after she had given her powers to Ichigo so he could save his family, it felt like a piece of her had gone forever.
And when her powers came back, Shirayuki refused to speak to her for a week.
She doesn't like romance manga much. All too often, she finds herself relating too much to those characters in the position of the mournful, forbidden love interest.
Rukia finds Kiyone and Sentaro's complete loyalty to Ukitake-taichou both irksome and admirable. Mostly though, she thinks it is just a great deal of sucking up.
She hasn't always loved bunnies. Someone actually gave Rukia her first one as a present, and when she didn't hate it, people kept giving her rabbits as gifts. Eventually, she decided they were rather cute, and decided to keep them.
Rukia can't help wonder about the woman who haunts her dreams at night. The woman looks an awful lot like her, and is constantly apologizing for leaving her behind.
She really doesn't mind being short. It makes things like sleeping in closets much more comfortable.
However, she absolutely loathes being picked up and tossed around like some oversized rag doll. Feet should remain firmly on the ground, thank you very much.
To this day, Rukia isn't entirely sure why that one wisp of hair likes to remain in the center of her forehead.
She doesn't have any real aspirations to become a captain. She does think it would be nice to be a seated member of her division, however.
Rukia knows that her Nii-sama has not had the most pleasant life. She thinks this is why his coldness doesn't bother her too much.
Sometimes, she regrets not having graduated from the Shinigami Academy, mostly as a matter of personal pride. She doesn't regret being placed in the Thirteenth Division, however.
She doesn't really understand why humans like Don Kanonji so much, no matter how amusing his laugh is.
She credits her passing grade in Japanese solely to the mass quantities of manga she would read each night, huddled in Ichigo's closet. Speaking the language for 150 years probably also helped a little.
Rukia often wonders just how she got blackmailed into joining the Shinigami Women's Association.
Once in awhile, usually at night, when it is raining, she still questions why Ichigo risked life and limb to save her from Soul Society.
Rukia also knows that Ichigo has grown stronger, but she likes to tell him he's weak because she knows he'll go ahead and do it anyway. It keeps the status quo.
She hates the colors black and white.
Rukia knows that she could have opened that juice box on her own. However, it is a great deal more fun to irritate Ichigo until he does it for her.
