"WAIT! HOLD UP! YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!" Eddie's shrill voice whisper screamed behind me as I exited the bushes and began to stand to make my way over to where I saw one of the two officers asked to take care of the body pull one of the patrol vehicles backwards to a side door.
I Observed as the other of the two officers opened the trunk of the vehicle and shove their fellow deceased officer in awkwardly before slamming the trunk shut and quickly moving to the passenger side to join the other officer inside the vehicle.
"I'm quite serious actually." I responded without looking at Eddie.
"But.. but…" The others looked uneasy as Eddie stuttered trying to find the words to make a good argument to change my mind.
The vehicle began to pull out from the side of the station slowly as I made my way swiftly across the street.
"Would you rather I find someone still alive then Eds?" I shot over my shoulder before making it over to the parking lot of the police station and stopping in front of the officers vehicle. As I did so, I heard nothing else from the group. Though I could feel their eyes on my back.
"GET OUT OF THE WAY!" The officer driving had rolled down his window and began shouting at me as he waved his arm about agitated.
There was a shift change in my demeanor as I approached the driver's side window and leaned over, sticking my head in, right in the man's face.
The aura around me shifted and became thick and menacing as I stared both men down with a menacing grown forming on my lips.
"Gentlemen, I believe we can help each other." T
he officers looked at each other uneasy before looking at me again. Sweat began to bead on their brows as I continued to direct and isolate my overwhelming presence on them.
"W… what do you want?"
I gave them a toothy grin as I slapped my hands down on open window of the car door, gripping it tightly, "I believe you two are wishing to get rid of something quite damning and I'd like to take it right off your hands for you." My voice rose in a jovial tune as my eyes shifted to the direction of the trunk. "I'll take your friend back there and you two forget all about our little dealings. You both drop him off by the sewer opening by the stream in the woods, drive around for a bit. Help an old lady cross the street perhaps, then make your way back here and forget everything about our little talk and where you dumbed the body. You just happen to remember finding a spot where a hunger bear was spotted and dumped him there in the woods for it to feed off of. Does that sound like a good deal?" My toothy grin grew as I smiled at them. My brows deepening as a low rumbling growl came from my chest.
The officer eyes had glazed over by this point. Only nodding their heads as they stared at me.
"Wonderful!" I chirped, "Then it's a deal and I'll leave you two to your work." My voice became light as my face changed back to a softer friendlier one. My grip loosened and pulled away from the car door as I began to back up.
"Drive safely officers." I waved before placing my hands into my hoodie pockets and making my way back across the street to the Losers.
The officers beginning to drive off again behind me as I sighed, taking a mental check of myself as I began to hunch and crouch by the group again. Hidden once more. No one else had noticed the interaction other then them.
"What the hell just happened?" Richie as always was first to speak his mind.
"I took care of the situation that was presented. They won't remember I even spoke to them." I waved it off sighing before rubbing my face. I felt tense. My body felt like a spring after letting even just little of Pennywise's influence out. I felt like I could snap like a fragile twig.
"Are you alright Bobby?" I looked up at Bill and shook my head.
"That messed with my head a bit… I can't let too much of IT out or…" I swallowed, rubbing my hands together nervously as I looked away ashamed.
"Don't push yourself too hard Bobby." I felt Bill touch my shoulder lightly before pulling away just as quickly as he had placed it.
"I don't want you over doing it and hurting yourself or chance something bad happening…We'll do what we can to help. Just ask."
I looked up, Bill looked somehow more grown then seconds before. The whole group did. All nodding and affirming Bill's words.
"I… I'll try, but I don't want any of you hurt on my account… I'm doing all this to make sure you are all safe. Even…" My muscles tensed as I looked away again.
"I know… you're trying to protect us even from IT by doing this…even trying to do it in a way that no one innocent has to suffer."
I nodded weakly, not looking up at him or the rest of them.
"Yes… I don't… I don't want to chance your lives… or any other innocence if I can help it. While I can help it…"
An overwhelming silence fell upon us as my words sank in. They knew now that I wouldn't be able to keep that part of me in control forever. Even if they believed Pennywise was just using my body like a victim trapped under it's control. The truth really being there would be a point after this whole ordeal was over, not for another twenty seven years, that I would no longer be in control and IT would have the control once more. Using that power now only increased the chances of a slip up now instead of then. If I wasn't careful I could lash out at anyone, even them. I was going to do my best until I could put that part of me back to sleep to keep it in control. No matter what was needed. No matter how inconvenient it was for me.
"I want you all to go and stay at your club house until I get done and find you." I cut through the silence, feeling I sounded louder then the hushed voice I was speaking with.
"How do you know about our club house?" Stan meekly spoke up beside Richie. My brows rose as I gave him a look as if he was seriously asking that question.
"Because right now, what IT remembers, I remember."
That visibly put a shiver down all their spins before looking at me with pity.
"Why all the more I don't want to chance anything that can harm you. To keep … keep all this under control… I… I'll have to do things I would rather not, but I will do them in a way that I won't feel guilty about doing. That officer didn't deserve what happened to him… but he's no longer alive. He won't be hurt anymore. His fear was just enough that it will help in the end to keep you all safe. I.. I'll have to find… more at some point… but I have already been thinking of what to do and not a single child or innocent person will disappear while I'm still Bobby. I promise you all that. On Linda and on Georgie, I promise."
I hadn't noticed till now how stiff they all had been until they heard my words and accepted I meant it all. My own body had loosened a bit as well, relaxing as they did as well.
"I… I don't want any of you around when those times come… I'll find you after each… when I know I am in full control of myself. I don't want a chance anything. Do you all understand and agree to what I am asking of you?" I looked each one of them in the eyes, pleading with them as I did.
They each nodded before looking away.
"Just… come back to us as yourself Bobby… promise you'll always be you… We can't lose another friend…" Beverly spoke so softly, it was barely above a whisper as she spoke what I could slowly hear as shouts in all their minds. Worry for not just themselves but for myself as well. A worry I would be lost to the monster that inhabited my body and drove me to devour the fear and flesh of the living and the dead.
"I promise. If it should happen…" Their bodies stiffened again, " If, I want you all to promise me you will do whatever you can to stop me. Promise you will use the knowledge you used before on me, to stop me from causing any of you harm. I have no plans of letting myself disappear to that Monster any time soon, but I want to know you all will be ready and won't hesitate to stop IT even if it sounds or looks like me. Even if it promises to give me back to you, don't listen and do what you must to stop IT. You got it?"
They all nodded though large frowns were on all their faces as I knew how much they hated the idea of it. All their thoughts were so loud in that moment that I almost didn't hear the small voice from beside me.
"Don't worry, Linda and I won't let anything happen to them if it comes down to that."
A shiver went down my own spin as I slowly turned my head to the spot the voice came from. A bright yellow rain jacket caught my eye before the bright smile and shaggy brown hair came into my view.
"Georgie?"
